  1. Day 9, last one. All good things come to an end. After O left I tidied myself , packed whatever meager possession I had with me plus soap and coffee I always take home from Thailand. At 8 we had last breakfast with bkkmfj who decided to stay few more days in Bangkok. It seems he did not waste that time and got acquainted with certain Cambodian. My flight was at 12.30 and there are a lot of good things I can say about daytime flights , no matter how long. In airport it was breeze again, in 20 minutes I was already past of all procedures ready to board. 12 hours and 2 books later I was back in Amsterdam and at midnight I landed at my destination. It was only 8 days in Thailand but thinking back - it was one hell of time and certainly seemed much longer. On the day of departure , events from Pattaya , just week before seemed like very distant memory. That is advantage of being busy on vacations. When bkkmfj expressed an idea of going with me to Bangkok I was happy wsith idea but since we never spent more than few hours over drinks and bar hopping together, I had one hope – he will not turn out to be one of those people we all met on our travels - one of type which when asked ‘ so what do you want to do after lunch ?’ answer ‘ doesn’t matter” and when you say “ ok , then lets go to Golden Mount “ they immediately counter “ why not to Grand Palace?” By grace of God , we did not have any such exchanges. In fact he adhered very well to mantra I always use when travel with company – ‘ we travel together but everybody is on his own vacation” so if we need to split for hour , half or even whole day there’s no drama. Things worked very well, thank you bkkmfj. Sorry for all that hotel hoping but I’m gladly adding both Heaven’s Boutique and De Arni to my roster of places to be considered. I knew this before but this trip enforced old wisdom that it’s better not to built a trip around boys we expect or hope to see, 4 guys in Pattaya gone for good or temporarily. Two at Jupiter- the same, on eat Banana- added to the list od MIAs. And that is only first's 3 day harvest. Lesson learned and in future it will be whoever life will push my way. Dreams are good but reality even better I’m glad Senso returned back to my schedule and both guys from there compensated for those few which were missing somewhere else. There may be those who area longing to days of old when bars were full, boys dancing almost naked and drinks half price but I’m happy to report that Thailand continues to be mine of fun and digging it it’s very east and still affordable. All we need is money , nothing new here an desire to look for fun, that proverbial half full part of glass.

    A new, old massage shop

I was taking a shortcut from Rama 4 to Surawong this afternoon when I came upon signs by a sub Soi, advertising Magic Touch Massage. There was a young man standing nearby who asked if I was interested. Told him I was on my way to an appointment but I’d be interested in seeing the shop. He guided be down the short soi and turned right where the shop came into view. Without time to investigate any further, I accepted a business card, thanked him and moved on. As I walked on I jogged my memory and recalled a shop by the same name that once occupied one of the shop houses on the main sub Soi (Soi Wat Hua Lam Phong) several years past. After returning to my room later, I tried to connect via the LINE address on the card but received a message that it was oversubscribed (never seen that before). A cursory search produced a lead on the Travelgay website. https://www.travelgay.com/venue/magic-touch-by-the-tree-bangkok There’s also a Facebook page: https://en-gb.facebook.com/MagicTOUCHbangkok/ Some pics of Massuers that caught my attention: Mr. King The reviews are a bit conflicting. Some say no extras while others praise them. In any case, another shop is always welcome. Directions: The entrance to Soi Wat Hua Lam Phong is immediately to the right of Le Meridien Hotel and directly opposite Cafe Amazon on Surawong rd. Look for sign on your left.

  3. Yes, meeting Khim was the top of my trip - of course AFTER meeting with you and learning so much from your "Boot Camp" lessons. Things were so good with Khim that I paid to off him to Pattaya for some days - where the highlight was to have his gorgeous sexy body on the white sands and turquoise water of Tien beach on Koh Larn (and of course our time in my bed). Now I just need to followup with my contact with sexy and charming Alex via Line......

  6. I go with the same mantra when i travel together with someone like minded. But its hard to find one, and harder to find one and get the time aligned, so it is much easier to just travel solo, and meet other like minded travelers along the way. Even when travel with guys, i know its important to give them some alone time. This can be as simple as more time to sleep, or gym time or time for them to call their parents/family etc.

