Day 4 continued It was darkening when we decided to go to soi 4 for dinner in G'Bangkok where I was greeted cordially by the owner and across that street by veteran barker at Banana , short guy with hat hiding his balding hairline. Then to Foodland where we met reader who landed yesterday and spent good 2 hours trading news. Expecting guest tonight I bought some beers and took them to hotel. For tonight we scheduled Moonlight and going there we took walk by still then closed Tawan. There were at least 6-7 their boys on the corner , no doubt hoping for some hiring. In Moonlight we were greeted enthusiastically, they same way bank employees are greeting newest ATM to be installed. I’m not a Pattaya visitor but have read consistently on the forums about the shrinking expat community there. Part of it is obviously by choice but the government must accept that its unpredictable—and often onerous—policies discourage rather than encourage foreigners to retire to Thailand. I was among those westerners who weighed the option for years. Just when I was giving it greater consideration, the emerging possibility of dual state taxation has pretty much sealed any hopes I was considering. I think I could manage the health care issue but not the taxation one. Even if authorities decided against the idea, I believe future administrations would go on to seek new revenue streams from retirees, introducing more uncertainty. The logical—and economically proven—approach is to gain revenue from the spending of retirees on goods and services. It’s another altogether to try to wring the source dry before it can spend funds on those goods and services.

Banana Bar had few guys on stage. Fewer than 10. Average size guys. Show starts at 9.30pm or when there's enough customers. Customers are mostly straight tourist couples or groups. During my visit, I even saw a lesbian farang couple. Show includes shower show as there is a shower with glass screen at back corner of stage. But boy performances are outnumbered by the diva ladyboy singing. There's also 2 male heartthrob singers. What I didn't like is the performers going around audience asking for tips. I was at Banana Bar only once on an early Friday night. The bar seems successful as it is targeted at customers who want to watch a show. Freshboys is the opposite of Banana Bar. It only has a few diva ladyboy singing. There's a shower show same as Banana Bar. These are the only two bars in Bangkok with shower show and even the cheoropgraphy and music are similar! Freshboys has lots of big cock shows including the cock hitting the metal pole. I can confirm that the guys don't use their knees to knock the pole and make the loud hitting sound. It's really their cocks hitting the pole! Ouch! Many many guys at Freshboys. About 30 to 40 every night. What I like about Freshboys is that the guys line up in ascending number when they stand on stage e.g. 1, 2. 3 etc. So it helps with remembering the numbers of the guys. At other bars, the numbers seem random. My one complaint about Freshboys is that it is very dark. Many customers at every show. But most leave after show and don't off the guys. Waiters can be rather direct in asking for tips. Majority of guys and waiters are Vietnamese. I have one regular guy (number 25) who recently started work at Freshboys last week after being away from the scene for many months (he used to be at Dreamboys last year but he was let go after the bar only wanted Thais to work). He's doing well. In just his first week, he has been getting drinks, tips and offs from Chinese customers because he's the only one in the bar who can speak Mandarin. His best friend taught him many useful phrases. I tease him because I know in reality, his Chinese is so limited!

Hotmale had about 12 to 15 guys. Similar small set-up as Banana Bar. But all shows are performed by the Hotmale guys themselves. Few customers on a Friday night. Forum member who went with me on a Friday night multiple bar visit finally found his guy from Hotmale - someone he was already familiar with. Personally, I rarely visit Hotmale because I am already smitten by Hotmale Beer Bar waiters downstairs. 😛 Good Boy's change of name from Screwboys is not the only change. I was there for 3 nights and went away with 2 different offs on 2 nights - one Vietnamese and one Laos.

