  1. https://mikepattayataxi.com @floridarob put me onto these guys about 7-8 years ago when I travelled with him from Bangkok on my first trip to Pattaya. I have used them exclusively ever since and never been let down. I often get upgrades, especially when coming from Bangkok to Pattaya. 50+ trips, never an issue. In 2019 I even got to ride from the airport to Pattaya with the boss and his daughter. She spoke great English and it was great to learn about their business. Free water is provided, and you can request a stop at a service area with no issue. I seem to remember me and @floridarob stopping off for a McDonalds once 555.

    Tawan is The One

A friend and I accompanied Jason1975 to The One Club last night, arriving at 10pm. The only thing I’d add to his review is that they need to develop some new stage activities before show begins. At the moment, they just have a few guys standing on stage at a time but not doing anything in particular to hold your attention. Management had done a good job of refurbishing interior.

  3. From Pattaya Mail By Barry Kenyon Bob and his longtime partner Oh in their favorite restaurant. American Robert (Bob) Pelletier is one of that large group of farang who settled in Pattaya around the beginning of the century. Born in 1939 at the port city of New Bedford, Massachusetts, he spent some years in Fall River, more famous perhaps for the alleged but unproven murders of Lizzie Borden. Bob gained a degree in accountancy – “money is always an interesting subject” – and joined the National Guard before being called up on active duty in the army air corps. He had an early military career to become Assistant Chief of Protocol and resigned in 1963. Bob then settled into a financial career, working for many years as a dealer consultant or chief financial officer for various companies including General Motors. He discovered Thailand in 1997 as a tourist and took up Pattaya residence in 2004. He had already met his permanent Thai partner Oh and they have lived together ever since. “What matters in gay or straight relationships is love, commitment and letting the other person have air to breathe,” says Bob, “and we have our own friends and hobbies.” He adds that, as you get older, you need someone to lift you up literally and figuratively. Retirement years, even in Fun City, can be boring with nothing to do. Bob is a keen bridge player and was one of the 30-plus foreigners arrested for gambling in 2016. “It was a very unfortunate mistake by the authorities and we were never charged or taken to court,” he explains, “but several members were in their nineties and found the several hours of confinement at the police station extremely upsetting as they needed their medicine.” Bob has substantial experience of condominium affairs as a member, and twice chairman, of the management committee. “It’s interesting voluntary work and I dealt mostly with executive affairs as the day to day running is the responsibility of a management company,” he recalls. Bob still sits on the committee and, whilst we were talking, two tenants came to tell him about a water leak and a noisy neighbor. Bob is a good listener and certainly needs to be. Most years Bob returns to America for a month or so to visit his extended family. I asked him what he finds attractive about living in Pattaya. “The hospital system here is good, quality restaurants are plentiful and the locals are mostly friendly and good natured.” But he adds that the best places to live tend to deteriorate over time. “Pattaya was green and clean when I arrived here, but the traffic chaos and the urban sprawl are obviously negative factors these days. But you learn to live with it all.” And the gay scene? “Sure, that’s changed a lot too. When I first arrived, all the action was in gay bars and issues like same sex marriage were never mentioned. Even holding a gay pride rally was controversial to some people. These days, gay life is open and sexual orientation is becoming an irrelevance in Thailand which is an excellent development.” Bob concludes, “Even in your eighties you can be out and proud.”

  5. I asked and he jumped on the opportunity to come to Pattaya by limo directly from his condo building in Silom. This guy is more into the niceties of life than the cold cash. For example, he has a crazy American client back in BKK who pays him 20.000 baht for a 1 hour meeting - yikes!!! I told him that I could never match those rates and his response was - no problem - I want a good time with you in Pattaya and for us to have fun in the bed and also outside of the bed. He has already been working in the "business" for more than 10 years and he was getting bored with the "always local Silom" meetings and wanted to have a mini "romantic" type of trip outside of BKK and to visit a nice blue turquoise sea with white sandy beach on Koh Larn. I obliged.

