For the very reason I posted above. "Sorry, but I deleted it immediately as others sometimes use my ipad and I wouldn't like them to see it." If all notifications are turned off, as can be seen in my screenshot, how is it possible to receive emails? Is there a bug in the system?

I would never ride on the back of a motorcycle, no matter how cheap or convenient they are. It's not so much the skill of the motorcycle guys, it's the lack of skill of the other road users that worries me. When we go from Sunee to Jomtien we never walk down to the baht bus departure rank in front of the school. We just hall one on the main road.

Just tell the guy you want to take him back to Jomtien and he'll get you there. He'll walk you up to the main road and from there it's only 10 minutes or so by baht bus. No big deal. As for short time, there is no set limit - certainly not just an hour as far as the guys in Sunee are concerned. Guys from Boyztown may insist on a 1 hour time limit but I've never come across this. Short time finishes after the fun has finished.

Watching them pushing each other side to grab the money while the customers all laugh at them is humiliating, imho. When I tiIp the cleaners in my hotel or the reception staff I don't throw the money at them and watch them fight over it; I hand it to them. No need for a bank transfer.

Yes, there are plenty of guys around, all cashing in on high season. Lots of bars have parties and shows. Spoon, your problem is that by the time you get to the bars many of the guys will have already been taken. For those already in town the best thing to do is get to a bar early, off a guy and celebrate together. The real Thai New Year celebration is Songkran, not the western one. That's when a lot of guys return home to be with their friends and family

Nothing that happens between us and the guys in Thailand is real, imho. The guys we off are all just role-playing and some are better actors than others. That doesn't mean a kind of "friendship" can't develop, but even that isn't real, as it is not a true friendship - certainly not in the way I would consider a friendship to be. We both have our own friends and I'm pretty sure the hot young guys would much rather spend their time with them, rather than us. It's the tip that keeps them coming back. That doesn't mean they can't be friendly or become fond of you or that you can't have a great time together, especially if you have guys who you off exclusively. With a one night stand with a guy from a bar, the focus is on the sex. If you see someone regularly, then you can focus on other things while you are together. I enjoy the boyfriend fantasy, but at the end of the day, that's all it is to me - a fantasy.

Arthur and Paul Hotel has everything you'll ever need. I've stayed there 3 or 4 times. I've written about it extensively in my trip reports. It's 100% gay, clean and modern, with very friendly staff. The rooms are large and the bed is one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Local guys turn up in the late afternoon to swim in the pool and enjoy the sauna "activities". Guys who work at the Space Bar are often seen there, too. Most of the clientele are European and I've seen a number of hot guys lounging around the pool over the years. Some swim or sunbathe naked. I even saw a hot couple having sex on a sunbed! The staff were still talking about it on the next visit. Lol And the breakfast is delicious! It's a 3 minute tuk-tuk ride to Hatha Khmer massage. Paris chic in downtown Phnom Pehn.

Yes, it's delicious! Very overpriced for such a small serve but the presentation on the plate is beautiful. I find Sizzler's food very bland and full of sugar. Yuk!

And that's exactly why I stick to the same 2 guys, trip after trip. I have an awesome experience with them every single time and I know exactly what to expect. Although the idea of being adventurous is appealing to some, I only have a limited amount of time when on holiday and so do not want any surprises in the form of non-performing guys who waste my valuable time. If I were living there, I may think differently.

1. Don't be shy when dealing with the guys. They've heard, and seen, it all before. 2. If you're not sure how to proceed just leave it to your "friend.". He'll lead you through the experience. He will know exactly what to do. 3. As others have said, check your change. 4 If you decide to have drinks and some fun in the bar with more than one guy, keep an eye on what you are spending. It can add up very quickly. 5. If you are a bottom, do your "preparation" before you head out to the bars, not after you get back to the room. 6. Make sure you both know exactly what is expected in bed. Neither of you should end up surprised or disappointed.

In all my encounters over the years I can only think of three guys who rimmed. I never asked them to do it and so was taken completely by surprise. Two were guys I offed on a regular basis. My two regular guys have never offered and I've never asked them.

I have never stayed at a hotel which charged a joiner fee. Am I correct in thinking that the joiner fee is payable only if the guy stays overnight? Surely the hotel can't charge if you just take your friend to your room for short time, even if it's in the middle of the night after the bars have closed.
