  2. From Thai PBS World AirAsia announced on its Facebook page that the outage of Microsoft Azure has affected its reservation and check-in systems at all airports. As a result, the airline has had to resort to a manual system, causing delays for passengers. Passengers are therefore advised to arrive at the airport three hours before departure time.

  3. From Thai PBS World Thai cybercrime police, working with the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission and internet and mobile phone service providers, have launched a joint operation, codenamed “Blasting the Bandit’s Bridge”, to crack down on call centre scam gangs in Myanmar and Laos, operating in the King’s Roman entertainment complex, located in the Golden Triangle. According to Pol Lt-Gen Tatchai Pitanilabutr, the assistant national police chief, the King’s Roman complex contains casinos, hotels, other entertainment venues and an airport to handle tourists from Thailand, Laos, Myanmar and China. The complex and its surrounding areas are known as safe havens for scammers, particularly Chinese, operating call centres defrauding victims in Thailand and China. Thais and other nationalities have been lured by promises of high pay to work in casinos, hotels and other entertainment establishments, but were eventually forced to work as slave labour in call centres. Pol Lt-Gen Tatchai said that the officials will use special signal jamming devices to disrupt internet and phone traffic sent to the area, but with limited impacts on legitimate service users, adding that mobile phone service providers will also cut the signals of suspicious phone numbers. He noted that telecom cables should be confined within Thai territory and should not be extended into neighbouring countries, which would be helping the illegal activities of the call centres. The assistant police chief warned that SIM card retail outlets, which sell SIM cards without proper registration, could face legal action and be banned from selling them again. Commenting on a report that some scammers have resorted to the use of the Starlink service, to bypass ordinary mobile phone services, Tatchai said the Starlink service is not as stable as the use of SIM cards with the mobile phone services provided by the four existing providers. Meanwhile, in Chiang Mai province, police have arrested a Hang Dong district police officer, Pol Lt-Col “Bandhit”, who allegedly ran a call centre in the province. “Bandhit” was booked early this morning at a temple, where he entered monkhood in an attempt to evade arrest. He was rapidly defrocked and escorted to Chang Phuek police station for questioning. The suspect claimed that he was just a member of the call centre, which was actually run by Chinese businessmen.

  5. Well boys think many gringos are a hassle for trying to down pay while clearly having more money than locals. Most boys are not found of that. For myself I never ever go with a boy asking more than the “current price”. Most will lower the price after a no, but I tend to keep my negative as they will often perform bad when that happens. I say clearly to them that asking an overprice upfront is a red flag to me and boys that do that won’t perform well . But likewise I tend to tip very well when the boys performs great - and as boys talks about clients between themselves, word of mouth goes around and when you are somewhat regular this “strategy” works great - they don’t ask higher prices (so I don’t lose money if they don’t perform) but they try to impress expecting a better tip.

  6. fascinating and thank you for bringing it up. On another hand is noting unusual as urban landscapes tend to be constantly evolving. My first visit in Boyztown was in Nov 2013 and it did not change since then other than different occupants in some places though. For me both links worked. as for sign, since it's in the open , subject to elements , rust, paint peeling off , venues being opened and closed , not unusual there was need to change it periodically.

  8. From Pattaya Mail Passengers advised to arrive 4 hours early Airports of Thailand (AOT) is facing severe disruptions as the Navitaire check-in system has gone down, impacting automatic passport control. Passengers are urged to arrive four hours early as the manual check-in process causes significant delays. Mr. Kirati Kitmanawat, President of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), addressed the issue caused by the failure of the Navitaire Host Data Center. This disruption affects all airlines worldwide using this system, making it impossible for passengers to check in and reserve seats. The primary airlines already impacted include Thai Air Asia (FD) and Scoot Tiger (TR), with potential effects on: 1.Air Asia Berhad (AK) 2.Philippines AirAsia (Z2) 3.Indonesia AirAsia (QZ) 4.Air Asia Berhad (AK) 5.Firefly Airlines (FY) 6.INDIGO AIRLINES (6E) 7.Jet Star Asia (3K) 8.CEBU PACIFIC AIR (5J) 9.GO AIRLINES (INDIA) PRIVATE LTD. (SG) 13.THAI AIRASIA X (XJ) 14.Norse Atlantic Airways (NO) Due to this incident, passenger check-in times are significantly longer. AOT requests passengers to allow four hours before their flights to avoid missing their departures. The automatic passport control system is also down, prompting AOT to coordinate with the Immigration Bureau to fully staff all checkpoints at Don Mueang Airport (DMK) and Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK).

