Day 8 As it turned out neither bkkmfj nor me had breakfast companions so he invited me to use fact that his breakfast included in room rate was for 2 people. Then I visited Silom market, post office on Charoen Krung and XOne to make last money exchange and returned to the room . At 12.30 we were supposed to meet with reader at Unesco but they were surprisingly busy and reader suggested we move to some coffee place on Suriwong past “Tawan corner”. This was our last chance to trade news as tomorrow I’m taking off at noon. Very handy meeting place and substitute for sadly demised and short lived CofeeGrinder. From there bkkmfj and I decided to go to Arena warmly greeted on arrival by veteran mamas an Art and usual cabal of hunks trying to bring attention to themselves. Fortunately each of us had different favorite so we did not need to compete. Mine was Tawan sized hunk, strong and very anxious to make good impression so both parts of massage ritual were great. On my way to hotel I stopped by KFC in Union building on Silom and bought 500 baht bucket of their treats because this is what I was asked/ ordered to do by my 4 p.m. visitor who is great fan of that fare. He is guy not from the scene and discreet to the extreme. Working shifts, so our usual agreement when I’m in Bangkok is that he tells me when he can come and for how long and on my side it’s yes or no. Sometimes is on very short notice , sometimes few days in advance but main thing is there is no drama at all. If we can ‘t meet at time when he is free , we will try next time which may be next day or next trip or something in between. When comes to discretion Raya is the best with her card access , bypassing the reception. We met downstairs when he lined me is is arriving Bkkmfj was anxious to see my guy and I did not want any hint of indiscretion so I advised him to sit by elevator pretending to scroll through his phone and when we emerged from elevator we just walked by like some stranger was there. Inspection done, door closed, fun started. As in January he surprised me with the kiss- it took me a while to extract on and that in January was our first ever and thing only to got better and hotter , of course with interruption to taste that KFC treats. Today he had only 4 hrs for me and at 8 as arranged originally he left taking about half of that bucket with him. I got 1 hr to tidy room over, run to 7/11 to buy more beers as at 9 O, masseur from 2 days ago was supposed to show up for our first ever overnight. It was only because our common forum friend who saw him last month told me that he feels O will be amendable for LT session. In fast he was quite happy to agree when I asked and so at 9.00 I got a message ‘ I’m arrived “. So another run downstairs to bring him in and my farewell with Thailand started. Known quality but it looks that perspective of long time ( perhaps also related tip) and few beers he sampled energized him and he turned up to be as busy and energetic as N few night ago. Exceeded expectations is the best description as I kind of knew him as being bit on serious and quiet side but that was not a case tonight. We were fake boyfriends and ones who like each other company immensely. At one pint even he dared to ask question ‘ do you ever sleep?” . Honestly I wonder if we meet again in the future and for sure we will , will he be willing to try another LT with me ?. My last off this trip was her crowing event. In the morning sad reality settled down that not only day 8 is over but whole trip. Summary tomorrow

Koh Tao trip report - Monday 24 June 2024 - Saturday 29 June 2024 My Thai volleyball friend and I, we have been discussing where to go for our next island hopping trip in Thailand. We already visited Koh Larn, Koh Samet, and Koh Chang. For this trip, which is about to commence as of the writing of this trip report (22 June), we chose the mysterious, Koh Tao - as it has been given the label of "Death Island". Below is a Youtube documentary as to why it has been given this name. Consequently, my Thai friend has been kindly asked by me to keep his eyes on me at all times as it seems that over 20 non-Thais have been murdered on this mysterious island. From a logistical point of view, our trip here has taken quite a lot of effort to organize, as it is not easy to arrive there from Pattaya. Our itinerary is: Monday 24 June - Taxi limo from Pattaya to the Novotel hotel in Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport (flight is early in the morning next day so we wanted to already be at the airport when we wake up and it gives a chance to my Thai friend to have his family come and visit us at the airport - as they live in the nearby province). Tuesday 25 June - Flight from Suvarnabhumi to Koh Samui airport - Taxi from Koh Samui airport to the Maenam/Pralarn Pier for the inter-island Lomprayah ferry - Pickup from the Mae Haad Pier on Koh Tao by our resort The above map gives you a good idea about the logistical challenge. In hindsight, perhaps flying to Chumphon airport would have made the trip somewhat easier as the ferry ride would only require one inter-island stop - instead of 2 from Koh Samui. I initiated this trip report before its commencement and conclusion - just in case I would become the next death statistic on Koh Tao - hopefully not, as I would like to truly finish this trip report - as I see we don't have many trip reports to many of Thailand's hidden secrets - as we tend to limit our travels to the traditional tourist places like; Chiang Mai, Phuket, Hua Hin, Pattaya, and Bangkok. Stay tuned.

