JD100 and I have already met several times. JD wrote in this forum back in December/January that he was moving from Argentina to Pattaya and solicited to meet other expats. I responded to that request. I have introduced JD to the bar that I hang out the most in at the Jomtien Supertown Complex and he seems to like it. I also took JD to see the M2M show and we had a great time. I also asked JD to accompany me at the Pattaya Community Pride event that took place on 8 June 2024. Unfortunately, in this area of making friends with the local expat community - I was not successful and I actually gave up last year. I now have more than enough Thai friends to keep me busy and I am happy with that outcome. My experience with the local expat community is that they are very reserved and guarded and ironically I see that I have become that way as well with other expats - except for JD ๐ I cannot explain this phenomena. I note that in the heterosexual community that Pattaya is very good at getting that community organized with ""welcome to Pattaya" events that are held weekly so that the new heterosexuals can meet each other and integrate into the larger Pattaya heterosexual community. I see that in the Pattaya gay world that this is non-existent. I do not know if it has always been this way and I do not know why it is like this? Anyone know ?

SiriusBE - I was asked if you can reveal the source of this rumor ?

One of my close volleyball friends works at Sansuk and I asked him today if the Sansuk has a new owner and he said that the staff were not aware of such news. I asked him to ask Punya to comment on this gossip. Also, note that the sauna part of the complex is very busy and the hotel side of the business is experiencing normal levels of occupancy expected for low season.

Hi Macaroni21. I would say yes because what is written in LINE for this massage group is that "fun" can be had - and it is at the discretion of the masseur. I searched for TCS and then used the wonderful AI auto-translate feature and in the 3 reviews that it found for TCS - "fun" was had. In the 3 reviews they speak about S = which I believe is the reference for sex fun and SS = super soft. I may have these backwards. LINE has a strict censorship policy so these forums use "coded messaging" that most of the forum members understand. Specifically they referenced TCS masseurs, Q, Non, and Earth. I would love to post the reviews that they write as .pdf documents stored in the Notes section of LINE - but we are prohibited - with the threat of being expulsed from the Massage Insider group if we do it. I hope that this helps you. Vinapu is currently posting his BKK trip report and perhaps MSense may be in that report ?

It was good for me to learn the layout of that area of Bangkok - and thanks to us constantly moving from one hotel to another - I definitely obtained a feel for that area - especially when we finished at the Raya - as that was so easily located "almost" adjacent to Moonlight and the UNESCO Food Land. Excellent location. I should of went with you as I missed that opportunity to see the Banana club - but I was cooked and I needed to sleep for what was to cum on the following days :>) Vinapu, I understand you COMPLETELY - as it was hard for me to decide "yes" or "no" to bring that HOT Cambodian Khim guy to Pattaya - as his price was in the same range as your guy from Jey Spa. Khim put it to me this way --> I get 2 to 3 customers per day here in the ghetto of Sala Deng - so, if I go to Pattaya - I need to be compensated for what I give up in BKK. That was very fair and in the end I agreed to bring him to Pattaya for 3 glorious full days - because I could see and appreciate his body both in the bedroom of my condo and ALSO on the lovely white sands blue turquoise waters of Koh Larn - and seeing his great muscle body on the beach was so much better than when I saw him naked in my Raya shower back in Bangkok. Nature seems to bring out the Tarzan beauty of these studs.
-
I recently stayed at the Raya with Vinapu and all was normal. My room at the back of the hallway on floor 6 overlooked the transformation of our beloved soi Twilight into hotel/shopping ? and none of the construction noise bothered me or made my stay there unpleasant. I LOVED the Raya - especially when I brought 2 guys back to my room on 2 different occasions when they put on a sexy show in the "in the middle of the suite" all glass shower - truly a turn on for what was to cum - oops come....

