Great report Foolish particularly as regards your visits to Toyboys and Koh Larn. I always incorporate a trip to the island during my visits to Pattaya, choosing to go when I have acquired an attractive “boyfriend”, buying him some sexy speedos, and when the weather is good. I like Nual beach in the south with its tribe of monkeys, but beware of sharp coral when going into the water, which can give you a souvenir of a nasty cut on the feet. Renting a motor bike is a great way to see the island provided that you have the confidence and experience of bikes. Can be a great day at low cost in contrast to a visit to Toyboys with its rip-off drink prices, although they do have some of the hottest boys.

About 10 years ago I became friendly with another gay Brit who had developed a considerable ability in verbal and written Thai language including its dialects in Isaan and Cambodia. This ability he often did not reveal to Thai people including during his interactions with bar boys. Whilst I sat with him in bars enjoying drinks he amused me sometimes by telling me what the boys were saying about us and generally. We kept in touch but his visits to Pattaya ceased after he started an immigration advisory business back home in England.

Love their gold briefs and the outline of their delicious cocks

Interesting thread. I’ve never given kissing much thought, as opposed to anal and oral intercourse. But on reflection of my latest boy orientated trip to Pattaya I realise that I did kiss them in bed during offs and also whilst visiting gay bars. At the Complex looking for boys to off I usually moved from attempts at conversation towards kissing which on one occasion was refused, but more frequently the kiss was welcomed by boys, encouraging me to slide my tongue in their mouths, which I found erotic, leading to the boy being either offed or being given an advanced tip. I would however agree with spoon that rimming is even more intimate.

Since Covid I’ve stayed at the Zing Resort maybe 6 times as it’s now become my hotel of choice whilst in Pattaya, being gay friendly and of course close to the Complex bars. My overnight boy companions vary, sometimes “boyfriends” I have with me for several days, one night offed boys, rarely two of the latter, and at the other extreme a solitary overnight. i rather like the zing hotel buffet and usually invite the “boyfriend type” to eat with me. Seated on the terrace occasionally you encounter a variety of customers, sometimes others with boys, sat alone, in groups or on one recent occasion an Aussie with an overnight girl. Reactions to me and my boy vary from complete indifference, muttered “morning” to, and in the case of a guy with boy, asking to share a table and chat when it was busy. I’ve never had an adverse reaction - it’s Pattaya after all ! Generally with overnight boys you get those who want to leave plus tip at the earliest opportunity and those who are hard to get rid off even when cleaners want to do their work, which is difficult when confronted with a naked boy in the bed.

Yes it’s definitely gay friendly like all the hotels in the Complex. I’ve stayed there a number of times and enjoyed sitting round the outdoor pool accompanied by boyfriends. Gays, like myself, seem to co-exist amongst the straights there without problems. There is a variety of room types and the breakfast restaurent is rather good. The Ganymede gay sauna is history.

Been going to Pattaya for more than 20 years after being advised during a casual conversation in a pub back home. ive tried Bkk but never really got into the groove. Pattaya’s a drug from which you cannot get a cure. I’ve always enjoyed the gay scene there and of course the boys.

Year 2002 - all I owned technology wise was a pc and I couldn’t take that large heavy object to Thailand during my boy orientated trips. Internet cafes seemed to emerge around 2005 and soon every Soi had them. I don’t remember the DreadedNed website, what was that all about ?. Talking to Pattaya gay old timers I would say that the period 1998 to about 2004 was the golden age for gay travel to Thailand.

The striking new entrance to the Complex will help to attract newly arrived gay or bisexual visitors to Jomtien who are perhaps not initially aware of the attractions for them within. That was my situation 22 years ago (pre social media) when I arrived in Pattaya for the first time with a gay friend and didn’t know where to go. The new logo and carpet makes it obvious.

Good advice from Vinapu, as usual. Over the years it’s always got me frustrated when I have entered a Gogo and see a hot boy on the stage. But by the time I have gone through the ritual of ordering my drink, another customer has motioned him over and has proceeded to enjoy the boy’s charms. Does the guy know that I have claimed the boy in my horny mind !. Eventually I call over a substitute and almost immediately my rival pays his bin, tips the boy and departs, after which the boy disappears back stage or wherever.

Going back to my original post above about boy parading and lift sharing, I have tried to recall an instance of the latter during my one week stay at the Classroom, which was six months ago, since when I have made another trip to pattaya. After a couple of days there I realised that most of the other guests were not gay - only one I chatted too whilst having a snack in the bar was, and he didn’t have the same focus as myself - ie boys. it was when I had offed a twink from the Complex and had returned with him in tow entering by the side door. It took a couple of minutes for the lift to appear by which time another guest entered with a rather attractive girl who clattered along in her high heels towards the two of us. The four of us got into the lift. My boy and the girl just stared at each other, but the guy just said “good hotel” to which I replied “suits me”. Just a tiny interaction between two Pattaya sex tourists, co-existing with different orientations.