I was in Madrid for 10 days in earlier this month and visited the Gran Via Sauna. It's located right in the middle of the city, two blocks north of the Main Street, Gran Via, in the Chueca neighborhood. I visited on a Wednesday evening about 6pm. There were only 3 other customers but at least 8 working guys, most 20s/30s. There is a very nice full bar/lounge and a huge number of rooms, perhaps 30, over two floors and available for use at no charge. Totally agree with you about No. 28 in Freshboys. I tipped him 100 baht when I left. Excellent performer and great body. Yes, waiters are too direct with their request for tips. I see some of the same performers in Good Boy at Dreamboys. They move around different bars at night doing shows. Sorry you fell ill and could not continue visiting the bars during your other nights. Hope we might meet in future (tentatively December this year for me). Looks like we like the same type of twinky guys!

I haven't been back to Manila in years, and I don't have first-hand information to answer your question, but Club Bath has a website (https://www.clubbath.com.ph/) and if you go to their FAQ page, it's very prominently stated their requirement for a vaccination certificate. It could be out of date (website not updated) but there's no knowing that unless someone has personally visited. That said, I have never held high opinions of Filipino facilities (main reason why I haven't been back recently). Perhaps I have been spoilt by what's available in Thailand, but the FIlipino places are usually basic and in need of upkeep. Club Bath, for example, does not even have a bath - neither pool nor jacuzzi.

Whereas I'm not a long time type, I like to sleep alone with both eyes closed....so I don't get the paying for someone to sleep, but if someone I trust and lives far from my hotel asks to stay, I tell them, don't worry, I won't charge you 1/2 of the hotel room......usually where we're staying is better than where they live, as they've told me many times. Colombia has proven very fun and great sex, good restaurants...no off fees, overpriced drinks....did I mention great sex, and cheap flights from Mexico. Guys charge from 100k-150k COP which is like 1000-1300 THB mostly, there's a few that charge/ask for 250k COP = 2200THB but they are model types or onlyfan guys. Another thing I noticed is Vinapu and friends do quite a bit or marching 😛

Day 4, part 1 He turned up to be early riser which suited me well as I like morning gymnastics and then we went for a hotel provided breakfast. I was surprised how busy it was at 7 am but no, I did not notice any traces of disapproving looks when we sat together. At 9 am I got call from bkkmfj who claimed to be alone so I went down to restaurant again to accompany him at his meal and trade latest gossips. We decided to try Jey Spa early afternoon so upon returning to the room I Lined Jey with our selection stressing that those are separate bookings in case they had other idea . I was waiting a bit for response in respect of bkkmfj selection due to boy not responding but mamas an suspected that he simply is still asleep. Our next hotel is Heavens Boutique. Seems to be new venue with excellent location , right at the entrance to Silom Plaza by the escalator. For Arena or Best massage lovers that is dream come true place. Rooms weren’t ready so we left our goods on reception and went to Jey Spa for our 2 pm appointments. While walking to soi 43 along Suhumvit I got Line message “ your guys arrived already” . This is what we call proper customer care. My choice while not exactly cheap at tip 2500 for 1.5 hr was worth every baht . Super built , not shy at all and well trained masseur. As a bonus very good English. And most important – as his colleague I hired in Boyztown 2 days ago, clearly catching what his client likes and what he doesn’t. He gave me homework I was busy with thinking about for next 3 days : sensing I may be interested in all night cuddling he proposed it but quoted very prohibitive price of 10000. No, I was not shocked seeing and feeling body I had with me but it was well above my self imposed limit so all I could say was I will think about it (yes, I tried to bargain it down with counteroffer but he declined it in most polite way but it was firm decline ). Next three day I was pondering my choices but at end of it I kept to my limit and while happy with that , to this day I’m not 100% sure skipping it was the best I could do for myself. Call me crazy if you want but I know what I know. Returning to hotel I was in Cloud 8.5. Rooms were ready, bkkmfj was complaining about bit of strange smell from his bathroom but my room was trouble free. Furniture was new and whole place looked as recently opened , only inconvenience being that rooms are windowless. Only piece of thick glass somewhere allows to notice daylight so it’s not claustrophobic like some rooms at Bally Silom are. Bali is the common place for people to visit, but I've had as many if not more luck in Jakarta and Surabaya, going to add Bandung in my next trip. Less expensive in everything as a country except maybe alcohol. I like to have drinks with the guys and finding a drinker in Indonesia can be a challenge, but not impossible. I was in Delhi this past winter and stayed at the Lalit Hotel. It’s a very nice place, close to Connaught Circle, and is known to be gay friendly. There’s a bar in the hotel called Kitty Su which has a gay night once a week, (although I didn’t go to it). I believe it’s either Wednesday or Thursday. While I was staying there I hooked up with another guest, an Indian lawyer from Mumbai who was in town for work. I also had a local guy visit me there. He was introduced to me by a friend I met in Goa. There is security at the hotel entrance, but he had no trouble getting in (2 days in a row). He told them he had a meeting with a client. It helped that he was 40ish and well dressed. it’s a 5 star hotel, so it might be expensive if you’re on a tight budget, but for me it was worth it. Delhi can be overwhelming (all of India actually) so it’s nice to have an oasis of calm.