  8. Summary of my visits to bars (in alphabetical order) and my grades Banana Bar Show - B (too many ladyboy and pretty boy singing) Guys - B (too few) Dreamboys Show - A (something for everyone, thumbs up for coyote dancing) Guys - A (many guys, wide spectrum and variety) Freshboys Show - B (big cock show is too long!) Guys - A (many, many attractive twinks and twunks) Good Boy (formerly Screwboys) Show - B (campy show, can be rather fun with right crowd) Guys - B (many twinks and twunks but Freshboys are more attractive) Hot Male Show - B (decent show put up by the guys themselves) Guys - B (few guys) Jupiter Show - B (polished and professional, entertaining singers) Guys - B (handsome twunks and hunks but difficult to approach) Moonlight Show - B (professional, recently added coyote dancing on weekend nights) Guys - A (many handsome guys - not the models but the normal guys) The One (formerly Tawan) Show - B (a lot of waiting in between performances) Guys - B (I find some of the smaller sized hunks attractive but too few. Most are big sized bodybuilder types) Just my personal opinion. Hope no one gets offended. To be fair, I didn't attend the full shows for The One, Banana Bar and Hot Male. I was there for only one show each. But for the other bars, I stayed for 2 shows each during the nights I visited.

  10. From Thai Enquirer Three major cases went before the Constitutional Court last week. Of the most anticipated cases — the potential dissolution of the Move Forward Party and ouster of Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin — we received word that the court will need more time for deliberation next month. The Constitutional Court did make one major ruling, however, on the legality of the Senate election procedures. The court had received a petition claiming that the law governing how the new Senate is to be elected violated the 2017 constitution. The constitution had mandated that the election process should be as insulated as possible from political influence; the petitioners claimed that the rules did not observe the spirit of the charter. The Constitutional Court’s opinion is that the election procedures are legal. This now opens the way for a new upper house. The current election process for the Senate has never been tried before, and it has been described as perhaps the most complicated method for selecting any body of parliament in the world. It is so byzantine that I will refer you to Dr. Napon Jatusripitak’s excellent explanation for a full explanation rather than attempt to summarize it here. The gist of it, though, is this. Previously, the Senate had been fully appointed, handpicked by members of the previous military government. Now aspiring candidates were asked to apply, and they then went through multiple rounds of selection at the district, provincial, and (soon) the national levels. The candidates vote amongst themselves. It is a system has created perverse incentives for the Senate candidates. Instead of survival of the fittest the rule drafters have instead built an electoral arena more suited for the endurance of the weakest. Why support a stronger candidate if you are a weaker candidate, who will minimize your own chances of getting through? While fame and fortune is not necessarily a benchmark for senatorial capability, it is indeed odd that in the provincial round, many of the most well-known candidates did not make the cut. Former senator Rosana Tositrakul, for example, who once received the most popular votes in a senate election, was voted out. The same went for other famous politicians and media personalities. One unsuccessful candidate, Nuttaa Mahattana, put it well: “When people choose a candidate, they choose based on who they want to do the job. When candidates pick amongst themselves, they will often vote with the goal of taking themselves as deep into the selection process as they can. How would I eliminate other contenders? Who can I trade votes with?” One consequence of the fall of so many “big names” is also the difficulty in predicting how the next Senate will behave. Until we see the final list of candidates who made it through, and examine closely their previous backgrounds, we cannot speak with any certainty on how the next Senate will lean. There is already speculation, however, that former prime minister Somchai Wongsawat, a brother in law of Thaksin Shinawatra, is a possible candidate for Senate President. As it stands, he has a good chance of becoming a senator, having won the most votes in Chiang Mai so far. If that scenario is realized, that would indicate that the next Senate is likely to have a very different makeup to the current one. It could be friendlier to the current government, several of whose members were behind the ethics case against Srettha. Gone would be the final vestiges of former deputy prime minister Prawit Wongsuwan’s decisive influence over the upper house. continues at https://www.thaienquirer.com/52454/the-next-senate-will-be-very-different/

  11. Hi Reader, Many thanks for posting these update bulletins as they can become very useful. Yesterday, I had a great massage from the first guy who I met who was actually born in Pattaya (generally everyone here is from somewhere else). I had asked him if he had been to the day's prior Pride parade here in Pattaya. He had completely missed both Pride parades here in Pattaya. But, thanks to this Reader update - I was able to share with him the 30 June longest Pride parade news. He was truly happy because he will be in Bangkok in that period for job interviews. So Reader, you made a sexy Thai massage guy very happy.

  13. And this mantra Vinapu, made our time together wonderful - as we respected each other's need for "private fun time" and to not become a drag or boring to the other. I looked forward to our daily post-fun updates and meeting all of the people that you know (from this forum and also not from this forum) to get a feel of the bigger picture about how things work in Silom - Sala Deng and greater Thailand. It was truly educational.

