Yay!!!! But to be honest, I'd still travel to LOS even if it had FALLEN 50%. So much fun to be had, so little time.

Michael, this has to be one of the best trip reports I've ever seen on the net - it is just awesome and a mine of info. Now you've got me planning a trip to Brazil next year! It appears that rent boys are available all over the place. Are the saunas the best places to grab a guy? I'd be a bit wary about cruising in the dark. And when you take the guy(s) back to the hotel, does the receptionist ask for the boy's ID?

And it is impossible for someone outside the cockpit to open the door. Even an air marshall cannot get in. But I'd hate to be that Chief Purser!

The restaurant food is awesome - the best tom yum goong I've ever had. Only problem, on the occasions I've had dinner there, I was the only guest! I've been travelling to LOS since 2004. That year I stayed at the Plaza Hotel (down past the Tartawan on the other side of the street) but since I discovered the Rose, I've never looked for anywhere else.

Sorry. Predictive text. Quiet air conditioning, not zirconia. Although I do prefer my zirconias to remain quiet and only speak when they are spoken to. Lol

I've stayed at the Rose 12 times over the past 4 years and agree with everything ceejay has written. The staff of women has always been the same. Someone told me they were all family members. There is no joiner charge. In fact, if you come back alone they almost give you a strange look as if to say :Where's your guy? Lol I'm very comfortable bringing a guy back - totally stress free. I always book directly with the hotel and have never had a problem. The hotel told me it was better to book directly. Just make sure you ask for a room with a quiet zirconia. Wifi is 100 baht per hour but you can walk down to the coffee shops for free wifi if that's an issue.

I don't know who the other poster is, KT and I don't care. I didn't leave the board on account of the contents of one poster's posts. I felt a group of guys had hijacked the board and I didn't want to be a part of their "fun." I've got no interest in discussing chicken soup, which is one of their latest topics started by one of the group. That's all. If someone posts here and follows the guidelines, then there should be no problem. And no "blow up." I haven't de-registered from that board. I just don't post there any more.

I had no intention of mentioning SGT so I'm not sure why KT brought the topic up. And I didn't "announce" that I was quitting the board. But seeing as you have broached the topic, I left SGT because the board was hijaked by a small group of guys who are laughing at the rest of the members - and the owner. I hope they are not allowed to register here and that this board will be a lot more informative regarding our common interests in gay Thailand and all its gay delights. I'm looking forward to up to date info on bars, restaurants, where to go, etc. Simple as that.. Cheers