This was so much fun - to be strategically placed at the seating tables that are in front of the elevators - and to "act" like I do not know either Vinapu or his very scrumptious date. I was very envious as Vinapu has an amazing selection of guys always available to him - and all of these guys are my type. But, that is ok, because I would eventually be with my ever so sexy hot Khim from Cambodia.

Yesterday, 22 June 2024 was the Pattaya International Pride Festival 2024, with the theme "Pride for All". I have to say that I was VERY impressed and I apologize for my previous reporting, as I had implied that there may have been some "bad water" that caused Pattaya to have 2 distinct parade celebrations. After having experienced both parades and seeing how and why they were presented, it was very obvious that one event is subordinate to the other - which I had misunderstood because the Jomtien / Dongtan pride event, Pattaya Community Event, went before the much bigger Pride for All event that was held today. My bad, as I am still a newly retired person here and as a farang it is very difficult to understand everything. I also had the naïve belief that for today's parade, that Boyztown, should be the lead event. Instead, it was of minor importance, as Boyztown only had one single float out of perhaps 30 floats ?? that were in the parade, which consisted of the Castro Cabaret Show and Panorama - with their float labeled as: Boyztown Pattaya. Today's "Pride for All" event goes WAY beyond Boyztown, as it had MAJOR representation from almost all of the important Pattaya businesses, from the local hospitals, big name stores (Pattana and Central Festival), important social and political clubs, restaurants, government institutions, and what surprised me the most was the dedication of 2 floats sponsored by 2 of the most important bar complexes in soi Buakhao, LK Metro and Treetown - which are the primary heterosexual entertainment centers in Pattaya. Compared to the 2 weeks prior Jomtien parade, this parade was massive. Since the Thai government has solicited to host the 2030 World Gay Pride event in Thailand - and after seeing today's PRIDE event - I can see that Thailand will be an excellent host for this prestigious event. The parade route was from the Central Marina shopping mall, past the Terminal 21 shopping mall (which was decked out with giant pride flag decorations), and then down Beach road terminating at the Central Festival shopping mall. I joined the parade just as it was leaving the Central Marina mall area and I walked with it until about mid way on Beach road to finally be able to sit down and enjoy an iced capuccino frappe and to watch the rest of the parade pass. A in his bar days liked to mentor younger guys and help them to establish foot in the trade. Once in the bar when drinking with him , after securing he will go with me, A noticed that I look longingly at Y whom I know only from seeing him on the stage at now gone New Twilight bar. So he thoughtfully suggested that he will talk to him and if Y agrees I can take home both of them. It worked marvelously although no, they did not interact with each other but that was disclaimed in the beginning so we knew what we are playing. As for selection , yes, it's fruit of prior trips. It pays to keep some guys loyal, smile here , tip there and invitation to a meal before or after the deed, all keeps business on little bit of personalized level. Advantage of Long Time is that there's always time to get more personal with guys , not in carnal but social sense. And yes, upping agreed tip by 1-2 hundreds enhances goodwill while refusing taxi money when tipped well already, reminds them that I know the game. It helps to have friends in high places. A was actually introduced to me by one of our members. Y in change was introduced by me to another member who in change lead to to few other precious finds even going into pain of introducing guy to me in person to make sure he will play along.

