I once went to Khao Takiap during my only visit to Hua Hin. The monkeys were very aggressive and would jump all over visitors in search of food which is not very pleasant. Back in Pattaya I remember a colony of them on one of the Koh Larn beaches. You would think that in view of the number of gays in Pattaya there would be more bathhouses, but i suppose it's easier to find sex partners by paying boys from the numerous bars and gogos. For me a visit to Samsuck adds spice to my holiday experience even though sometimes I leave having only had a feel of a couple of cocks in the maze. Chatting to other guys from across the world can be pleasant as usually I'm in Pattaya on my own.
-
Yes the action at the Samsuck does vary from night to night and from month to month. It's surprising that the place is not better known by gays who visit Pattaya. I've talked to several farang sex tourists who were unaware of its existence. I suppose that's partly due to its location half way from Pattaya to Jomtien down a long side Soi at a distance from the other venues BT Sunee and the Complex. I've stayed in the guesthouse a couple of times. The rooms are good and quiet but of course not convenient when you have offed boys from the bars.

Trip Report - 2 nights in Bangkok March 2017
Travellerdave replied to Nasherich's topic in Gay Thailand
Tips following an off are a big part of a boys potential earnings and this will very greatly. Attractive twinky boys can be offed most nights and gays like me sometimes go early to bars like Cupidol to secure their services. However there are other incomes such as tips for sitting with bar customers and a minority can receive remittances from farangs with whom they have had a relationship. I did this eight years ago when I stayed in Pattaya for 10 weeks and had a boy staying with me in an apartment for 5 weeks at the end and planned to return shortly afterwards. He said he would remain at his Isaan home on my sending him money via Western Union, which I did in the shape of two 15000 baht payments. He probably stayed in Pats working in the bars and I wasn't able to get back for over a year so the relationship lapsed. Ridiculous really as he was 20 and I was considerably older. But my point is that I wonder how many boys have daddy's like I was. -
At the Samsuck they provide a small sachet of lube and a condom in your locker. These I place in my speedos or thong which I wear rather than walk about with the towel round my waist. Unfortunately with all the touching and feeling which occurs upstairs in the dark rooms both or one of the items can go missing, which is a problem when I get into a cubicle with someone. These days I won't fuck bareback, so if he his without them also, the action is confided to oral etc.
-
A daddy does not necessarily mean a mug. In Thai gay circles I thought it catorises an older guy with a younger boyfriend. Many money boys in are looking for a farang daddy rather than working in the bars and gogo's. I've been a daddy several times.

Whilst I don't usually bother with massages, instead like boys long time in my bed I have in the past had good experiences at the QM (Question Mark). They have massage rooms assessed I recall via one with a table tennis table !. When I stayed in Pattaya I sometimes had a massage there after an afternoon on Dongtan Beach, where the sea air turns me horny. I would walk through the Complex en route to catch a baht bus at about 6pm, but if a boy took my eye at the QM I would enquire about a massage whilst having a coffee. Two years ago I had one on three consecutive days when boy gave me a great experiences. He was a skilfull top.