    Hotel breakfasts

The building going up on the site of the old Dusit Thani at Silom and Rama 4 is not the site of the new hotel. That is situated adjacent to it on Rama 4. Took this photo this evening while walking Lumpinee. The architect retained the iconic top structure (bar) and spire. Building to right is part of the development.

  15. Thank you for your Massage Therapist recommendations, and I think I've found what I'm looking for at Motion Wellness, across the street from Tukcom IT mall. The therapist is a medical doctor, and is priced depending on time and various body parts involved. No Happy Ending - these are serious medial staff who treat people needing rehab therapy, and are very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend!

  16. Taking guys off for karaoke is a fun group activity and I have done it once last year and enjoyed it tremendously. The trick to ensuring a fun night is finding the right guys - those who are fun-loving and of course they love to sing! During this trip, I organised a karaoke night for some forum members. Actually I didn't do much. I just approached the Hotmale Beer Bar downstairs waiters for karaoke and they suggested the venue. (But I did have to speak personally to manager upstairs to allow 3 guys off as it would leave the bar short-handed for the night). Last year, we went to Happy Beer Garden private Karaoke room at the back of its restaurant. "Happy Beer Garden small. We go new karaoke Soi Tarntawan. Big room," they suggested. So off we went - 8 of us in total - to a building directly opposite Super A. The name is officially The Sky Restaurant but a traditional restaurant it definitely is not! We went in and on first floor was a ballroom with a stage and tables and seats. At the side of the ballroom were many ladies seated. They looked at us sweetly but we were all taken. We went upstairs to a private room. Big enough for up to 15 people. There was an en suite bathroom. Cost of room was 600 baht per hour. There was a free 1 hour deal for 2 hours of karaoke so we took it. Ended up with karaoke for 3 hours from 9pm to midnight. The guys ordered food and we even got a bottle of Absolut vodka (1800 baht with unlimited mixers). Total cost was 6k but it was a fun night. One of the guys was a big K-Pop fan so he sang K-Pop songs enthusiastically with dance moves. Forum members and I knew we couldn't sing so we let the guys sing on their own - Myanmar, Vietnamese and Korean songs. I knew some of the guys are fantastic singers but I didn't realise the other guys could sing as well - maybe it's their culture. Overall a fun night to hang out with the guys and get to know them better.

  17. Yesterday, 22 June 2024 was the Pattaya International Pride Festival 2024, with the theme "Pride for All". I have to say that I was VERY impressed and I apologize for my previous reporting, as I had implied that there may have been some "bad water" that caused Pattaya to have 2 distinct parade celebrations. After having experienced both parades and seeing how and why they were presented, it was very obvious that one event is subordinate to the other - which I had misunderstood because the Jomtien / Dongtan pride event, Pattaya Community Event, went before the much bigger Pride for All event that was held today. My bad, as I am still a newly retired person here and as a farang it is very difficult to understand everything. I also had the naïve belief that for today's parade, that Boyztown, should be the lead event. Instead, it was of minor importance, as Boyztown only had one single float out of perhaps 30 floats ?? that were in the parade, which consisted of the Castro Cabaret Show and Panorama - with their float labeled as: Boyztown Pattaya. Today's "Pride for All" event goes WAY beyond Boyztown, as it had MAJOR representation from almost all of the important Pattaya businesses, from the local hospitals, big name stores (Pattana and Central Festival), important social and political clubs, restaurants, government institutions, and what surprised me the most was the dedication of 2 floats sponsored by 2 of the most important bar complexes in soi Buakhao, LK Metro and Treetown - which are the primary heterosexual entertainment centers in Pattaya. Compared to the 2 weeks prior Jomtien parade, this parade was massive. Since the Thai government has solicited to host the 2030 World Gay Pride event in Thailand - and after seeing today's PRIDE event - I can see that Thailand will be an excellent host for this prestigious event. The parade route was from the Central Marina shopping mall, past the Terminal 21 shopping mall (which was decked out with giant pride flag decorations), and then down Beach road terminating at the Central Festival shopping mall. I joined the parade just as it was leaving the Central Marina mall area and I walked with it until about mid way on Beach road to finally be able to sit down and enjoy an iced capuccino frappe and to watch the rest of the parade pass. One of my Thai friends joined me there and then after the parade terminated we went over to Central Festival to eat dinner and then to watch the night performances of many important drag queens, famous Thai TV stars, and other wonderful performers. --> please note that the below photos were taken from the Central Pattaya facebook page, as they were of much higher quality than my more simple photos https://www.facebook.com/CentralPattayaBeach Starting point within the Central Marina mall Gay Pride flag along Beach road More of the crowd on Beach road Great to see the Thai Prime Minister, Srettha Thavisin, alongside with the Pattaya Mayor, Poramet Ngampichet together at the parade. ok, that is all for now - I may post some more pictures / videos tomorrow.