so true - here in Pattaya we don't have anything similar. When you go to a massage shop here in Pattaya it is like going to the fish market - all the available guys are sitting outside the shop in the shade sweating in the unbearable hot heat and the minute you approach they all start yelling at you and even pulling at you to chose them. I find the process awkward and intimidating. In Pattaya, there is no booking system nor Line listing of available guys with their stats. In Bangkok - you can join the Line of the shop that you are interested in and receive an advance listing with photos and sometimes other pertinent information (age, weight, sexual preference, etc.). Then you can communicate via Line with the manager about which guys that you are interested in and then arrange a booking. You arrive at the shop an there is NO group of guys sitting outside waiting to pounce on you to choose them like in a fish market. Instead, you take off your shoes, enter the shop, someone runs over to you to give you a cold towel to cool off your face / neck. You sit down in a beautiful calm airconditioned environment with nice music playing. A manager comes and brings you water or tea. Then perhaps the guy that you booked brings to you a selection of massage oils that you can sniff and choose which one you prefer for your massage. If only Pattaya had a civilized massage experience like Bangkok has ......

Title was not misleading for me - as it was truly a Boot Camp experience for me. The "training" and information sharing that you gave me in BKK is invaluable. Thanks again Vinapu - I look forward to the next segments of your/our trip - as I love reliving it.
-
yes, I remember that moment very well. It was just a fantasy and I would never execute on it, as I also agree that it would be rude. My fantasy was that we were all sitting together at the same table having breakfast with our prior night catches and then agreeing to cross share contact information for future encounters - of course with the blessing and positive ok of each individual farang and his associated guy.
-
Does this include having breakfast at UNESCO Heritage (Patpong) ? I was fascinated by the idea that you go there for breakfast with your fresh catch from the night before and then you see all of the other farangs doing the same - and then you can have an opportunity to "off" one of the other guys - thus bypassing the minimum drink requirement, off fee to the bar, etc. But does an off fee need to be paid to the farang for taking his guy (of course after their business is concluded) ? hahahahaha

Expats seek income tax clarification from the prime minister

Thanks Moses for your very thorough explanation and guidance. There was talk about (rumor) where they would count the number of actual days spent in Thailand as displayed in your passport (for citizens of multiple countries [with multiple passports] - the one that has your Thailand visa) to determine the 183 days threshold and maybe tying that to your visa renewal with immigration - where if you exceeded the 183 days immigration may ask to see your Thai tax ID number and related Thai tax filings (if required). In tax year 2023, I was outside of Thailand for 7 months for work reasons but I maintained a 12 month "residence" in Thailand - and I declared this as my bona-fide residence for purposes of determining my primary residence - as I had 2 residences in 2023 - but the other residence back in Europe was not "permanent" in nature as it was connected to my temporary work contract. So, if in tax year 2025, I were to live in 3 different countries - but maintained a 12 month "residence" in one of these 3 countries (demonstrated by a 12 month rental agreement), wouldn't that country be my primary bona-fide residence - as it would also be linked to my 12 month visa in said country (with a right to stay as displayed on the visa) ? -
Expats seek income tax clarification from the prime minister

