  1. Please don't forget to leave the info on your blonde boy Firecat !. I am in Pattaya January. I love the exotic blonde look.
  2. The gay sex tourist seems to have done well over the last few years price wise. According to what I read on str forums the prices paid to girls has escalated considerably. Apparently long time with a gogo girl from Walking St is now a minimum of 3000 and the off fee is generally 1000. This seems like about twice what we pay. There is another factor influencing the economics of a trip to Thailand which is the exchange rate for baht. Not so long ago it was 70 to the Brit pound but now for my January holiday it looks like being 50, although it has been as low as 44. However when I'm in bed with a boy this does not occupy my mind a great deal !.
  3. I spend most of my trips in Pattaya which does not get affected by political trouble, although the curfews were a nuisance. Prices tend to be lower in Pattaya but there has been some inflation over the last few years. For long time I tend to pay 2000 and for short time 1200/1300 whereas 3 years ago I recall generally paying 1500 LT. Gayromeo is popular in Pats with the advantage of no off fee. Ive only occasionally been asked for more cash but my "boyfriends du jour" are very astute at bidding up there income by asking for small gifts like jeans.
  4. Ive used the DD Inn from time to time on the short time basis usually when i have picked up boys from the beach, and did not want to take them back to Pattaya. I recall the rooms were fine for my purpose. However in August I went there with a boy in the early afternoon and the place seemed to be closed. He didn't know of an alternative in Jomtien but we went to his room in one of the sois, which was extremely basic and not at all conducive to good sex. I would be interested to know if the DD is currently open for business. Maybe I caught it temporarily shut.
  5. I suppose it depends what you have a right to expect when entering a gay massage shop. By definition you should receive a massage, but what have you the right to receive in addition in the form of sexual services ?. I always expect the masseur to be naked and mostly that happens, only the odd occasion when that was not the case. In August I selected a younger boy who started to massage dressed. I could tell he was inexperienced and a litlle nervous and later he told me it was his first day. I asked him to strip which he did down to his underpants, but after further urging he took those off. His massage was OK and I couldnt complain, but i realised that the sexual part would be limited. He allowed me to fondle him whilst he masterbated me, but no oral or anal occured. Did I have the right to expect more ?.
  6. I select a centre aisle seat as there is the greatest chance of having an adjoining vacant seat next to me. I dont like to be too far back as there is more engine noise there and equally i dont want to be near the bulkheads as they put families with babies there who have a habit of screaming throughout the flight. I seldom get any sleep on a long haul flight and find the whole experience including airports unpleasant. BC is definitely less painfull but it costs approx 800 pounds more and I cannot justify this expenditure. Anyway after 14 hours in economy its a very great pleasure to stretch out between the cool sheets in a nice hotel in Thailand.
  7. After oral sex I rinse my mouth with neat Listerine. I hope it does some good. I have yet to contract STI from sucking and rimming, but i have heard of other guys not being so lucky. I understand the risk of HIV from oral is tiny.
  8. I have developed colds in the first few days of my trips, but the hot weather and sea air in Pattaya seems to shift them faster than at home in cold wet England. Whilst I've the cold i do try and be considerate and avoid kissing the boys, but i suppose i believe over them. Not had any cold related complaints though. Im always a bit nervous about sucking minus condom. Im not sure if mouthwash does any good. When i went to Magnolia Massage there was a supply of Listerine available and i always have a small bottle with me when i intend to have a massage or have sex in a ST room.
  9. I like Tmax have recently booked my flight and am looking forward to my next trip. My usual plan is to have a restful first day (i will arrive in Pattaya around midday) and jet lag permitting, a nights sleep. Very sensible of course deferring the sexual action. However as usual in August the old adage "Dont make plans in Pattaya" kicked in. A short while after i arrived i succumbed to temptation and using GR i was in bed with a boy !.
  10. Of course we need to take to task members who make up stories but on the other hand we always need new blood on the forum, so there is a fine line to be drawn and i think this happens most of the time. I very much enjoy reading the various posts which keep me in touch with the gay scene in Thailand. I have now made more than 200 , but i think i am still a relatively newbie, but i have yet to experience any unpleasant reaction.
