mediocre - but that is to be expected - as it is still low season and also the rainy season. but many empty shops in the area are starting to get new tenants and things are starting to be spruced up in anticipation of the oncoming hi season.

Well - the new Jomtien Supertown Complex marquees are now up and operational. Photos taken today, Friday 20-Sep-2024. + In my opinion, this one above is quite impressive - especially for an area that has been zoned an area as being residential and not an entertainment area. It is quite BIG. This one is much smaller - as it is perched on the corner with an arrow to grab the attention of passersby who may not notice the larger marquee. What do you all think? Big boost coming for the approaching hi season ?

wow - amazing tidbit!!

sounds what the nomad workers call a Nomad Coworking Space - but in this instance it would be for purposes of cruising. but at least the bar should have a one drink minimum or rental fee to sit and "work" - like the Nomad Coworking Spaces do.....

Wow @Marc308 - what you write is so poignant. I retired here just 2 years ago - and I am already bored with the sterile atmosphere in both Boyztown and in the Jomtien Supertown Complex, as there is a lack of imagination to create some new innovative excitement. Every time a new bar opens - I get so hopeful - as I see that the new owners put a lot of money into it (the new East Lounge comes to mind) - but then the bar program remains the same as all of the other bars - "farang sit and farang drink...." and yes I agree, we need some NEW Jim Lumsden and Gordon May to come to town to liven things up here.... Lastly, I have recently started to join the weekly BINGO event - to please my gym trainer - as she says - let us go there and liven that place up - so we try to come with fellow gym friends and be crazy - so perhaps there is hope....

I see this as good news - as I believe that there are already more than 8,000 cannabis shops where many took out big bank loans to get their shops up and running. The fear was that if the government would outlaw this industry that this would create some more unemployment, some bad bank loans, and hardships for the entire supply-chain infrastructure (agriculture of cannabis, processing facilities, and distribution channels, etc.). Plus it will help to keep the new niche of tourists who enjoy cannabis coming to Thailand. I wonder what the Bhumjaithai Party, had to give up (political favor) in return to the Pheu Thai Party, to keep their new cannabis industry legal in Thailand ?

and perhaps now even. Years back when I went to visit the famous railway bridge over the River Kwai up in Kanchanaburi - and then where this same railway line passes into Burma at the 3 Pagodas pass - I was quite perplexed with my 2 tour guides (one a Shan State guy from Myanmar and the other a Thai guy from Isaan) that they did not understand or know about the Death Railway and how Thailand was forced to yield way to its temporary ally, Japan, to build it within the Thailand territory. These 2 guys did not even know that Japan had technically invaded Thailand for a short period of time and then Thailand decided to yield to this invasion and to become a Japanese ally to avoid a war with Japan. When I made my 2 tour guides see and learn about the atrocities that were committed by the Japanese to build this death railway - they were quite shocked. Perhaps this part of their history is overlooked ?

I could not agree more @vinapu In fact, if you think about how many of us during our work careers had to do and fulfill jobs that we did not like - but we did it anyway because we needed the money and/or work status. I would imagine that it is the same for many of the "straight" guys who put themselves out there for us to play with. However, I would argue that they are not doing it for the status but only for the money. With the various "straight" guys that I have become close to over the years that were my sexual service providers - they almost all had these attributes in common: they needed the money - often because their female partner/wife had financially demanding needs, if they had a good feeling with their customer - they often preferred to stay only with a close select group of customers that treated them well, they could sometimes experience sexual activities that were a fantasy for them - good blow job, good tight ass to fuck, or as one "straight" guy told me - give me the one thing that my wife cannot give me - a HARD dick in my ass to massage my prostrate to give me a mind blowing orgasm. I used to always tease him and say - well then you are gay and he would say - NO - I love the beauty of women - but these women cannot fuck me good in the ass. What is something that a gay man would want from a straight guy that another gay guy could not give him ?
-
I believe that he had to return to his home country. But, I do not have a concrete source - so I would suggest that you ask around in the Complex. Perhaps the successor bar, East Lounge may know. It would be nice to know where all of those sexy Cambodians went? There are around 35 bars in the complex, and in my opinion, ONLY the former Double Shot bar did anything fun to SPICE things up by having the guys remove their shirts at 10 pm. Most of the other bars follow the less exciting program of: Falang sit and Faland drink = boring
-
Double Shot moved from Sunee Plaza to the Jomtien Supertown Complex. Yes, he was the same owner. It was my favorite bar in the complex because at 10pm all of the guys took off their shirts - as they were mostly sexy guys from Cambodia. Unfortunately, Double Shot closed some months ago and is now the new East Lounge.

Found in Jomtien today - Suck for 800 baht - cleaning service ?

