  1. Its about time for me to start my trip report for my trip last month. This trip was a last minute trip planned only few weeks before. Prior to this, ive been in contact with several forum members to see if we can have our trip aligned but im on a strict schedule this year so in the end, i booked a trip for 2 weeks in July, only manage to be with a forum member (not active) for 4 days. I did managed to meet few others who are residing in bangkok though. Anyway, once i booked my ticket, time to start booking hotels and planning a side trip. Booked Furama Exclusive Sathorn for 6 nights, love the location, room was great although i prefer the modern furama hotel bathroom better, as the room that i get didnt have a separate shower, only a bath tub with shower attached. Exploring the options for a side trip, it was a toss between Phnom Penh, Phuket or Pattaya. Ive been wanting to go to phnom penh or phuket for a while now but ticket price to phnom penh isnt cheap booking this late, so maybe will put it for the next trip, hopefully soon. Having read that phuket gay scene is diminishing, i contacted a guy and proposed a trip together with him to phuket if he is interested and available. While waiting for his reply, i started to read back Vinapu's report on phuket, and start to look at options for hotels and location. Ive got to do few nights for upgrades on my Hilton Honors, so Hilton Garden Inn Bang tao seems like a great value for this purpose. The location is a bit far from the action which is concentrated in Patong but if i have a guy with me tagging along, maybe it wont be an issue. If he couldnt join me, im left with either going to Phuket alone and stay near Paradise Complex or go to Pattaya for the rest of my trip. Im not as motivated to go to Pattaya though, since i find out my crush now has a girlfriend lol. So, i was really hoping that my guy would say yes. Luckily, it wouldnt take too long for him to say yes to my proposal. So i proceed with hotel bookings at Hilton Garden Inn Bang Tao for 4 nights, and booked Hilton Sukhumvit for my last night in Bangkok before going back home. Now that all the bookings done, i had about 10 days before my trip to browse through the numerous lists of available massage guys to fill my time there in bangkok, before my guy join me for phuket. There are a few stunners that would definitely make my heart flutter. My usual targets are jey spa, arena and vck, but ive seen few stunners in aurora as well. For the bars, my usual hunts will be in jupiter, moonlight, the one, but have taken boys from banana, hotmale, and former screwboys too, so those are the targets for this trip. Ive yet to find anyone i like from freshboy and the last time i hire a boy from dreamboy was from their previous location in soi twilight, but since i heard a guy ive taken before had moved to dreamboy, i included dreamboy to the list, and visiting freshboy will be at the bottom of my list, unless someone drag me there lol. Other than bars and gay massage, onsen/sauna visit is on the list because the forum member im planning to travel together for part of my trip likes to visit them. And finally, no trip to thailand will be complete without a visit to Prime Massage, my favorite non gay massage place.

  2. From The Diplomat A Myanmar rebel group claims to have seized a major regional military headquarters in the city of Lashio near the border with China, in what would mark a historic and humiliating defeat for the country’s military junta. In a Chinese-language statement published on its Facebook page yesterday, the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) said that it had completely captured the military’s Northeastern Regional Command headquarters at 4 a.m. that morning, after 23 days of fighting. “The liberation of Lashio will mark a historic victory in our revolution,” the group declared. The MNDAA also claimed to have established effective control over the city of Lashio, which lies 110 kilometers south of the Chinese border. “Our army has won a decisive victory and is now clearing out the remaining enemy troops. The city is now declared completely liberated,” it added, urging the public to remain calm and comply with its administration of the city. However, the situation remains fluid and conditions on the ground are hard to verify. The Irrawaddy, citing “sources close to resistance forces on the ground,” reported that the city of 170,000 is not yet under full MNDAA control and that clashes are still going on in parts of the city. Myanmar Now, citing local sources, reported that fighting was ongoing but that MNDAA troops “have already entered the city’s downtown core, and were seen approaching the airport [yesterday] afternoon.” For what it’s worth, the military State Administration Council (SAC), the junta’s official name, denied that the Northeastern Regional Command had been overrun, with spokesperson Zaw Min Tun stating that its forces military were currently conducting clearance operations near the headquarters. The MNDAA’s sensational announcement came a day after its ally, the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), reported that it had established control over Mogok, a ruby-mining center around 230 kilometers west of Lashio. The MNDAA and TNLA are members of the Three Brotherhood Alliance, which has been spearheading a multi-pronged offensive against junta positions across northern Shan State and parts of Mandalay Region. During its initial phase from October to January, the surprise offensive, known as Operation 1027 after the date of its commencement, saw the groups capture large swathes of territory in northern Shan State, including numerous towns and several important border crossings with China. The most significant of these was the MNDAA’s reconquest of the ethnic Chinese-dominated Kokang region, from which the military had expelled it in 2009.

