Not just the Malaysian government, but the Penang state government under the stewardship of a Chinese christian is also not getting much of a good press lately due to corruption and abuse of power. Sadly the Chinese in Malaysia like to think that they are above corruption & abuse of power.

A bouquet for you, ct2005 :-)

During the day the moon is hardly attractive to the eye. Try revealing your moons at sunrise or sunset :-)

Well said, alizizou :-)

indeed corruption is getting worse. just now the chief minister of Penang, a Chinese christian has been charged in court for corruption and abuse of power. The Chinese wherever they are will pretend they're above corruption & other abuses of position. How pretentious!

I strongly advise you to pick the watermelon without pips, unless of course you want that gritty sensation with seeds dislodging somewhere private. :-)

Perhaps we should move him elsewhere. :-)

There's a much easier way. When you're at the bar get the boy to sit with you with a promise of tipping him. Ask him for his Hornet & other apps. A win-win situation for everyone.

Three cheers for your concise and precise comments above jfarmer017.

No sandwich? Or perhaps you tasted the spit roast instead? -
The boys are savvy enough to market themselves using smartphone apps without the need to pose in bars before their potential clients. Although not all of them have smartphones, the enterprising ones should be able to make arrangements through their friends.

Morsi is getting the blame in Egypt, and now he's responsible for India. I think Modi is having a chuckle :-)

A true Muslim or Jew doesn't kill another person/life either. So what's so special about being a Buddhist?

Since time immemorial human migration & territorial boundaries have been in constant flux. Human beings are similar in many ways & yet have distinctive traits. Some are well endowed but not always strong. Some are so skinny yet strong. Southeast Asia has a varied population groups with the benefits of genetic contributions from the Indian continent and the Mongoloid Chinese territories, as well as stray immigrants from further afield. But of late some of the very handsome and pleasant looking guys have had their share of cosmetic surgical enhancements.

Healthy looking guy.

Fresh chicken at the market cost about 150 baht/kg. A good source of protein :-)

Even to the uninitiated Asians don't look similar. The term 'khik' is applicable to about 30% of Asians with slitty eyes. The remainders don't have Chinese ancestry.

Jakarta, a huge Muslim city in Indonesia has a non-Muslim mayor of Chinese heritage( he's either a Christian or Buddhist or Taoist ). No issues whatsoever although Indonesia has more than 80% Muslims in the country. The country was colonized by the Dutch who caused untold miseries to the local populations. The colonial powers have exploited free societies around the world for hundreds of years. Now is payback time for them to open their doors widely to refugees. -
I have recently exchanged 10 spanks on a delightful man's exposed derriere for 100 baht at Vassa bar in Boystown. Certainly a fair exchange rate!

I'm an Asian, and some Thais have mistaken me for being one of them. But on numerous occasions I've been referred to as "falang". L'etranger is French for an outsider. I think some Thais use falang on me to aptly consider me as an outsider/tourist.

I had a pleasant stay at Mercure, no issues with visitors. But the swimming pool is unheated and the water quite chilly in the winter months.

Many, many months ago I (an Asian, then aged 29) had a little "affair" with a Catalan(Spaniard) lad whom I met at a hostel in Paris. He had just turned 18. I thought I was too old for him, but to my surprise our little affair lasted for quite a while. -