  11. Since i started this thread which obviously has some resonance i should like to recall another accident in Pattaya i was involved in, which however did not involve any injury to myself, but which was a tricky situation. Im a keep fit enthusiast and whilst in Pattaya i join the Tony Gym on third road where most mornings i work out with weights, treadmill and swimming, following which i normally proceed to Dongtan Beach for a restful afternoon. Leaving Tonys i was wanting to cross Third Road to get a motor bike taxi but there was two lines of traffic waiting at the Third Road/ South Road junction traffic lights. Being impatient i threaded my way to the outer lane and in front of a large coach. I stepped onto the clear road beyond when WHAM i was hit by a motor bike taxi which was overtaking the coach. The bike plus driver plus passenger fell onto the road and slid for maybe 20 yards. The driver had hurt his leg for sure and the Thai lady passenger was screaming. By some miracle i was unhurt but shaken. I picked up the bike and parked it and helped the driver onto the footpath. I thought i was in trouble - Big trouble. The lady calmed down and she said it was a 50 50 accident. I asked her what should i do, because the driver definitely needed medical attention. She suggested i gave him some money and i quickly produced 2000 baht. He took it said "OK" and got into a baht bus which was empty and she told that he was off to the public hospital. The Thai lady stopped another motor bike taxi and went off without another word. I went to the nearest bar - Roo Bar I think, and drank a double whiskey. I was extremely relieved !!. I was told by experienced Farangs that i had escaped very lightly.
  12. Ive just read Firecat,s thread where he tells us that he has an injured ankle. Injuries like that can certainly clip ones wings and its disappointing when it happens on holiday. It happened to me a couple of years ago in Pattaya. I was in a gogo bar short time room with a cutie and had proceeded to the shower with him. Coming out i slipped on the floor tiles and fell heavily against a step from the shower room. It hurt. Next day it was really bad and i could hardly move without pain and my back had a huge bruise. I suspected i had broken a rib so went to the Bangkok Pattaya hospital. It turned out i had only badly bruised my ribs. The advice was only to take pain killers and wait It certainly spoilt the remaining week of my holiday and my activities with boys was severely restricted. The moral of my story is that you have to my careful. Thailand is not safety conscious. Broken pavements, crazy traffic, slippery tiles, etc etc.
  13. OK In terms of scenic value Dongtan is nowhere in the beach league tables but its certainly ahead of the main one at Pattaya. Those on Koh Larn used to be beautiful but now they are spoilt by over-development and packed with Russians. Its advertised as "Coral Island" but the coral has long since been wrecked. For a nice beach within striking distance I would recommend Koh Samet, but there is no gay scene there. Dongtan does have sand and it does have sea and I still like to go there, despite the absence of boys, to sit and enjoy the sea breezes, read my Kindle or the English newspaper i have down-loaded on my Ipad. I have even watched a couple of episodes of The Sopranos on it, which certainly kept my mind off sex. The Bamboo bar is a bit "hit and miss". I visited it three times during my recent trip. One visit my waiter did not sit with me. One visit I wasn't in the mood despite having my dick felt. The third time I was turned on by a fellow customer kissing and took my waiter back to the Samsuck where I was staying for some fun in my room.
  14. Thats very true williewillie !. In conversation friends tell me the i am constantly using the phrases "I remember" , "When I was", "A few years ago". I first visited Pattaya in 2005 in company with a gay friend. In fact we hadnt much idea about the place - we only went there on suggestion from a guy who we sat near on the plane. I thought it was wonderfull and i still believe that the scene was better then. In my memory the gay beach was crowded with cute boys wearing speedos like the one there <<<<<. You could have fun with them on the chairs and in the water, where the sea was flat and calm. Afterwards it would be back to the hotel. But maybe it wasnt like that always. Im forgetting the days when the beach was quiet and when it started to rain. When i got tired of being pestered by vendors and massage guys. Sometimes an unattractive boy would sit down uninvited and it was hard to get rid of him. I never plucked up courage to wear my thong. Pattaya is still perhaps the best place in the world for the gay sex tourist. Its not the same as a few years ago - its DIFFERENT.
  15. I like his blonde hair and some of his tattoos'. Also i quite like body piercings (i had nipple rings a few years ago). However he's a bit too hunky for my taste.