  12. I agree, that's why i mentioned seasoned traveler compared to more sporadic ones. I still think that in light of Thailand extending the visa free period and the number of countries it offers it too and even Indonesia removing the need for a visa on arrival for many countries, the visa policy of Cambodia and Vietnam is pretty shortsighted. I believe Cambodia still maintains the requirement for a visa because it doesn't want to give up the income that it generates. It can probably be solved by implementing an arrival/departure tax. Vietnam's policy is a bit more peculiar as they allow a good number of European countries to travel without visa but not citizens of the US, Canada, Australia, France which represent quite a big market. I assume is because these countries have large Vietnamese diasporas, including opponents of the ruling party, so the visa is there just to filter out any "agitator".

    Time to return

After the Jupiter final march out concluded and the show ended to prep for the next one, we lingered which gave CoCo a chance to introduce me to his Burmese compatriots who are working on the runway as models or are in the sport jacket of the night as managers (bar captains). All seemed to be genuinely nice and looking out for each other. Wondering if the Burmese and this era’s Viets? Out of the club, we spend some time talking with folks either or both of us know one way or another. At my hotel we delve into research on stamps from the British period in Malaya. Decently satisfactory practical and theoretical learning. Next morning, (Wednesday for those - like me - trying to keep track of life), CoCo out to his market helper job before breakfast. I skip the hotel’s 249 THB buffet and pick and choose from the carts on Patpong. Back at the hotel it’s time to update this report and answer DMs. I turn on Planet Romeo, I turn off Planet Romeo. All Money Boys! Yes, that’s really not any different than meeting a boy (boys) in the clubs, but I prefer to pick and choose - which, it appears - I’ve already done. Oh, and we are confirmed for Pattaya this weekend. Could be interesting as CoCo says he’s only been there for an overnight tour in a group which went only to Walking Street. He’s not familiar with the beaches, Jomtien, or Boystown. Rest of day is errands, some work on reports for a project at home and continuing investigation of the boy agencies in Osaka. I’ll have four or five nights not committed to my Chinese friends and touring with them and their 8 year old son. The post in the Forum’s Gay Japan section entitled “List of gay brothels…” caught my attention when I was thinking about this trip. As a result, I did and am continuing doing research. Several agencies are only in Osaka (where I be based); some are both local and national. I looked at 15 but narrowed my focus to Fragrance-boy.com and Chancesosaka.jp sites which have English versions, English translations, quality pictures, links to reviews and boy’s twitter, and comments from the boy and the manager. They respond to questions (Chance even sending additional photos). The boy’s work schedule is up for the week ahead, it appears to will be easy (?) to book, pricing is right on the page. What the boys are willing to do or not do and how good they are judged to be at their individual skills, rooms at agency, or at your home, or in a hotel, or a love hotel? - all these non-Thai informational channels have pulled me down a time sucking- hole. Time to pull myself out of this hole, doing something outside in the fresh air, then return to my report. Three items tonight: dinner, drinks, and clubbing.

