  1. Hi Gerefan I would fully agree with the views of Londoner, a lot more space and defiantly fully flat beds, compatible with any other good business class, excellent fine end Restaurant food and wine in their Royal Laurel (Business Class) if you haven't already done so get on to EVA's rewards program (infinity miles) as whilst I am unsure how many flights are needed in economy once you achieve their Silver status which is pretty quick in Elite, useful benefits such as lounge access and eventually upgrade rewards mount as Gerefan mentioned to access to the premium cabins!
  2. I continued my holiday as always on to Bangkok, booking in to the Raya for 6 nights, for me the hotel is great, location perfect, I like their larger "Grand Deluxe" room and the prices are good value, in addition no issue in taking a friend back! I think my rate included breakfast but understand fairly basic and I never got up in time tom try it so several morning enjoyed something at the nearby Coffee Club just a one minute walk as you exit to the right from the Raya, lovely staff and great toasted Cheese and Ham sandwich, full English or American breakfast or Eggs Benedict! With money exchange I noticed that Super Rich, think it is their main branch on Silom road next to Arena massage always offered a slightly better rate than their other branches, worth a visit if changing a fair amount and in the area, their rates clearly appeared the best on offer generally certainly for our sadly diminishing UK pound!. On my first evening I visited several bars, starting at Hotmale on the terrace, which was fine and where I almost always begin, but did appear Soi Twilight was quieter than normal, continued to Screw Boys which had a great selection, I think mainly Vietnamese boys, many pretty ripped and clearly worked out - so I had a few off's from their! The new Jupiter had a large selection off well built guys, all good looking, if your looking for a boy from their visit at about 9pm when they open is best as they all parade through the stage and that is the best time to grab your preference before someone else does. Tawan had about 20 to 30 plus guys, some just big but a lot with muscle so a fair mix and whilst that bar gets a bit of criticism I always find it one of the most friendly and helpful - so a clear favorite of mine! I also over subsequent nights visited the old Jupiter, they charge THB 400 admission and first drink (V new Jupiter 300!) I went in about 10pm and think no more than 5 boys, nothing amazing for me and certainly not up to the old Jupiter standard. Hotmale had a decent selection probably the best for me in Soi Twilight, Dream Boys OK but not amazing and the others a fair mix. I enjoyed several "massages" this trip on my first full day at V Club 7 which I love and an easy trip via the sky train, I had pre arranged to meet a guy I met in October and very much enjoyed, they have changed the entrance/lobby area a bit, whilst not the cheapest and a bit out of the way to travel a really good selection of fit boys and one of my favorites! Subsequently met the same boy at my hotel a few days later which was a lot of fun! in addition visited Arena which was OK, fair selection of about 10 mid afternoon but mainly older, bigger but not that muscular or ripped - more just big, was OK but a bit disappointing, Senso had about 8 guys, fair selection and OK and Prince another favorite of mine about 15 mid afternoon, many really well built and ticked my box! Whilst I love Thai food when there, and in Bangkok often find the small restaurant opposite Soi Twilight "Thai Garden" or something similar excellent for simple but good Thai cuisne and very friendly a change is often good, so enjoyed several meals at Gs on Soi 4 a fantastic German restaurant, amazing service, very friendly team and owner and great German but according to my Thai friends also Thai food - well worth trying! Eventually I headed back to the UK on the Eva flight which was fine but whilst in their OK Elite (premium Economy) and I get access to their lounge via my silver loyalty card cabin, how I missed that Royal Laurel (Business class) comfort, food and service - need to start saving for that soon!
  3. Hi.....I have learnt so much from this forum, thought only right to post my thoughts following my recent visit! I am from the UK and as per my more recent holidays flew out with EVA, normally use their Elite (Premium Economy) service but this time with my accrued miles upgraded in to Royal Laurel (their business class) they are a great airline and whilst Elite is comfortable I think I need to save up as fancy Royal Laurel again for my next trip! I stayed as normal as in all my most recent holidays at Baan Souy - whilst I accept it is not in the middle of Boys town or Jomtian I find it a brilliant location, the walk to the beach via Pattaya Park is a pleasant stroll and the nearby motorbike taxi guys are always on hand, I just give them a wave as I leave Baan Souy and they are with you for an evening run into wherever! I am in the hotel trade and mega critical with anywhere I stay but extremely hard to fault Baan Souy, the rooms are an excellent standard, the service impeccable, completely "gay welcoming" with an excellent and friendly team and to relax by their fabulous pool in a tropical oasis is simply a joy! So far as the bars are concerned, Toy Boys had a decent selection of up to about 20 guys, A-Bomb some that appealed to me but as always very slow turnaround, Dream Boys had a fair selection, maybe 20 or so but I am into the more muscular so nothing that really appealed to me and X Boys was pretty limited but I guess about 15 guys and some that might appeal to others! Disappointing to see that the new 360 boys had closed, however as normal Boyz Boyz boyz was certainly the best for me with a great selection of more muscular guys and many I know from previous visits. Was a bit irritating that whilst drinks on the terrace are about 160 THB for a customer, it is circa 400 if a boy joins you, reduces to customer price once you have offed them, but i got caught out one evening with a hefty bill! Took a few guys from BBB to Holywood which was as amazing as ever and if you fancy a late night and can handle some whisky a must! I love food and found this holiday that Seazone - just at the start of walking street was decent as always, I love Fra Pattaya the fairly cheap Thai place on South Pattaya Road - their Roast Duck not to mention simple but friendly service amazing, also had once again enjoyed a fantastic steak at Linda's restaurant in Jomtian just across from the main gay area on Thappraya road - well worth a visit! I was however very disappointed with one meal at Dicks Cafe in Jomtian I always quite liked their Bangkok branch but wont be visiting their Jomtian place in the future. Just as a thought for a drink with a difference, not widely publicised and not overly gay but no issue taking a friend, why not head down to the Hilton and their roof top bar, amazing views and given that cocktails and beers at a very fair price! Whilst Boyz town was undergoing some pavement refurbishment, I was conscious that as much as I love the Soi with the apparent closure of Cafe Royal now in darkness it seemed to be going down hill a little, sadly in the same way as Sunee years ago, in contrast whilst no actual gogo bars Jomtian appeared brilliant fun, lively and welcoming each night I visited and much busier and more "happening" I hope once the road repairs are complete boys town will liven up again but worried the area is unfortunately deteriorating a little! After a great week in Pattaya I headed up to Bangkok and will update on here if anyone actualy interested?
