One quick report for now. Off to Isaan (Roi Et) for a few days. Uniman. (http://www.thaimassageboy.com/Uniman%20Spa%20and%20Massage/boyplace.php?id=091) To finish off the Asoke cluster of massage spots (Banana Club, Uniman & Urban Male), I went to Uniman, in the Koreatown building near Sukhumwit Soi 12. Uniman is on the 4th floor, just to the right when you get off the elevators. I went about 5:00 in the afternoon, there were about 8-9 guys there. You select from the lineup of guys standing right there. The guys are very eager and almost compete to get your attention. (One exception - one twinkler type I swear ran to the back of the room. Maybe he doesn't like farang. OK with me.) Uniman is definitely the spot if you like mature older types. Most are very fit muscular. One guy with tattoos was downright scary (ha ha). Still for my particular tastes there were a few I could take in a pinch, so I think this is another one of those places where the owner tries to have a few of different types, but here definitely no really slim or fem. There was only one guy I really wanted, and I would have picked him out from a lineup at Prince or anywhere else. A 22 year very fit guy from Chiang Mai area. (Because he really was the only for me, I didn't get into any discussion with the boss about who did what.) The shop and rooms have seen better days. It's a bit tired and run down, but the same can be said of me, so not a big problem. Rooms are good size with shower. Bathroom in the hall. Shower alone but together after massage. Massage is on medium size mattress slightly elevated off the floor (much better than the high massage tables). Massage was very good and often times was at the sweet spot of combination massage and intense caressing. The massage was not rushed at all. Pretty much the opposite. We ran over the 90 minutes I had booked. The buy was much more sensual and affectionate than I was expecting, and Special Services were wonderful. I had a good massage here last year, so maybe they are the "we try harder" shop. Still the selection looks like it can be limited so if mature muscle guys are not your type, this might not be the place for you. I certainly will be coming back a lot (!!), but I only when I have booked the same guy in advance. 90 minute oil massage 650. The website says minimum tip hard 90 minutes 1,700 but I didn't know that when I went there and they certainly didn't point out minimum tip when I entered, so I gave the guy the usual 1,500 and he seemed happy, but I think I may have stiffed the guy. (Pun intended.) I'll make up for it next time. The minimum tips for "hard" seem a little off-market high here. When I go back I'll confirm whether the same prices are on the price list at the shop or just wishful thinking on the website.

Thanks to all for the encouraging thoughts. Body Club doesn't have a sign. They kindly sent me the attached picture to help me find it, but looking at it without my glasses, on my phone and with a brain now largely composed of sticky rice, I thought, "Oh good, what a nice big red sign," when of course it's just text superimposed onto the image. Looking for the big sign I walked right by, and was saved only because my guy happened to be sitting on the stoop at the end of the block. So look for the black glass door on the first block of buildings soi 97/1, not the non-existent big red sign, and you will find it easily.