I took a bus and transfers to both places. Both have well developed touristic infrastructure, Cocora Valley last leg is with jeeps only. Easy to organise all of them. Santa Rosa bus stop has open vans waiting you which take you to thermales. Salento hotels tell you all about jeeps (walk to pickup point and pay fixed fee). Cash only all.

  5. 1. You should be careful about your safety and that makes cruising in the middle class residential areas somehow stressful. What exactly waits you in the flat you have been invited? Your Chapinero flat is probably 45-60 minutes away and its a hassle to your friend to get there and back. Many guys live in shared flats. 2. You can do all touristy stuff, just keep cash and credit card limits low. Many tourists use phone in a public against all advice. Have a second cheap mobile phone for navigation etc. but check it inside the mall or some secure place. Day time public transport is mostly fine. 3. Always meet outside like a coffee shop in a mall or a bar. Do your recruitment interview😉. Then decide together next steps. Start improving your Spanish, many (majority) hot guys dont speak a word in English. Maybe in Medellin its better because of gringos. You can go to gay parties and make friends, clubs and saunas organise them regularly. Check insta for dates and places.

Just to reconfirm that the going rate in Cali, Pereira, Manizales etc (i.e. outside major tourist hotspots like Medellin, Cartagena or Bogota) is 70-100 mil pesos, in particular if Venezuelan (100 mil is even on the high end). Many non-professionel/normal guys in Grindr will do full sex for 50-60 mil. Mileroticos guys slightly higher. Chaturbate models I have no idea; not my reference point. Often a bit of negotiation is needed. On the other hand, as a mature and probably slightly overweight foreigner, be prepared always to pay for sex; young, fit, big-dick guys don’t fuck you for free in Colombia. And you will never get quoted in USD or Euro (if a guy starts doing that, move on), i.e. if a guy quotes you “70” it means 70 mil/70,000 pesos - not USD or Euro!

  9. NOTE -- I have no idea how these gadgets might work and I don't think I want to. From VN Express Owner of the Gyeongbok spa on Vo Thi Sau Street in HCMC's District 3. Photo by police HCMC police detained seven employees of a local spa on Friday for illegally offering penis lengthening services, detaining, and extorting customers, following multiple complaints and a mid-July raid. The employees, four women and three men, of the Gyeongbok spa on Vo Thi Sau Street in District 3 in the city’s center are now under investigation for the acts of "extortion" and "illegal detention." The owner of the spa is also probed for the same charges but she was released on bail due to pregnancy. Police said they had previously received complaints that the Gyeongbok spa advertised medical treatments and procedures to "increase penis length" and "extend sexual duration" beyond its authorized functions. Some reported it to have signs of fraud. In mid-July, several criminal and economic police officers from District 3, along with local police, conducted inspection of the spa, discovering a 47-year-old male customer from the southern Can Tho City being detained by spa staff over a dispute about the exorbitant service charges. The authorities also found many citizen identification cards and phones of other customers held by the staff due to unpaid service fees. Determining signs of criminal activity, the police brought everyone in for questioning. The investigation revealed that the Gyeongbok spa did not have a license from the city’s Department of Health, its business license did not include the functions of performing "penis lengthening" and "sexual duration extension" procedures, yet it still advertised such services and offered them to customers. The spa hired many employees, but most did not have contracts and were unqualified to perform such procedures, police said. The owner of the spa admitted to purchasing the equipment to use, despite not fully understanding their functions or effectiveness. She is accused of managing and assigning tasks to each employee with the intent to defraud and steal from customers.

