  1. It may be because I've just returned from Thailand and am, bluntly, fed-up....that I can sympathise with visitors who have disappointments there; we all do, whether it be an unsuccessful "off" or, in my case, a poor meal. Very few of those, by the way! However, for someone contemplating a grey, chilly day in London, thousands of miles away from his loved-one I must encourage adopting the Buddhist principle of (as P tells me, ad nauseam) "thinking good." It is true that, the older I get, the harder it is to look on the bright side but, for heaven's sake, the vast majority of guys on the scene whom we meet are friendly, reasonable in their demands. And fun. That was my experience, anyway. For me, just to wander through the JC before bedtime (embarrassingly early in my case) enjoying the cheerful smiles, the enticing offers- cheerful and not persistent when refused- and the sheer joyfulness (at their best) of the guys is something I treasure. And even more so in retrospect. I just like being smiled at! Is there anywhere else in the world where such pleasures are available so cheaply and so safely? and when the assignation isn't so good, it is so easy to say, "Mai pen rai; tomorrow's will be better". And it will be.

  2. My spies from M15, KGB and CIA are reporting that Atlas is about to be opened , quite possible this weekend and it looks it will have go-go, not gym themed , bar format. Hiring manager is definitely ' in the know" guy so it may be worth visiting and patronizing.

  3. I think that it is more about setting limits and compartmentalizing your life. You give money for a service of some kind. They aren’t seeing you for free. Also, in your home country, I don’t think that you would socialize with guys that you are paying. The paid guys and your regular friends would probably be two social circles that do not mix. Since you are now living in Thailand, even if only part of the year, I would treat it similar to how you would have behaved in your home country. I have not been to Pattaya, yet. However, I think that living away from the scene would be a better idea than living too close. That way, you don’t have to walk past the massage shops and bars when doing your daily errands. It isn’t about being bitter or jaded. Just be clear in your own mind that you don’t give money away for free. That is just the way it is. No need to get angry or worked up or guilty or anxious, etc. That is just the way that it is.

  4. From ESPN / MSN Suphanat Mueanta has always been destined for big things -- from the time he became the youngest player to both debut and then score in Thai League 1 at the age of 15. A year later, in 2019, he would set a similar record on the continental stage - becoming the AFC Champions League's youngest scorer at just 16 years and eight months. Many a prodigious talent has however failed in living up to their full potential. That will not be the case with Suphanat. Still only 22, the fleet-footed attacker recently returned to Buriram United after a loan stint in Europe with OH Leuven. The fact that he did not make a real breakthrough might led some to suggest it was a failed spell but the exposure he received would have been invaluable, especially considering he did make 14 appearances in the Belgian Pro League. It will be intriguing to see what the future holds for Suphanat, who should be aiming to continue developing at a higher level than in Thailand. Following in the footsteps of older brother Supachok Sarachat -- who has spent the last two and a half years with Consadole Sapporo -- and venturing to Japan's J1 League seems a logical move. In the present, though, his focus is firmly fixed on helping Thailand win a record-extending 8th ASEAN Championship title. And despite his relative youth, his undeniable quality and the fact that he has been around for a while now mean he is even playing the role of main man -- in an talented but inexperienced Thailand outfit missing some notable names in Chanathip Songkrasin, Theerathon Bunmathan and Teerasil Dangda. The added responsibility has hardly fazed him. With victories over Timor-Leste, Malaysia and Singapore, the War Elephants are already guaranted top spot -- and a semifinal berth -- ahead of Friday's Group A finale against Cambodia. Remarkably, Suphanat has been named Player of the Match in each match and already has three goals in as many games. 5. My impression is that eyeglasses & frames are not much cheaper in Thailand than in the US, because of the import duties, I guess. I bought lenses in Phnom Penh from Owndays, a Japanese-based eyeware chain. They have several branches around PP. Good value & satisfactory service.