  16. Thinking of the Dongtan Gay Beach of a few years ago. That is populated mainly by older farangs and younger Thai rent boys, with few females or families. I ask was it unique in the world ?. I have been to gay beaches in Europe, principally at Maspalomas on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria, although I've not been for a number of years now. But they were rather different to Dongtan. That is the clientele are rather younger, mostly go naked and looking to flirt or have sex amongst themselves (in the case of Maspalomas sometimes in the sand dunes when the cops were not about! ). There were few or no young rent boys to my recollection. If there is a another Dongtan Beach somewhere in the world i would be interested to hear about it.. Maybe in the Philippines ?. Probably the old Dongtan, before GR, was unique and unsustainable ?.
  17. Firecat i love your posts. You have got me checking my diary and the internet for flight prices. !. I especially like the final pic in number #64 of the boy laid on his stomach in the wet-look black briefs. Brown skin against the white sheet. However i prefer boys without facial hair particularly when kissing. Number #62 for example. Keep up the good work !.
  18. Yes mamasans can be useful and i sometimes tip them at a bar where i off a boy. I remember five years ago offing a cute boy from a Sunee gogo overnight. I didnt make any arrangement to see him again, but during the day i got the hots for him and that evening i went back to the gogo only to find him sat with another customer. I waited a while but there was no indication that the boy would be available. I called the mama over and explained the situation and gave her a good tip. She spoke to the customer, and myself and the boy were able to leave. He became my boyfriend du jour for three days until the end of my holiday. I returned to the gogo each evening to pay the off fee and chatted to the mama and to give further tips.
  19. Ive been in Toyboys quite a few times and have never seen the Screaming Chinese phenominum, however it strikes me as an unwelcome development - perhaps the "thin edge of the wedge". We regard Boystown, Sunee, and the Dongtan Gay Beach as "our" (ie older gay farangs) territory, and we are disturbed by such invasions.
  20. Gaybutton - the lack of boys has been the subject of several discussion threads on the board over the last couple of years. Its probably got a lot to do with Gayromeo. Using GR you can summon up a boy without the hassle of getting to Jomtien, buying drinks and flirting. Perhaps the concession owners could let the boys sit free and have one drink or even a meal free. The presence of attractive boys would undoubtedly boost the numbers of gay customers, particularly if the boys were encouraged to wear brief speedos.
  21. Im real sad reading these accounts of the present state of Dongtan Beach. The shade trees slashed down, the water full of jellyfish and trash. The umbrellas in a poor state, the fat lady at the toilet gone. And worst of all no cute boys to be seen just old fat females. How has it come to this ?. I remember the heyday of the Gay Beach. Warm inviting water, golden sand and sparkling sea, happy waiters at the concessions. Many vendors selling a galaxy of beautiful and useful objects. Ice cream and donuts. Dodgy DVD's, Seafood. No females or families. Just happy farangs surrounded by flocks of sexy Thai boys in tiny speedos. Oh if those days could return !.
  22. I suppose a small charge from the hotel for extra towels is in order when bringing back two boys to your room or needing another having used the ones provided earlier in the day. I always tip the chambermaids generously partly with this in mind. In fact when i stayed at the Ambiance they once anticipated this by providing three sets having seen me with one boy in the early afternoon and another in the evening, the day before.
  23. I have never done that i.e. Walked in a bar / gogo and offed a boy without buying a drink. Although i have walked in and quickly decided that the boys on offer do not meet my specification and exited.
  24. Kissing is also important to me and I try a choose boys who do this well. When taking a boy from a bar or gogo I always test him by a little tongue kissing to see how he responds. From GR its more difficult as asking questions by text is slow and over the telephone there can be misunderstandings, and of course few boys with answer in the negative. Sometimes i get the boy to join me on the beach and thereby am able to assess him as i do in a bar. Despite the precautions there is always the risk of a dud and disapointment.
  25. RUK69. Is there any reason why you dont stay at a gay hotel ?. There are as you probably know a number of them where gay guests are at least in the majority with a wide range of standards and prices. There are of course several upmarket hotels who levy a joiners fee equally for boys or ladies, but i have not heard of discrimination towards the former.