  10. HI all, Thanks for all the suggestions on the forum,I've booked awhole month trip in Colombia - Medellin 1 w, Cali 2w, Bogota 2w. Most of it is a holiday and a weekof remote work. I'm33yo and hope for unpaid activities... I've got a few concerns if anyone can address them. Any advice is much appreciated! 1. Appreciate everyone's trying to stay in touristy areas for the safety reasons, but i'd need to be around local horny guys rather than professionals so probs should aim for safe but quiet residential areas? Any suggestions for areas in each of these? Belen comes to mind for Medellin, north of Chapinero in Bogota, Cali- no idea. 2. Considering I won't be fucking 24/7 I'm a bit concerned what to actually do there, safety concerns made me think I can't just go and expore the cities, hiking places etc. Am I exxagerating? Would it be ok to use metro/public transport during the day to go to touristy spots? Really can't get my head around it considering i'm not even supposed to use my phone/map in public. 3. Would you recommend getting guys in my airbnb staright away or meeting them in public first? My spanish is very basic so wouldn't be good for proper conversations. 4. Have seen a few mentions about avoiding Tinder - what's wrong with it? I was going to meet local guys for a walk/entartainment purposes(just so I won't be alone going touristy stuff, always do that with tourists/locals in other places i've been), would you say it's a definite no or should I be aware of anything in particular? Many thanks everyone!

  11. From Pattaya Mail By Barry Kenyon An interview between the Bangkok Post and a deputy director general of the foreign affairs ministry has clarified some visa ambiguities but left others to immigration discretion. The actual recording is, according to the newspaper, available only by downloading the digital web player Spotify. Naruchai Ninnad, representing the ministry, emphasized that the new policies were designed to increase foreign tourism, in accordance with the prime minister’s desire to benefit the economy. Khun Naruchai clarified that tourists from 93 countries receiving the visa-exempt 60 days on entry could indeed extend for a further 30 days at local immigration. They could then, if they wished, leave the country and return the following (not the same) day to obtain a new 60 days and repeat the whole procedure. This has implications for the celebrated, single-day border runs which have traditionally operated through agencies in Bangkok and the provinces. If implemented fully, repeat if, these tourists would need to pay for a night’s accommodation in a foreign country, thus raising costs. The deputy director general emphasized the number of repeatable visa exempts will depend on individual immigration officers who have absolute discretion. Accordingly, it appears that tourists could still be challenged with the cry “you come to Thailand too often without a visa”. The interview also clarified that if visa-exempt tourists wanted to do ad hoc work – lasting fewer than 15 days – they needed to inform the immigration officer on entry or report to the employment ministry soon afterwards. Turning to the new Destination Visa Thailand, available only at foreign embassies or via the e-portal of the foreign affairs ministry, Khun Naruchai emphasized that the main target group were digital nomads and remote workers employed by overseas companies. But applications are also welcome from “activity” based tourists, assuming they have suitable documentary evidence such as enrolment for Thai boxing or cookery classes. Or even as hospital patients. Another surprising category is “music festivals” though precisely what evidence and updates would be required for any of the above remains blurry. These matters are presumably for the discretion of the immigration officer on entry throughout the multiple-entry five years validity of the DTV. Expats with one year extensions of stay based on marriage or retirement or the Elite visa are virtually ignored in the latest set of changes. It will probably be many months before the visa exempt and DTV ambiguities begin to clear up, so expats are probably safer to stick with what they have. Separately, any foreigner (with any visa or no visa at all) now residing in Thailand for 180 days or more in a calendar year is subject to taxation on “assessable” overseas income with many details yet to be unfolded. There is no elephant in the room. There are several.

I have visited two times, once with a guy from Bogota (overnight in Thermales). Salento, entry point to Wax Palm Forest, is also nearby. Great hiking in Cocora Valley, one of the best hikes in all Colombia I think! Its a high altitude, so not so hot, and its relatively steap. Pereira is a great place. 19. It is just western propaganda. Myanmar (Burma) got independence in 1948. And all these nationalistic elites from Burmese states started to fight for control of local resources just few months after. In each Burmese state exists at least two, but mostly 3 or 4 different "Liberation Armies" which over 80 years already fighting each other. And all these "liberation forces" existed 70 years before "the most treacherous and corrupt junta in Asia" appeared on the political scene of Myanmar... Each "army" has own sponsors - some sponsors are Chinese origin, some are CIA origin, some have links to Thailand and Vietnam. And each sponsor dreams to control ruby, jade, and even opium. It is just war for resources in Golden triangle for interests of different elites under cover of "liberation", "democratization" and other "-tions"... In Thailand army successfully controls situation and keeps civil order. In Burma state army isn't that successful. That's all. To support these "liberation" gangs is the same as to support radicals from Southern Thai provinces.

