I vote for save your miles and pay the extra on Eva Air Elite Class/Premium Economy. Almost biz class without the expense.... From LAX-BKK is showing 1345 r/t from LAX in November... double the price of their economy tix. I agree with Gaybutton, find the best price and call to see if they can beat it. Just be aware of the booking class and see if you'll earn miles and weigh the difference. I have never used miles to BKK, it just seems a long way to go without getting miles in return, lol

remember there will be more people eligible for those upgrades now as well.... just like what happened with all the airline mergers

Copa has had service from their USA gateways to Cuba (via PTY) for over a year now. All you need to do is fill out an online affidavit that you qualify for travel to Cuba under current law. United, Jetblue or whoever gets approval to fly to Cuba will have to do the same thing until the travel ban is completely lifted/changed.

Just back from Havana... in Cancun now. Been going for about 17 yrs, well known to the Police and the Bartenders, taxi drivers, etc...not sure if that's a good thing or not, lol I forgot that Jan/Feb can be chilly & windy and many of the guys return to their provinces (someone said that tourism has been expanding outside of Havana and a lot of the guys prefer to look for "work" closer to home) Anyway, I had an OK time, too many queeny guys this trip for me and guys saying they do this and that (all talk and no action) so I stay away from that kind. Good report.... 11 days and I was READY to get out of Cuba.....but looking forward to Brasil with Tomcal in March ;-)

I disagree that ALL the smiles and chit chat are fake... if you are a genuinely nice person and interesting, real friendships can be formed.... not with all the boys, but it happens. I'm in touch with several guys that either were working boys or workers at the saunas and here we are 15 yrs later and we still talk/message. Tomcal too is a really nice guy (sometimes) and he too has some of the similar friendships. I also go to restaurants, hotels, flights and like someone else mentioned Dr's & Lawyers.... all there for your money, paid to be nice....but friendships can be formed if there is a chemistry or similar interests. The public toilet comment eludes me

I know guys that do more than just touching/showing in the saunas.... however whether in a room or these "public" spaces, they expect to be paid.... in the rentboy saunas. Lagoa: in the steamroom, bathrooms, pool/jacuzzi, video room Fragata: Steamroom, video room, out back upstairs where guys go to smoke (if no one else is there) and in the bathroom stalls. in Rio.... anywhere in Tomcals apt. also, there are many "non rentboy" saunas & sexclubs that public sex happens....Blackout club, chili pepper, UpGrade, Wild Thermas Club and also the gay Cinemas. Won't find the quality of guys (in my opinion) or the option of just picking someone and they'll go.... be prepared for unwanted advances and your advances being ignored..... is a lot more work, lol

Yeah, I disagree.... the boys have seen and done things that would make your head spin. I hang out with the guys and we talk alot....about EVERYTHING.... you are right, many (not all) of the boys talk about clients and their likes/dislikes, but how many guys say they are ONLY TOP but then when in the room alone are willing to do everything. They say that to save face in public.

It closes at midnight.... the google listing is wrong, should've gone to their website instead. I have fun at both saunas but have a preference for Fragata, I like the regular guy on the street look and younger.... however, their rooms suck. I'm going back to Cuba in a couple of weeks...... Cell phones are a commodity and are better than cash in most 3rd world countries,lol What type of money were you exchanging? The USD is the hardest because of the 10% penalty they still impose but I found someone that would give 96 cents without the penalty because they were taking dollars to Venezuela and Equador since there is talk about changing to 1 official currency and no one wants to be stuck with a bunch of useless CUC. Restaurants are WAY better now than they use to be....they actually have the things listed on the menu and since Raul has opened up restaurants as an allowed business (just just from your home) he sold under performing state owned places to individuals. There are about 5 or 6 places I frequent. My last trip I had a kid stay with me for 8 nights didn't pay him anything because he craved a cell phone. So on my last day we went to Carlos Tercero area and for $95 bought him a nice used phone, he was thrilled.

I had one of the best massages of my life there, is supposedly a gay place, the owner certainly was. The guy was VERY cute and did a great massage but for the ending he just went through the motions but could tell he wasn't gay nor really into it. I forget the name but is kind of right behind the Bangkok Bank on the main strip.... I found out about it on Travelgayasia or Utopia, not sure

Ha, I didn't know you were there...... is a great time... don't worry about the saunas, not missing anything...nor the bars. My last trip there I went to a bar only 1 night.... rest hooked up with guys from that site or grindr. MEX is a little more expensive in hiring then other rural parts (Veracruz, Merida) but 500-1000 is the norm range... I too don't get the Colombians, Cubans, etc... asking 1500-2000. But hey, good luck because there is a TON of big money people in DF that will pay and looking for something more exotic to them.... with a big dick! There is a famous area with a lot of street hustlers, lots of cuties (drove by in taxi once).... but that's late at night.... and even as much as I enjoy being mugged and beaten or having phones stolen...(inside joke).... I won't go there, lol
