  1. I have two such boys in reserves and call them my consolators, you are right , great bad taste removers and thrilled with income and repeat custom. One even sensed that I'm more sticky than usual and asked ' you no like boy last night?"
  2. I like to follow other's feedback and being contrarian particularly if feedback is not very thrilling I 'd like to check for myself if that's really that bad. Usually it is but on quite a few occasions I found I like places quite a few others don't / BBB Inn, Arena and Dreamboys come to mind /. On another hand to this day I did not get what is so attractive with soi 4 / Balcony, Telephone etc. / others are always raving about so you right , it must be vibes either working for us or not.
  3. May be nobody knows how army will react and this is a reason they stay on the sidelines so far. Coup is the last thing Thailand needs right now, yes it's gridlock but country is not paralyzed and even has time to issue new 500 baht banknote tomorrow. Even sex tourists seem only mildly to be inconvenienced.
  4. Lots of hotels keep boy's ID while he is entertaining you and when he is leaving they will call you from reception to make sure all is Ok before releasing said ID. This is universally praised since makes you feeling more secure. While I like idea, I never sent boy downstairs alone and always escort him to retrieve his document and to the hotel's door at least. This way he can avoid unwelcomed stares and comments form the hotel guests and stuff. Back in 2002 boy I offed had request for a tip when retrieving his ID from reception at Niagara Hotel so I learned my lesson when he complained to me next day and never do this to boys again, even that unique one I threw from the room last Nov. What you do when you send your boy off?
  5. To answer my own question: no, I would not complain to anybody there neither haggle about price reduction / refund, would go away quietly. Would post my experience on the forum with explanation why I 'm not happy including boy's number / name / nick. Yes I would give them another chance in the future as one statistic sample is not basis for developing any theory , would even try the same boy if I liked him originally as we all have bad days sometimes. But would be in no rush to return as I like buttereflying between places and rarely visit the same place more then once in the same trip and if I do it's only to see boy known to me already
  6. Inspired by today's posts by new poster kalabao55 / welcome to the forum ! / in Gay business section. You are visiting massage or bar for the first time steered there by favorable feedback and for some reason you are disappointed with boy, service, whatever. What is your strategy in such a case? Would you complain to somebody in charge, haggle about reducing price or just go away quietly, posting your negative feedback somewhere like forum . Will you give them another chance or swear to never return ? After all somebody before you was happy, it' s likely why you went there, on another hand your experience is not a good one. I'm curious what you guys do , will post my answer separately below
  7. I feel sorry for all those resident monitor lizzards at Lumpini, with all that crowds and noise I wonder how poor creatures fare.
  8. military intervention would only make sense if would lead to speedy elections / 2 months from the coup max / and guarantee from military that whoever wins will have full backing from army. But this is day dreaming, not only in Thailand. Military tends to screw things up as you can't run country the same way you run armed forces Word from you know who to support elected government and asking for crowds to disperse would help but this is another day dreaming in circumstances. It leaves monetary solution - if economy will start hurting than three's rare chance for big business and Issan farmers to be in the same boat and demand speedy end to all this BS, another day dreaming but most probable and less hurtful in terms of blood shed. After all some deep pockets are financing 6 months of unrest in BKK UN has better things to do that getting involved in internal problems of still fairly stable country IMHO. Michael as an American you may not realize that there are people in the world for whom Sept 11 has completely different meaning that for Americans and rest of world. Those are Chileans , Sept 11-1973 was date of Pinochet's coup.
  9. I wish you luck and please keep us posted , we did not have a trip report for a while. In BKK you never far away from restaurant or street food stand , no matter where you are staying
  10. Democracies are doing exactly of what we electorate want them to do, we are buying things we don't need for money we don't have so why governments should act differently. Whether this is prudent or sustainable is another matter. But it looks that Thailand with her messy politics is in better debt position that countries you named, all matured democracies.
  11. nothing wrong with discussing politics as long as we can accept that others may have completely different view on the matters than our own, sometimes is hard to make own mind though, I'm in this situation in respect of recent events - not happy that concert of mob and judiciary removed elected official but happy that sister of former prime minister is no longer in the same position as I hate dynastic politics in democracy. But you right, Thai politics belong to Thais, we have own pleasures.
  12. make sure you keep us updated as we did not have any trip report in a while and instead of discussing regular subjects like boy's tips and costs of drinks we are involved more in politics recently
  13. not necessarily, I suspect that proliferation of dynastic politics in democracies in recent years will eventually undermine democracy everywhere as president's son will consider run for presidency his birthright and so will governor's daughter. Gandhi dynasty run Congress party in India on this principle and quite possibly we will see sad demise of both as early as results of elections will be announced at end of next week. I personally would never vote even for St. Peter 's presidency just because his brother St.Andrew was president already. Not being American I wish both Hillary and Jeb Bush well while hoping both parties will find less old bloodied candidates.
  14. while you are right I personally believe that no place in Thailand reivals Bangkok as destination and no visitor to LOS should miss it. It's like visiting USA and going to Orlando, Florida and Seattle but missing New York, technically person was in USA but was it really? / I may be biased as I love big cities and strongly believe in what Carl Marx said- good side of capitalism is that liberated humanity from hopelessness of rural life / Considering that Lumpini/Silom junction is steps from Soi Twilight and sois 2 and 4 I rather say "resign yourself to beating crowds at that junction"
  15. Remotely , yes, after all there were few elections resulting in change of government. Is USA with quite a chunk of seats on the Capitol occupied by spouses , children and relatives of their former holders that shining example just because those people were voted in in fair election? /So was Hitler / You right about being sarcastic about majority being able to vote corrupt party in but really what is workable alternative still resembling democracy ? Enlighten absolutism , communism or dictatorship . They all had their day and results were mixed at best.
  16. No need to get upset, this is just conversation-exchange of views. We can support what others have to say or not. You should rather say ' we are all experts here " instead. When comes to politics everybody is an expert, recall early 90-ties, which highly paid and educated expert predicted collapse of USSR? None, right? But quite a few on the people on street did.
  17. Hopefully cold heads will prevail in both Thai political establishment and on this forum. Politicos clearly should see that bringing people to the streets is double edges sword as other side may do the same. Scaremongering doesn't help as demonstrations go on from Nov last year and as far as travel to LOS is concerned everybody who went there returned safe. Yingluck miscalculated her step with amnesty proposal which infuriated both sides so was author of her own misfortune. As for courts being joke it looks that everywhere nowadays when they wade into politics they become one, not unique to Thailand. Circus with Florida 'chads ' during presidential election in USA giving seat to George W comes to mind. Al Gore just had more class that Suthep to give up , likely due to cleaner hands. So all planning Thai vacations don't chicken out and just go, stay away from big gatherings as you would to in any foreign country and don't discuss politics with locals, boys included.
  18. I's second Bob's comments, it's pure farce , not democracy if PM is removed by collusion of mob and judicial actions. I'd not cancel any trip tsubiboy, just go and enjoy . leave Thai political affairs for Thais to solve. We can just help our boys to put food on the table / and on occasion new smartphone in the pocket /

