At times he may not be that attractive by the looks but can be still enormous fun to be with. My choice would be Talat market right on Saen Saep canal route, easy and fun to get to, small, busy and entirely local with corresponding prices. Take boat going west and after less than 10 minutes you are there . Can be combined with visit to Golden Mount temple , steps from next and final stop

Since I was one of those board members I confirm that floors were positively dirty in places but it's still far from climbing Mt.Popa near Bagan in Myanmar where one is asked to remove shoes and climb the mountain barefooted on the cemented trail liberally sprinkled with resident monkey's excrements , experience not to be forgotten too soon