Twink update needed for Pattaya and Bangkok
Travellerdave replied to abidismaili's topic in Gay Thailand
I've just spent three weeks in Pattaya and enjoyed a number of twinks, sourced from bars and planet Romeo. The bar scene in the Jomtien Complex should not be neglected, where there are twinks to be had a plenty in the open bars. The scene comes alive at about 8 pm when you can select a seat and perhaps invite a boy to sit with you to assess his potential. However this usually means staying in the Complex, and this option is explored elsewhere on the forum. Romeo usually has a few femboys available and cheap membership allows filtering to meet this criteria. -
Further drop in the value of the British Pound
Travellerdave replied to Travellerdave's topic in Gay Thailand
In the 15 years I've been coming to Pattaya I've heard hundreds of these buffalo stories, yet none of my many boyfriends or offs over these years have tried to extract money from me on the strength of deceased buffalo. I feel rather deprived !. Yes everyone who was lucky enough to be in LOS during that golden era (2001 to 2005 ?) when the pound was 70+ remembers the incredible value to be had. I think I paid as little as 800 baht for a nice hotel and once during my second trip I enjoyed a night with a street boy paying 500 baht I.e. About £8 !. -
I'm always interested in the life of boys I off from Pattaya gay bars and in particular what experience they have had back in their Isaan homes of the activities we gay sex tourists pay them for I.e. Kissing, sucking, oral, and anal. I hardly ever have been able to extract this information. I suspect in most cases their training and knowledge comes from talking to their fellow workers. Typically a boy would have been recruited from the village by a returning boy who would have lured him with talk of money and an easy life. Probably we all have experienced offing a newly arrived boy who turns out to be very nervous when he gets into your bed draped in a towel that you have difficulty removing. I like to think I act sympathetically in this situation and give a little training in gay sex.

I would not bother with a bow job if a condom was required. I suppose there is a small risk of vd but I'm prepared to accept this. The 69 position is a regular event for me when in Pats. I always rinse with mouthwash. On the other hand nowI never do anal bareback. During my first could of trips 14 years ago I did skate on thin ice with quite a few boys I picked up in Sunee and BT.

Further drop in the value of the British Pound
Travellerdave replied to Travellerdave's topic in Gay Thailand
Wandering about Pattaya as I do, I see many 60+ farangs and a good proportion of them are Brit expats. No doubt the latter are living on pensions paid in pounds plus maybe capital raised from selling houses in the UK. The expectation would have been a much more favourable exchange rate, maybe the 70=£1 applying in years 2002/2003. I think the minimum required to maintain a reasonable standard of living in Pattaya would be about 70,000 baht per month which equates to £1620 for Brits. This is way above the average state 65+ pension (mine is £1250 which is just about as high as you can get , having been in SERPS and have paid to get it enhanced). The 70000 would not allow for much entertainment or boyfriend/girlfriend. The risk of medical problems must weigh heavily for the 65+ as insurance is virtually impossible or hugely costly for them to obtain. Cost of sitting on Dongtan Beach for a few hours yesterday was 120 baht including a cup of tea. Mind you I prefer those padded recliners which are taking over from the canvas chairs. No eye candy in sight unfortunately. No doubt many brexit voters are regretting their choice when they take a foreign holiday or fill up the car. The financial world has given its verdict and dumped the pound. -
I noticed today that £1 had dropped in value below 43 baht. This must start having an impact on visitors and especially expats from Britain. Not so long ago before the brexit vote, I was getting more than 50 and when I first discovered Pattaya it was frequently more than 70. Quite a few common items seem now more expensive in Thailand than in the UK. There is no doubt that it's no longer the inexpensive holiday destination it once was. Boys expectations seem to have increased. I recollect paying about 1000 baht for a boy's services for 24 hours costing me 14 GBP in 2003, whereas now you are probably looking at 2000 costing 48 GBP. A gay friend of mine has now discounted Thailand in favour of European resorts for holidays saying they are less expensive when taking into account air ticket costs. I think the euro has weakened against the baht also but nothing like the drop experienced by the GBP. The US dollar has been fairly strong and seems to move in tandem with the baht. Sorry about this rant - but I had to get it off my chest

Over 14 years I've only had threesomes four times. Somehow they never seemed particularly enjoyable and needed double the tip and off fee. During my first visit with a gay friend and lover from home, we had four in bed fun with two Sunee gogo boys. That was memorable !. I would recommend a visit to the Sansuck Sauna in Pattaya for different experiences.

The Posiedon is excellent. The staff and the owner, who is German, are very welcoming and helpful. It's relatively quiet at night due to it being slightly away from the noisy bars. There are no female employees. I think 99% gay. The restaurant is one of the best in Jomtien.