  9. I was this year in China. Grindr in Beijing was pretty quiet, but I was mostly visiting various tourism attractions. Destination gay club was crazy busy, it was Halloween. English was challenging there. No dates in the capital. Grindr in Shanghai was similar to Taipei and I had sometimes two visitors per day in my hotel near Bund. The most interesting one (but not fun-wise) was one Korean. „So you are from Soul?„ No, I was born in Pyongyang“. 🙂 Hotel did not care about my visitors. One twink insisted I try his cock in the dark corners of the central park, late at night. He was a nice guy, showed me the „family sauna“ (more like an entertainment complex), the male part was very gay with some eye candy. Action starts after 23, however, foreigners cannot stay there for a night. Shanghai parks are very quiet and nice at night, well designed, with water bonds, really romantic. Politically some twinks were concerned about the future, but some in line with the official policy. The wakeup call for the concerned ones was China covid policy, which incarcerated people in their homes (twinks in their uni dormitories) and the first period without the food.. I expected to see lots of handsome guys on the streets and public transportation, but not so much. Ladies were really beautiful. I would say its easy for western tourist, everything is app based. In some supermarkets Chinese can pay for their groceries with face recognition! The amount of cameras and police is a bit like in a dystopian movie.

  12. For me personally, I find it a psychological barrier to pay more than 3000 baht for massage even if tip is included. I still prefer traditional way of paying the shop first and then personally passing tip to massage guy (and seeing his smile!)

All I can say their chicken with cashew nuts beats all I tried in Thailand so far so while there's 1276 reasons for me to book ticket , that dish as a case was removed from the list . Still in Bangkok I have two leads , one from our member reader is Saphan Kwai area and another from Christian PFC in Lad Prao 101 I never tried before so yes , I may change my mind I future - that pursue could be counted as reason # 1277

  18. I'm now travelling outside of Bangkok, so here are some notes from recent times. It's been a little quiet on the guy-front whilst I've been in recovery, so not too much excitement to report on as of yet. I tried out a couple of hotels (that I haven't tried before) in the general area - BnB98 - I found this whilst perusing google maps. It's in the same small alley as Pula Silom and G.O.D nightclub, and I thought I would give it a try since it didn't look too bad and is well-located. This is a strange one though - you can book via the usual channels (booking.com/agoda) however there is no reception (there is a cafe downstairs that is run by the same people as the hotel - I think). Basically they will send you a one-time-code to open the room and inside is a door card to use for the remainder of the trip. Since there is no reception, my passport details were not taken so I am not sure how they get away with not reporting your stay to immigration (as hotels usually do). Anyhow, the prices are reasonable and there are also some cheap rooms with shared bathrooms. I was booked in for 4 nights, but I lasted 1. My issues - the door did not have any secondary lock from the inside. Since there was no reception, the front door is always open so anyone could just go up into the building. It is so noisy - I could deal with it being so close to the BTS, I could deal with the noise of the nightclub nearby, but I couldn't deal with the man singing karaoke at 6am. The bathroom blinds also didn't fully cover the windows so it's possible someone in the building opposite may have gotten an eyeful if they were looking close enough, and there was no room safe. Some of these things I already knew from reading the reviews, but I just couldn't do it! I thought it would be good to be right up in the action, but I think I would prefer to be slightly a distance away. Or a better hotel with more amenities. Silom Convent Garden Hotel - I actually read about this hotel in a report from Vinapu so decided to try. I ended up getting a very good deal on one of their bigger rooms whilst booking direct online, which the receptionist told me was an error on their side and I should not have gotten it for that price, but he had to honour it since I already paid for it. This place is closer to Chong Nonsi but still in walking distance to all the fun places. The place is quite dated and falling apart slightly but is still fine, and what I especially liked about my particular room type is that it had a washing machine, which was very handy. I probably wouldn't stay there again, but it was good to try somewhere on the other side. It is also right next door to Sauna Mania, and a short distance to Arena for those who are interested. Massage - Senso - I visited here hoping to see the guy that I met in January who I had an excellent time with, but he was not to be found and the manager hadn't heard from him either (I ended up messaging him later on Line and he confirmed he wasn't working there anymore and told me where he was now working). Anyhow, as I entered, another guy entered at the same time as me, however he left shortly afterwards. Perhaps he wasn't keen on the lineup? or the price? The pricing structure is new, compared to how it was previously - a 90 minute massage will cost 3300 THB and is an all-in price that includes both the massage and the tip. I forget how much the 60 minute option cost. I asked the manager to tell me who can do both top and bottom (as I like to flip-flop) and he pointed out who was able. The line up was mostly hunks, but there was this one twink guy that I had my eye on so I ended up choosing him. I had only been to Senso twice before, once in January as already mentioned, and once last year, and I briefly wondered if the guy I chose was the same guy as last year but I couldn't quite remember, and for some reason I remember him being taller. Anyhow, we went upstairs where I firstly had a shower and he then had a shower, and started with the massage which tbh wasn't super sensual but it was okay, and then the afters started which was pretty satisfying. We flip-flopped a few times which was lots of fun and afterwards we had a shower together where he helped me wash the massage oil off. It was at this point that I saw his tattoo of his name that I put 2 and 2 together and it was the guy that I had last year. I didn't recognise him, but in all fairness, he didn't recognise me either lol. We later confirmed when I tried to add him as a friend on Line, he was already my friend. I had a satisfying time, but the guy I had in January, I felt I 'connected' with him more. And the sex was way hotter. So that's me updated for now, will write again when I have more to write about!

