  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackhole_exploit_kit Patch your OS and your browser if you haven't. Assuming that you really got hit by this and not one of those annoying ads that suggest that you are under threat, so should immediately shell out money to them....
  2. Do tell us what you think of Django. I have hesitated to see it in the theatres because I can only take so much gore, and this one apparently is VERY gorey.
  3. I'm just shocked at the discourtesy of Mr. Stahl's fellow customers. Clearly Mr. Stahl had injured himself. If I had been there, I would have offered to kiss it all better, or at the very less offer a soothing massage. What is the world coming to when you can't count on your fellow man to help you in your time of need? In the christmas season too!
  4. I was so disappointed earlier in the year when I was there that the police had closed it and it didn't reopen until after I'd come home.
  5. If you hit the web site it's clear (at least to me) that it's some artist concept and they aren't priests.
  6. Exactly. If you think somebody is using child prostitutes, wouldn't you want them to advertise in one convenient location where you could catch them?
  7. I think this is so stupid. All you will do is move this stuff off-shore, or underground. Suppressing the ads is a really dumb way of trying to do something about that.
  8. And another one: http://www.lgbtqnation.com/2012/12/pioneering-aids-activist-spencer-cox-dies-of-hiv-related-complications/ I was involved only in a small way with ACTUP, but I had enormous respect for them because they transformed the way that our medical establishment brings new drugs to market and made them all sit up and answer the sick and dying. Dance among the stars, Spencer. I'm with you on Jesse Helms. I wish there were a hell just so he could burn in it.
  9. Josh Weston has died of HIV related complications according to the gay porn blog. http://thesword.com/rip-gay-porn-star-josh-weston.html Even with all the advances we've made, this evil virus still kills.
  10. I reloaded the site and it came up, thanks.
  11. Ok, I can see the postings from the new content navigation on the right, but when I go to the forum listings, I can't find the forum. Am I missing something?
  12. When I'm looking for old school porn, I visit: www.nifty.org www.asstr.org For the latter, you can search for stories using story codes. MM is for male-male. If you visit the site map, you can find details of the various story codes.
  13. I think his music is boooring. And he's not really any cuter than any other twink. Why lust after him when you can have something as good or better?
  14. I mentioned that I was nearly at the Clackamas Town Center when I heard there was a shooter there. Well, today I was downtown Portland for a lunch when I arrived at the scene of a jumper moments after it happened. (the police naturally aren't assuming it's a jumper yet, but I know the garage in question, and you wouldn't fall off it naturally....) http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2012/12/portland_police_investigating_33.html#incart_river_default I was parking in the Garage the man jumped from and drive by to see a body face down in the road. I must have arrived just moments after it happened. All this death and mayhem is disturbing.... It does make me reflect up on life, and how precious it is. And while I may be headed for the unemployment line, I'm overall a very lucky guy....
  15. Why can't one of these crazies every go mow down these folks and do us all a favor? If I were on the Jury of that trial I'd vote for jury nullification.
  16. Why? If you're going to do this and write about it, I'd like to know why you're doing it and what you think it accomplishes? Does it arouse you? Can you really not play with yourself for 3 days straight? What gives?
  17. This is one of the shows we really miss after cutting off cable, since it isn't on Hulu. We just watched the end of season 2 which was great, but are going to have a fair wait before season 3 ends up on netflix. It really does frustrate me that the media companies mostly haven't figured out how to make their content available in a reasonable way. You either have to pay through the nose to a cable company and watch endless commercials, or you have to buy a DVD at crazy prices. Even Itunes tends to charge a couple of buck an episode, which for something I'm going to watch once is ridiculous I think. At least I'm glad that Redbox seems to have a model that works. We can rent a movie at the 7-11 up the street from us for $1.50. We stopped getting DVDs from netflix because they stopped getting current movies and are mostly just milking the back catalog. A tangent to the walking dead, but one of my pet peeves and not being able to watch season 3 is just reminds me!
  18. It's tradition to play strip poker with a dreidel on Hanukkah? Ok, I guess.
  19. I've never been to Brazil (yet!), so can't really speak to it from personal experience, but according to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Catholicism_in_Brazil ~65% of Brazilians are Roman Catholic. Given the perverse and poisonous teaching of the Catholics about gays, it doesn't surprise me that there's this hate bouncing around. I'd also note that as reported in this article: http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=homophobes-might-be-hidden-homosexuals that there is evidence homophobia is correlated with latent homosexual desire. So if you think homosexuals are evil or damned, and you're feeling it a bit yourself, it might wind you up into trying to externalize your struggle by attacking somebody else. Armchair psychology, but that's my take.
  20. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate Our murder rate is that of a third world nation... I believe the access to guns here is a big part of that.
  21. The reality is that gun control advocates lose elections. all. the. time. At some point, perhaps even now, the feelings in this country may shift, but I don't blame anybody in washington for not wanting to pick this fight.
  22. Good for him. Sure, he's an attention-whore, but he tries to be entertaining, and if people like it, that's fine. I'd much rather someone like him get attention than Paris Hilton. I generally loathe the fame seeking talentless media hounds, but at least he's cute and one of us. If I never, ever, ever heard another word about the kardashians or paris hilton it would just be... Super!
  23. 3 people, including supposedly the shooter, have died after a shooting this afternoon at Clackamas Town Center Mall. I was driving to that very mall to walk (given the rain here, it's a good place to get a bit of exercise out of the wet.) when the shooting happened. A little creepy to realize that if I hadn't been distracted and running late I might have been there when it happened. it also reminds me what mixed feelings I have about gun control. Their ability to mete out mass death means that crazies will keep being able to do this. But I do believe that an armed citizenry is part of what ensures our government doesn't become a dictatorship, though I think that may just be me drinking the koolaid!
  24. Deck the halls with naked Mario. Fa-la-la Fa-la-la Ah Ah Aaaah!
  25. Fortunately, I wasn't much of a sun worshipper, so that wasn't ever my issue, though I've had enough sun burns in my time even so. I was once snorkeling in Mexico and lost track of time I was so entralled. I ended up with a second degree sun burn! Blisters all over my skin. Didn't even know it was possible, but boy that's something that I never ever did again!