Some dazzling reviews for this update. King Spa. (www.kingspabkk.com). Line ID: mspa.bkk King Spa participates in the Thaimassageboy.com site and Line groups, which is I how I found out about it. It is easy to find but a bit of a walk from the Bang Chak station of the Sukhumwit BTS line. The walk is roughly comparable to the walk from Sukhumwit to Hero. Because it was my first time I went daylight hours, probably got there about 4:30. It's a nice suburban house. I didn't see a sign but you can trust the map and the pictures. There is a curtained off room next to the waiting area where the boys sit and when it is time to make your selection the curtain is pulled back. There were about 5 guys, mostly early to mid-20's. I had a particular one in mind when I went there (based on the photos), but he wasn't there, so I picked another one who is the prototypical twink. And very very cute. Shower before and after alone. The massage rooms are huge with attached shower, bathroom in the hall. large bed/mattress on the floor. Massage boy naked throughout. The massage was very very good, on the sensual side rather than "ouch" therapeutic. One thing that my guy did superbly well was never to miss an opportunity to rest his junk on various parts of my body as he was massaging. It really makes the whole thing more exciting and fun for me. Special Services were above expectations. Not rushed and very enthusiastic. I give this spot the highest rating. One word of warning, as is typical outside of Bangkok center, the masseur had virtually no english. Fortunately my Thai is good enough for these purposes. Alas, the particular dream boy I had this time stopped appearing in the daily Line photo bomb, but let's hope he's just on holiday. Still there are enough other guys there that fit my bill that I will keep this spot high on my rotation list. It's on the middle of the left hand side of the first block of buildings on Soi 97/1. There is a black glass sliding door. James at Body Club posts pretty much daily updates on who is available. I saw a familiar face (someone who I knew and liked from S52 Spa), so I booked him ahead of time through Line. I can't really say how many guys would have been there when I was there at late afternoon/early evening. There were about 4-5 guys milling about but there is also a curtained off room where more could have been sitting. There usually seem to be about 9 guys available for booking through Line. I think the guys here tend to be a little older than twink and not fem, but not as old or muscle-bound as some of the other spots. It's a nice spacious place. Large mattress on the floor. Shower in the room. Bathroom in the hall. Showered alone before the massage and together after. I knew my guy from last year, so I knew what to expect. A near perfect real massage. I asked and he trained a school where they teach blind masseurs. And the Special Services were just awesome. Another 5 star spot. This is another place where I will certainly be going back to a lot. The massages start at 90 minutes oil massage for 450. Very very high on the overall value scale. I didn't see a stated minimum tip but I was so over-the-top happy I gave the normal Silom area high-end 1,500 for 90 minutes of complete bliss. Baantewa. (http://www.baantewa.com) I next went to Baantewa, which I fear is very much under appreciated. Their website now has clear maps and there's a sign with the logo out front, so it is now easy to find. (Was probably just me but first time a couple of years ago I couldn't find it.) A short walk from Chong Nonsi BTS or the Saladaeng area. It's a townhouse down a quiet side street. You select from a book of photos. I went on Friday evening about 7:30. There were I think about 10 guys in the book and only one was unavailable. I would say the guys are mid-to-late 20s. Very good looking fit swimmer's-build types. I made my selection, a nice rather petite guy who even spoke english passably. Shower and bathroom in the hall. Massage table with face cut out. I opted for one of the signature treatments, which is a 1 hour thai massage and a 1 hour aromatherapy oil massage. Shower alone before and after. The masseurs are all trained at Wat Pho, and the massage was excellent. The boy was clothed for the first part and wore a towel for the second. The oil massage morphed into a sensual massage that the guys at Dr. Bear could (and should) learn from. My guy did slip a condom on me for oral, which I 100% accept as his right. Couldn't have asked for a better happier experience. Those stupid tables are a little awkward and where the boy was sitting I couldn't get the gratuitous groping I usually like, but not a big deal. A nice cuddle after. My only real ding for Baantewa is the shower alone after - it's not about sex it's about getting the oil off! Best thing is that you know the guys are well trained and you will get a great massage (and they are good looking too). The 2 hour signature treatment is only 1,000 which makes it high on the value scale for me. I'll be going back but may try different guys over the next few visits. Regular oil massages start at 90 minutes 750 and minimum tip of 1,000. Banana Club. Finally (for this report) I went to the relocated Banana Club. As others have reported, it's very easy to find near the Asoke BTS and MRT stations and just a few doors away from Urban Male. The place is very nice. The owner said he spent 5 months working on it and it looks great. I went on a Saturday night at about 7:30 and there were about 20 masseurs available covering the whole spectrum - twink to mature, fem no fem, some dark some light, some strictly tops, some not. I think the owner is trying to make sure there will be someone for everyone's taste. The guys were all sitting along two walls in the upstairs room and you sit and make your selection sitting opposite. As has been noted, the owner is very welcoming and he really makes an effort to match you with the right masseur. I said I really wanted a good massage, so he steered me towards some of the more mature guys. Always good to try something different! Also I was kind of tired so wasn't really sure I was up for anything overly demanding (on me) so I got a guy who "gives really good head." (Which I can now confirm as true.) There is a little locker room area with showers and storage lockers and then private rooms with a slightly elevated bed not too huge. Same size as the beds at The Prince. The masseur was I would say mid to late 30s and gave a very good, professional strong massage. His tool was one of those huge cocks that are so big first you just want to applaud and then you wonder, "What am I supposed to do with that thing." Special Services were as promised - fully satisfying. Sometimes experience trumps twink cuteness. I booked a 90 minute massage and the owner said as without any prompting "I guarantee you get full 90 minutes." Again, as promised the full 90. Shower before and after with the masseur. Masseur naked throughout. The owner is truly wonderful and helpful and I really hope the place succeeds. Everyone there seemed energized to make it a top notch place. Particular if you take advantage of the owner's help in selecting your masseur, it really can't be criticized. (skill, comfort, selection, shower before and after, boy naked throughout, plenty of contact) I'll certainly be giving it regular business. Could also be the best spot for those new to the whole set up or nervous. 90 minute oil massage 1,000. Minimum tip for 90 minute 1,300. (Afterwards I indulged in a great foot massage. Also fantastic.) Another 5 star review. (So far this trip the only real dud was at Bonny)