  18. Dreamboys is busy every night with customers from those who go just to watch the show and those who go to drink whisky seated in private sofas. While not fully filled to capacity, there is always a steady inflow of customers throughout the night. About 30 to 40 guys working at 9pm. By midnight, only half the guys are standing on stage because some got offs while most were drinking with big spenders. In terms of selection, Dreamboys seems to have every type for everyone. Some handsome twinks. Some well-proportioned hunks (but obviously not to Tawan standard). Also some veterans and old-timers who rarely get offs but are there to perform at shows. Show is mixture of ladyboy and big cock performances. My favourite show in all the bars because of the coyote dancing which starts the first show 10.30pm and the third show after midnight. I went 4 times and always enjoyed the coyote dancing, often tipping my favourites! One of the things I enjoy at Dreamboys is watching the guys going down to meet customers who called them. They always have wide friendly smiles. When I am seated at the side, I have a good view of everything happening. And the bar is not dark like in Freshboys where you can hardly see anything. Here at Dreamboys, you can see customers interacting with the guys, finding out more about each other and doing negotiations, sometimes using their handphones to translate. It was however unfortunate for me to see some customers behaving grotesquely. I saw a farang standing up close to the guys on stage with mamasan and pointing and "interviewing" them for a good 5 minutes. Not classy at all! In my opinion, mamasan should have called them down to the customer instead of allowing such a public display for everyone to see. I also witnessed a ridiculous Chinese customer walking up to the stage to a guy and he grabbed the guy's dick and felt the goods before telling him to go and sit with him! Because I was at Dreamboys so often, I remember the guys and notice how certain guys are buddies and are always together. There's a pair of tall guys whom I see always standing next to each other on stage. During the show, they come off the stage and sit together. I saw them while I was having dinner at Foodland at 7 plus before they report to work on subsequent days. I saw them twice and once, I was at next table. If not for the fact that I was with my guy, I would have sat and chatted with them and maybe even paid for their meal! I also saw from afar one particular guy who works at Jupiter who came into Dreamboys with his Asian looking customer on two nights. They sat at private sofa and had whisky. Mamasans and some Dreamboys guys would join them and drink together. The customer (who wears flowery beach shirt and long shorts and with gold accessories) is Jupiter guy's regular customer so when he comes to Bangkok, Jupiter guy will be away from his own bar to accompany him. This time round, customer was in town for 4 nights. I thought the customer was from China but I found out later that he was Vietnamese. Jupiter guy is popular and has many regular Asian customers who off him because he holds his drink well and he speaks Chinese well. Even though he works at Jupiter, he seldom appears there because he is always with regular customers! I did have one opportunity to meet him at Jupiter to drink and chat with him for a while. He is my regular guy's best friend and we talk and tease each other. Back to Dreamboys. I would say this bar looks to be the best bar in Bangkok in my opinion. It is well-run and its show has something for everyone. Size and layout of venue is also conducive. Seeing the constant stream of customers as well as the number of big spenders at private sofas (there was even one birthday celebration on one of the nights I was there), it might be even more profitable than Jupiter and Moonlight!

  19. Congrats Vinapu and MFJ you two are a marvel! I'm happy to hear you had a great time. I know it is hard enough to get two people organized on a trip, but I wonder if there are any couples who would also like to hang out together? My BH and I will be in Pattaya during July and August. We are both "mature" if you get my drift. Singles are great too. More friends are always welcome!

