  1. Don't hold your breath, he's probably busy rescuing one of his friends from the evils of this world as we speak.
  2. Threads with photos are definitely among the most popular on this particular forum, so keeping in mind what this forum is all about, enriching posts with photos doesn't look like a bad idea to me. With regards to your friends and your maternal-esque instinct to protect them, you and people like you have the option to ask for redress when the need arises, and that's obviously a good thing. I just wished you'd handle it more appropriately, in private.
  3. Some might even post twice in a row.
  4. Yeah I guess the downside is that we will see an increase of posts that are written with the sole purpose of increasing the author's post count.
  5. He has the biggest tits bra none!
  6. The real shocker is that some of them also smoke, drink large quantities of Lao Khao and ride their motorbike sans helmet... And yet Thailand's population is ageing rapidly.

    Poppers

On Lower Sukhumvit, it's not that uncommon to see poppers on sale (along with the usual Viagra and Xanax stuff). For whatever strange reason, I've never seen poppers sold in the street in the Silom area (unlike the other stuff). You'd think that gay visitors are among the most interested in buying it? I've also seen poppers on sale at some of the gay saunas and online. Difficult to tell what's fake and what's real.
  8. That would actually make a great name for a bar.
  9. Most gun violence is between criminal gangs, rivaling college student gangs and shootouts with the police. As a tourist - or in my case, as an expat - there's no reason to be too worried about that. In any case, it's far more likely that the roads will kill you. Or eating som tum. But the occasional stray bullet does hit and sometimes kill innocent bystanders. You have been warned.

    Femboys

Everywhere. The cutest but not necessarily the most approachable femboys can be found on the BTS and in shopping malls.
  11. Please PM me the pics, too. Thank you!
  12. This article, I'd guess: http://bk.asia-city.com/city-living/news/21-year-old-money-boy-bangkok
  13. Well, at least keep it growing until Christmas and be our Santa of Honor.
  14. Soi Cowboy or Patpong. But do read about common scams before, especially if you plan to enter certain Patpong show bars.
  15. I think they might actually be arriving at a sensible compromise, making the sidewalks of main roads more walkable while keeping the food stalls in place elsewhere.
  16. I'd love to hear that guy's story. Either he's just an asshole or there's more to it, impossible to tell.
  17. The same thought ChristianPFC has mentioned has crossed my mind as well. They might simply dismiss the offer as unrealistic and assume they are being stalked by some weirdo who won't pay up anyway.
  18. Definitely, a lot has changed since back then, and that's an important factor. A Thai friend of mine who came to Bangkok from Isaan in 2001 could easily find work, but wasn't paid very well. When his younger brother made the same move 10 years later, he had many more options - also because his older brother helped him get a college education. I've seen that time and again. They built their parents a new house back home, own cars and have a pretty good life - all without sex work or sugar daddies.
  19. "Man" usually means that they aren't feminine/"sissy". Now, what that means EXACTLY does vary from one "man" to the next. It often, but not always, implies that they don't bottom - some "manly" bottoms I've met do refer to themselves as "man" as well, however. "Gay" is often used as a synonym for "sissy", so from that point of view it might be understandable that you get puzzled looks if that doesn't describe you.
  20. Depends. If you intend to fly in with them, they definitely need passports. If crossing overland, however, there might be other options.
  21. Monogamy is overrated.
  22. I'll believe that once I can see it with my own eyes.
  23. Well for the sake of accuracy, Firecat, train tickets in Thailand are refundable, so making that comparison wasn't outright wrong. Same with movie tickets within reason (exchange, no refund, same day show only). Otherwise I agree with you, overbooking flights does make sense and you've explained the mechanics very well.
  24. Surfcrest isn't exactly computer-literate, to say it politely. Unless Moses did the grunt work (establishing that both posters are one and the same), I wouldn't have too much confidence in his findings.
  25. I'm looking forward to reading about your Chiang Mai experiences, being an exchange student there sure sounds fun! Happy Thai New Year and Happy Easter to you, too.
