  1. It is so heart warming to read the condemnations of these stupid farangs who exposed their butts in a temple, and how they deserve lashes and other punishment for their crime... Crime? It just came to my attention an episode in the news that confirms that not all is smiles in this land: "Thai cadet’s death, organ removal spark debate on military’s hazing culture" "When the parents could receive the corpse of their 18-year-old son, he lacked brain, heart, stomach and bladder. Now they demand clarification. The death of the cadet sheds light on brutal practices in the Thai military" One can google articles about this incident everywhere. With the smiles of the money boys and other nice Thais we cross everywhere it is easy to forget that there is a repressive regime in place. To give lashes to some immature tourists who exposed their butts in a temple? Is this so different from the case of the American tourist in N. Korea who was caught removing a political pamphlet and thrown in jail which caused his death? I rather choose to live in a country with good individual rights.
  2. Yes, I like white on boys in one sense: white speedos on Asian boys of light tan skin. But... what is a "chemical" white? How about an ultrasound white?
  3. Marketers capitalize on anything that brings them profits. If the makers of whitening products are at fault, so should be the makers of darkening products like self tanning sprays, guilty of exploiting the desires of people to look like they just spent a vacation at the Riviera. And how about the makers of hair dyes exploiting the notion that white hairs make people look older, or the makers of beauty creams guilty of exploiting the desires of people to look younger? Maybe God should have reserved a specially dark corner of hell to castigate all these criminals?
  4. If I had only one night in BKK the Royal Crematorium would be the last of my thoughts. ANY crematorium...
  5. You were laughing ?? I thought you were Only Serious... But I like your thinking that walking 100 meters is nothing.
  6. And it is questionable if ANY action taken at that occasion can become a moral teaching. Boys probably think that they are so seductive, so attractive to the farang that anything they do to him will be excused and forgiven. They may not steal so easily from their fellow boys or other Thai.
  7. I question the level of morality of a country where rampant corruption by police is tolerated yet two guys who for some stupidity lowered their pants exposing their bottoms in the proximity of a temple face "legal action".
  8. Are you serious? They are ABOUT equidistant in any map, and your eyes are the best judge of which are the closest depending on where on Silom and the best way to go.
  9. This is right. I was kind of ambiguous writing that Malaysia and Babylon are about the same distance from Silom.
  10. The Malaysia is at about the same distance from Silom as Babylon, which is not more than an easy walk for us young people.
  11. Pattaya was my first destination ever in LOS, in 2005. I went from the BKK airport straight to the Ambiance hotel in Boys Town and stayed there for two days. Had there my first and only off, very successful. But BKK was more interesting to me because I have always been a gay sauna person. Now I am at a stage where I want to try out moneyboys, therefore I'm inclined to include Pattaya in my future trips. I will only need city transport when bars are too far from hotel to walk, and then a city bus may help.
  12. The French are quite liberal, I don't think they would mind too much. But if two guys would show off their cocks in front of the main altar of the St. Peter basilica at the Vatican, some old ladies would faint in horror while some priests would get a hard on.
  13. LOL! What people don't do to feel "unique"
  14. My first visit to Babylon was in 2005 and the last one in 2016. I haven't seen much difference in the 11 years in between. It is still clean enough that I find no reasons to complain. It gets good quality customers, and if there are more old farangs now it may be that it became more famous and we have the money to go there. And I see no reasons why it should change. Its owner is a wealthy farang which has it asa his pet project, and why would he let it come down? His employees have been with him forever and know all the skills of the trade. It must make changes like every place, and some may be more successful than others, but nothing seems in the way for mistakes to be corrected and keep improving. Why would the Chinese "bring back the luster"? If I were a young Thai, I would much prefer older farangs in good shape over fat Chinese...
  15. The more I read about Pattaya the more inclined I am to make it my primary destination (with Babylon second) in any future trip to LOS. This comes with a more liberal view of moneyboys. I'm in little need of temples, fine restaurants, impressive buildings, spectacular events, or cultural experiences that don't involve the culture, cultivation of pleasure.
  16. Time is a valuable commodity and to give one's time deserves compensation (money). What is done for compensation can be called "work". Time is also a common measure of work, with salaries paid by the hour, the day, the month. So many public employees are paid by the month, even if they do nothing or do negative work... Compared to them, the companionship of Cambodian moneyboys can be much more deserving
  17. Me. As a veteran traveler (34 trips overseas, 7 of them to Thailand) I have never set foot at the Malaysia hotel. Instead I have visited Malaysia 11 times (does this count?)
  18. I knew about the Isla de Pascua, but never heard of Ahu Vinapu until I saw the alias of our illustrious member here. (I hope he does not hang himself over the failure to visit Babylon, but instead visits it. ) Be assured Vinapu that the first experience of Babylon is much more relevant that the first visit to Tawan. (this is from an elaborate analysis since I've never been in Tawan... but I can imagine)
  19. Clients of money boys should be all over the world. Why cannot the Cambodians (and others) come the the US instead of us having to go to Thailand? I know, it's the immigration laws. But if Trump's employees can get special visas because they have skills not found in the US, with much more reason Asian money boys should qualify for that !
  20. I am like Christian, with a heart not of ice but of dry ice (-78.5 deg.C) when it comes to institutionalized solicitations. In a church it takes me a microsecond to pass the collection plate to the next in line, and all the abundant mail I get asking for money goes straight into the garbage.
  21. Your memory may be a little rusty because it is "do not lead US into temptation", a different meaning... But what you wrote is right. We should not tempt others. This is why I have no problems walking around in third world countries looking like a pauper. (but a pauper with class )
  22. If he is your type, you could invite him over and over again without him ever knowing that you know but making sure that there is nothing around for him to steal again, and in this way the lost 1800 THB will get evened out over many offs. If he is offed 18 times, the loss gets down to 100 THB per off, no more than a tip for some friendly smile at a bar.
  23. Why 50% at most and not 40% or 60%? You must have some interesting formulas...
  24. A comedy indeed... I would have done the same, except for the five euro note. Maybe you tried to be Jesus Christ with his "give the other cheek"?
  25. Too bad you checked out so fast. You must not have enjoyed the communal breakfast: a large room with two large tables where gays sit around for an hour enjoying a good buffet breakfast and chatting about gay and traveler topics... like this forum but at a breakfast table. Another plus is the free, sometimes privileged, entry to the sauna, with unlimited exit/return. And the shared bathroom in each floor is no hardship, not even having to leave the room to use it. It can become a playing ground for those over excited during the night. The rooms have doors with locks of course, but one night I accidentally left mine unlocked and a young guy came in looking for company and he found it, and we continued from there in the shared bathroom and someone else's room. Not a unique experience but something nice to remember, something one does not find at the Malaysia or Raya hotels. For this, I'm willing to do away with in-room TV, which I seldom watch anyway.