As regards tips or sexual services to boys in Jomtien I've paid the following so far : Firstly a boy from a Complex bar I mention further back in this thread. I paid him 1300 for about 2 hours in my bed. A good top but no English skills. Of course there was the off fee and a couple of boy drinks. Next a boy contacted on GR at 1pm. Took him a while to arrive as he lived and worked (gogo) in Sunee. He was totally unfamiliar with Jomtien and had to walk around the complex looking for me, after he arrived via motorbike. Very twinky and 19. I topped him to completion and was very happy about that. I asked him to go into the hotel pool with me for an extra tip, but he seemed anxious to go. I gave him 1400. No off fee, no drinks, good value. Lastly a boy from a bar in the Complex. Midnight to 6.30 am. I wanted to go jogging so asked him to go, which he seemed happy about. Paid him 1800. Perhaps a little too much. As regards tips in the bars. I would give 100 to 200 to a boy with good English conversation, plus drinks, but I have yet to find him. In my limited experience English skills seem rather limited with Jomtien boys. I'm rather bored with the standard "what your name" " where you come from" "how long you stay "

Went to Cupidol last night but was not impressed with the dress code. All boys dancing in jeans !. Also most boys not twinky enough for my taste. Gogo was very busy though.
-
I've offed two boys so far. I'm not sure about the off fees as I paid a total bin including a number of drinks. I would guess 300 baht. There is no doubt Jomtien is cheaper than Boystown. The expectations of the boys are lower as far as tips are concerned.

Winner Boys in Sunee Plaza opening February 18th
Travellerdave replied to williewillie's topic in Gay Pattaya
I've been in Winner Boys tonight at about 10.30 pm. I was quite impressed by the boys dressed in white tight briefs, braces and bow ties, and more impressed by the low drinks prices. I only paid 60 baht for a soda - contrast that with the 150 I was charged in Cupidol for a coke. The place had a fair number of customers and I hope it succeeds. The rest of Sunee seemed very quiet. -
I'm in Jomtien now, staying at the Posiedon in the ComPlex. I didn't arrive from the airport till about 2am but a few of the bars were still Going strong. I dumped my bag and went out supposedly for one beer just to unwind but inevitably I found myself sitting with a nice looking boy contemplating an off. There was not much of a conversation as his English as nearly zero. He was 24 and had just started working in the bar. I took him for a short time as a good nights sleep was my number 1 priority. I won't take him again despite a good performance in bed particularly with his kissing skills. I would prefer a rather more sophisticated boy with boyfriend potential. The Posiedon has a rather interesting tiny swimming pool where you can swim against a pumped flow of water current.
-
I was in Soi Buakhow today and saw the baht buses running. I was at the Tony Gym trying to ward off the effects of a few beers last night in the Jomtien Complex. There was a big thunderstorm at about 2pm causing the usual flooded streets.

I was not aware that there is such a thing as a pink tax in Pattaya and that I've been paying more for my accommodation than str visitors - is this actually true ?. In "gay" hotels in BT, Jomtien Complex and Sunee you occasionally see str couples including ladies which is OK by me, but I want to avoid contact with drunken homophobic men, especially when I'm with my young boyfriends. Also I like the opportunity of mixing with other gays from different parts of the wotld in the civilised atmosphere normally found in gay environments.
-
I've made a reservation at Posiedon for a few nights. I will see how it goes. The East Suites seemed to be fairly full for the period of my trip.
-
I Think few hotels make a charge for joiners or refuse to accept them. No doubt a few in the upper expense category do this. For some years I have only stayed at hotels known to be predominately gay. My motive for this is to avoid potential homophobia which could occur in places frequented by groups of ignorant str guys which are found in large numbers in Pattaya. I like many gay sex tourists bring back boys to my room who are much younger than my advanced age and would hate passing though the hotel lobby with them. For my trip starting next week I'm staying for the first time in the Jomtien Complex at least for my first few days.

Umm - thanks Moses. Perhaps Posiedon would be a better choice. It's definitely 100% gay.