From Thai PBS World The Interior Ministry has been assigned by the Cabinet to amend the Condominium Act, to increase the foreign ownership limit in a development from 49% to 75%, and to amend the Land Act, to allow foreigners to lease land in Thailand for 99 years, up from the current 50. Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said on Friday that there is actually not much change needed to the Land Act, because the existing law already allows foreigners to lease land for 50 years, with an option to extend by a further 50 years. He said the Land Act needs to be amended anyway, to provide assurance to foreign investors that they can utilize land in Thailand for up to 99 years in a single lease contract, making investment secure and worthwhile. Anutin also explained that, although foreigners will be able to buy up to 75% of the units in a condominium development, their voting rights in the management of the development remain unchanged, with the Thais retaining the control. The change in the Condominium Act should mean that more units will be bought by foreigners, as there is currently an oversupply, especially of low and moderately-priced units, said the interior minister, while claiming that Thailand and the Thai people will gain from the two amendments.

There are definitely places and occasions where staying in Airbnbs makes more sense. Personally, it's a must when I visit Vietnam (because of their strict check-in policy) and definitely recommended for the Philippines and even Indonesia. The longest I usually stay in Thailand is three weeks and so hotels work better for me. Kinda love coming after lunch and seeing the room all in order after the craziness of evenings and mornings.

A really interesting guy! I'm not an expert but I though that if your 'home' country has a double taxation treaty with Thailand, all is well? That was suggested in earlier posts. I have a friend in Bangkok who used to be a tax partner in an NY firm, and he has just bought a condo. I can ask him. He has also acquired a good looking young Burmese live in companion, though I don't think that affects the tax position!!

Im assuming that the 'opening' is partial, and therefore only thr rooms are ready, though, as you say they are huge. That would explain why no references to The Club floor, etc, which must not be ready either till a bit later. I imagine management don't want to be too open about a partial opening, they just want to get the punters in. I hope there is a big pool, one of the disadvantages of the old Dusit was a small, rather sunless pool. It did have a great Club floor though, with an extensive terrace overlooking the Park. Showing my age, when I first stayed there, it was the tallest building in Bangkok!

In my case not only would I waste my money paying to someone for sleeping. Besides, I would torture him throughout the night and in the morning. I snore all night long, and my snoring competes in decibels with a stampede of snorting horses. Additionally, I could make a career as a flatulist. Sometimes I feel able to whistle the national anthem with one single fart. And they may sound harmonious, but often are very stinky. Even further, I cannot start my day without first taking a generous, heavy, very aromatic shit. Day 7 Known quality is known quality. As they say , S never disappoints and never ask for extra money, taxi etc. Since my room is without breakfast we went for one to Foodland, time honored habit. Rest of morning lazy but at 2 pm I decided to check Senso again, 3rd day in row. Guy behind the counter sported very wide smile seeing me, such a loyal customer. My smile was even wider because I saw that Leo, my guy from two days before was free so we climbed stairs to the same room we were in last time. As it often happens second time was even more rewarding then first as we knew bit about ourselves already. May be massage part was bit shorter , but second part bit longer so it levelled itself off. Certainly he was my best discovery this trip. Good English was a bonus and we talked a lot. So Senso definitely is back in my good books. For good while it was my best massage shop in Bangkok. Today I finally made decision of that 10000 a night offer I was contemplating for last few days and decided not to pursue it. Fiscal discipline and stuff. I contacted Y and he promised to show up at 9 so I knew another great meet up is in the cards. Bkkmfj and me decided to try A’s restaurant again. Now we had a picture so there was no fear we may miss it and off for dinner we went. Restaurant is small, 4 tables only and for such small place has impressive list of dishes. A was not there but since I announced our arrival by Line staff already told us he will be there soon. And indeed he showed up. Did not lose anything from his impressive musculature but what we noticed on the pics we took was something looking like wedding ring on his finger. So it looks like that restaurant may be mean of him settling down being chained to some girl ( I guess girl since he always boasted about how straight he is). We spent quite a while there, I promised to visit every time I ‘ll be in Bangkok and who knows , perhaps he still will be available to go with some of his loyal patron from the past I hopefully thought to myself. Y lined at 9 pm on the dot he is already downstairs so I went to pick him up, before everything I gave him 500 for off fee he paid to the bar already and another paradisiac session started. Among his many advantages is fact that I’d like to be with him even if for some reason he would stay fully dressed throughout. Thainya and soi 4 were deserted although I saw some people still entering completely darkened Banana Club, in Patpong 2 I met two HotMale Beer bar waiters including famous Alex going home after end of their shift, few people were eating in Foodland but nobody of interest and in soi6 in front of one shop there were 2 cute boys who offered massage but I felt I had enough of day today and I politely declined claiming I’m shy and tired. I can highly recommend the breakfasts at both the St. Regis and the Waldorf. Over the top fare with amazing service and views.