  15. Spent a few weeks in Manila and Boracay. This section isn’t very active, so thought I’d type up a quick report. Stayed in Makati in Manila, near the red light district. I would avoid this area. It’s very congested with traffic and filled with people asking for money and trying to sell you viagra and cialis on the streets. It’s not dangerous, but a stark difference when compared to BGC. Public transit is poor in the city so you will be taking Grab a lot. Walking is harder than in other Asian countries due. The traffic flow made more sense in Vietnam than here, for example. Sometimes the traffic light would be red, yet a traffic attendant would still be directing traffic to keep moving, even as a group of pedestrians tried to cross on a walk signal. It literally makes no sense, so don’t try and comprehend it. There is no “rule.” Even motorcycle drivers seem less capable of navigating around pedestrians as compared to Vietnam, where as long as you keep a steady pace, you can cross even the busiest streets. Most hotels have security/doormen. If you invite anyone over, they will often take the ID of your guest and register them in a log book. When the guest leaves, you will be checked on and made sure you’re okay before the guest is allowed to leave. You can get past this by walking your guest in and out, but if you are nervous of people knowing your business, keep in mind that it’s impossible to be discreet. I used Grindr only while here. It’s very active. In Makati, there were tons of profiles less than 500m away. If you are white, you will get 50 messages per day or more. the typical conversation goes like “Hello, where are you staying? What are you doing? Can I come now?” They don’t ask for photos or nudes or talk for long. If you’re white, they want you regardless of age or weight or dick size or sex position. Almost everyone is a “top.” The men are… well, not my type. When compared to other Asian countries, the men on the apps are young and cute-faced, with either thin bodies or chubby bodies. Their dicks are often quite small, 3-5” in length, but usually on the thicker side. Every is circumcised. They are often quite poorly done. The sex skill seems to be quite poor as well. Many tops (and even bottoms) will cum in a few minutes. Or they will fuck for a minute, take a break, fuck for a minute, take a break, etc. Many are into side fun, either cuddling or just receiving a blowjob. Normally I am for this, but the dicks are often not fun to suck due to their length and thickness. “Moneyboys” are available, or as they say, MT, or massage therapist. Many will offer you massage and extra services, where you pay one price for a massage, one price for a massage and sucking, and another price for massage and penetration. While I have no qualms with paying, I found it hilarious the guys offering these services. Often they were quite ugly, older, or very chubby. As someone who pays for big dicks or muscular builds, I could not find either for free OR paid. 200+ unique profiles messaged me, so it wasn’t due to lack of options. Many men are discreet here. They will either have no photo, a photo of scenery, an older photo from 10 years ago, or bad photos of themselves. Many times you will ask for nudes and they say “I don’t have.” You have a phone, right? Instead they will push you to come immediately. Avoid these encounters. If you invite someone over, expect them to stay a while, or try. Expect questions like “do you have a boyfriend?” Or “can we be boyfriends?” Within minutes of meeting. If you have sex, it’s not uncommon for them to say they love you. If they message you, be upfront about not being interested, otherwise they will continuously message you every single day, and sometimes even find your social media profiles and reach out there. I did not see a lot of foreigners in Manila. Many said they go to the islands. In Boracay though, it was the exact same. Many say the options are better here. This was not the case. While some of the locals are quite hot, dark skinned, lean and somewhat muscular, a little rough around the edges, these are the straight boat men. On the apps, it’s the same. Chubby, or older, or very young, and clingy. The beaches are beautiful and you don’t get harassed as much as other beach destinations, but this country is not one I’d go to for sex. Unless you are looking for smaller dicks, boys that will cling to you like you’re a trophy, and headaches, I’d say this is not your place.

  16. In the photo below a still of a video on YouTube which shows Boyztown in 1999 If I compare this with the current buildings most current buildings don't appear to be there. Look at the building where now Boyz Boyz Boyz is and the Ambiance hotel, these appear to be different buildings now. Also at the front far left side you see a brown/black building but I don't recognize its shape at all (compare for example with Google street view). Also if you look good the building where now Panorama bar is, looked totally different and there is a big building at the far end (we only see its top floor) that isn't there anymore at all. Anyone knows that indeed after 1999 a lot of demolition and construction happened in Boyztown? It also appears the Copa hotel is relatively new. I think it came into being only after 2005? I don't mean the building itself, but the hotel. Another strange thing. The Boyztown sign changes every few years. I wonder why. I first arrived in 2014 and I am already at my third sign. But before there were at least 2 others (if I search google for older photos). I assume the local hotel and bar owners pay for this sign, but why replace it with a new one every few years? They make so much money that they don't know what to do with it and just decide to make a new sign again? Here the photo from 1999:https://drive.google.com/open?id=13SS426fWEmZE7f0mV24wubFLCUNOqU6S&usp=drive_fs Edit: From a Japanese website I have this: In 1980, Suttham Phanthusak, a successful foreign exchange entrepreneur in Pattaya, invested in Wichai’s transgender show. The show gradually developed into the internationally renowned Tiffany’s Show. Meanwhile, Michael Burchall bought the Cockpit Bar, a go-go bar and restaurant for gay men, and reopened it in 1985. Other bars and restaurants were subsequently added to the same street where the Cockpit Bar was located, and around 1989, the bar owners decided to name the street Boyztown - the first gay town in Pattaya