  24. From The Nation Looking back at the biggest news in the Thai capital market over the past year, the colossal fraud at Stark Corporation Public Co Ltd undoubtedly stands out, causing alarm among stock market participants. This company once had a valuation as high as 60 billion baht and was even included in the SET100 index, which lists the top 100 largest companies in the Thai stock market. Stark borrowed huge sums of money from banks and bondholders, resulting in damages amounting to tens of billions of baht to the lenders. The grand Stark fraud began when Phelps Dodge, an American electrical wire manufacturer, decided to sell its troubled Thai business. The buyer was Vanarat Tangkaravakun, the eldest heir of the TOA paint empire, for approximately 3 billion baht. However, the deeper aspects of acquiring the electrical wire manufacturing business involved a key aide, Chanin Yensudchai, who masterminded the deal. Chanin, a former executive of Phyathai Hospital, had experience in business acquisitions and assisted Vanarat in strategising the business takeover. Phelps Dodge's Thai operations had been plagued by losses, but surprisingly, in just a few years after Vanarat’s acquisition, the company was in the black. By 2019, Vanarat decided to list Phelps Dodge on the Thai stock market, not through a typical IPO but through a process called reverse takeover, also known as “backdoor listing”. continues at https://www.nationthailand.com/business/trading-investment/40039046

  26. From The Nation Preparation is under way for LOVE PRIDE ♥ PARADE 2024, the kingdom’s longest pride parade, scheduled for June 30 in downtown Bangkok to mark the conclusion of Pride Month, which has been celebrating gender diversity and equality of the LGBTQIAN+ communities since June 1. Pride Month this year is extra-special in Thailand now that it has become the first ASEAN country to legalise same-sex marriage. The Senate approved the Equal Marriage Bill during final deliberation on Tuesday (June 18), and the law is expected to be in effect around the end of the year. The LOVE PRIDE ♥ PARADE 2024 project is organised under a collaboration among the government, public agencies and private sector comprising more than 100 corporations and organisations. Held under the concept “Love, Equality, Peace”, the event aims to complement the government’s policy of making Thailand a global pride-festival destination and an entertainment hub of Asia. The policy is part of the government’s Ignite Thailand initiative, which aims to make the country a hub for tourism, medical treatment, food, aviation, logistics, electric vehicles, digital economy and finance by 2030. The Mall Group, one of the organisers of the parade, has said that LOVE PRIDE ♥ PARADE 2024 would be the longest parade in Asia. The parade will start at 4pm on Sunday June 30 at the National Stadium in Pathum Wan district. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin will preside over the opening ceremony, the company said. The parade will then proceed along Rama I Road through Pathum Wan Intersection, Siam Square, Ratchaprasong Intersection, Phloen Chit Road, Asoke Intersection, and Sukhumvit Road for a distance of around 6 kilometres, before ending at Benchasiri Park, where a concert will be held from 6.30pm onward.

I'll leave that to experts that do this as a job. https://www.migrationpolicy.org/article/frequently-requested-statistics-immigrants-and-immigration-united-states-2024 Worldwide, the United States is home to more international migrants than any other country, and more than the next four countries—Germany, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and the United Kingdom—combined, according to the most recent UN Population Division data, from mid-2020. While the U.S. population represents about 5 percent of the total world population, close to 20 percent of all global migrants reside in the United States.

  33. Some discoveries about the bars and guys that I made during trip: 1) There are brothers working in same bar! One brother told me that he had kinky 3somes with customer and his brother! 2) Guys move frequently. I know of at least 3 personally. A waiter who was at Freshboys in October last year went to Sol Bar in December and is now at Jupiter (probably because Sol closed down). A good-looking tall guy who was at Dreamboys is now at Jupiter happily entertaining the ladies. I would say it's a promotion for him! A cute Laos guy whom I off from Freshboys is now at Moonlight and I took him back one night. 3) Some guys are married with kids and they don't tell customers - even their regular customers for many years!