To be honest, I hadn't even considered the lack of a bath as a bath is not what I go there for! Yes, there are perfectly decent showers at Club Bath (better than most Thai massage places I have been) as well as a large and modern dark steam room - complete with private areas - a couple of outdoor smoking areas, private cabins, a TV room, gym (again I don't go for a gym workout), glory holes and a rooftop garden area as well as the cruising corridors/maze. It's been about five years since I was last there so can't vouch for it in 2024...

From The Thaiger Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has taken sick leave after testing positive for Covid-19. The announcement came yesterday evening through his Facebook page, where he revealed experiencing fatigue and a slight fever, which led him to undergo testing. Government spokesperson Chai Wacharonke reported that the Bangkok-born prime minister consulted a doctor last Friday upon noticing the symptoms. The test results confirmed the Covid infection. Medical advice has been given to the prime minister to rest until he is no longer contagious, with additional monitoring planned for the early part of this week. My experience with Raya last month was also very good, way better than the small thin-walled "room" of The Quarter Silom. Raya didn't take any deposit from me though. And was able to check in by 12noon. Stayed at the 7th Floor room facing the highway and was not bothered by any noise. During my stay they never closed the front access even as late as 3 am. The only thing they are a bit lacking for me is their very limited breakfast. I also like that they provide a clothes rack for hanging a few clothes to dry. I really found value staying with them.

I leave all of them alone and stick with 24+ with no need to worry about legal or hotel reception niceties

I don't know how it is in other countries but in Mexico when I asked it was about 3 times of ST fee. Also spoon once remarked that LT in extremely good value in Thailand compared to Malaysia. Days of 3000 LT, in Bangkok bars at least, may be slowly coming to an end but still LT remains very good value. And believe me , that 10000 while shocking in terms of number of zeros seemed in line with what guy in question had to offer. I was not shocked, only inclined to stick to my self imposed limit of half of that price. Glad I did but still not 100% sure.\ I have personal story of missed opportunity which haunts me for 30 years. While on Easter Island I saw beautiful carving and price quoted seemed for me prohibitive at that time so I gave up. After thinking it over, I decided to splurge and returned to the store to be greeted by seller with annunciation it was sold 2 hrs ago. I did not notice that saving thus obtained helped me much in life and now usually if I like something or somebody I go for it.