  6. From LA Times By Stephanie Yang BANGKOK, Thailand — In 2019, business was booming for Owen Zhu. He was one year into his new career in real estate, showing Bangkok properties to Chinese investors. Then the pandemic halted travel and spending. Even now, Chinese buyers are slow to return. The exception has been one group that has since become Zhu’s specialty: LGBTQ+ clients looking to build a new life for themselves outside China. “Most of them are buying to live in or to retire in — not like many straight people or friends, who are prioritizing investments,” Zhu, 40, said. Before the pandemic, Zhu estimates, about one-fourth of his clients were LGBTQ+. Now they make up two-thirds of his customer base. As China has clamped down on queer representation and advocacy, Bangkok, long the “gay capital” of Asia, has offered visitors a reprieve from the conservative culture back home. Here, the thriving nightlife of gay bars and clubs draws many potential buyers to look for apartments near the city center, Zhu said. Zhu, who is also gay and from China, bought an apartment in Bangkok in 2017 for his eventual retirement. As friends started asking his advice on how to make their own purchases, he quit his job in Chinese media to help them find properties full time. As his clientele has changed, so has Zhu’s marketing on Chinese social media. In between property listings, he now shares updates on efforts to legalize same-sex marriage and surrogacy in Thailand. With demand growing, Zhu said he hopes to start a housing complex catering to gay Chinese in the next few years. 7. From The Thaiger he United Kingdom Foreign Office issued a travel warning to British touristsheading to Thailand ahead of the summer holidays: “Behave, or end up in jail!” The Foreign Office advised British holidaymakers flying to the Land of Smiles to be cautious of the new visa rules. “From 1 June 2024, British passport holders arriving by air or land can enter Thailand without a visa (visa exemption) for tourism and short-term businessengagements for a period not exceeding 60 days. If you intend to stay longer (for work, study, or other reasons), you need to obtain a visa before you travel. “If you stay beyond the period of your visa, you will be fined 500 Thai baht per day, up to a maximum of 20,000 baht. You risk being held in detention.” You also risk being “deported at your own expense” and “banned from re-entering Thailand for up to 10 years.” The Foreign Office warns that “conditions in detention centres can be harsh.” It adds that holidaymakers can find more information on visas or entry requirements by contacting the Royal Thai Embassy or the local Immigration Office. Tax duty The UK Foreign Office has explained that there are strict regulations regarding goods that can be brought into and taken out of Thailand. Holidaymakers must declare any items that may be prohibited or subject to tax or duty. The Foreign Office has specifically issued a warning about importing cigarettes, reported National World. “It is illegal to import more than 200 cigarettes per person into Thailand. This is enforced at customs on arrival. If you go over the limit, you could be fined 10 times the value. Furthermore, your cigarettes will likely be confiscated.” The UK Foreign Office also revealed details regarding passport validity requirements. “Your passport must remain valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Thailand. Entry to Thailand may be denied if your passport is damaged or has missing pages.

  8. Even though it was a Tuesday night, Dreamboys was busy. Not full but filled with big spenders occupying 4 private booths who order bottles. There was a birthday cake with many candles brought to one of the big spenders. Another big spender came in with a guy from another bar. Also a young Japanese couple and the Jap lady was enjoying herself. She even went on stage to dance with diva ladyboy. Seated near me were 3 Chinese customers who eventually left with 2 guys and both were the same type - fair skin, thin, with sharp features, very Korean. Dreamboys has a selective of all sorts of guys to cater to wide range of customers. I won't be surprised that it might be the most profitable among the big 3 (the others being Jupiter, Moonlight).

  11. Yes, Vinapu and I, on his recent visit, took the bus from Pattaya to Bangkok and then I took it back to Pattaya. The Jomtien bus station is only 10 minutes from my condo so it is very convenient. Unfortunately, coming back to Pattaya / Jomtien I had to wait for 2 hours in the BKK airport as the seats on the departing buses were already sold out. Good value for money

  12. I started paying when I was 18 or 19. Cruising the block around the Greyhound station, was less complicated and got what I wanted. I used to go to gay bars too, but I was usually one of the youngest ones there, early 80's, most young people weren't out yet. Reciprocation wasn't my thing then nor now, I used to walk the block looking for what was available and cars would stop trying to pick me up all the time. Also when I used to go to Cats, Trix or Stellas in NYC, same thing...I had to tell people "I'm shopping not selling!". I was pretty hot back then and never realized it..... I remember like it was yesterday the very first time, every detail. I had the class president from a local high school and twin Puerto Rican brothers that used to work the block....fun but dangerous times, I wasn't into anal back then, luckily, so many died of AIDS, sad.