Few times , although literally few I even succumbed, not as much out of pity but rather because I liked guy and felt myself good about being scammed or rather taking advantage by HIM What seems to be working the best is answer " I only give money when I meet you in my room " , clarity of it goes across well.

  20. I'm comparing it to prices in Australia. The yen has fallen dramatically against the Aussie dollar so I find the cost of living very low in Japan - from food, clothing, local transportation, etc. For dinner I always eat at an Izakaya pub, which apart from alcohol, serves a large variety of small dishes. Here's a receipt for a pub meal for 4 people. You can see we had around 19 dishes and 6 drinks - 2 glasses of shochu, 1 large beer, yuzu and honey cocktail, a high ball and an oolong tea. The bill came to 10916 yen (2400 baht, 68 euro, US$71, £56). I would hate to think what such a meal would cost on Australia.

  24. From Pattaya News The number of Russian visitors in Phuket has instantly dropped due to two Russian airlines responsible for a majority of flights to the island stopping their services temporarily due to sanctions imposed by western countries on Russia due to the ongoing Russian invasion into Ukraine. The President of the Phuket Tourism Association Mr. Bhummikitti Ruktaengam posted on his Facebook, “Two airlines from Russia have paused their services to other areas including Phuket which are S7 – Siberian Airlines and Aeroflot Airlines.” “The reason that they have paused is because of European and American sanctions which caused airplane rental contracts to be paused too. Some ticket booking system companies have stopped their services. Airspace has been restricted and limited in conflict areas of Ukraine and Russia. So these make ticket bookings more difficult if not outright impossible for citizens of both countries, although there are still some routes in through the UAE.” Bhummikitti stated. “The number of Russian visitors in Phuket used to be very high and since reopening Thailand to foreign tourists last year with Thailand Pass, Russians have been number one in terms of overall visitors. Most of them used direct flights from Russia and not flights through Dubai or some other Middle Eastern countries which, for now, are still operating although could also be forced to pause soon due to sanction-related issues. As a result, the numbers of Russian visitors have instantly dropped.” Bhummikitti added. their services for now, including Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, American Express, Wise, Remitly, and bank-related sanctions with SWIFT it has become almost impossible for Russians to access their banks and funds in Russia, leaving a significant number of them stranded without the ability to pay for flights home to Russia or even for hotels or food. There are still some tourists who have managed to access funds through cryptocurrency or small banks not targeted by SWIFT but loopholes and grey areas continue to be closed by Western countries putting pressure on Russia to end the conflict,” Bhummikitti explained. Bhummikitti did not state exactly how many Russians were “stranded” in Phuket as a result of the sanctions, TPN media notes, but both Samui and Pattaya have reported similar issues with Samui stating hundreds of Russians and Ukrainians, who could not get flights home due to restricted airspace, were facing problems both in getting flights and for Russians financially due to sanctions. Bhummikitti said that the tourism association and Phuket leaders were working closely with both Russians and Ukrainians on the island who were facing travel and finance problems, as well as working out deals with hotels and Immigration to allow those who could not leave or could not temporarily pay to stay longer. Bhummikitti also stated that the consulates of both countries were working with their citizens to provide solutions and support for those in need.