  4. You will find a decent selection in Boyz boyz boyz, they also have "sexy man show" I think alternative nights at about 10.30 ususaly with an oiled flexing session!
  5. I was in Pattaya a couple of years ago coinciding with the above event then, several boys that worked in BBB were competing and as I know then just had to support, however the negative side is whilst those guys were in amazing condition for the show they were so starved of a little bit of body fat, that were just knackered all the time outwith the show! Was still good fun, I am back next week so hopefully might meet a few pre the really intensive show prep!
  6. Thanks but already confirmed hotels so even if Boystown a bit of a mess hopefully all open so will enjoy from next Friday for a week and then Bangkok (hopefully BT looks a bit better at night when you can ignore the rubble?)
  7. Thanks guys, guess looks a bit of a mess! Are the bars still open and doing there best so can you still walk down "all be it carefully" at night and enjoy a drink outside and visit the bars?
  8. Hi mate Looks a little bit sad and bleak (But then Boystown never looked much on a morning!) I am returning from the UK again in just over a weeks time do you think Boystown is back to near normal on an evening or should I reduce my time in Pattaya and increase in Bangkok?
  9. I am back in Pattaya in a couple of weeks time, just wondered if anyone knows if the Boys Town Soi is all open on an evening as normal, can you still enjoy a few on the terraces and are all the bars open as normal?
  10. Or as a late thought if your thinking of heading down to Pattaya - the bar on the roof of the Hilton about 35 floors up is really good fun, informal and amazing views!
  11. Baiyoke tower www.baiyokehotel.com isnt on this list and whilst not the most exciting of bars, but OK the actual bar is inside but you can access to revolving roof top just above and currently the highest that is open in Thailand not too far to walk from Silom if you get sky train first to Siam square. The new Mahanakhon tower that is Thailand's tallest building http://www.mahanakhon.com/observatory.php advertises its observation deck and bar as opening this year but no date as yet.
  12. Whilst I have never stayed at Agate suggest you might also want to consider Baan Souy - accept the location not central Jomtian but for me advantage between there, the beach and Boys Town, extremely comfortable, a lot of the team are gay and a real nice friendly club type resort atmosphere - well worth a try?
  13. Depending on where you want to stay, whilst not huge the gym at Baan Souy hotel in Pattaya is a lot more than the typical small hotel gym with a good range of various quality equipment and free weights, normally very quiet and completely included in your stay., I personally like Thai guys with a decent physique who enjoy working out and their eyes normal light up in delight when they see the facilities there for the first time!
  14. Hi Guys In the past I have often quickly walked past and politely ignored the touts at various tailors near Boys town Pattaya or on the Surrawong Road in Bangkok. However I do need to wear reasonable suites in my job in the UK (normally from M&S - sad I know!) and wondered if any of you had any experience of buying a made to measure suit in Thailand, how long it honestly takes as my worry is it not being quite ready and rushing or being posted to me and any recommendations? I am back in March staying at Baan Souy for 8 days so any good tailors in the Boys Town or Jomtian area would be good, then in Bangkok at the Raya for 6 days so again near there on Surrawong or Silom Road an option? I noticed in the post from ggobkk that he rated Excelsior Tailors which would be ideal as very near the Raya but would welcome any other opinion and advise?
  15. I have met Mekhin many times in the past, "offed him" enjoyed a nice meal and good conversation, then had lots of fun, he is a relay nice guy, caring and great personality. Clearly Mekhin a normally great guy screwed up badly here, what is reported ref his behaviour is obviously very wrong, completely unacceptable and I am sure Mekhin will very much regret it, but don't most people of his age mess up occasionally, I certainly have and it seems sad that his moment of shame is broadcaster all over social media! Please give Mekhin a fair break, he will regret this, show him support and let him move on!