I attended the 12 June 2024 PCEC (Pattaya City Expat Club) meeting PCEC where a presentation was given about the Thai government's new proposal to tax our global income if we are deemed to be tax residents (living in Thailand for more than 180 days - but the expert quoted 183 days - which I found strange). Below is the Youtube link to the 53 minute presentation that was given by Thomas Carden and related Q&A. He basically gave 3 possible alternatives: Make sure that you do not become a tax resident - live in Thailand less than 180 days. At the timestamp = 27.32 in the above Youtube video, I asked the hypothetical question about living in 3 countries for 4 months each (Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia - or any other country that you desire) - and which country for your @home tax filing would be your primary out of home country primary residence? Move your out of Thailand assets to a special trust in Hong Kong - where they would not be taxable when the funds would be sent into Thailand. I found this part of the meeting difficult to follow - especially for us retirees who already reside in Thailand and are already receiving active pension payments from countries outside of Thailand - as to how these assets would be moved to Hong Kong and even if I would want to even contemplate this idea. I remained skeptical. Remain in Thailand as tax resident and request a Thailand tax ID and make the required tax filing. Obviously, you would need to find a tax accountant who would be specialized in tax treaties to avoid double taxation who would understand your specific financial situation as well as your back @home tax filing (if required). I can tell you that the mood in the packed meeting was not pleasant and many people were quite surprised what we were hearing the speaker say. Below are links to 3 related articles written by the local Pattaya journalist, Barry Kenyon, who writes for the Pattaya Mail. Barry is also a frequent speaker at the PCEC meetings and was in attendance at this 12 June 2024 meeting. https://www.pattayamail.com/news/forensic-handwriting-analysis-and-thailand-proposal-to-tax-global-income-were-the-two-topics-at-the-pattaya-city-expats-club-463293 https://www.pattayamail.com/latestnews/news/dont-panic-experienced-tax-adviser-tells-expat-club-in-pattaya-463018 https://www.pattayamail.com/latestnews/news/foreigners-are-frantic-about-thai-income-tax-blurs-463107 I complained to one of my local astute Thai friends about all of this and he replied to me, "it is your European OECD that is pushing Thailand to tax global income...." Also, what was illuminating is that one of the recent Thai election campaign promises was to give Thai citizens a digital wallet with 10.000 baht in it. Well now the Thai government is looking for ways to fund this HUGE campaign promise and us tax resident farangs are an easy target as we don't have a voice nor any rights to protest about it - except with our feet - because, if this global taxation is realized, some of us will choose to only live in Thailand part time or not live in Thailand at all. So, what will that cost the government? Thoughts / comments ? Would this influence your decision to retire in Thailand ? -
Hi Oz. What gives? I am a member of Massage Insider and 3 additional massage groups on Line and X. I only paid 300 baht to each group administrator to become a member in year 2023.

Wow Marc, You truly are a wealth of historical information and a breath of fresh air. I love this kind of gay historical details from the past, as it truly helps to understand what we see, feel, and experience (or are not able to experience) in today's gay Pattaya world. It is rich in details where the history is quickly evaporating due to the passing of our fellow founders of gay Pattaya from the past. These legacies are still vivid as we can sometimes see them in the remaining building facades - which are often covered up by what is new today. I truly believe that if we can understand our past we can see where we are going. It would be great if there was a small museum that retained all of this information of Pattaya's gay past - as well as even Bangkok's - especially with the loss of soi Twilight - which for me was just as magical as was the Pattaya Boyztown main walkway where the 9pm BBB parade was. It was those memories that pushed me to retire in Thailand. The famous youtuber, Bangkok Pat, sometimes alludes to the former gay past of Bangkok. Is there a Bangkok Pat equivalent for Pattaya ?
-
Wow Marc - I could not have said it better. Yes, the joy of going to Boyztown was the UNEXPECTED - not knowing what pleasant and tantalizing surprise was coming your way --> and this was the MAGIC of the place to make you want to come back for more and more and more.... To add to what you wrote above - also the noise level has become ear threatening. I can only enter BBB now with ear plugs and I hate wearing them as you get a distorted perception and unpleasant reality. The last time that I entered into BBB without ear plugs I had constant ringing in my ears for days and in my left ear I temporarily lost 50% of my ability to hear from it - it eventually was back to normal after one week. That is too high a price to pay for mediocre entertainment. Marc - these are your BEST words yet. I try in vain to say the same words to my Thai friends in the Jomtien Supertown Complex but they always reply to me: you too farang - you do not understand the Thai ways, the old people that come to Supertown do not use technology, in Thai society it is not correct to go against what everybody else is doing - when I bitch about the stale mantra of 'farang sit and farang drink" And Marc, I would add to your list a place for us old-farts to dance to our generational music - but at early hours like from 8pm until midnight - that would be a Godsend - as it would get us up on our feet and out of those boring chairs and get us to have some physical action - which can only be good for our health - a win win for everybody - we can live longer, get healthy, and have fun, and the Thais can get more satangs from us before we pass on to the next life.....