    Manila, Cebu, or Davao

I am about to embark on this adventure at the end of this month. I am currently a retiree in the Pattaya suburb = Jomtien - a small establishment directly on the Gulf of Thailand beaches with hirise condos all along the beach. Due to the new Thai government recently implementing unfriendly tax laws - I will scout nearby countries for alternate retiree solutions. I am trying to find the Jomtien equivalent in the Philippines - and this has been an enormous challenge to find beaches in the Philippines that have hirise condos directly on the beach like in Miami, Da Nang - Vietnam, and here in Jomtien - Thailand. It appears that most of the beach communities in the Philippines are underdeveloped and do not have clusters of hirise condo buildings with direct sea access. So, I will start my 2 month scouting adventure in Cebu City (near IT Park) - as it has the closest potential similarity to Jomtien - Thailand in nearby Mactan (island) Newtown Beach - as shown in the below map. If one would live in the heart of Pattaya City and wanted to get to the Dongtan gay beach then depending on traffic that would entail anywhere between 15 to 25 minutes. My preliminary research shows that to get from IT Park in Cebu City to the Jomtien area on Mactan island at Newtown beach entails 45 minutes depending on traffic. So I will live for a couple of weeks in Cebu City and then go over to Newtown beach and rent a place in one of the hirise condo towers there so that I can assess how similar it is as the retiree destination that I currently have here in Jomtien. I ruled out Manila as it is too big, crowded, congested, and a general traffic nightmare. For Davao, I could not find any seafront neighborhoods that have a Jomtien hirise condo on the sea feeling to it. @bobtpa1614502761 If you are aware of such places in Davao - please let me know. Thanks.

    Rio in December?

I traveled to Rio by myself back in 2022 or 2023; I'm too high to remember. But I had a guide to help me because, while I felt capable of going alone, I did not speak Portuguese at all, not even at a basic level. Many guys on this forum said you can use your phone to communicate inside of the clubs, like Pointe. However, I had issues focusing on my phone when the eye candy kept coming by and flashing their fully hard and erect cocks at me, or sitting next to me, taking my hand off my phone to place it on their junk to persuade me to pick them. But you can be safe coming and going. What I do not recommend is walking back to the hotel or Airbnb at certain times of night, because you might unknowingly attract unwanted attention. I got stopped several times with Manu. People wanted to know where I was from and what I had just done—typical Brazilian curiosity and hospitality. But there were some people who looked dangerous enough that we stepped into a restaurant so I could order an Uber so there wouldn't be any problems.

  29. That is the traditional way. However, this new way of paying is no doubt an adaptation to handle the number of customers from east Asia who come from non-tipping cultures. It’s also a good way of pruning away customers who don’t really understand the nature of the shops they are visiting. At Senso you would still give additional tip to boy beyond the minimum tip in room if you’re satisfied with the service.

  30. I, for one, am all for ban even if I agree it will be hard to enforce but as they say, " drop of water drills the rock" . In Thai bars I hate all those 'shot for 100 baht tip " actions offered to performers or boys on the stage and quite a few times I noticed that those forced to drink that way are uncomfortable as drinking shot of strong tipple is not for everybody but they do it likely not to create any offence, nevermind 100 baht

+1 The 3300 baht for 90 minutes at first blush seems like a lot--and it is--but it's not out of the ballpark. One hour at Phoenix (assuming no promotional discount on house fee) would cost you 1,999 baht (799 + 1200 tip). Both shops have their advantage: Phoenix has twinks and twunks; Senso has more hunks and convenient location. Agree that the all-in pricing is the stress-free route to to a satisfactory experience.

    Too gorgeous to be guilty?

that is nonsense, it would be perhaps debatable in eye-for-an eye case but otherwise ? Not siding with alleged killer is politically correct , not ethical? really ? lets consider this situation : professor fails student on exam and as result student commits suicide. Is student's boyfriend, brother , father or whoever, ethically, never mind legally , entitled to seek revenge and shoot professor?

if you find something interesting and touristy please let us know if you have time . I confirm that I liked Silom Convent Garden hotel and found it good value for money. I did not notice anything falling apart. Rooms are spacious and only fault was no safety deposit box in the room. It looks that Senso is second venue we know (other being Phoenix massage is Saphan Kwai area) which moved to all including price. If you ask me - it's very welcomed idea. Removes all uncertainties , haggling , trying to up sale other services (like asking for extra 700 baht to cum etc,) and similar fun killing tactics. If things move in that direction I'm all for it

First day I was in Budapest, I thought my phone would overheat form the Grindr messages. I haven't ventured into providers or their sex sauna's yet. I did visit Irgalmasok Veli Bej Bath sauan. It was nice, and on male only day, the older gents are out to play. But many play in the steam room which is far too hot (temperature wise) for my American blood.