    60-days on arrival waiver

people like to complain about everything. Mr. Fisher can stay for his 5 years , no worries while people using new rules don't know if in year or three rules may be changed. That's first. Second, as with all investments sometimes we win , sometimes we lose. We all bought non-refundable tickets or book non-refundable hotel rooms only to see them going on 30% off sale 4 days later . Or bought a visas only to see requirement removed week later. Moses post underscores it. As for 'new' tax rules, quite a few complaining expats are screaming murder not realising that those mirror exactly rules at their own country. Definitely my case ( rules , not screaming)

Actually, that's a good idea. Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff is promoting an $8M Gaza fundraising campaign Now imagine that. Jared, son of the last POTUS, goes off and makes a $2 billion dollar deal with the people who slice and dice journalists. Kamala and Doug's daughter goes off and does something to help innocent children who are the victims of Bibi's bloodbath. Israel and what they are doing to Gaza is a horrific mess. But I'd be proud to have Doug and Kamala's daughter representing my nation, and some sliver of hope. Naturally, the right-wing Post quotes some right-wing Republican saying these efforts to help innocent children who are being slaughtered are "abhorrent". They didn't talk about how Jared's efforts to get rich off his public service are abhorrent, though. Wonder why?

    60-days on arrival waiver

From Pattaya Mail Expats angry at huge concessions in latest Thai visa announcements By Barry Kenyon Longstay expats with expensive visas say the new 60 days visa-exempt policy and the 180 days Destination Thailand Visa have made the Elite visa and the annual extensions of stay for retirement and marriage worthless. Geoffrey Fisher, a Brit who recently paid 900,000 baht (about 20,000 UK pounds) for the five year Elite visa said he had wasted his money as more or less anyone can now stay in Thailand almost indefinitely for a paltry sum. The disenchanted argue that the 60 days visa-exempt can evidently be extended at local immigration for 30 days more followed by a border run to start the whole process again. Some immigration officers at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport have allegedly told new arrivals they can now do as many border runs as they like. Separately, the five years and multi-entry Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) offers 180 days on entry for 10,000 baht (around 200 UK pounds) plus the chance to extend for a further 180 days. The process can then be repeated by briefly leaving the country. American expat Dan Silverman, who holds a yearly extension based on retirement, said, “It’s just ridiculous. I have to keep 800,000 baht in a Thai bank, obtain medical insurance, face ever-changing regulations and regularly report my Thai address throughout the year, or be fined.” He added, “And for what, when you can come and go as you please with the new visas?” Views such as this are currently being voiced widely on social media as expats digest the latest visa announcement. Of course, the critics may be over-reacting. Information officially published so far does not specify the number of times the visa-exempt discretion may be used. The DTV requires a cash bond or other proof of 500,000 baht. It is principally aimed at digital nomads and freelancers working for foreign companies (not Thai based) and applicants are expected to show to embassies contracts of employment or portfolios of work undertaken. Yet the foreign affairs ministry also accepts DTV applications from participants in Thai “soft power” activities such as Thai cooking classes, Muay Thai training, medical treatment, music festivals or seminars. Although applicants have to show some relevant documentation on application, there is wide concern about the ambiguities. One expat with a one year marriage extension said, “Would an appointment letter from a hospital for extracting your teeth enable you to get 180 days plus an extension of 180 days? Does a foreigner learning Thai cuisine need five years to learn how to cook?” Immigration consultants say that the basic problem is that the foreign affairs ministry controls visas from embassies, but the immigration bureau under the interior ministry is responsible for extensions and what happens after arrival. Immigration lawyer Jessataporn Bunnag said, “The DTV throws a great deal of responsibility on embassies to check out initial applicants and on the immigration bureau to monitor extensions and repeats.” He expected some clarification once the impact of the changes had been analyzed. Meanwhile, the Bangkok Post suggests that questions may be emailed to deeperdiveThailand@gmail.com Next week that newspaper will interview Narunchai Niddad, deputy director of consular affairs at the foreign affairs ministry. One is bound to wonder how many of the beneficiaries of the new visas will understand that, once they are in Thailand for six months or more in a calendar year, they become tax residents of Thailand and subject to the income tax policy of the Thai Revenue Department. Whatever that is.

