  1. Yes, the one nearby Asoke is still open.
  2. I think creating multiple handles is clearly a sign of a mental disorder, especially when you use one handle to "Like" or even post favorable/supportive comments in response to posts you have written before yourself, under a different name. Quite creepy.
  3. Quite the sock puppet fest above, I'm glad Scooby has put them down.
  4. With a little bit of luck, she won't even have to pull senators over the line, if the line is moving enough in the right (okay, left) direction at the same time. We'll see.
  5. There's hope, after all.
  6. I'll be very interested in your border crossing story! Great idea to post about it.
  7. Scottish, great way to describe that dreadful woman Theresa May. It was a great pleasure to see what the High Court did to her cornflakes.
  8. Great information, these villas look terrific for a relaxing stay.
  9. That's exactly what I think.
  10. Nice find! I think Episode 4 in particular is fun to watch; the bachelor is a farang model from Slovakia. They translate some of what is being said for him, and some of the boys even make an attempt to charm him in English. So those who don't speak Thai can still understand quite a bit. They also make fun of his Thai now and then, because his pronunciation is far from perfect (not criticizing him, just stating the obvious). Sometimes it IS quite funny for those of us who do understand it (and for the Thais in that studio, apparently), especially when what he says does have a meaning, just not what he actually intends to say. For example right at the beginning, when he's being introduced and wants to say "Thai people". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waKpJ9W2uBo Also fun, the moderator's comment regarding Roman's condom size (52 mm). I'm looking forward to retiring in Thailand, so I can understand your envy. Working in Bangkok isn't that bad either, at least you can have those naughty episodes more frequently and without enduring such a long flight. But I've got to say that self discipline was a major issue for me, especially in the first few years - something a visitor or a retiree doesn't have to worry about that much. I'm glad that you've resumed your reporting. Great reads as always!
  11. I have an Android phone. When I visit this site, I get the mobile version first. Then I click "Full Version" and get it, no problems whatsoever.
  12. I don't think the vibe in nightclubs is any different. Those who are out to party do that to enjoy or distract themselves. Those who feel mournful simply don't hang out.
  13. I like the simplicity of Gaybutton's board's design. It doesn't distract from the posts. That said, I can live with all of those mentioned, their design isn't a major concern.
  14. Who could ever forget him, or that movie?
  15. Reading his OP, my impression was that Muslims make his life miserable and he wants to move to Thailand to get away from them. As for work, I share the sentiment of what has been written already. Virtually no chance to find legal work with the OP's background, the only real option is probably freelance work of some kind. Best of luck!
  16. We could also promote condom use among heterosexuals. Less children means less starving children, I would hope.
  17. Call me old-fashioned, but using my cock to stimulate my boy works awesomely, too. And it means more pleasure for myself. But then again, seeing that link in your post, you are probably just trying to flog your sex toys here, aren't you?
  18. On Sukhumvit Road more so than on Silom Road, you actually still find pretty much the same variety of products being sold on the sidewalk. What I mean is this: Before the cleanup, there were Viagra/Cialis stalls back to back. Now the space they can occupy is much more limited, so they need to be more economical with it. Instead of seeing five Viagra and four porn stalls on a a stretch of sidewalk, now you only see one of each. That actually makes things easier, if anything.
  19. How sad. What are we going to do about it?
  20. That, of course, is true.
  21. Very nice report, GoldMember, and I think a great trip before embarking on your big adventure being a father. All the best, and keep us posted!
  22. You obviously haven't been to Bangkok recently, I mean since these changes started. Bangkok's "tessakit" officers who are enforcing these rules have several tents along Silom and Sukhumvit where they solicit people's opinions. As the signs they display to that effect are written in both Thai and English, one has to assume that they realize that a good part of their clientele in these areas are foreign visitors. I don't see anything wrong with a foreigner taking them up on their invitation to let them know their feelings about these changes.
  23. In Fossil's case, I'd say jealousy is the more likely reason than boredom for his silly little putdown. But really, numazu, why care about it? You've received a record number of views from unregistered site visitors. They cannot comment, but the simple fact that they've kept coming back for more of your story should tell you all you need to know. As for us registered users who have commented on your reports, the overwhelming majority of these responses have been very positive (and rightly so, in my opinion). Please give that some thought and don't let the few negative responses discourage you.
  24. I'm glad that you found the time to sign up to tell us. Do tell us more.
  25. I agree, this has been a great thread all the way through.