With the large number of customers in the bar every night, just imagine how much those hot, handsome hunks could make if they were willing to go with customers. I remember thinking about the absolute fortune the cute and very naughty guy who flirted with me every night could make if he worked at Moonlight. He would give Babe a run for his money. But then again, prostitution isn't for everyone and I respect their choice.

  43. I've stayed at Arthur and Paul a number of times over the years and it's my favourite hotel in S.E. Asia. The breakfast -eggs benefict- is awesome and the beds are supremely comfortable. My last trip, earlier this year, was solely to visit Space bar every night so I chose a hotel close to the bar. I considered the Sun and Moon but the reviews on TripAdvisor were not very encouraging. Did you have any problems there? I'm presuming the Hatha Khmer massage you refer to is the one around the corner from A&P. Is that correct? I thought it had closed down. I have had wonderful times with a guy there who quickly became my regular over the years. I called him "Mr bubble butt" and wrote about him extensively on the boards. He would wait for me at the bar in the garden area. He spoke quite good English but when he got stuck we could communicate in Japanese! (He thought knowing Japanese could help him find a good job). During our seasons we would fuck each other - 2 fucks for the price of one! (Not quite - I did pay him more). My tuk-tuk driver from A&P would be waiting outside when I'd finished and I would head off to dinner and then to Space Bar. When I was at A&P I was told the massage guys in the hotel were strictly massage only, with no extras. Has that now changed? One time I was sitting around the pool when a couple of hot guys started fucking on a sun bed. OMG!! The hotel staff were still talking about it when I returned a year later! Your post has now gotten me interested in A&P and Hatha massage again! I'm of to Japan for Christmas /New Year but will look into a trip to PP early next year. The only problem is, A&P is often booked out.

  44. If you’re flying Aeroflot, neither are you From Wikipedia Founded in 1923, Aeroflot, the flag carrier and largest airline of Russia (formerly the Soviet Union), has had a high number of fatal crashes, with a total of 8,231 passengers dying in Aeroflot crashes according to the Aircraft Crashes Record Office, mostly during the Soviet era, about five times more than any other airline.[1][2] From 1946 to 1989, the carrier was involved in 721 incidents. From 1995 to 2017, the carrier was involved in 10 incidents. In 2013, AirlineRatings.com reported that five of the ten aircraft models involved in the highest numbers of fatal accidents[3] were old Soviet models. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeroflot_accidents_and_incidents

  46. It's your money. Spend it how you want, friend. If you get bad service at a restaurant will you continue to patronize that restaurant knowing that there are other restaurants in the same area with better service? Hell naw! It's a 8.5 hour flight from MIA to Rio so if I'm traveling that far I wanna make sure I'm getting THE BEST BANG FOR MY BUCK (pun intended). The garatos will take as many men as they can upstairs to the room and not give a damn about you seeing them do so, so you shouldn't feel bad about seeing other garatos because each one will touch and fuck you different. We collect as many numbers as possible in the saunas because sometimes the garatos will be tied up the next day with other clients or they can get funky for some reason and demand more money or like you say, slack off with their services. I think them seeing and knowing that you're collecting other guys numbers and being with other guys will make them try harder to please and keep you satisfied. They have to know what turns you on though. So you must tell them. That's what I love about the barber in SDQ. he knows that my nipples are EXTREMELY SENSITIVE and he gives them plenty attention BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER SEX. even when he knows I will be coming to SDQ soon he will send a text telling me that he can't wait to suck my nipples all day and night. Chile, that drives me crazy. When he walks through the door, he pulls my shirt to the side and sucks my nipples, when I'm on my knees giving him oral, when I'm on my back, when we're doggy style, when I want to cum and before he walks out the door. He gives my nipples more play than a triple overtime baseball game. He wouldn't know to do that if I didn't tell him what turned me completely on. You should do the same. Never go to that sauna with all those beautiful men and pin your hopes on one garato. Remember my friend, VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE.
