I certainly had a nice time there. Just to add a few factoids. - There are stairs, if that matters. Not as treacherous as the stairs in some places. - The entrance through the restaurant is odd, in a fun way. - I think there are VIP rooms, but don't know. The regular room has massage table, walls don't quite go to the ceiling. Common shower down the hall. - I recall there's a minimum tip, but it doesn't include extras, so be prepared to have that discussion with your guy. - In general the guys there seem to be nice with a good attitude.

yes. what I try to do is provide information, good and bad, about places to help people make informed decisions and help them manage their expectations in deciding where to go. -

I think Prince is perfectly fine for the price and level of service and facilities they offer. It may cost more than some places, but the facilities are nicer than most (e.g., nicer than Arena). I assume no one goes there expecting a Wat Pho-trained masseur. Overall the guys are a certain type of good-looking guy, some are print-model gorgeous, not super-muscled (compared with Arena) and not particularly twinky. The comparison shop is VCK or to a lesser extent Prince's sister shop My Hero. VCK is actually more expensive and for Silom/Sathorn visitors obviously less convenient. Same as VCK - the guys may finish the experience a tad early and if there's time left on the clock and if you care you have tell them you don't want to stop. I wouldn't go there for a sports massage. It's just messy-carressy oil massage with a naked young man who looks like he could be in my special magazines (hehehe), followed by sex. I think the managers there will tell you who does what and I've never had a problem there. The stated minimum tip includes full service and I've never ever had anyone even hint at wanting more. One obvious point that's probably worth repeating is that most of the guys there are straight-top-only. When I go I tell the manager I want a gay bottom or gay does everything. This immediately narrows down the selection from about 40 to 4 guys. I've always been able to pick someone I like and the guys have all been skilled and DTF. I cannot make any comments on the performance of the other guys. And as has been said before, the actual sex part is intimate and personal so my experience will not be the same as anyone else. [I have no doubt that the straight guys are fine masseurs and fun in bed, I just have a formula for success that works for me and my preferences so I usually stick with that on auto-pilot. And I like to support the fellow gays. Obviously the sheer numbers show that the straight-top-only guys are great for business with lots and lots and lots of happy repeat customers.] Maybe there are some places in Brazil, I don't know, but I'm not aware of other places in the world where you can find 30-40 guys such handsome guys (60+ busy season) to have no complications foreplay (massage) and sex with, all for let's say around $US 100 (at current exchange rates). -

Hahahaha. Was it Malcolm Gladwell or someone like that who said 10,000 hours of practice? If so I am woefully short of the requirement to be an expert, but working on it. Or to the contrary, and more realistically, maybe it takes about 3 times to become an expert, so most forum members qualify. -

I am certainly not an expert on anything to do with police or immigration raids. We're all aware of the Immigration raids and press conferences that seem to have been a weekly (or more) phenomenon under Big Joke and now Big Oud. I only mentioned that it was Immigration Police & press conference because the whole episode doesn't seem like the typical tea-money kerfuffle. Also rather interesting because the rumor certainly was for years that Prince/My Hero had a high connection in the police. Also, a bit surprising that there was no advance warning. As we all know, the BKK go-go bars typically (but not always) get a heads up before raids. I agree the whole thing is a bit silly. But massage is on the list of professions reserved for Thais. Prince and VCK definitely have a well-deserved reputation for guys who try to rush the massage. Even so, unless it's something outrageous, I encourage people not to be clock-watchers. It's not like you're buying a dozen donuts and only got 10. Was it a good pleasurable experience? Then if it's 5± minutes short I usually don't mind. I know people do care about it so I make the observation if it happens when I'm reporting on a shop, but after a half-way decent massage and rambunctious sex, who cares about the time. (Also, to be fair, on more than one occasion things have run longer than the allotted time, and it's been my "fault.") -
Taking guy from Pattaya to Koh Chang for a few days... how much?

There's a whole thread about this in the so-called "Timeless" (ugh) category. Without reinventing the wheel, the usual answer is long-term rate plus of course all expenses. -

The raid was conducted by the Immigration Police, not the regular police. You can also see Big Oud himself in the photos of the press conference. You may take from that what you will. -

Yes. I read that they nabbed one guy from Myanmar, two from Cambodia, eight from Vietnam, three from Laos and one stateless man. I believe that it's still business as usual at Prince. A couple of guys who in the past worked at VCK appear to have moved to Prince since the raid. A report I read said the raid followed a tip-off. Would love to know the back-story. -
In the U.S. I believe the rule is you can't donate blood for year after getting a tattoo -- or one year after having manly man sex with another man.

My Hero Gay Massage in Bangkok - Review from Dec 16, 2018
DivineMadman replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
I for one would like to hear the answer to Vinapu's question, then we can make a decision on whether/how much to take that answer into account. Maybe the answer is because of the conditions of the facility? If someone doesn't want to read reports on massage shops, or trip reports about experiences with particular guys (which are also personal experiences), then don't read. -

Umm. Actually. Nothing makes me happier than to return the batton to the great shameless one.

Daniel Thaiger's truck is moving to Silom (Silom Soi 8). I think their regular schedule is Tuesday-Sunday 4:00 - 10:00?. One day a week they used to be at Sathorn Square, but they are no longer going to be at Sathorn Square at all. They are good at updating social media on when the truck is off doing special events and not where it should be. Worth checking if you intend to go. The brick-and-mortar shop in Thonglor remains. I recall that this came up and Michael explained it (at length) when he first [re-]took over the site, so those for whom it is an issue might search for that discussion. (Unfortunately I forget when.) That way Michael doesn't have to repeat it. The "anddy solution" works for me, but given that all sorts of people are using all sorts of different browsers/devices/security software/operating systems, it doesn't surprise me that it might not work for some people.

I disagree with this. I've found lots of guys who are great at giving head when I'm wearing a condom. The techniques might be a bit different, sometimes maybe a bit "rougher" and even a little with the teeth. Also, because I firmly believe that sex workers have every right to ask a customer to wear a condom, including for oral sex, I think it's important - and really quite easy - have the attitude "Sure, put a condom on me, it will still be fun and I'm so glad you're taking your health seriously." If people get all pouty face or start cutting tips because their guy asks them to wear a condom then it is unfair and sends the wrong signal.

I think it's been 2,000 for a while, but you might get some for less, particularly in off season.

I am pretty sure it is, as ggobkk has previously reported. Be advised there is construction going on next door (for a new space like The Commons over in Thonglor). Might make sense to ask for a room without construction noise/view, if that sort of thing bothers you.

What a great report, as always. In case some readers do not know, here is a picture of your mamasan/love interest Lucy. She's one of the mamasans that is pretty much guaranteed to kill my interest in anything other than running away as fast and as far as possible, but you are a far more kind and gentle soul than I. Up to you if you might think the 300 is her long-term off-rate.

Delightful!

The good news is that ggobkk knows the costs and advantages/disadvantages of Bangkok and Pattaya as well as anyone, and has graciously reported on his adventures at length in the past. Clearly there is a lot of fun to be had in Bangkok and I am always happy to read the reports of forum members who have a good time. Have a great trip, ggobkk! Sorry to be missing you this time, but with luck on your next visit.