  28. Until a few days ago, I was not even aware Mark Halperin was still around. I loved Game Change and all the political reporting Halperin and John Heilemann did together. Until Halperin got whacked, appropriately, by Me Too. Anyway, Halperin sure seems to have kept all his political contacts. So he has both podcast and YouTube group chats posted off his X account that are fascinating inside looks as this tragedy plays out. Most of what he's putting out there is being confirmed by other sources, like CNN and MSNBC. Although some of it is speculative. And some of it is probably being fed to Halperin, as well as others, to try to force Biden's hands. Jon Meacham quickly rebutted the idea that he is helping Biden write a speech dropping out. So based off his YouTube tonight, if Halperin is right, two things are clear. One, Biden will not resign, because he does not want to slink away. That makes sense for personal reasons, of course. But if he feels that way, it also helps end the fight and patch things up, I'd guess. Presumably, he wants to do what you said: take credit for all his accomplishments, building back from Trump's wreckage. Which no Democrat disputes. And he wants to be the outgoing President who looks on as his Democratic successor, Kamala Harris, is sworn in in January. If that is where he is, or is getting to, in his mind it gives everyone a reason to have to figure out how to end this and create a path out of hell. Two, there is a consensus that Kamala Harris has to be the nominee. But even her own people get that it does not make sense to coronate her. If that is true, it's likely they don't even have a clue what that means - yet. But it's logical that anyone who understands how campaigns work and money works, and how the base of the party works, would reach this conclusion pretty quickly. Halperin is already saying that Newsom and Shapiro and Whitmer will not challenge Kamala. Which also makes sense, since no one wants to get in the way of an organically unified "Trump must not win" steamroller. It makes sense that if Biden says he is not the nominee, Biden/Harris delegates who are pledged to that ticket would naturally tend to vote for Kamala. So it may be like the Democratic primary: not technically a coronation, but not a real fight. Halperin made lots of other interesting comments based on saying he has known Harris for over a decade. First, he thinks it would not necessarily be good for her to have to get up to speed both as a new POTUS, and as a new nominee, at the same time. That has never happened before, to my knowledge. Ford and LBJ and Truman, to name the last three, had at least a year, not months, to get used to being POTUS first. He also said she's going to have to be a better Kamala than the one she has been to win, but he sees her capable of doing that. Not sure what that means, either. But I took it as mostly a positive from a very hard assed political observer. A final point he made about Kamala is that she needs to come up with a few new policy proposals that distinguish her from Biden. Makes sense. Abortion will be one of her main rallying cries, for sure. But there are other issues I have heard her speak passionately about. Crime could actually be one of them. She has spent the majority of her political career as a successful and respected crime fighter. That may now be a plus, unlike in 2020 when BLM was rocking. Biden would also want to be the elder statesman and outgoing leader who stopped Trump once and who will now help stop him again. Who keeps the nation focused on everything he says (now somewhat incoherently, if we are being honest) about preserving democracy. But that's a plus to me. It is a good message for him, even if it is garbled these days. And he will of course want Harris, not Trump, to win. Even if he goes to the grave hating Obama and Pelosi and Schumer and knowing it should have been him instead. Denial is a powerful thing. 😉 I know nothing about Jill Biden. And maybe it is sexist to blame Joe's problems on his wife. But if I accept the plausible idea that Joe can't see his own weaknesses and decline, Jill could have helped it getting this far out in public. And if it keeps going further, it adds to the Republican argument that Biden has to resign now. Moulton said in an editorial today that his buddy Joe Biden didn't even recognize him recently. If every POTUS had to quit because he failed to recognize someone, we'd never have a POTUS. And Trump of course is not held accountable by his party for anything. But I'm guessing right now Hunter Biden is just being bat shit crazy and Jill Biden, who could be guiding Joe out of his own worst instincts, is instead probably reinforcing them. One final interesting point about what Halperin said: Mark Kelley. That's the name Halperin said is being thrown around a lot as a running mate, especially by Republicans. I assume he means Never Trump Republicans. Or maybe he means pro-Trump Republicans who are just willing to be honest about their objective read on what Democrats should do if they want to win. But it obviously would have a lot of upside in terms of balancing a ticket and also keeping Arizona in play. And Kelley would be a huge plus talking about what we need to do on immigration. Although I'd put Shapiro and Whitmer and The Rust Belt first, probably. That's a problem for down the line. Lots of ifs, and way too early to tell. But it looks like Team Pelosi may have once again shown she can pull a political rabbit out of a hat. Ironically, Nancy Pelosi is three years older than Biden. But she is out-organizing the hell out of him!