  16. Why not try Baan Souy, midway between Boys Town and Jomtien, easy to get motor bike taxi or baht bus from either at night, boys all love the place as welcoming for them and great pool (and gym if your type of boy is in to that!) mega friendly and just a great hotel/small resort? I am sure Holiday Inn is fine but a hell of a long way out of the areas you probably want to be in and the issues of straight groups of guys, families and potential issues which you certainly wont get at Baan Souy? Worth consideration?
  17. I have never stayed in the Jomtian area as enjoy some of the bars, beach and restaurants in that area but also very much the fun of Boys town! So for lots of recent trips I have stayed at Baan Souy which is just between the two areas, cant relay fault anything with the place, it is simply a lovely relaxing home away from home, so suggest well worth considering?
  18. A lot of on line reports suggested such as below that the road tunnel in Pattaya should finally have fully opened yesterday, just wondered if it did any one knows if still open? Hoping to save a bit of time on my trip in to Pattaya in October!
  19. If you already have a decent Thai friend ask him to select a few boys that you also like, or pick some your self but agree with him and take them on a private speedboat to Kho Larne, I always find Monkey beach the best as dosen't get the big tourist boats, the monkeys from early afternoon that head down to the beach are always are fun and you will have a great day relaxing with good company - done it a few times to celebrate my increasing years!
  20. Personally as suggested earlier on this thread by Vinapoo and others I would suggest it is very much up to us as the client how much we pay in terms of the tip (unless we agree X THB in advance) Yes the bar can dictate the bar fine and drink price which we should probably accept as difficult to argue other than not returning, but so far as the tip is concerned, of course the boys are going to suggest often astronomical amounts if you ask them! Why shouldn't they, certainly wouldn't be any different in my own UK, they see us as wealthy walking ATM machines, they are clearly extremely streetwise, talk with their friends, get a competitive "how much I can make" angle so why shouldn't they try to see how much they can get from us, and probably boast to their friends what they then claimed to have made, that is going to happen and nothing we can do about it! Why not just nicely and polity "rise above it a little" I have a very good "friend" from Toy boys, who nicely ranted away about his expected 5 to 6K THB tip, I suggested .... "wonderful if you can make that, well done and good luck but beyond me - so what do you want to do - shall we say goodbye or.....? " needless to say we spent a lot of time together and had a great time on a more realistic payment! However they would be stupid and naive (which most Thai Boys defiantly aren't ) if they didn't try it on a little! I just think we as the client need to exercise a little common sense and accept that we are dealing with normally very decent but certainly bright and streetwise boys who understandably want to get what they can from us financially!
  21. Anyone know if this also applies to their prices on the terrace outside the club? I have often enjoyed a few drinks with the boy of my choice but also a few of his friends on the terrace at BBB, effectively often developing in to a bit of an unplanned party, I have always been charged the same drink price for terrace drinks for other boys as the advertised customer drink price - but unsure if that has now changed?
  22. For Thai food in Pattaya my favorites are Fra Pattaya on second road so just out of boys town, turn right and right again is a basic simple place and nothing special but the food especially the duck is always excellent, service friendly and very good value. Further away but only ten minutes on a motorbike taki is Khao Tom Prajnban 513/9 Central Road its a huge place mainly in a garden with an extensive Thai menu, often very busy with Thais, the food is good, many dishes you dont find in the more seafront tourist areas and extremely good value - would certainly recommend it!
  23. Hi Mate I haven't stayed at this place but once at Aquarius in the Paradise complex which was OK and I have stayed a couple of times at Club one seven http://cluboneseven.net/home.html which whilst a shortish walk or taxi ride from the Paradise area is in my view a relay good option. Check out their poolside deluxe rooms, which are pretty comfortable overlooking the small pool and gym, the most striking feature of this place is the friendliness of the manager and staff which for me made it a wonderful destination when I last visited with a friend from Pattaya.
  24. Hi Guys Thanks for all the mixed replies following my initial post of this question a couple of weeks ago. Like I guess so many of us my main purpose for traveling from the UK to Thailand a couple of times a year is to have some fun with the boys and I have made many regular acquaintances in both Bangkok and Pattaya. In addition on every trip I catch up with some and meet a few few more new boys - all that works well for me! On my last holiday I traveled with a friend from the UK but that isn't doable on a more regular basis so just thought having got into a few conversations on this site would be nice to perhaps catch up informally with any other member who perhaps has similar interests for a casual beer and perhaps visit a bar or two. If anyone is interested I am more than happy to buy the first beer, I am in Pattaya again 25th March (though first night not ideal! ) for 8 nights then Bangkok for 5 nights - please just perhaps private message me? Thanks C
  25. Hi Guys Thanks and really appreciate all your feedback........ for me hotel breakfasts are not such an issue, I semi live in hotels in the UK so much prefer whilst on a holiday to get up late and have a leisurely breakfast/lunch wherever rather than the inclusive hotel breakfast option. I have booked to stay at Raya for a few days in March, in one of their "Grand Deluxe" rooms, which look a lon nicer than their entry level so will share my feedback then
