If you staying in Quarter Silom you don't need any recommendation. Within 5 minutes walk , no matter whether you turn left or right you will finds yourself in paradise with 2 dozen massage shops , all with all kinds of guys sitting in front and asking for your attention. Keep walking either way another 5 minutes and you will find yourself in Patpong, second , more narrow alley is called Patpong 2 and this is where you will find Fresh Boys, Good Boy, Hot Male & Dreamboys and those bar names are telling. Visit all and you will be able to make your idea which one is the best. World famous Foodland Patpong is also there for your eating and shopping needs. Few steps further you will find gay center of Silom if not whole Bangkok - soi 4 where Banana Club barkers will greet you enthusiastically close to entrance and if you keep walking , after several restaurants and bars at end of soi you will see Jupiter bar where boys are not exactly twinks but handsome and show is entertaining. If you continue along Silom past soi 4 you will see more and more massage places with boys outside. Turn right at Thaniya , that's busy side street with Japanese flavor and at end of it you will hit Suriwong. In small alley roughly opposite of Raya hotel you will find or barkers direct you to a Moonlight bar with more handsome guys and a lot of more manly twinks. In 15 minutes if you don't stop anywhere your grand tour of the area is done . Going back to hotel you pass by more massage shops and turn into soi 6 where your hotel is . there you will find The One , former Tawan bar known for big boys but you may want to visit there and who knows? Perhaps you will like somebody there as well.

definitely if one has time my advice will be to visit all three areas if only to make own mind what is worth visiting and what is not. Our mileages may vary and so things we are looking for or enjoy. There are no go-go's , never mind very progressive ( ahem) shows on Jomtien Complex but one may find those in Boyztown. Nice Boys in Sunee is uniqe concept available only there. Jomtien Comnplex bars are open concept so it's easier to see who is available but at times are annoyingly noisy with corresponding cacophony.

Most like Walking Street is Jomtien Complex aka Supertown. A large area with many bars and massages shops but no go-go bars although there are a couple of bars with boys dancing on a stage or between the tables. Boyztown area has 5 go-go bars plus other gay bars. Sunee Plaza is a bit of a ghost town with just two go-go bars and two beer bars. But Winner Bar in Sunee has some nice lads to make it worth the visit. And there is also Nice Boys there.

3 areas: 1. Boyztown 2. Jomtien (area around Zing Resort and Spa and Agate Pattaya) 3. Sunee Plaza (though this is just a couple of gogo bars, as I understand it, and not much like Walking street)

Day 9, last one. All good things come to an end. After O left I tidied myself , packed whatever meager possession I had with me plus soap and coffee I always take home from Thailand. At 8 we had last breakfast with bkkmfj who decided to stay few more days in Bangkok. It seems he did not waste that time and got acquainted with certain Cambodian. My flight was at 12.30 and there are a lot of good things I can say about daytime flights , no matter how long. In airport it was breeze again, in 20 minutes I was already past of all procedures ready to board. 12 hours and 2 books later I was back in Amsterdam and at midnight I landed at my destination. It was only 8 days in Thailand but thinking back - it was one hell of time and certainly seemed much longer. On the day of departure , events from Pattaya , just week before seemed like very distant memory. That is advantage of being busy on vacations. When bkkmfj expressed an idea of going with me to Bangkok I was happy wsith idea but since we never spent more than few hours over drinks and bar hopping together, I had one hope – he will not turn out to be one of those people we all met on our travels - one of type which when asked ‘ so what do you want to do after lunch ?’ answer ‘ doesn’t matter” and when you say “ ok , then lets go to Golden Mount “ they immediately counter “ why not to Grand Palace?” By grace of God , we did not have any such exchanges. In fact he adhered very well to mantra I always use when travel with company – ‘ we travel together but everybody is on his own vacation” so if we need to split for hour , half or even whole day there’s no drama. Things worked very well, thank you bkkmfj. Sorry for all that hotel hoping but I’m gladly adding both Heaven’s Boutique and De Arni to my roster of places to be considered. I knew this before but this trip enforced old wisdom that it’s better not to built a trip around boys we expect or hope to see, 4 guys in Pattaya gone for good or temporarily. Two at Jupiter- the same, on eat Banana- added to the list od MIAs. And that is only first's 3 day harvest. Lesson learned and in future it will be whoever life will push my way. Dreams are good but reality even better I’m glad Senso returned back to my schedule and both guys from there compensated for those few which were missing somewhere else. There may be those who area longing to days of old when bars were full, boys dancing almost naked and drinks half price but I’m happy to report that Thailand continues to be mine of fun and digging it it’s very east and still affordable. I was in need of a print shop to make copy of visa for upcoming trip and was lucky to find one in the first block of Soi Saladeang (right side). The sign says passport photo and name of shop is Photo Unique. They also print photos. Prices are very reasonable. There used to be numerous places to get this work done when cyber cafes were popular. Mobile phones and tablets changed all that.

Your access to TV Channels and Movies(English and many more) is only limited by the subscriptions that your hotel/accomodation pay for and provide. Loads of English Language channels tend to be available in higher end accomodation. Where are you staying?

When in Pattaya, I would advise avoiding BoyzTown and Sunee Plaza at this point. Sunee is dead. BoyzTown's only activity is really Chinese women. If you want to see the gay life in Pattaya, go to Jomtien Complex. Avoid using the term "Super Town". Nobody who actually lives here knows what that is. No taxi drivers have any idea. Tom is so right about the testing things out before you commit to spending a few days together nonstop. Had a blast with a Bogota guy when we had fun at my AirBnB. Its very easy to organize as guys are happy to travel with you, go to great restaurants, bars and nightclubs; visit touristic sites, stay in nice hotels. Somehow you should test the travel partner before you commit.. if he fits as travel companion. I did not pay daily fees, but covered all the costs. Try to understand what is your motivation, if you like his company for 4-5 days when he is tired/moody/farting, how you resolve disagreements, etc. Both sides should have an open discussion on the expectations. Its a mini-marriage😀. I had 3 travel companions and i am happily single. Maybe the relationship is different when you pay daily fees, then I guess its more “yes, of course honey”.