  20. From The Star PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts has announced the dates for the much-anticipated "National Lakhon Bassac Festival 2024" to promote and preserve traditional Khmer arts. “The three-day event, dedicated to celebrating and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Lakhon Bassac, will be held from October 25-27, at the Department of Performing Arts in Phnom Penh,” according to the ministry’s announcement. The festival will also be broadcast live on the ministry’s official Facebook page, ensuring that the celebration reaches a wider audience. According to the ministry, the event seeks to uphold and promote the values of Cambodian arts, culture, national traditions and identity, as well as contributing to societal development and enhancing national prestige. “It also aims to encourage artists specialising in Lakhon Bassac to revive their activities, thereby preserving this significant aspect of Cambodia’s cultural heritage,” said the announcement. Artists with expertise in the discipline from various organisations and public art associations nationwide are invited to take part.

The practice of "absolute discretion" has from time to time has left internal air arrivals--particularly those from neighboring countries--with little alternative than returning to their home nation and starting their journey over again by land. Examples have been posted in the forum. That said, the 60-day visa exemption is a boon to the guys we've come to know who work in the venues we visit in Bangkok and elsewhere.

  22. From Reuters By Chayut Setboonsarng and Panarat Thepgumpanat BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand will work towards legislating marijuana for medical use, a deputy prime minister said Tuesday, signalling a U-turn on plans to re-criminalise the plant and another change in the government's hazy position on cannabis. Thailand in 2022 became one of the first countries in Asia to decriminalise marijuana, doing so without a law to govern it or clear regulations in place to prevent its recreational usage. The move, however, led to an explosion of recreational use and the launch of tens of thousands of cannabis cafes and retailers enabling it, prompting public concern about its abuse. Deputy premier Anutin Charnvirakul, whose party was instrumental in pushing for marijuana liberalisation, said Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin had now agreed that legislation was the appropriate step to take. "It will be a matter of law and debated in parliament where there is already a draft law," secretary-general to the prime minister Prommin Lertsuridej told Reuters. "Whether it is a narcotic or not is up to parliament." A draft law on marijuana was submitted to the legislature under the previous administration but parliament was dissolved ahead of an election last year, without a vote taken. It was not immediately clear whether steps would be taken to crack down on recreational cannabis use, as Srettha has advocated. Thailand has seen rapid growth of a domestic retail sector for marijuana, an industry projected to be worth up to $1.2 billion by 2025. Anutin's Bhumjaithai Party, the second biggest in the ruling coalition, has advocated for marijuana for health and economic purposes, but officially not for recreational use, and has argued against re-criminalising it.

  24. Again? They declared that 3 times already: at past summer, autumn, and spring. The group was formed on 12 March 1989, after the local head of the local Communist Party of Burma, Pheung Kya-shin (also spelt Peng Jia Sheng or Phone Kyar Shin), dissatisfied with the communist government, broke away and formed the MNDAA. MNDAA has held multiple public executions. The European Union condemned the executions "in the strongest term", calling them "an inhuman and degrading punishment that represents an ultimate denial of human dignity". - WIKI These are fighting for control over opium region Kokang. Situation as of May 2024. The most predictable future of this conflict on the territory of the North of Shan state: all these parts of "brotherhood of the Ring" will forget "liberation" and will start to fight each over for to control over opium fields and jade and ruby mines in region if they will have success in pushing Myanmar national army out of region.

  28. From Richard Barrow Train Guide Looking for a train between Bangkok and Hua Hin? The most popular one is Special Express No. 43, which has air conditioning and only takes three hours. You can book this train up to 30 days in advance. Special Express No. 911 is a weekend excursion train. The ticket price is for a round trip. In theory, you can use this train just to go one-way to Hua Hin. You can book these tickets up to three months in advance. The next best train is Ordinary No. 255, which departs from Thonburi Station at 7:20am. Tickets are only 42 baht, but it takes 90 minutes longer than No. 43 and only has a fan and open windows. Like other local trains, you can only buy tickets at the station an hour before departure. If you want to leave from Bangkok Station (Hua Lamphong), then Ordinary No. 261 is the one for you. This departs at 9:20 and arrives at 1:50pm. Back over at Thonburi, there is another slow train, No. 251, that departs at 1:10pm. If you don’t mind arriving in Hua Hin in the evening, you can try one of the sleeper trains. All of them, apart from No. 31, have 3rd Class carriages. But you can only buy tickets on the day, as you will be going less than 25% of the entire route.

