Last night visit in Dreamboys and Moonlight. Two rotations of boys, total probably around 40 of them. Quality much improved from last visit of mine. Music way too loud. I spotted 4 who made my heart rate speed up a bit, numbers 5, 27, 77 and 109 and could do with another fifteen - twenty if in need. In 1 hour we were there 5 and 27 were sitting with customers, 109 gone and only 77 still on the stage. Audience about half full which considering bar size is quite OK for Monday. Dreamboys, rose in my eyes after last night visit as it was never really my favotite. Drink 500 Then in the drizzle ( at this time of year never leave your room without umbrella even if sky is blue at the moment) we went to Moonlight. Model show in progress, Mark, Peach, Babe, Nut, York, Tum and Nest present. It was late so after show singing started with remaining floor boys, in the background. My heart pumed at the sight of 9, 10, 19, and a 30. I know member who offed 10 and was, very happy and another who offed 30 two times and was even happier. Mamasan who must know what I like from gossip from boys underscored 30 is fine with LT. Despite of being after midnight bar half full with few bottles opened and few lavish spenders. Each floor boy got 100 baht each and all models, between 1 and 7, yes, seven in Nest case those 1000 baht garlands. So you don't need many people to do good business it seems. So Moonlight continues to be my favorite bar in the area. By quite a distance. Boys in long pants and wife eaters, models the same but their shirt has their name. However, the resort’s downtown Soi Buakhao district, sometimes over-simplified as Little Britain, is proving highly resistant to change. Many of the bars, clubs and gogos retain English-sounding names, whilst fish and chips on a Friday and roast beef on a Sunday are the dominant cafe and restaurant themes. There are between 500 and 1,000 mostly small units of enjoyment in the Soi Buakhao and L.K. Metro vicinity, depending on where you draw the boundaries. In the aptly named UK Massage Parlour, Khun May sums up, “I’d say that 70 percent of our customers are Brits and the rest Americans and Europeans. You don’t yet see many Indians or Chinese in this district precisely because they feel in a minority.” Surprisingly, there’s only one Indian restaurant, Tikka Center, on the actual strip even though there are dozens in nearby areas. A manager at the popular residential Diana Estate said, “The vast majority of our renters and owners are still Europeans, not much different from 30 years ago.” Unlike Pattaya’s Walking Street, Little Britain is busy during the day with Thai markets selling everything from exotic fruit and vegetables to second-hand clothes and car accessories. There are no pedestrian footpaths and the traffic chaos is virtually 24/7. The most popular daytime bars are those with a frontage overlooking the fumes as elderly expats in groups recall their younger days or talk of recent conquests. Beers start at a knockdown 55 baht (1.2 pounds) and a single room with aircon can be as cheap as 500 baht (11 pounds) if you know how to bargain in off-season. That’s not to say that the scene is static. The nighteries are not as busy as in the pre-covid era and for sale and for rent signs are noticeable in the side streets. Businesses regularly open and then close or change hands. Part of the famous Treetown Complex is being demolished to make way, some say, for a plush condominium. After dark, the clubs take over to offer night-action birds, booze and banter. The most popular street after 7 pm for gogos is surely L.K. Metro. It doesn't belong here but I post it anyways. Today I walked all the way from Grand Palace to National Stadium BTS and was, surprised to find very long stretch of street without any 7/11. As compensation when finally one showed up I was, able to see another two standing at front of it. Good news about bus stops, I noticed plenty of them have direction of busses in English, even with intermediate stops listed. Great help for travellers not reading Thai.

I vaguely recall reading something about battery powered Baht Busses but last night got to ride in one from Jomtien to Pattaya. They look similar to the standard pickup truck bus although a lighter blue however the interior is much more comfortable and attractive. Seating is limited to about 10 people with no provisions for anyone to stand on the rear deck. And the sound of the "I want to get off" call button is a very pleasant "ding-dong". The ride was quiet, fume free and well dampened and brisk. Cost was 10 Baht, as usual. Anyone else have this experience?

Hi @Olddaddy, can you please expand on why Boracay is "retirable"? As part of my 4-4-4 plan I hope to go on an exploratory trip to The Philippines to find places that are "retirable". I will avoid Manila for the same reasons why I could not live in Bangkok. I will start my journey in Cebu City, as it is "near" the sea with my understanding that the Mactan - Newtown area is the most similar to Jomtien - but with the crazy traffic it can take 1 hour to reach the nice Cebu City IT Park and Business Center near the Ayala mall. So, I am thinking that perhaps it would be better to choose a condo in one of the Cebu City high rises with a balcony view of the sea (though it is quite far off into the distance) - as opposed to a mountain view. Does Boracay have anything similar? I see from Twitter that there are plenty of guys available with even the "edging" fetish experience - which is almost impossible to find here in Jomtien.

That's great news. November last year I looked into going from Butterworth to Chumphon (to catch a boat to Koh Tao) by train, but was only possible to go to Padang Besar and then I would have had to take bus or taxi to Hat Yai to reconnect to rail. I Ended up booking a seat on a shuttle bus that took me directly from my hotel in Georgetown to Hat Yai where I got on the train.

I had a guy I wanted to see from Ganymede Spa and thought he was stunning so I made a booking. I normally don't go to a spa where they have no VIP room (shower inside) but I wanted to see this lad and I did. First, it was really near Central World and Siam Paragon. Hi I've been lurking in this forum as I'm currently travelling around Thailand, just went to Prince and thought I'd post. 90 minutes, 1400 minimum to Prince, 2000 to the therapist. Well worth it.