I went to Eat Me last year. It's certainly very good and very romantic. I think there are comparable places in most big cities - for me not a real Thailand experience. Also I went with a friend from Laos and the menu is only in english and it is very, very expensive, which can be a bit uncomfortable. Still, good food and convenient to Silom. I've wanted to go to Table du Tee, for a while.

Arrived before the New Year for a four month visit based in BKK. (BTW- off topic I came in using the new 6 month multiple entry visa. What I had read said that I would still be subject to the initial limitation of 30 days, but the immigration officer stamped me with an initial two month stay.) The Prince. After quickly settling in, my first stop was the Prince. For a few years now it has been my favorite spot, The rooms are very nice, with private shower. There were about 20 +/- guys, good looking. I made my choice then asked the mamasan about him, and he said he was very good, straight top only. No good for me. I asked who was gay/bottom and the selection went down to three guys, any one of whom would be a fantasy come true. I picked a dark skinned guy with some nice tattoos. He turned out to be from Cambodia. Very good english which is always a plus. First shower alone while the boy gets ready. Shower after together. Boy naked throughout. Massage is on a mattress on the floor, which I prefer. The massage was very good for the "erotic massage" style, which is very soothing after traveling almost a full 24 hours, but can at times seem like he is just slowly smoothing out layers of subcutaneous fat. Special Services were great, very very enthusiastic and fun. We came up a bit shy on the allotted 90 minutes, which is something that has happened to me at the Prince before; so if that is important to you beware. For me it's not so important: I didn't think the massage or anything else was rushed, we cuddled for what seemed to me a good long time because the boy was justifiably exhausted. There was again a good selection of probably 10-12 guys, all very fit muscular types. A lot of guys here will compete in body building competitions, but they don't seem to be the really really big Tawan Bar type. I made my selection. Very nice friendly guy 27 years old. The shower was outside the massage room (some of the rooms there have their own shower). Pretty consistently I've found the massages here to be really very good true therapeutic massages. They use the tables with a cutout for your face, which unfortunately I don't particularly like, but not a big deal. Everything else great. Boy naked throughout. Full 90 minutes. Shower before and after together. Maybe not as glamorous as Prince, but maybe a bit more professional. 90 minute massage 900. Minimum tip 1000. (Note - they say the minimum tip is 1000 but don't specify the time period. For my own sense of fairness I usually read this to mean that if that's the tip for 60 minutes then 1,500 is appropriate "minimum-ish" tip for 1.5 hours, but I suppose if I was less than 100% satisfied I could pay less). So for my purposes, I treat Adonis as minimum tip 1,500 for 90 minutes. Arena. Next I went to Arena at their new digs. The downstairs room not as big as the old place, so when you go in and make your selection you are much closer to the guys. Good selection all types, perhaps 12-15 guys. (Arena may have a lot of guys, but maybe not all the model good looks of Prince. Still there's enough with bodies and looks to die for to make it a worthwhile visit.) My choice was easy because I immediately saw someone i knew from Fan Club. Shower in the room. Again the massage table with the face cut out. I made the mistake of saying I wanted a strong massage, and so spent the first fifteen minutes in near agony as my calves got ripped apart. (Yes I could have said something.) Boy naked throughout. Very good very experienced massage and very good very experienced very enthusiastic Special Services. Definitely got the full 90 minute workout. All in all I continue to recommend Arena. 90 minute massage 790. Minimum tip 700 per hour. Urban Male. A day or so later I went to Urban Male, another old standby. (I had intended to go to Banana Club, which is now very close by, but for some reason Banana Club doors were locked. Picked a cute petite twink from the lineup of 8-10 guys, ranging from twinks to guy next door types. Mine was nice guy from Myanmar. Shower in the room (first alone; after together). Massage table with face cutout. Massage was middle of the road or a bit better. When it got erotic very good+++. Didn't feel rushed. They used to have you fill out an evaluation of the masseur afterwards, which I frankly found a bit odd with him standing there, but at least this time they did not have me do that. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience at Urban Male but for some reason I think it might be hit or miss for many people. If you want more than a good HJ, then I think here it is important to say so. (I would have said the same for Arena, but maybe because I was with someone I knew already that was well understood.) 90 minute massage 1,500. Minimum tip 1,500. (Despite the positive experience, I think from a pure value perspective Urban Male doesn't really deserve the premium pricing.) Bonny. New Years Day after dinner at Maxi's I went to Bonny. My own personal experience with Bonny's is just plain inconsistent. My own fault, but I went with the guy who they offered me, who was not my really my type, but sometimes I just like to go with the flow. Massage is mat on a floor in "private" rooms where the walls often do not go up to the ceiling, but maybe you hear something next door, not a big deal. The massage was very good, Special Services, ok if a bit mechanical. First time this trip the masseur did not get hard. Shower together before and after. Showers are outside the room and there's just a partition so invariably end up showering with my guy and another customer is 2 feet away with his. Hooray for community. Because i have my doubts about Bonny I only chose a 1 hour massage, and even then came up short on time. I think for Bonny there can be a lot of inconsistency among the different masseurs, so here I really should make sure that I pick the boy AND if I care really make clear what I want. (Sometimes I care, sometimes I don't.) 1 hour massage 600. Minimum tip 600. Coming Up ... King Spa, Body Club and ???

