  1. This is a good guide for the wise! And it could serve me well, because I care more about low airfares than good weather. I am happy walking in the rain, as long as it is not too strong. Since I care more about seeing cute gays than seeing clear skies, I may look into July/August to catch those vacationing students too. Thank you all for your advice!
  2. After several recent cancellations due to my friend's health problems I had to cancel once again a trip to BKK planned for Sonkran, something that brings tears to my eyes. I have liked so much BKK on special occasions because I enjoy cruising their saunas and bars when they are packed on holidays. After I came to this forum and read the reports I'm warming up to the idea of trying out massage places and gogo bars and see if I like the value of paying for the best, something new for me. This is my question to you BKK experts: which are in your opinion the best occasions after Songkran (mid April) and before October to visit BKK and perhaps Pattaya? Does the Summer heat matter? Are boys hotter in Summer?
  3. Hmmm.... "one always looks good with ruins in the background"... what does this mean? One is less of a "ruin" having real ruins in the background? Hahaha... just kidding
  4. A hijacked thread? This is indeed comical. If you came to this thread looking for alternative places to retire, don't you have all the time in the world to read alternative posts in a thread about alternative places?
  5. muscfair... I'm sorry you are wrong... no, you are wrong... no, you are wrong... how comical. If you are a Buddhist, I won't try to convince you. I only write what is commonly held about Buddhism. I don't have "inside information". Nothing is known that could have been written by the Buddha. His philosophy passed down by word of mouth for generations, and he was made more and more supernatural to fit the flavor people have for miracles. In reality, the same happened with Jesus Christ. There are even doubts if he really existed. If you can believe in them, these religions can give you a nice peace of mind. But if you don't believe, there are other ways to gain peace of mind. Peace!
  6. Right. Even in permissible USA a case like that would be criminally prosecuted. Not even the good Catholic priests who do this with their altar boys are saved from the law now.
  7. I would also choose Malaysia to retire, specifically Kuala Lumpur. Cost of living is low, facilities are good, a friendly language (English) is common. The gay scene is adequate. Should I get tired of it, Singapore is only 5 hours away by bus, with its Asian gays that are my favorite. And Bangkok is only a short flight away, with its tons of also enjoyable Asian gays. And when I become a customer of commercial gay sex, I will find there the best deals
  8. You may correct me, but, sorry to tell you, you are wrong. Buddhism is a non-theistic religion that has purely philosophical basis. There are no almighty creator gods in Buddhism. Like with most religions, the teachings of Gautama Buddha, the "awakened one", were expanded by his followers (thinking that they were "enhancing" them) and have resulted in countless rules of this-and-that, in countless "sutras". I have never touched a Buddhist sutra in my life. I am an agnostic, educated in the Catholic religion. But I understand quite well the Buddhist philosophy and I like it. It makes much more sense to me than the Christian fairy tales.
  9. I share your opinion, there are other countries to retire not far from Singapore that offer much better value. Could you live most of the time in Malaysia or Thailand and still receive income from Singapore? I also find that SG has been able to keep its Muslim population tolerant and away from extreme fanaticism. And the same cannot be said for Christians. All flavor of Christians have done some horrible proselytizing in SG, And with the population being so eager to do "the right thing" and earn the best of the precious heaven by being "more Catholic than the Pope", the proselytizers have had an easy time. Specially non-denominational sects like City Harvest Church have done such a religious exploitation, invariably helped by strong homophobia. We all hope that justice prevails in your country and these crooks will go to jail for a long time. I remember another incident that exposed how voraciously poisonous the Christian fanatics are in SG. It was the infiltration and invasion of this good organization AWARE with the sickening religious homophobia of a group of fanatic Evangelicals from the Church of our Savior, lead by a master inquisitor Thio Su Mien. Fortunately, the invaders were kicked out. Hopefully the good people of Singapore realize how they are being duped by this religious opportunists with their theistic doctrines, and return to a healthy secularism or the worship of a non-religious philosophy like Buddhism.