Lively seminar about menโs sexual health

Thanks everybody for your feedback and opinions. Regarding PDE5 inhibitors, I have been on these for many years already and they are starting to have diminishing returns. I also hate the side effects; diarrhea, bloated bowels, and sometimes head pain. I also hate that it makes sex less spontaneous. Also, when mixed with alcohol the side effects are worse. I decided on the TRT treatment because of the success that the local Youtube star, Buzzin Pattaya, has had with it and consequently I have been in contact with other TRT beneficiaries and although it does not work for everyone - I want to give it a fair shot - like for 3 to 4 months. This week I passed my 1 month mark and the new blood results just came back and my testosterone level prior to starting these TRT treatments was a poor 285, which is under the minimum for proper sexual and libido activity. As of my post 1 month blood results, the testosterone has jumped up to 525, however it is still well below the optimal target of 1,000 - where the range should be from 900 to 1200 for optimal sexual arousal, libido, and performance. Many of you wrote that going to the gym is very helpful and my TRT doctor said the same and I immediately enrolled in a local Jomtien gym with a personal trainer to get me going after 10 long years of non-gym activity. Olddaddy - in the TRT program that I am in - they give you an estrogen blocker with each testosterone injection to avoid enlarged breast tissue. My dosage is 175 mg 2 times a week and yours was 250 mg - 42% more than my dosage. My erections are improving - but I am still not yet satisfied - as their advertising stated - have the libido and erection of a 22 year old. At this stage where I am at 525 I am feeling like I have the libido of a 52 year old (I will be 63 soon) and the erection of a 55 year old - albeit an improvement, but still a long way to go. But I still have 2 to 3 more months to go before I can critique the outcome. Another positive is that my blood pressure has moved into a normal range as I suffer from hypertension - I believe this is a direct benefit of the intense gym workouts. None of you have commented on the Shockwave Therapy. Anybody have anything to share? https://heclinics.com/shockwave-therapy-for-erectile-dysfunction-in-bangkok/ -
Hi Marc308, What is your opinion on the current format in year 2024 of BBB ? I agree that back in the day, Jim got it right - BBB was the proper good anchor to Boyztown - especially with the 9pm marching parade of the delicious sexy guys. It was truely tantalizing. Nowadays, BBB has become boring - as it is primarily focused on the Chinese tourist bus trade with screaming women. The sexy guy parade is long gone. Boyztown has lost its former excitement.

Amen to those words. I often dreaded Xmas time with people that made me uneasy - especially when the booze started flowing. So, Xmas in any other place - even if alone - was a GREAT alternative to the status quo. ๐

This was recently posted in the Gay Supertown Twitter (X) feed: So Olddaddy, you can add this Jomtien Complex bar (Divarium Cafe Bar & Restaurant) to the list of available bars. I think that you should also add the former Double Shot - as it looks totally abandoned - it was my favorite bar in the Complex. The Double Shot bar would make a great dance bar ๐๐คฉ
-
I stand corrected and more importantly - I am happy to hear this. Too bad the 2 biggest anchors of Boyztown, BoyzBoyzBoyz and Boyz Music were not there ? There is still some hope as we have the 2nd Pattaya PRIDE event, "Pride for All" on Saturday 22 June 2024 ๐ค

Lively seminar about menโs sexual health

I know that this is a delicate and can be embarrassing subject - but has anyone tried any of the ED (Erectile Dysfunction) therapies? TRT - Testosterone Replacement Therapy Shockwave Therapy ED Direct injections into the muscle part of the penis Are there other ED treatments available? other types of ED therapies? I recently started with the first option = TRT - here in Pattaya at https://www.wellthymeclinic.com/ after I saw the below 2 Youtube videos put out by Buzzin Pattaya. I am only 1 month into my new TRT treatments and there have been some positive results. The down side is that you need to go to the clinic twice a week to get the testosterone injections into your ass cheeks. Is it a "pain in the ass" - hahaha - a slight pain like a prolongated mosquito bite that lasts for a couple of seconds. Once a month you get your blood/urine work done so that they can monitor all of your levels - so it is a holistic health strategy. Doctor from the clinic told me to join a gym as that will also help and I immediately joined the Jomtien Fitness gym and now I have a personal trainer. I want to make the best out of this embarrassing situation and to get back into the swing of things and I want the POWER of our AMAZING Vinapu - my hero. Knowing this group - I am prepared for the ridicule - but if any of you are serious and know of other options and which one was the most successful for you I would be truly appreciated to know about it - and perhaps other members may also benefit. Thanks ๐ -
Thanks for this suggestion. Just now - I asked permission to be let into that Twitter group = ''onlyasianguy''
