Canadian Pacific Airlines was good for competition for Air Canada at that time. Their service was also better than Air Canada. In March 1989, Canadian Pacific bought out Wardair which used to provide excellent service at a reasonable price. "Wardair was not a discount airline but an airline providing good service at lower-than-average prices. They were known for high quality meals and friendly staff. "Steak & Champagne" flights was a popular advertising tag line in the 1980s, and won various awards from magazines for their service" (from Wikipedia). If I remember right, the debt CP Air took on lead to financial trouble for them. PWA took over Canadian Pacific and then Air Canada bought out PWA (as mentioned in the OP). WestJet is now the main competitor to Air Canada, but they don't fly to as many places. There are also some low cost airlines, 2 of which are subsidiaries of Air Canada & WestJet.

Finally a light at the end of a super long tunnel?
VancBCMan replied to 18past19's topic in Gay Thailand
You're right, rooms at Crowne Plaza Lumpini Park are not as big as at The Raya. When I last stayed there (at Crowne), I had no problems bringing a guest to my room -
Thanks for clarification Does sound absurd, as others have mentioned as well

Expats are included in Thailand’s vaccination plan
VancBCMan replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
Canada is one of the countries that delayed administering the 2nd dose. It was initially 16 weeks for the general population - when vaccine supplies were low. With an increased number of vaccines coming in, the interval has been reduced to 8 weeks. With just the 1st dose, number of cases and deaths dropped dramatically. About 75% of eligible people have their 1st dose and about 22% are fully vaccinated, and that number is going up fast. So, it looks like the decision by health officials to give the 1st jab to the majority, before starting with 2nd doses was the right one under the circumstances. -
@billyhouston, is this for a USA citizen living in Windsor, ON or a Canadian? Agree it doesn't make sense for USA citizen living in Canada Both the OAS (Old Age Security) and CPP (Canada Pension Plan) are indexed for Canadians living in Canada or outside (have to confirm the later, tho)

How Long Does It Take Mail To Get From The US To France?
VancBCMan replied to BiBottomBoy's topic in The Beer Bar
I lost my card when in Manila couple of years ago. They sent a replacement by DHL to my next destination, Pattaya. But screwed up and sent the card with same number as the lost one. They then sent another card to the next destination, again by DHL. I believe each took about 2-3 days. Was shipped from their "Global" centre. Not sure where that is located, tho -
Were you not asked to stay in another area for a few minutes after the shot? In some countries, you are asked to stay for about 15 mins in a different area, in case you develop any allergic reaction to the shot.

Singapore's PayNow linked to Thailand's PromptPay
VancBCMan replied to reader's topic in Gay Bangkok
I'm concerned too and won't use any banking apps on my mobile phone. Saved me from having my bank accounts emptied out when I was forced to give up my phone and password in an African country. A story that involves meeting up with someone from Grindr.. and the nightmare that followed. Trying to forget it all and chalk it up to a very bad experience. -

Should People Be Forced To Get The Vaccine?
VancBCMan replied to BiBottomBoy's topic in The Beer Bar
Unfortunately, many Trump followers believe this conspiracy theory. A survey finds a false conspiracy theory about Gates using vaccines to implant people with tracking microchips is popular among Fox News viewers, Republicans and Trump voters https://www.cnet.com/news/bill-gates-calls-wrongful-covid-19-vaccine-conspiracy-theories-stupid-but-many-people-believe-them/ -
I also eat mostly Thai food when in Thailand. I sometimes cook some Thai food at home - mostly chicken in coconut milk. Only problem is you can't find good fresh Thai basil here.

Unfortunately, the episodes on YouTube were cut (unless I couldn't find the full versions). They ran about 10 mins Full episodes (about 40 mins) were streamed on GMovies. $12 for the full set of 8 episodes. The last one just ended on April 9th. GMovies is a somewhat restrictive service - you have to watch all the episodes by April 30 and once you start watching an episode, you have 48 hours to watch/ re-watch it. After that, you have to pay an extra $2, if you wish to watch the episode again. The ending of "B x J Forever" was not what I thought it would be. Sigh

Sounds like the wait is over for you. Those born in 1950 (and earlier) can now book their appointments on line Good luck!

One of my best BL series as well. Different setting from 90% of the other series with a school/ college setting. I have not watched 'Manner of Death'. I'm not a murder mystery fan. Now watching some of the other series suggested by others. Thanks for keeping us abreast of what's now playing or coming soon!

It was my understanding that to prevent him from running for office again, it would still have to go to the Senate. A simple majority is sufficient for that, while it needs 2/3 majority to remove him from office. Dems will have majority soon, so they will have the power to prevent him from running again https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/impeachment-process-works/story?id=51202880

I understand that the 1st photo was used in the hard cover edition of the magazine and the 2nd one chosen for the on-line article. To me, the 2nd one is more fitting for her role that she will take on starting Jan 20. And as you mention, the colour of the suit in 2nd photo is perfect for her