  37. Day 7 Known quality is known quality. As they say , S never disappoints and never ask for extra money, taxi etc. Since my room is without breakfast we went for one to Foodland, time honored habit. Rest of morning lazy but at 2 pm I decided to check Senso again, 3rd day in row. Guy behind the counter sported very wide smile seeing me, such a loyal customer. My smile was even wider because I saw that Leo, my guy from two days before was free so we climbed stairs to the same room we were in last time. As it often happens second time was even more rewarding then first as we knew bit about ourselves already. May be massage part was bit shorter , but second part bit longer so it levelled itself off. Certainly he was my best discovery this trip. Good English was a bonus and we talked a lot. So Senso definitely is back in my good books. For good while it was my best massage shop in Bangkok. Today I finally made decision of that 10000 a night offer I was contemplating for last few days and decided not to pursue it. Fiscal discipline and stuff. I contacted Y and he promised to show up at 9 so I knew another great meet up is in the cards. Bkkmfj and me decided to try A’s restaurant again. Now we had a picture so there was no fear we may miss it and off for dinner we went. Restaurant is small, 4 tables only and for such small place has impressive list of dishes. A was not there but since I announced our arrival by Line staff already told us he will be there soon. And indeed he showed up. Did not lose anything from his impressive musculature but what we noticed on the pics we took was something looking like wedding ring on his finger. So it looks like that restaurant may be mean of him settling down being chained to some girl ( I guess girl since he always boasted about how straight he is). We spent quite a while there, I promised to visit every time I ‘ll be in Bangkok and who knows , perhaps he still will be available to go with some of his loyal patron from the past I hopefully thought to myself. Y lined at 9 pm on the dot he is already downstairs so I went to pick him up, before everything I gave him 500 for off fee he paid to the bar already and another paradisiac session started. Among his many advantages is fact that I’d like to be with him even if for some reason he would stay fully dressed throughout. Fortunately we never managed to climb such heights of perversion but I’m saying , just in case. There is something in him I like very a lot ! Since he is shackled with girl and must be home at certain time apparently because she like s to dine with him that late/ early he left at 3 am. To make sure he will be home there was phone at about 2.40 but al that was explained earlier and expected so no drama. Energized I decided to do late night survey of the area just curious if that late one still can get lucky. Thainya and soi 4 were deserted although I saw some people still entering completely darkened Banana Club, in Patpong 2 I met two HotMale Beer bar waiters including famous Alex going home after end of their shift, few people were eating in Foodland but nobody of interest and in soi6 in front of one shop there were 2 cute boys who offered massage but I felt I had enough of day today and I politely declined claiming I’m shy and tired. And this is how day 7 was over

  40. Day 6 Apart from mine stamp collection we also perused photos from s’s brother wedding and I noticed that one of guests is certain B , one of guys I missed when in Jupiter. Normally I wouldn’t do it but since we spend so much time together with S over few trips I asked him if he can help me to find that guy. Funny thing , guy whose English is quite good and certainly conversational all of the sudden had problem of understanding me, in second try , in the morning the same so I got the message and did not press issue after that. At noon Bkkmfj and me went to Raya , hotel hoping is over and we will be staying there till end of our trip. Since they were quite strict with 3 pm check in time we did not expect miracles but , likely to low season or perhaps today being Sunday our rooms were available right away. Assignment was very strategic , rooms on the same floor but at opposite ends of corridor , security and discretion all in one. My room facing Suriwong was quite dark owing to this fancy thing on hotel’s façade but it also made it more quiet. At 3 another trip to Senso , unfortunately my hero Leo was already with client so I took another one who was smiling at me. I will leave his nick out of the story but must say in my 30+ trips to Thailand , seeing many buys old and young, fat and skinny, you name it I never saw anybody with such neat anal area. If somebody would take a pics and posted here it’s guaranteed that we all would swear it must be one of Moses’s AI generated guys or at least good photoshop job. Massage was great but afters were bit unenthusiastic but he was happy with my mutilating just did not respond in kind as much as Leo was yesterday. But for that bum I’d take him again and again. Next step was Siam Heritage hotel, they have restaurant on ground floor which serves chicken with cashew but I wanted to try. Almost twice as costly as Foodland’s one and made to bit different recipe as chunks of chicken were fried rather than cooked, way I like , on another hand they bit of overdid it with salt and oil but that was not a reason I did not finish it – serving was simply way to big for one person. At 7 pm I was expected certain O, freelance masseur I once got Line of so arranged for him to come and mutilate me a bit. It was not about massage , I like his personality and a body, he is not malnourished skeleton but also not oversized weightlifter, in short he is a hunk. I met him before and tried to entice him for long time but he always declined but this time I got a word from somebody in the know that he may be amendable to make an exception to his time stingy habit. So somewhere between Tuvalu and Lesotho stamps I asked and answer was immediate and very enthusiastic YES. Almost as he expected it or/and would be primed I will ask again as I did to no effect in the past. He said not today nor tomorrow because some arrangements but after tomorrow suited us me well. Part I liked the most was when I asked about compensation – he said whatever you give me I will be happy. Whoa ho !. It was raining quite heavily buy Raysa is just steps from Moonlight so off Bkkmfj and me went there. Again very welcomed reception, N was nowhere to be seen and I, likely happy that I managed to nail O for that LT after tomorrow was not in offing mood which can’t be said about my companion. When outside my brain started working again and I decided to opt for known and tried . Went to S’s bar hoping he will be there and he was so we have repeat of last night again. No , I left B issue aside and did not bother him but I had faint hope he may mention the issue but to no avail. Known quality is known quality so we had great time again to conclude quite busy and esthetically pleasing day 6.