I'm not really a breakfast monster. I'm happy with a good (!) coffee and a fried egg and some fruits. If it suits me, I also like Thai food in the morning. When I'm in Jomtien I get all that (and much more) at my first choice hotel, Zing Resort & Spa. If I remember correctly, it's 200 baht (all you can eat). That's enough for me, I couldn't really enjoy an extensive breakfast a la Meridien. And there is still O Delices in Jomtien 😉

Le Meridien has a great breakfast, as does the W. The fantastic breakfasts are one of my reasons for going to Thailand.

next time in Bangkok try Quarter SalaDaeng or Furama Sathorn Exclusive, most room have kitchenette or even separate kitchen (Junior Suite at Quarter, I know I say there last July for 9 days)

I thought I'd add my experience about sauna Thermas as I've been going there for a few years now. I remember being very nervous the first time! You pay the entree fee, get a key with a locker number and go change. Once you are changed you go down the stairs where the working boys will be waiting or wandering around, and on the bottom most level there's a pool and bar. Some providers will approach you, some won't. If you see someone you like just say "Hey" to them and they will most likely lead the conversation. Clearly state what you want to happen (suck their dick, have them suck you, get fucked, fuck them, kiss or not,...) and confirm these are things he offers or not (all providers have different limits and things they offer). The standard is 50 euro for one session, no matter what the activity (usually, with some exceptions noted later on), excluding the provider's ejaculation (if you want them to ejaculate, tell them as it's extra money, usually 50 euro extra). There are "strict" tops who sometimes propose to let you fuck them for double the money (so 100 instead of 50 euro for 1 session. I suggest to not do this as they are often not good at bottoming and to search for a true versatile or bottom provider). If kissing is important to you, ask them to demonstrate to you how they kiss during the conversation. It's forward, yes, but a good kisser will happily oblige and it can save you from disappointment as I've had providers give halfhearted pecks once the session started (when I didn't ask them to show me before). A session lasts around 20 to 30 minutes (but you as the client should keep track. Most providers will make the session shorter if you don't). The rule of thumb is that it's 50 euro per 30 minutes. So if you were to engage a provider for one hour, it's expected you pay him 100 euro. But always confirm price and duration before starting the session. Some will (jokingly) ask for a tip beforehand, which I always politely decline. Once you've agreed on everything, it's time to start the session. For this you have 2 options. There are free cabins on the first basement, they have a fixed bench with thin mattresses on them. Some clients find them uncomfortable, for me they work fine. I suggest using the cabins on the left of the stairs (when facing with your back to the stairs) as these have better lighting in them and there are larger cabins. Just ask the provider to get you a larger cabin and they will look for it. Most of the time the larger cabins are in use by providers who are on break (smoking and chatting). You can also pay for a room. This is always by the hour and they come at various prices, depending on the size. All rooms have a full bed in them with linen and towels so the more expensive ones are simply larger. The comfort remains the same. The price list for the rooms is visible at the entry. After you are done with the session some providers will take a shower with you, some won't. Then you both go the top floor (street level) where the lockers are. You then get the money from your locker. The provider will be waiting for you in the bathroom next to the entrance (you can't miss it, it will be very clear where it is) and you give them the money there. I don't know why that is the spot but it's been that spot for as long as I've gone there. The providers don't mind it if you have your phone with you (I use it for Google translate). If you had a great time with a provider, I suggest you buy them a drink at the bar (if they're not otherwhise engaged with another client). I find it nice chatting to the guys and getting to know them. I totally understand one might be nervous going for the first time, but I've found that most everyone there (from the staff to the providers) are friendly and want to help you relax because happy, relaxed clients spend more money 😉 Ideal times to go are any day between 4pm and 8pm. The busiest days (with the largest number of providers, but also the most clients) are (usually) Wednesday but definitely Friday and Saturday, same time (4pm till 8pm). Outside these hours there will rarely be providers in the sauna. Hope this helped!