    My visit to S52

Thank you Markblue, reading this I turned red. I don't think it's true but I'm glad you found my comments useful. What I learned over years is that it's better if boy forces himself upon me than me forcing myself upon him. They take our money gladly and make themselves available but still have their feelings and preferences and both sides are winners if there's some kind of match between two, it's called chemistry. It's why I have strong preference for eye to eye assignment before hiring boy although others using GayRomeo and likes may disagree. As for LOS next trip, I'm planning one for second half of December so still long wait

    My visit to S52

Sorry for jumping in before ryoyo answered but I'm not big fan of booking ahead if one did not see his boy eye to eye, you may be nicely surprised as Ryoyo was but also boy you fancied based on photo may not necessarily be your type in flesh. It's another story if you know boy already or just acting on somebody's recommendation, than go ahead and book him. As for picking up boys based on photos it must be something in Thais beauty which escapes camera - almost 100% boys I know are looking better in flesh than on their pictures. I wonder if others have the same experience?

    My visit to S52

placed S52 on my list of places to visit at end of year, thank you for finding it for us
  22. Likely this is sure way if for some reason you want to miss your fight,
  23. I'm not American but strongly believe that George W started all this nonsense. Last year when crossing to USA to attend friend's funeral among questions I was asked were " with whom do you live" and " are you renting or living in your own place", translation of it for me was "stay away from USA until next funeral"
  24. I wonder who is watching TV and drinking beer is so many people are jogging.
