So, after three days of work trip in Taipei perpetually surrounded by colleagues and having zero fun (seriously, how can you be surrounded by cute Taiwanese men and not have a chance to enjoy?), I finally landed in Bangkok, ready to unleash some excitement. My luck was on fire right from the get-go—I breezed through immigration, and my luggage appeared on the carousel before I could even blink. It’s competitively priced, within a healthy walking distance to Silom, and they've got a free shuttle to BTS Saladaeng/MRT Silom. It’s the perfect balance—close enough to be convenient but far enough from the chaos. Oh, and some the staff? Super cute! There’s one ruggedly adorable doorman who’s so charming I’d consider hiring him if he is a bar boy. He even helped me with my ridiculously large delivery of bottled water and random stuff. Fingers crossed I get to see him more. First stop: the reincarnated The One, which I missed last time. Big mistake , I showed up too early and asked if I could return the unopened can of Coke and come back later, and they were cool with it. I spent some time strolling down Surawong Rd., taking in the sights and smells. There’s something uniquely electric about this place—it’s crowded, a bit grimy, and just so sensory-stimulating. I took a trip trip to Boysclub21 in Amsterdam last week, on a Sunday night. Its about time for me to start my trip report for my trip last month. This trip was a last minute trip planned only few weeks before. Ive been wanting to go to phnom penh or phuket for a while now but ticket price to phnom penh isnt cheap booking this late, so maybe will put it for the next trip, hopefully soon. Having read that phuket gay scene is diminishing, i contacted a guy and proposed a trip together with him to phuket if he is interested and available. While waiting for his reply, i started to read back Vinapu's report on phuket, and start to look at options for hotels and location. Ive got to do few nights for upgrades on my Hilton Honors, so Hilton Garden Inn Bang tao seems like a great value for this purpose. The location is a bit far from the action which is concentrated in Patong but if i have a guy with me tagging along, maybe it wont be an issue. If he couldnt join me, im left with either going to Phuket alone and stay near Paradise Complex or go to Pattaya for the rest of my trip. So i proceed with hotel bookings at Hilton Garden Inn Bang Tao for 4 nights, and booked Hilton Sukhumvit for my last night in Bangkok before going back home. Now that all the bookings done, i had about 10 days before my trip to browse through the numerous lists of available massage guys to fill my time there in bangkok, before my guy join me for phuket. I still think you could consider Tarntawan or, if you have the budget, Quarter Silom, which has a pool, sauna and steam room as well as a basic gym. You don't need to cross roads to get to the bars or Silom 4. And it's a flat walk. Both of these hotels are just far enough back from Silom and Surawong roads to escape most of the outside noise, which is important for me. Quarter Silom rates can skyrocket at the weekend. I usually book through Agoda or booking.com.

I would have liked to have caught up and gone to a bar, but it's nearly time for me to depart for home. I was at The One on Friday night. Fortunately there was a bigger crowd than midweek. There were guys of all shapes and sizes. The customer numbers have been down recently. I think they need to have a sign outside advertising that it's a muscle bar. it depends which bar you have in mind but in reality as long as you staying in Silom/ Suriwong area all bars are just short walk. Tarntawan, Nantra Silom , Quarter Silom, - if you stay in those you don't even need to cross the street. If you can cross the street Raya, De Arni, 56 Suriwong and Le Siam are right opposite bar areas

Im not sure for thai guys, but my arrangement with my indo guy is his overnight rate per night, plus all expenses.

Hi, long time Rio resident / expat here. This whole back and forth about whether or not there is higher pricing for gringos / tourists is never going to be solved. The answer is: “it all depends”. (1) It depends on who the garoto is. Some garotos price themselves higher than some others — usually because they look like male supermodels or are built like professional athletes, or are hung like a Shire horse — and the market has already taught them what price point they can command. (2) It depends on who the client is. Often, like with many other kinds of services, regular clients get reduced rates. A client that may not be seen ever again, or at the most only once or twice a year, or who may not see him regularly but also doesn’t provide him fringe benefits like gifts and Western Union, probably should not expect this kind of discount for a programa. Also, like it or not, looks / attraction as well as age, charm and personality, do matter to quite a few of the garotos — whether “straight”-identifying or not. The extremely rare superstar client that resembles something like George Clooney, Henry Cavill, Ricky Martin or Idris Elba would get this “discount.” But the overwhelming majority of us clients not blessed with such physical gifts aren’t in this category, and have to flirt with our wallets instead. (3) It depends on what the client wants out of the programa. Asking a garoto to do more performative or more “difficult” or unusual sex work in a short programa — especially for a visiting, rare client — is more likely to increase the cost. Remember, these are human beings, not machines.
