May be they do good work, but I prefer opposite side of the Soi (Come In or Yaya) coz Corner don't looks cozy...
-
No. Main difference btw visa and extemp is: - when issue visa: officer at border can do or can don't it by his own reasons and can ask for proof like back way tickets etc... - when make extempt: officer at border must do it if you are from one of listed countries and you aren't in "black list/stop list"
-
even more pedantic proof: http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=visa And even more: + 56 countries which have agreements with Thailand: http://www.mfa.go.th/web/2482.php?id=2495

Yes, for now it sure should be like that coz in Thailand even in places where 3G exist they use different version of 3G which is based on GSM, but not on CDMA like in USA...
-
I forgot about BoysTown few years ago - there are nothing to do coz business in this area in generally speaking now just "uses" famous of this place and not adds any value in... Seems they think "area is famous so we can sit and earn money"... My directions in Pattaya for past 3 years are targeted to Sunee coz business there works hard to make this place more attractive and they have success on this way. I left BoysTown to japanese and chinnese hetero tourist groups. IMHO: BoysTown isn't place for relaxations anymore - it is zoo or amusement pak for straight tourists and I don't want to be "animal" or "clown" for shots of their cameras...
-
It depends on your nationality and\or on your first visa...
-
Yes they have idea step over 3G directly to 4G, coz 3G is old enough and 4G is much more faster (up to 1000Mbit/s in comp. up to 56 Mbit/s) and modern...
-
They do not cover first 500 Baht per accident, as well you should use your money first and clime money back in 30 days. Cost of insurance is 315 Baht for international travels "up to 10 days"

More than 24 hours no one new message. "No contest" = "No interest"? Or "No news - is best news"
-
BTW: I forgot to tell - there aren't 6 siblings at scene: there are only Sam Tsui and his friend (left).

Yes, this is possible to get to Phnom Penh and then from PP to SR. But only travel by bus from PP to SR takes up to 5 hours. Travel by boat up to 8 hours (depends on season), so it isn't possible to finish this travel in 1 day coz boats use only daylight time. This situation with buses and boats allow Bangkok Air keep prices on high level. In fact there are more option: for example JetAir offer one way trip Bangkok - Singapore - Phnom Penh - Siem Reap for only 179$, but this trip lasts up to 40 hours (depends on waiting for next flight in Singapore (5 or 19 hours).
-
No chance for flight to be cheaper coz of monopoly of Bangkok Air. If you travel alone then price for travel by car anyway will be cheaper, and if you travel 2 or 3 persons - then car's price will be 3-4-5 times cheaper (depends on how long time in advance you buy tickets). Time is almost the same with air\car: if count time to reach airport, time for procedures of check-in and security, waiting for boarding, flight, time in airport in Siem Reap (luggage, visa) and time from airport to hotel.
-
Back way is cheaper: there are taxi stall directly after thai customs on the way back with fixed prices: 1900 Baht to any place in BKK and 2200 Baht to Pattaya per car, as well from Siem Reap I use angkocars.com - way back cost only 30$/car coz at this direction driver don't pays bribes (15$ per car with falang) to police of Poipet

For past 10 years professional russian traveler Fiodor Konukhov had 3 tries to cross Bering Straits on ski... All 3 were unsuccessful: too warm weather - no ice in center of straits

It is question for Gay Cambodia section For first visit you need 3 full days (not count day of arriving and day of departure). 1 day. Angkor Wat + temples of "small circle": start from hotel about 8-00 - to be in AW before big groups of tourists and visit temples not in crowded time (all time one step in front of main mass of tourists). Finish about 16-00, then relax in pool of hotel and after sunset visit downtown with night markets, Pub street, foot massage (not by fish, but real massage) 2 day. Start from hotel at 8-00 and visit to Banteay Srei - one only "temple for womans" in Angkor are with fantastic carving (about 30 km from SR), on the way back to visit Land Mine Museum and then temples of "big circles", finish about 18-00 and relax in pool, then visit "folk show - Aspara dances" 3 day. Sunrise in Angkor (start about 5:30), breakfast, then visit Rolous group of temples - place where Khmer civilization starts their mighty 400 years before Angkor Wat (50 km form SR), then lunch and at 15:00 start to Tonle Sap lake. By the way to visit temples and expect to be at lake at 17:00, visit floating village but not spend time in restaurants there and ask captain to go at open lake (water) behind village and watch sunset at lake till sky become violet - there are IMHO the best sunset in South East Asia at this lake. In fact with this schedule you will miss few more main sites in Angkor area, but will have reason to visit Siem Reap one more time I wrote few time "my way to get to Siem Reap" at this forum already, but can repeat From Pattaya and Bangkok you can reach Siem Reap by ground via Aranyapraphet-Poipet border crossing. I use taxi (2300-2500 baht from BKK, 3 hours / 2500-2700 baht from Pattaya, 4 hours) to Aranyapraphet. Target - to be at border before crowded time - before noon, when buses and vans from Khaosan Road start to arrive. Before 12:00 there are almost no queue at border. Also I suggest to obtain Cambodian visa in advance via Internet (e-visa). At Cambodian side I use car service from angkorcars.com - their driver wait me with plate with my name directly near the door of Cambodian immigration office. Way to Siem Reap is about 90-120 min/130 km. (45$ per car)

What is Best Way to Change Money When Leaving Gay Thailand?
Moses replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
rates pro and contra: - exchange points in Pattaya's street - best rates worst safety (I mean big amounts) - exchanges in banks in Thailand - less rates best safety - exchange in airport - worst rates in Thailand (coz their target are tourist who want to change back some small amount and don't care about rates) good safety - exchange abroad of Thailand - even worser than in airport coz they add wire transfer cost into exchange rates or cost of keeping banknotes of rare currency... -
yes, I do the same when it is possible... but screen of my NEC has 1600px height...

travelerjim, thank you for your words, but I have no time for moderation. As well job of moderator - is job based on communication with users: I know it for sure from experience of moderation of forum with 120000 users and 15K-25K posts per day. It isn't just one-click-delete-button-job. I can't moderate this forum coz of limits in my English skills: I don't want to be dog which "understand everything but can't says even one word". Scooby, but I can support forum with some coding, design, web-marketing, advice in SE optimization and some other stuff like that - all my business is based in web, I'm owner of 90+ websites and have some experiences.
-
Hi there! I can't be moderator cuz not I'm not native to English. But can draw a little bit. Am tired from blinking of banners which seems not work on right way. Please feel free to use this graphic work P.S. hope you can cut it 120x120 by yourself

Hm... it's don't sounds as pretty as "Is very knowledgeable about gay scene" We are in waiting of your report after travel

Since I have friends in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam now - I have no reasons to use PG service anymore in thus countries, as well Internet give me opportunity to deal directly with suppliers of services with more adorable prices... there are no exclusive offers from PD for thus countries which I can't get by myself just with few clicks... But for some areas like Myanmar or Tibet I will contact agents or operators - coz their help in thus areas can really be usable.

I'm wonder: if Thai baht become stronger: why not keep some money in baht in Thai bank?
-
Thank you! I will try coffee there in 3 weeks then will share here my experience.

Fot Thailand direct deal with hotels bring me best prices, for Cambodia I use angkorhotelsguide.com - they have up to 45% discounts from gay or gay-friendly hotels in Siem Reap, for rest asian countries I use agoda.com, for Europe and Middle East - booking.com