  41. Hotmale had about 12 to 15 guys. Similar small set-up as Banana Bar. But all shows are performed by the Hotmale guys themselves. Few customers on a Friday night. Forum member who went with me on a Friday night multiple bar visit finally found his guy from Hotmale - someone he was already familiar with. Personally, I rarely visit Hotmale because I am already smitten by Hotmale Beer Bar waiters downstairs. 😛 Good Boy's change of name from Screwboys is not the only change. The guys have stopped wearing basketball singlet and shorts. They are wearing white boxers briefs and trunks and showing their chests. In terms of show, it remains the same. Lots of diva ladyboys singing but the audience loves them, especially a group of 4 drunk Taiwanese customers seated at the back one particular night. They were singing along enthusiastically and waving the lights in their handphones as if they were attending a concert. Many guys at Good Boy - 30 to 40 all packed into the tiny bar. I was there for 3 nights and went away with 2 different offs on 2 nights - one Vietnamese and one Laos.

  42. Banana Bar had few guys on stage. Fewer than 10. Average size guys. Show starts at 9.30pm or when there's enough customers. Customers are mostly straight tourist couples or groups. During my visit, I even saw a lesbian farang couple. Show includes shower show as there is a shower with glass screen at back corner of stage. But boy performances are outnumbered by the diva ladyboy singing. There's also 2 male heartthrob singers. What I didn't like is the performers going around audience asking for tips. I was at Banana Bar only once on an early Friday night. The bar seems successful as it is targeted at customers who want to watch a show. Freshboys is the opposite of Banana Bar. It only has a few diva ladyboy singing. There's a shower show same as Banana Bar. These are the only two bars in Bangkok with shower show and even the cheoropgraphy and music are similar! Freshboys has lots of big cock shows including the cock hitting the metal pole. I can confirm that the guys don't use their knees to knock the pole and make the loud hitting sound. It's really their cocks hitting the pole! Ouch! Many many guys at Freshboys. About 30 to 40 every night. What I like about Freshboys is that the guys line up in ascending number when they stand on stage e.g. 1, 2. 3 etc. So it helps with remembering the numbers of the guys. At other bars, the numbers seem random. My one complaint about Freshboys is that it is very dark. Many customers at every show. But most leave after show and don't off the guys. Waiters can be rather direct in asking for tips. Majority of guys and waiters are Vietnamese. I have one regular guy (number 25) who recently started work at Freshboys last week after being away from the scene for many months (he used to be at Dreamboys last year but he was let go after the bar only wanted Thais to work). He's doing well. In just his first week, he has been getting drinks, tips and offs from Chinese customers because he's the only one in the bar who can speak Mandarin. His best friend taught him many useful phrases. I tease him because I know in reality, his Chinese is so limited!

  43. Jupiter has more customers than Moonlight, including casual straight tourists who are there just to watch the shows and enjoy the model walks. Regular singer Poppy is away for 2 weeks. Mamasan said that he went for facelift! So his partner PJ is singing on his own. Jupiter has policy of reserving best seats for customers who buy bottles. Hence, I invested in one bottle of Jonnie Walker and had good seats for the 3 nights I was there. I was there with forum member on one night and we both agreed that some of the waiters are more yummy than the models. When I asked about off fee and expected tip for waiters, mamasan said, "Off fee 500 baht. Tip 3000 baht. But can only go with customer after show finish at 1 a.m." We have to wait to off them? Needless to say, we didn't off any waiter. We sat and drank with two models and it was an entertaining hour with them. We tipped them for their time before heading to another bar.

  44. I was at Hotmale Beer Bar downstairs facing Sol Bar on its last night of operation. There were ladyboy performers standing outside to attract customers. It did not look it would be closing. But the very next night, it was totally closed. "Bar close," one of the Hotmale Beer Bar waiters said. "But it was busy yesterday night. Why bar close?" I asked. Waiter just shrugged his shoulders. Without Sol Bar, that part of Gay Patpong has become much quieter. Moonlight has few customers during the two nights I was there. Babe and models are there but they are not appearing in as many performances as usual. There are some performances where the "normal" Moonlight guys would dance next to the ladyboy singing. From my conversation with manager, it seems they are cutting costs. The bar can pay less per performance for the "normal" Moonlight guys as compared to paying for the models. Even though there are few customers, there are still big spenders. I was seated near to a trio of Chinese customers - two guys and a lady. When it was time to pay, I saw the bill - 16,200 baht!

+1 I don’t believe there’s a location in Bangkok where the boys are more approachable and friendly than Silom Soi 6.