I second Vinapu's suggestion in the other thread that walking the silom/surawong loop you can spot some. On the Silom side between Silom Complex and Soi Convent JJ-Massage always seems to have some twinkly/fem types handing out fliers but I have never been there. I think the exact location would be Silom Soi 1. There always are some at Bonny and Bangkok Massage on Soi Twilight. If you just walk up the stairs you'll be offered the next boy in line, which can be bit or miss, so you might want to either take a minute or two and pick the boy and gesture/tell him to go up with you or, if the guy you are offered doesn't suit your particular tastes, just say you want to see the others and be sure to say that you want someone who will [specify your desire]. If you're uncomfortable saying "I want a bottom" you can use a buzzword such as "someone gay." Often that's enough. If you will be disappointed if the boy doesn't bottom just be sure to confirm with him. These guys are pros. There is a spot further up on the left as you go down Soi Twilight towards Classic Boys that usually has some twinkly types parked at outside the beer/pool table bar. Urban Male has a few twinkly fem types. Definitely have to confirm all expectations in advance unless you like the uncertainty of what will happen next. If you are willing to go further afield, IMHO King Spa has some stunning guys who trend towards the twink, 'though I don't think really fem. Thaimassageboy.com can give you a clue as to the types at the participating shops. If you sign up for one of the Line chat groups you also get daily doses of eye candy. Not too long ago the answer could simply have been Fan Club. Alas, now closed. Good hunting!

I would say definitely Classic Boys, Fresh Boys and Screw Boys (in roughly descending order). Last year X-Size had a good selection of all types, but I haven't been there this year. Happy hunting.

I also used Airbnb to book a condo in BKK for a four month stay. I chose to stay in one place - Aree - for the whole time, but splitting up the time in different neighborhoods might have been fun too. When you inquire about your booking, you could specify that the condo should include a weekly maid (meebaan) service.
