  1. Well... I have had some rough exchanges with Gaybutton... but this was before I read more of him. I have seen some useful, positive posts he wrote that make me think of him as a valuable contributor. Is he close to 70? More a reason to treat him with respect, although 70 is still a good way from "old". The 70 y.o. ones I know that fully qualify for "old" would never involve themselves with sites like this one or the one GB owns. Instead they are busy preparing themselves a good seat in heaven by becoming sanctimonious and strongly condemn the sinfulness of sex, by considering sex workers and their clients personifications of evil who end up in hell, and who find that licentious cities like BKK and especially Pattaya are places that God will punish like he did with Sodom and Gomorrah. In other words, a 70 year old who is actively involved in the good things in life is neither old nor lonely.
  2. The problem is not the followers of Bernie who dislike the Clinton, but those who would vote for such an abomination as the Trump. Bernie instructed his followers to vote for Clinton. BTW, thanks for calling me a stupid YOUNG pie in the sky. Of course I am young! Young enough of spirit to realize that Bernie would have had none of the problems the Clinton has now, and he would win in November by a landslide, if not for the special interests in the democrat party.
  3. "Ban idiots not Guns" !! This is completely idiotic. So an idiotic will not ban idiots. So guns need to be banned after all.
  4. I like the way you think and I hope many Republicans will do the same and vote for the least evil (Hillary). By the way, you should also vote for a Democrat to the House. This is because we have seen that the paralysis caused by the republican House is much more harmful than having a few exclusively democrat measures passed among many very needed new legislation that now is being blocked. And government shutdowns... are very harmful!
  5. Are you sure? Calling Caucasians "farangs" seems so harmless! Real racism, like that of many white trash in America who are religious conservatives, is not recognized as such by those who practice it. Even Donald Trump won't admit that he is a shameless racist. His big racial divide, besides Muslims vs. Christians, is the one between the very rich he likes to worship and the very poor he likes to exploit.
  6. She didn't let you take the dinner plate upstairs and finish it up while you masturbated in front of the camera? That is really strict!
  7. Well... I would not call these "totally normal conversations". The taboo that is going away is simply to be gay. Prostitution is still not looked at as normal.
  8. While you wonder, I find that all this is a good sign. The less people care about being found out, the more they will be found out. And as this happens, it will become less of a big deal. Ideally, nobody should consider sex acts as something to criticize.
  9. One of the strengths of Trump is that he rightfully addresses many problems that need solutions. This is (was) also the strength of Sanders. Maybe something good will come out of this, assuming Hillary wins, by raising the awareness of these problems and the need to solve them. But still, once the Clinton is elected, she can do as she pleases, at least for four years. She can just continue the status quo and favor those who helped her get elected. There should be some way for the electorate to keep pressure on the politicians after they win a certain term to motivate them to follow through with what the electorate wants.
  10. It seems that Buddhism is the real thing. Hitler has already reincarnated. I listened to Trump's speech yesterday about immigration, and one he gave the day before, and there are so many similarities. The man is the lowest of the lowest, and this makes him attractive to so much white trash in America. In two more months we will know for sure. But if elections don't favor Hillary, the least evil, I can always consider moving to Thailand or some other S.E. Asian country. This could be fun. If the smart, educated Germans couldn't resist falling for Hitler, will the proud Americans be able to resist Trump?
  11. For me, the meals during flights don't deserve too much attention as long as they are above some minimum standard. Most of my experience has been in flights by United Airlines, the champion in having some of the worst, substandard food one can imagine. And here I found that special meals are a bit better than the regular ones. And I don't give a damn about "adding to the crew's duties", since I find the United flight attendants among the ugliest (in looks and attitude) in the industry.
  12. But the US laws don't allow for Donald Duck to be president. So this is REALITY: Given that anybody else is better than Trump, and there is only ONE anybody else, we know already who to vote for.