  46. From The Thaiger By Bob Scott A deaf shoeshiner in Pattaya has captured the admiration of netizens for his perseverance and dedication. Known as Kai, his story surfaced online after a local journalist saw him cleaning a tourist’s shoes on Pattaya Beach. Kai earns his living by offering shoe cleaning services to tourists. Despite being deaf and mute, he communicates with customers using a sign that reads, Hiring Clean Shoes. Each day, he arrives at the beach equipped with his shoe-cleaning tools: a brush, towel, and polish, ready to work. Charging 60 baht per pair, Kai meticulously cleans and polishes shoes, transforming them from sandy and worn to pristine condition. His dedication and attention to detail often leave his customers highly satisfied. The journalist who spoke with Kai using sign language noted the quality of his work and his commitment to his craft. Despite his hearing disability, Kai has managed to build a loyal clientele, especially among foreign tourists who appreciate his diligence and the high standard of his service. His story stands as a testament to the power of determination and hard work in overcoming life’s challenges.

  47. There is also a shoe shiner who primarily works in Jomtien for many years. Known him for a long time but not many guys wear leather shoes anymore so his business is down but he does clean up sneakers/trainers/athletic shoes. Give him a try when in the Complex.

  48. A small review of the Pattaya Community Pride 2024 event which took place yesterday, 8 June 2024. The parade route started from the famous Colosseum Show Pattaya building on Thepprasit road and wound its way onto Thappraya road until its termination point at our beloved gay Dongtan beach. I believe that this marching route is approximately 2km and should take approximately 24 minutes under normal walking circumstances. Fellow forum member, JD100 and I arrived around 5pm to the Dongtan beach police box and the parade was just starting to arrive at its destination. This is where it started at the Colosseum: This is where it ended at Dongtan beach. Parade arriving into the Dongtan beach area. 20240608_171008.mp4 Then for like 2 hours there were people up on the stage talking about a million things (90% in Thai). Many important local gay people, drag queens, parade organizers, SWING presenters and staff, Pattaya mayor, etcetra. --> I believe that the Pattaya mayor is the gentleman seated with the rainbow spiral t-shirt. Then the speeches concluded and the fireworks started. By this moment - around 7pm, JD100 and I were hungry so we went to get a bit to eat in the nearby SINT restaurant. Unfortunately, I discovered today that once the presenters and politicians got off the stage they transformed the stage into a type of best drag/ladyboy competition and then with some cool bands and dancing ensued. Screen_Recording_20240609_172604_X.mp4 After dinner, we entered the Jomtien Supertown Complex at the Thappraya entrance (where the Poseidon is) and there was a stage at the entrance and it was heaving with people dancing. Then we strolled through the complex towards The Venue and then at the turn left - there was another stage setup with music and people dancing. We got past that to our final destination at the junction with Soda Massage where there was another stage of people dancing and having a ton of fun. So, we plopped ourselves here to watch the fun and participate somewhat. In summary, I was VERY impressed - as this was my FIRST Gay Pride event in Thailand since retiring here 18 months prior. Everything was well organized, very entertaining, and too many things to do (which is good) - as you could not be everywhere in one moment - especially with the 4 entertainment stages that were setup - 3 inside the Supertown complex and 1 over at the Dongtan beach. I believe that the Thai government has petitioned to host the 2030 World Pride - and I participated as a volunteer in the year 2000 World Pride event when I lived in Rome, Italy, and it is estimated that we had close to 1 million visitors for that event. So, if Thailand can do the same for 2030 that will be amazing. If I am still here in 2029/2030 I will definitely volunteer my time towards this event - especially in the area of putting things in English - as this Pattaya Community Pride 2024 event was starved of available information in English. I will try to report on the NEXT 2nd Pattaya PRIDE festivities that are scheduled for 22 June 2024 under the label = "Pride for All". If any of you have a clue about why: there is this fracture within the Pattaya gay community = 2 separate gay pride parades and festivals, Boyztown is absent in the celebration of these events. Please let us all know. A similar fracture occurred in Rome, Italy during the years 1999/2000 leading up to the year 2000 World Pride event, when the gay community split into 2 distinct factions: Circolo Mario Miele and the associated Muccassasina, Arcigay. https://www.wikipink.org/index.php/World_Pride_Roma_2000 Many say that the Vatican had their fingers in this gay splinter because they were angry with the gay community to organize the FIRST World Pride ever during the same year as the Catholic Jubilee. What happened in Pattaya ?