  29. From The Nation Historical park recognised as Thailand's 8th World Heritage site and 5th Cultural World Heritage site; it is also the 2nd World Heritage site in Udon Thani province At 11am on Saturday, Sudawan Wangsuphakitkosol, minister of culture, presided over a press conference at Isara Winitchai Throne Hall, Bangkok National Museum, announcing the inscription of Phu Phra Bat Historical Park as a Cultural World Heritage site. The event featured a live broadcast from the 46th regular session of the World Heritage Committee, held from July 21-31 in New Delhi, India. In the third agenda, UNESCO declared Phu Phra Bat Historical Park in Udon Thani Province a Cultural World Heritage site under the name “Phu Phra Bat: Witness to Sema Culture of the Dvaravati Period”. Phu Phra Bat Historical Park is Thailand's eighth World Heritage site and its fifth Cultural World Heritage site. It is also Udon Thani province's second World Heritage site, following the Ban Chiang Archeological Site, which was inscribed in 1992. According to the National Museum’s website, Phu Phra Bat Historical Park is located on a mountain called Phu Phra Bat in Ban Phue district, Udon Thani province. It is part of the Phu Phan mountain range, a sandstone range west of Udon Thani, with an average elevation of about 320-350 metres above sea level. The area is generally open forest, covered with natural hardwood species. Archeological surveys have revealed that Phu Phra Bat has been inhabited since prehistoric times, about 2,500 to 3,000 years ago, as evidenced by more than 54 sites on the mountain with ancient paintings. Additionally, natural rock shelters have been modified into religious sites by people from various cultures, including Dvaravati, Khmer, Lan Xang and Rattanakosin. These archeological traces illustrate the social development of humans in Northeast Thailand. Therefore, the Fine Arts Department requested the use of 3,430 rai of national forest reserve from the Department of Forestry. The area was officially registered as a historical site in the Royal Gazette, Volume 98, on April 28, 1981. Today, Phu Phra Bat Historical Park is under the management of the Eighth Regional Office of Fine Arts in Khon Kaen, Department of Fine Arts, Ministry of Culture. The park oversees 78 registered historical sites. Its main missions include the preservation, conservation, and research of archeological sites and artefacts within and around the park. It also serves as a cultural-tourism and educational site for the public.

  34. From The Thaiger Indonesia has introduced a long-term visa scheme aimed at attracting rich, “good-quality” foreign investors, President Joko Widodo announced. The new Golden Visa offers a 10-year residency permit to those rich enough to invest up to US$10 million in Southeast Asia’s largest economy. The scheme includes a five-year visa option, requiring an individual to set up a company worth US$2.5 million, while a 10-year visa needs a US$5 million investment. For those not establishing a company, a five-year permit can be obtained with a US$350,000 investment and a 10-year permit with US$700,000. These funds can be allocated towards Indonesian government bonds, public company stocks, or deposits. Corporate investors are also catered for under this scheme. An investment of US$25 million allows companies to secure five-year visas for directors and commissioners, while a US$50 million investment grants a 10-year visa. Incentives are further enhanced for investments in Indonesia’s new US$32 billion capital city, currently under construction in Borneo. Here, a US$5 million investment provides a five-year visa, and a US$10 million investment secures a 10-year visa, according to the immigration agency.

In Medellin going rate is 100-150-200 mil COP (not USD!). Mileroticos guys/hot fit guys in high demand will ask 250 mil but will lower to 150 or 200 if you question the offer (politely). Rough street trade will take you to short time hotel for as low as 40-50 mil. + you pay around 20 mil for the room. Any guy in CO insisting on 150 USD is out of his mind/not worth it. Just ignore and move on. Plenty of other fish out there.

    Is this rate normal?

Quick note -- $150 USD is very high, but there are many scorts on Rentmen in Colombia advertising that rate. FWIW. Colombia is no exception to the problem of high inflation. Am seeing the cost of all basic needs (food, shelter, clothing) have risen in the few months since I was last here. So am not surprised that many of the "pros" are now asking 150-200K for a session. Yes there is wide variation of prices for scort services here, but I am in the "you get what you pay for camp". Will add that you need to always agree to a final price -- that should be the starting point of any engagement here to avoid problems.

I politely say I'm sure you are worth every dollar, but that is too much for my budget. they will try again lower. had one guy go from 100 USD to 24$. I said no, I didn't want to cheat him... 100 cop is pretty normal, high mileroticus will want 200....