  10. The law against gay sex, section 377A, is not enforced and it should be on its way out. Singapore has some interesting gay saunas, where you can go free of concerns of any kind (except getting STDs of course). - Cruise Club is where the youngest and fittest congregate, and many are correspondingly picky and snobby. - Keybox sauna (ex one-seven) is more friendly, but the public is less attractive. - Ten Men sauna (ex Absolute) is an ideal very friendly place for those a little chubby who don't like to be rejected. That I know of, you should not have problems sharing an hotel room with others, or bringing in visitors. Singapore lodging is quite expensive, and one should not have to tolerate any issues with that. For good information about the Singapore gay scene visit and get free membership in www.blowingwind.org
  11. You don't seem to have a very auspicious attitude. Who knows why! But this is for you to deal with.
  12. And some very cute non-Asians too. The qualifier there is "Model" and male. We are ethnically open-minded
  13. Cuba has one thing in common with Thailand, and this is the low standard of living there and the power our dollars have to buy the kind of services that are desired. I have never been there but I know many Cubans in the US, especially very unattractive ones, who go there periodically to relieve their strong urges for young boys. Cubans are not as friendly as Thais, and they may not be such good material for boyfriends, but Latinos are a good looking ethnicity.
  14. Wide stretches not a gorgeous ballet dancer make. Didn't you read firecat69's post indicating that these kind of photos belong to the thread "Some Model Photoshots" ?
  15. I have lived through ONE Songkran in BKK: The positive: an opportunity for big events like foam parties and orgies in the saunas I like. The negative: taking the water thrown at me by so many idiots without punching anyone in the face. The wasteful: attended one GCircuit pool party that bored me to death.
  16. These four pictures are not bad. But with the coldness of winter now felt here in the US, all that water makes me shiver.
  17. It does not appear that much positive may come out of your planned action. Some time ago someone wrote a lot of stupidities in an article. Surely the author must have realized what he did wrong, but he does not seem to have the intelligence to back out of what he wrote. Fortunately, an attentive audience gave him a piece of their minds and their satisfaction doing so may compensate for the evil spewed in that unfortunate article. The more this episode can be forgotten, the lesser the evil. Why rock the boat? In any case, I see little chance for the sex industry to suffer since it is something that leads to nice win-win situations. Compare this with the gun industry in my country, where so many sanctimonious conservatives support it even if it causes millions of victims!
  18. You will surely look much younger if you think that you are not too old but handsome.
  19. I like your kind reasoning of a non-condemning explanation of why Thais may appear to some as being tactless. After all, they are smart people, and they would not speak in a way that they themselves perceive as ugly. Since this happens in their country, they have the right to be judged by their standards.
  20. I think that you screwed it up with your second message: "Yes indeed: An opportunity to get as much money out of you as possible while you are there and by doing as little as possible to get it. WELCOME! " Please name a touristic place that does not try to get as much money they can out of you while doing as little as possible to get it. This even applies perfectly well to most enterprises, businesses. This seems so obvious that you bringing it up gives the feeling that you hold some resentment towards the Land of Smiles. I am a frugal guy, and the reason I come so often to Thailand is that I recognize that it is a good value for the price. So I found myself quite amused reading your posts.
  21. I don't find "very beautiful, you not so beautiful but have beautiful heart, I like you" something so rude or disrespectful. An older man with plenty of self-confidence should be able to take the "you not so beautiful" Taken in comparison with two gorgeous young guys this is nothing. Taken as an absolute it is harder, but why take it that way, since beauty is relative anyway? "the door is wide open, let the irrelevant comments begin!!!" -> this IS rude and disrespectful to the posters here. But you deserve praise for having begun the irrelevant comments.
  22. I think the older man chose the wrong feelings. He should have let his Thai boy flirt with the Russians with a sense of amusement. If the Russians responded, he should have invited them to their table in hopes that he could get them to join together on some bed around him. And if the Russians didn't respond, he could then console the Thai boy even more impressed by his beautiful heart with his own cock.
  23. LOL!
  24. Well, I was thinking that maybe to look younger IS to look better, but it is all in the eye of the beholder. Maybe you feel better if you find that in large sections of the world "papa" means "father", not grandfather.