I thought I'd add my experience about sauna Thermas as I've been going there for a few years now. I remember being very nervous the first time! You pay the entree fee, get a key with a locker number and go change. Once you are changed you go down the stairs where the working boys will be waiting or wandering around, and on the bottom most level there's a pool and bar. Some providers will approach you, some won't. If you see someone you like just say "Hey" to them and they will most likely lead the conversation. Clearly state what you want to happen (suck their dick, have them suck you, get fucked, fuck them, kiss or not,...) and confirm these are things he offers or not (all providers have different limits and things they offer). The standard is 50 euro for one session, no matter what the activity (usually, with some exceptions noted later on), excluding the provider's ejaculation (if you want them to ejaculate, tell them as it's extra money, usually 50 euro extra). There are "strict" tops who sometimes propose to let you fuck them for double the money (so 100 instead of 50 euro for 1 session. I suggest to not do this as they are often not good at bottoming and to search for a true versatile or bottom provider). If kissing is important to you, ask them to demonstrate to you how they kiss during the conversation. It's forward, yes, but a good kisser will happily oblige and it can save you from disappointment as I've had providers give halfhearted pecks once the session started (when I didn't ask them to show me before). A session lasts around 20 to 30 minutes (but you as the client should keep track. Most providers will make the session shorter if you don't). The rule of thumb is that it's 50 euro per 30 minutes. So if you were to engage a provider for one hour, it's expected you pay him 100 euro. But always confirm price and duration before starting the session. Some will (jokingly) ask for a tip beforehand, which I always politely decline. Once you've agreed on everything, it's time to start the session. For this you have 2 options. There are free cabins on the first basement, they have a fixed bench with thin mattresses on them. Some clients find them uncomfortable, for me they work fine. I suggest using the cabins on the left of the stairs (when facing with your back to the stairs) as these have better lighting in them and there are larger cabins. Just ask the provider to get you a larger cabin and they will look for it. Most of the time the larger cabins are in use by providers who are on break (smoking and chatting). You can also pay for a room. This is always by the hour and they come at various prices, depending on the size. All rooms have a full bed in them with linen and towels so the more expensive ones are simply larger. The comfort remains the same. The price list for the rooms is visible at the entry. After you are done with the session some providers will take a shower with you, some won't. Then you both go the top floor (street level) where the lockers are. You then get the money from your locker. The provider will be waiting for you in the bathroom next to the entrance (you can't miss it, it will be very clear where it is) and you give them the money there. I don't know why that is the spot but it's been that spot for as long as I've gone there. The providers don't mind it if you have your phone with you (I use it for Google translate). If you had a great time with a provider, I suggest you buy them a drink at the bar (if they're not otherwhise engaged with another client). I find it nice chatting to the guys and getting to know them. I totally understand one might be nervous going for the first time, but I've found that most everyone there (from the staff to the providers) are friendly and want to help you relax because happy, relaxed clients spend more money 😉 Ideal times to go are any day between 4pm and 8pm. The busiest days (with the largest number of providers, but also the most clients) are (usually) Wednesday but definitely Friday and Saturday, same time (4pm till 8pm). Outside these hours there will rarely be providers in the sauna. Hope this helped!

Also, note that the sauna part of the complex is very busy and the hotel side of the business is experiencing normal levels of occupancy expected for low season.