And no less attractive than the performers. I'd explored Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya but CM was different, pleasantly so. However, I can also understand floridabob's post. The GOP Are Iditots

Well, it's not like the media has been reluctant to air Trump's dirty laundry. Sounds hard to believe, but some conservatives believe the MSM is actually really tough on Trump? Who's a thunk. One nice thing about the Biden mutiny is it does show the MSM is more than happy to eat their own. Of course, Biden is not the property of the MSM. But if the "liberal media" takes Biden down, it makes it hard for Fox News types to argue there is a vast left-wing conspiracy. I think Allan Lichtman argues this the best. He attacks the media for aiding and abetting Trump. But he always adds the magic words: ratings. It's a but like saying any capitalist would be happy to sell a socialist the rope they will use to hang them. The media loves Trump for the ratings, even if it helps elect Trump and he then goes after the media. There is every reason to think the way Trump attacked the MSM in first term will be child's play in Project 2025 America.

  37. A Harris/Trump matchup could be quite interesting.... The Prosecutor vs The Felon...... One has to check their schedule for the debate, and the other has to check with their parole officer.

  38. You know, unlike @EmmetK, you are actually good at facts. So you should know that right now I am hardly in "Nobody but Biden" camp. I hope he resigns, Kamala steps up as POTUS, and she wins in November. The polls, like the one I just cited above, said that is eminently doable. The Gen Z. thing is interesting. I don't think we will know for sure until election day. (Note to Russians: US elections are real, and we actually do NOT know the outcome of elections before they happen.) So there's this idea that Zoomers are turning to Republicans, because they are reacting against Biden. And there's this separate but related idea that in democracies all over the world, young women are turning left while young men are turning right. South Korea is a great example, and there are lots of articles about the gender war there. So maybe it is age. Or maybe it is a gender gap. Or maybe it is some of both. So I'll cite a YouGov poll that shows Trump beating Biden by 5 and Harris by 3 as a few granular examples. When asked how much they are thinking about the Presidential race, 76 % of voters over 65 years old say a lot. Only 48 % of voters under 30 do. And I think the RNC spoke for itself. If you put some video on Tik Tok that lasts 60 seconds or so with Trump and White guys with muscles doing guy shit, and then have Hulk Hogan rip his shirt off and it is all very cool, and it is awesome, and like wow that guy is fucking tough, and like this is badass fucking testosterone, well I don't know maybe that is how young guys say, "Fuck! Trump survived a bullet! I'm in!" Sadly, these guys are missing out on all the fun stuff. If they lived in Russia, they could be super lucky and super badass and be sent to Ukraine by Genocide Man to be processed into fertilizer. So I guess they don't really even know what they are missing, since they maybe see the world through Tik Tok and wrestling. 91 % of voters over 65 say they definitely will vote. Only 65 % of voters under 30 say they will definitely vote. I'm pretty sure Black college students who are passionate about Biden/Harris will vote. I'm pretty sure it's the guys who like Tik Tok and Hulk Hogan and think Trump is badass who are a lot less likely to vote. Meanwhile, among voters aged over 65, Trump beats Biden 58/41. Among voters under 30, Biden beats Trump 60/38. That huge age gap is comparable to 2020, if these polls are right. The polls that show a much closer race among Zoomers, including ones that show Trump and Biden are roughly tied among Zoomers, tend to come from certain polling outfits, like a Harris poll done by Mark Penn. I have no clue why. It has to have something to do with polling methodology. He tends to have the most pro-Trump polls. And I think it may have to do with counting these marginal young voters who are actually the least likely to vote. I don't know. But we will all learn when people actually do go vote who got it right and who was way off. We do know in 2020 that the age gap was huge, and young voters overwhelmingly sided with Biden and Harris. In the same poll, voters under 30 say they would vote for Harris over Trump by a 62/37 margin (25 points, compared to +20 points for Biden among voters under 30). So that suggests that having a younger and more exciting candidate might help Democrats even more with young voters. But mostly voters under 30 clearly want a Democrat over Trump, if these polls are right. There's a few other things I will mention that seem to explain what is going on here, but that I don't think anyone knows for sure. I have cited polls before that show that that the Zoomers who are most pro-Trump are the ones who are the least likely to vote, and most likely to say politics doesn't even matter. The Zoomers who are most likely to vote are overwhelmingly for Biden/Harris. So it is a big gamble that these young people who don't vote regularly and think politics sucks and are disaffected will go vote for Trump because he is badass or takes a bullet and survives, or whatever. Inflation sucks! That's probably how they feel, it seems, if I just watch Tik Tok and what they like. Meanwhile, the Trump campaigns speaks for itself, and its deep cynicism. It hopes to gain power just by selling the idea that, "Yeah, you are disillusioned and things suck and inflation sucks so vote for Trump and JD!!!!!!" That's a very small part of an interview between Ezra Klein and Tim Alberta of The Atlantic, who followed Trump's campaign masterminds and just wrote about their very well thought out plan, based on what Susie Wiles has proven can work in Florida. That said, it is all built on cynicism, not cement. They are not saying, "Here is what Republicans and Trump and JD Vance will do for you." It is all built on just creating disillusionment and cynicism, including about democracy itself. "Vote for Trump, because voting sucks! We won't do shit for you. But the Democrats will give you inflation and war!" That's not what they are saying, of course. But it's the basic idea. Just make people feel Democrats are the problem. The best specific example of what Wiles did in Florida is turning Latino immigrants into Republicans. They started a frenzy about how Biden wants to bring the very socialism you escaped in Venezuela or whatever to Florida. Biden is a socialist! Harris is a socialist! It worked great among recent Latino immigrants, who hate socialism. Now if instead they are working Moms and somebody said Biden was the guy who got you that child tax credit that helped pay for groceries and Republicans took it away, that would be a whole different thing. So I don't think they are building a foundation on cement. But as long as the bullshit keeps coming and there is no serious pushback, it works. Trump is hoping cynicism wins among young low information voters. That is his whole strategy. It's more than a little risky. I don't think Kamala Harris is good news for Trump, especially among young voters. If Democrats want Zoomers, I think Kamala is maybe the best choice. She is a Black Asian American woman who can passionately tell you how she will FIGHT for you. The poll I cited above says she'd beat Trump by 25 points among young voters, compared to 20 points for Biden. Beyond the polls, she is passionate about the idea that if you are a woman and if you are a minority and if you are vulnerable, what politicians decide absolutely matters. Whether they will let you get an abortion or help you with your child after she is born absolutely matters. I will FIGHT for you and that absolutely matters. How badass is that? Harris would be an antidote to the foundational strategy of the Trump 2024 campaign, which is cynicism and disillusionment.