    Fraud warning

I don't see that GayButton insinuated anything against you. That must be a misinterpretation. I had my issues with him, but I recognize that he is a decent guy.
  14. Hopefully the corrupt IOC will be discarded by the world community of nations by not offering them any venue for future games. And this community of nations should replace the IOC with a consortium of governments who will administer the Olympics to continue this stage for their athletes.
  15. Not all American young adults have this behavior. Some successful young people do very stupid things. This Lochte surely never dreamed of the repercussion his false accusation would bring. It did great damage to the reputation of the host country Brazil. I myself pointed an accusatory finger on the Brazilians and saw confirmation of the idea that crime is high there. Their grave mistake should have consequences. The Brazilian justice should have the opportunity to judge their actions and impose a sentence. About Lochte who run away and is now in the US out of reach of Brazilian justice, he should be given the option of returning to Rio and face the judge or lose his medal and be banned from the Olympics, either in the next game or for life.
  16. Now it appears that the story of the four swimmers about allegedly being assaulted was a hoax. Instead they vandalized a gas station and were confronted by security. Some days ago a big boss of the olympics organization was arrested on charges of profiteering with ticket scalpers. Some time ago (years?) some heads of this olympic committee were indicted on some frauds. This year I rate my experience of watching the games at a new low. I record the videos from NBC, and I do nothing but fast-forward and delete most of them, disgusted by all the advertisement crap, comments and boring stuff in them. Men's gymnastics and diving so far have been the fewest shown, but long boring games are everywhere. I am tired of seeing these cockless US gymnasts that won gold medals all over the media. I wish them good luck, but I'm not interested. Many poor and modest people were hurt in Rio by the setup of the games. I find the olympic games full of corruption and other negatives. I wish the athletes would have another venue to show their skills and get recognition. At least, the olympics should not be a PRIVATE business but maybe something administered by the UN. (this would give the organization something positive to exist on) And about the crime in Rio, it seems that the Olympic Games did fit right in with it...
  17. I agree with you. The most threads, the most posts, the better is the site. And with a descriptive title, anyone can choose to read a thread or not.
  18. Yes, "role model" is hard to understand for the Chinese tourists because they may not yet be seniors, and they all feel that they will never be old. Not everyone can be happy and laugh all the way until the last breath.
  19. First, you should never see yourself as "a typical old gay western man". Instead, you are an experienced person in full control of your life, with the freedom and means to travel around the world to get something you fancy. After all, YOU have the young Thai boyfriend, not those Chinese sheep that have to follow their guide. If this guide is smart he should point you out... as a role model.

    fears?

Where will you find two promiscuous guys who will abstain for sex at least for a month to make their negative HIV tests accurate, and thereafter engage in a purely monogamous relationship?
  21. We don't know what comes after death. We can only speculate.
  22. You feel very safe in the safety of your thinking. But I looked up Brazil, and this is what I read: "According to most sources, Brazil possesses high rates of violent crimes, such as murders and robberies; depending on the source (UNDP or World Health Organization), Brazil's homicide rate is 30-35 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants, placing Brazil in the top 20 countries by intentionalhomicide rate." So... thanks but no thanks. I have never felt threatened in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, but I would walk a big arc around any group of big Black dudes in Rio. On the other hand, Brazil is an example of providing free treatment for HIV and STDs to ALL its population. In comparison, how pitiful is "rich" Singapore, where people have to spend fortunes to buy their antiviral drugs! BTW, looking at statistics, I discovered this about the US (I'm glad I have my best sex far, far away...) The U.S. has the highest rate of STDs of any nation in the industrialized world, with roughly 110 million total incidents of infection in 2008. Treating all of those infections cost the country about $16 billion, the CDC estimated.
  23. I have never been in Brazil and although the gay scene may be plenty and inexpensive, I think there are greater risks there. One attraction I find in Asian countries is the non-violent nature of the population. There is much poverty in Brazil. There are many dark skinned people there and I don't find them attractive. Talking about the Olympics, I find that my favorite group are the Asian gymnasts and divers. Other guys I find too big for my likeness. Even the swimmers have become bigger, especially the Americans. So much of the videos of Rio I find boring, but I'm satisfied at the ease to fast-forward through them and erase them.
  24. Oh, maybe the tears of Obama set a new standard of sensibility towards the deaths of grandmas. I agree that it is an infamous abomination to have everybody die sooner or later.
  25. Your reply to my comment confirms what I said to you earlier. In today's global world we get endless news of unexpected tragedies that cause many victims. A natural death, which seems to have been the case of this grandmother in the excitement of a celebration, does hardly qualify as a big tragedy. But I have something to correct in my previous post: it is not that the article was over-sentimental, the article was simply news. But you took it with a tearful sentimentalism that made you horrified by my common-sense estimation, to the point that you chose to become insulting. You need to be more realistic and down-to-earth.