My cleaning ladies will come to my condo on Friday morning and I cannot wait to show them this advertisement. But, I don't want to push it too much as they might want to make a counteroffer - YUCK!!! I adore the both of them - but no way for a blowjob - even with my ED testosterone injections..... yuck!!! -
hmmm - maybe Rob's got a point Vinapu I could take you to the weekly (Wednesday) Jomtien Supertown Complex BINGO night at the @Home bar and you can even win some money. Think what you could do with that "fresh" BINGO jackpot baht cash ?

and that decision is part of the reason why Boyztown has lost its former appeal (excitement). the other being that the Boyztown anchor = BoyzBoyzBoyz - most of the guys on the stage are fully dressed now (how boring) and the place is now focusing on the Asian (Chinese, Korean) crowd So for me, like Vinapu mentioned above - the remaining fun places are now mostly outside of Boyztown (with the exception of Toy Boy) - just a couple of streets over - at: X-Boys Pattaya https://www.xboyspattaya.com/x-boys/welcome https://www.facebook.com/groups/xboyspattaya/ Dream Boys https://www.facebook.com/p/ดรีมบà¸à¸¢-พัทยา-100063778861133/

After seeing you in May - I started to implement a similar rationalization methodology with my Thai friends when they ask me to spend money on what they deem to be FUN. My rebuttal is now - if I spend X how many orgasms will I get in return? Remember when they were complaining because I was proud to go to Bangkok with you for my "bootcamp training" - because they all told me - no, we can take you to Bangkok and show you the city - which would be shopping malls, fancy restaurants, and anything where they could show off on their social media accounts - where I would need to foot the bill. When I told them that with you that I would be guaranteed so many orgasms for a lot less money then it would cost me to take them to Bangkok for their "tour" they were not happy. I noticed that when I went to BKK for my birthday in August - they already understood to not ask me what I really wanted for my birthday. So, with "# of orgasms" in the denominator - truly helps to reduce frivolous spending.

I just now finished a 4 hands massage and one of the 2 "masseurs" was a guy who works in the Sunee Intimate Boy Bar within the Jomtien Supertown Complex and I asked him about what happened based on @Olddaddy post and he did say that the bar had to shut down for a day or 2 - as per a "delicate incident" - which has now been resolved and all is back to normal. Even yesterday, the Twitter (X) page for @GaySupertown was updated with the below photo of the 14 guys who work there. My masseur guy is not in the below photo - he said that he is shy. But it is amazing that 15 guys can work in one small bar - but they do put on dance shows for entertainment and it is right next door to The Venue - one of the 2 cabaret bars in the complex.
-
I disagree - when I reviewed the CCTV footage with the security team and also with my main Thai friend who organizes my 4 hands massages for me - we could see that this guy was: lying to everyone about his true intentions with contradicting stories to me and to the security team, you don't ring someone's doorbell incessantly at 2:50am and then lie about it that you made a mistake. I think that the truth is that his Thai bank account was put in restricted status perhaps due to "mule" activities and his bank wanted documentation about what was going on. As an ex-banker myself, there was NO-Way I was going to get involved in this - as it can quickly become a dragnet where you can also be implicated.
-
I need to go over and visit these places - as they are getting repetitive rave reviews and I have not yet ventured there yet. I adore your current writing style and I never felt that they were full of "extended waffling" - I often find joy in extra words as sometimes the magic or what made a situation unique is hidden in this "extended waffling".

When I moved from the USA to Italy in 1999 - I was very surprised by the number of men who identified as "bi-sex" rather than "gay" - because back then it was more acceptable to be "bi-sex" then gay - a lot to do with the fact that Italy hosts the Vatican and the conservative nature of many Italian rural families. I wonder if now in 2024, more Italians would now finally feel safe to identify as gay instead of bi-sex. Another Italian friend of mine told me that being bi-sex has always been in the Italian culture from the Roman Gladiator timeframe, where it was quite normal for men to have both a wife - for procreation purposes and one or more boy-toys to play with and to have sex with - as this was often standard practice. So, perhaps this is why many Italian men identified as bi-sex ?
-
I LOVE this rationalization methodology - bravo!!
-
their boys sporting their 'constipated model' looks I love the way you describe the Jupiter guys - and I agree totally. BUT, when I was @vinapu in August at Jupiter - we had the privilege to sit upstairs where most of the guys did not keep the 'constipated model' look - until they would descend the stairs onto the stage for Showtime - where constipation is required. and what a happy ending - you helped the guy to release his tension from 1 week of constant constipation Bravo!!!
-
or the contrary - to make old retired me look like an Greek Adonis porn star? :>)) would anyone in Jomtien - Pattaya believe it if I send said video around? hahahahaha - they would say = Ba Farang!!!

Going to Thailand again - a few questions from Numazu
bkkmfj2648 replied to numazu's topic in Gay Thailand
I traveled alone - but I was one of many passengers on the speedboat. I stopped bringing my Thai friends to Koh Larn because all they do is hide in the shade underneath the trees, sleep, and complain it is too hot. They don't join me to play and swim in the clean sea water because they do not want to get brown or tanned. So, I go alone and save my money and I truly enjoy myself. -
Going to Thailand again - a few questions from Numazu

I went to Koh Larn island yesterday, Sunday 15 September 2024. I took speedboat from the Bali Hai pier - 150 baht each way and 20 to 25 minute ride. I prefer the western side of the island (beaches are better) so I use the AM (green) speedboat service to Tawan beach and then I rent a motorbike for 300 or 400 baht and I drive across the hill over to my FAVORITE beach = Tien beach. See my 2022 trip report to Koh Larn for more granular details. -
I have this app on my mobile phone and it is VERY useful. I lost my motorbike driving license on nearby Koh Larn 6 months prior and I was able to use the digital facsimile on the app whenever I was stopped for a control.