  39. No it doesn't have staff there for that purpose. However you might make a connection with one of the staff or customers, but nothing is guaranteed. For guaranteed availability go to one of the bars down the alley beside Ram if you strike out at Ram. Sorry can't remember the names of the other couple of bars but as you face Ram they are 100 metres down the alley to the right.

On Instagram, you can send only one message. If that person replies, you can chat normally. That limitation was introduces about 2 years ago. I sent messages to dozens of profiles, no reply. They go in a sub-folder "message requests", which the receiver probably never checks. I sometimes get links to have sex with women in my "message requests". On Twitter / X you can send more message, but here as well very low rate of reply, 1 out of 20 or less. And those who did reply, it didn't lead anywhere. But for Facebook, my experiences are positive. No experience with Tiktok or reddit. When I see someone I like on Tiktok, I go to their other social media to contact them.

  44. The One (Tawan) all buttoned up, sign taken in, lights turned off by midnight . Once upon a long time ago, this section of soi 6 and turning toward Golden Cock and beyond was Twilight before Twilight. Now The One is the last vestige. Higher end restaurants, mid level dining, food carts, and a thoroughfare from Grab deliveries that’s how time moves on. Unable to alter the pace of history but honored to have memories.

  46. I was in Chiang Mai ~6months ago. Adams Apple Bar was good. They had a varied selection of guys when I went; but as with all go-go bars, the guys that are there can change like the tides. For something more along the lines of fun.. I don't think you can go wrong with RAM bar, it's a fantastic show, and different each night. I found myself going back night after night. However, Chiang Mai has an entirely different vibe to Bangkok. Expect things to be much quieter, and much less choice. Don't forget to spend some time during the day exploring the temples and coffee shops.