I had a week staying at the Classroom. I’m not sure if it had a large or small balcony cos I didn’t use it, but I suppose they would be useful for smokers. The side door is recommended when bringing a boy back, because parading them via the main entrance through the bar, where customers seem to be elderly expats is not a good idea. It’s not what you would call a gay hotel so sharing (plus boy) the lift, with str guests (plus girlfriends) was not something I enjoyed. But having said that, I didn’t have any real problems and the place didn’t suffer, surprisingly, from late night noise.

Yes Buakhow is an interesting area, but not for gays at 12 am walking about with a young looking but 18+ boyfriend. i once stayed there a few years ago and had boys overnight. Lots of stares etc from other guests.

Well it’s not a problem that I have a solution for. My days of forming long term relationships with young Asian guys are long gone, in fact since 2017. Three days with the same boy is my max.
-
In the past, but not now, I have had longer term boyfriends , who were 20 or even 30 years younger than myself. Amongst the advantages for me was a disadvantage in that they had a different body “clock”. After about midnight whilst I needed to get to my sleep they were active. : on their phones, getting out of bed, wanting to talk, etc etc. In the morning between 8 and 10, they were dead to the world, whereas I was demanding sex. This incompatibility was a major factor in the inevitable demise of the relationships.

I’ve never stayed at the Venue because downstairs it’s a Cabaret (rather a good one) and faces the main gay bar zone, so likely to experience noise in the rooms Posiedon - I’ve stayed there twice. It’s 100% gay with a well regarded restaurent. Not cheap Sansuck Sauna is situated maybe a mile from the Jomtien Complex down a side Soi. I’ve not stayed there since before Covid. Your own transport could be considered essential (motor bike for me), but of course very convenient if you intend to use the associated gay spa. I loved the dark cruising maze.

Keith - the Mozambique guy I had for 3 nights and two days cost me around 10,000. This included meals and drinks and also I bought him speedos to wear on the beach. So I don’t think that’s a premium price although bearing in mind I made contact on Grindr. He was versatile and served me both ways. On reflection I should have kept him longer as I enjoyed him more than the twinks I later acquired from the Jomtien Complex.

There are currently a number of money boys from Mozambique in Pattaya serving the gay community and gay tourists, like me, there. They have dark brown skin not black and have slim attractive bodies, but their hair is more African .

Yes Pattaya is probably the ladyboy capital of the world with a number of ladyboy bars and many of the many massages employ them, not to mention seeing them on the streets. Whilst being aware of this situation I have definitely never been tempted to try sex with them although I have talked to fellow gays and men claiming to be str who have (bisexual ? !!). The thought of being in bed or having a massage with a guy with breasts really appals me. I think that sex with a female would be less difficult. I’m gay and go to Thailand with the main objective being Asian boys.

I had an Africa boy (in fact he was a 20 year old student from Mozambique) for three days/nights during my last visit to Pattaya. I acquired him from Grindr and my outlay all told was about 10,000. This included meals, drinks and speedos to wear with me on the gay beach. Slim brown sexy body. He was mostly top with me

My first two visits to Pattaya were in 2001 when I was accompanied by a gay friend from home who like me had never been before. The trips were of relatively short duration, 2 or 3 weeks and were nearly 100% boy orientated so I don’t remember any periods we were bored or at a loose end. Later trips l travelled there on my own and was able to stay for much longer, around two months, even one of ten weeks. Compared with the shorter ones my “pace” was much calmer residing in condo apartments including periods.with “boyfriends” , with whom I did some limited travelling within Thailand. I did meet other long term visitors, both str and gay, during my keep fit activities (gym, running and cycling). I can’t say that I ever felt lonely.

Yes during the tv coverage of the Paris swimming and diving events has me glued to the screen, especially of course the male events. Competitors with beautiful toned bodies and for diving I love the brief sexy speedo type briefs. The former is the product of endless hours of dedicated training in the pool and in the gym from a young age.

Mobile Foreign Currency Exchange Service Unveiled in Pattaya
Travellerdave replied to reader's topic in Gay Pattaya
No shortage of TT exchanges in Pattaya - there seems to be one along the main tourist roads every hundred yards or so. -
The introduction of the 60 day visa exemption should substantially reduce the visa run traffic and also the need for tourists wanting to stay a couple of months to apply for the 2 month tourist visa, which I used to do for my longer stays. This should increase the number of gay tourists who are currently much less in evidence compared with times gone by.

Love that video !. Hot Thai guys parading in tiny speedo-like briefs. Most use their hands to stroke their bodies, knowing what turns on gays like myself. Wish I had been in the audience - I would have tried to flirt (without success no doubt)