Day 3 There is old truth that more time we have , longer we do things. In those 32 minutes I managed to pack, pay T his tip, even take a shower and brush teeth, catch motorsai to bus station to arrive there 5 minutes before bus departure with bkkmfj puzzled what happened with me being absent. But I made it !!! In Bangkok we took usual train plus BTS route to our 1st hotel. Poor bkkmfj decided to follow my insane schedule and booked the same hotels I did for our Bangkok stay. This trip I wanted to check three hotels in the area, almost never mentioned in reports. Every trip I try , to boost my self esteem to book something with more stars and this time it was Pullman G, short walk from Silom/ Narathiwas intersection. This being high rise we both got rooms with the view, mine was 15h floor facing sinful part of Silom, he was lavished with river view from 30th floor. Hour or two after settling down I got visit from ChristianPFC, we always meet at least once during my visits in Thailand. At one point I realized that my last meal was yesterday and it is already darkening today so I called bkkmfj to come down and three of us marched to world acclaimed, Foodland Patpong for a dinner. My first chicken with cashew in Bangkok this trip. Many times it was mentioned that while dining there it’s frequent to meet somebody known. This time it was Christian’s friend who was passing by and dropped for a chat seeing him through the window. After while we parted ways and bkkmfj and me went for grand tour of the area since he is not that familiar with Silom’s gay charms. It was before Tawan reopened so I was curious if their boys will be camping on the corner and yes , at 8 pm two were there already. Talked briefly with one and he said they had hope bar will reopen any day now which as we know happened. Our grand tour was finalized at Dragon bar with drinks with tiny Lao who may be tiny but shy is not. Securing promise of marriage from him we left him in his bar and continued to Jupiter. It’s true to form as usually Jupiter is my first bar I visit in Bangkok and that first visit is most often also last there on that trip. Not much changed. Deafening music, handsome but unsmiling boys who are most time in the shadows bar their three walkabouts. I don’t understand their format but it’s not my business so I hope they know what they are doing. I was hoping to see at least one of their three boys but as it happened none of those was present. So in there days in Thailand I counted already 6 boys I wanted to see to no avail. Definitely before next trip I won’t be making any plans of whom to see and will leave all to a chance. I noticed a lot of new guys on the roster which is always good news. One most eye catching got 100 baht tip during walkabout and during next one he happened to stand on the scene right in front of me but did not even bother to look at me , fact which even bkkmfj noticed. This is how some customers guys are wasting money I thought about myself. But there was bright moment. In front of us was sitting youngish Chinese. At one point mamasan brought to him boy whose face was familiar. Tam !, guy I offed on my first night of the trip last July. He recognized me as well, smiled broadly and when they were leaving he whispered something to his customer who nod approvingly and came to me smiling to shake hands. This is what I call proper customer treatment ! So I left Jupiter empty handed but smiling. In the soi bkkmfj announced desire to go home but I decided to check what is inside of Banana club hoping certain Vu Thy will be there but no, 7th no show this trip. Few guys recognized me but unfortunately tragically underfed so not my type but there was one is the shadows who was trying to get eye contact, then smile, in short was expressing an interest I emptying at least one of my pocket so , ever willing to help, I motioned him over. Brief inspection was fruitful so I asked about long time which was approved immediately but that can’t be said about tip he quoted (5000 ) . Somehow I managed to bring it to a reasonable 3500 by simply quoting that and it took a while before it was approved . Soon of we went with no word of complaining about longish walk to my hotel.

Jupiter has more customers than Moonlight, including casual straight tourists who are there just to watch the shows and enjoy the model walks. Regular singer Poppy is away for 2 weeks. Mamasan said that he went for facelift! So his partner PJ is singing on his own. Jupiter has policy of reserving best seats for customers who buy bottles. Hence, I invested in one bottle of Jonnie Walker and had good seats for the 3 nights I was there. I was there with forum member on one night and we both agreed that some of the waiters are more yummy than the models. When I asked about off fee and expected tip for waiters, mamasan said, "Off fee 500 baht. Tip 3000 baht. But can only go with customer after show finish at 1 a.m." We have to wait to off them? Needless to say, we didn't off any waiter. We sat and drank with two models and it was an entertaining hour with them. We tipped them for their time before heading to another bar.

reading this makes me miss arena and the wave of sweats and testosterone smell that hit your face once you enter the room.

Made my fourth visit to Phetboy Saturday. Myself and a fellow member both made reservations for 2:30p.m. Upon arrival, my guy was waiting and we were sent up to room on second floor. I was later to learn, however, that my mate’s masseur didn’t show up for another 45 minutes. Understandably dismayed, my friend requested and received a refund of the 380 baht fee. When I finished and found out what had happened, I accompanied him to nearby 15M where he chose a guy who happened to be in the shop. Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise because he reported after that it was an excellent session (400 baht). As I reflect on my four visits to Phetboy, one was satisfactory while the other three were fine. The shop is clean and well maintained with showers that could comfortably accommodate three. Although I’ve only visited 15M on one prior occasion, I found that also to be clean and similarly well maintained. Both are less than a 5-minute walk from the Saphan Kwai BTS.

I had plans to go to a bunch of places, but Grindr and Twitter guys kept me prisoner in my hotel practically, I did manage to go out to eat a couple of times and hang out at the pool with them, lol