Jamie are you living in PH? can you give accommodation advice. I was there for a 30 days on my 60 day trip to asia last year. I had a local man from Isabela province and stayed 5 days in manila (new years) in various hotels, then Cauayan city (hotels and airbnb) 20 days and 5 days Angeles. I found hotel accommodations mediocre and rather expensive. and I hate moving around. Finding a good place to stay was one of my local mans jobs, but he was ..... inexperienced. this winter I stayed in Medellin for 90 days 3 different Airbnbs (again mediocre and rather expensive). I like to have a "home base" then travel around the country a bit with short stays at hotels. but having someplace to leave the computer and my stock of heart and cock medicines. I guess I need to learn to travel lighter.... Meds, computer electric toothbrush, shaver a few clothes, sex toys (😈). Trying to decide to return to Asia or back to south america. I love thailand food, accomodations, and men. weather sucks. PH the people/men are great, food... weather, accomodations... not so much. Colombia great weather, hot men... food accomodations safety..... not so great.

  16. Visited Phet Boy shop this afternoon. General observations: Less than a five minute walk from BTS (see above). Found it to be very clean with rooms on second floor (mattress pad on floor). There a generous size shower down the hall with ample hot water. I was presented with bottle of water upon entering and wasn’t asked for payment until I was leaving. Minimum tips range from 800 to 1200 for one hour massage. You choose your masseur from the long list at following link. You’ll recognize many—if not most—from the photos from others shops around Saphan Kwai. https://phetboyspa.blogspot.com/ One hour oil is 380. My masseur (from Myanmar) was cheerful and offered what could be best described as full service and I tipped accordingly. Overall impression was positive and I’m fairly sure that I’ll be e returning. The shop is located a few minutes walk from multiple other all-male shops on same side of road, GBeat and 15m among them. K Man is just across the road. Be advised that some photos the shops display can be three or more years old. So occasionally the guy who opens the door may be a bit older and possibly heavier than pictured. This applies to all shops. That’s one big advantage the shops in the Silom area have over the SK shops.

  17. Hi Guys, Before my hopefully forthcoming (not first) visit, I summarized the relevant info from the previous 12 months. [Maybe management would find fit to pin it for future uninitiated.] Anyone so inclined, please correct, criticise or add. https://www.saunaspases.com/saunathermas/ Timetable: Friday – Monday: 15:00-23:00 Tuesday – Wednesday: 24 hours Thursday: 7:00-23:00. Best hours to visit: 16:00 – 20:00 [Splash disco party: a late night event, with DJ etc. Not attended particularly by the "boys". More of a general sauna evening.] Room Rates: Entry – 22 eur; on Wednesday – 19.5 Private rooms rates: 15 – 18 – 20 – 25 (levels of luxury). Speedoo: You use one of the free cabins with a small bench and plastic covered mattress, or you rent a larger room with a bed+sheets and light (not dimmed light like in the cabins). On busier nights, might have to wait for them. Riobard: You have the option of 2 towels or 1 towel plus a large terry cloth robe on check-in. If you spread out the robe on a vinyl mattress ()not routinely swabbed between sessions, you get more cloth coverage over it. Another tip: If you rent a room that is put on your check-out tab, you have it for an hour. Write down the time from the clock at reception, making sure the attendant knows you are aware, and optionally keep the key for 55-59 minutes because you may want to fit in at least one more session. Rookie mistake is to hand back the key after 20-30 minutes and then regret it. [The light dimmers generally don’t function well.] Providers: Rate – 50 eur for 20-30 mnts; not including cum. Speedoo: If you want to spend an hour with a guy – you better ask him upfront, so he can price accordingly. I would expect some of the guys to agree to 50 Euro for 1 hour just to close the deal, but with no actual intention of spending that much time with you in the cabin (lots of excuses can come up why a session is ended prematurely). Most “boys” are Latinos from SA; especially Brazil and Venezuela; also east-Europeans. On Saturday and Sunday there’s an influx of only-weekend “boys”. Most are in the 7-inch range and thick enough. Honorably recommended here: Bruno, Paulo, Sergio, Costas, and repeatedly – Nicholas (Chile). Three Recent Impressions: Chucky: Lots of guys there, mostly South American although a couple of East Europeans. Had most of the guys approach, some very handsome and some just big cocks. Lots of Brazilians as usual and some very handsome. Definitely was more choice than last year. AndyUK: Always found this place to be nice, hassle free, great bar area and sexy guys. Top notch. keepItReal: Providers were friendly and almost all of them stopped by to say hello. Still, couldn't find an enthusiastic bttm. Mostly guys were tops or just looking for quick oral fun. Had a good time chatting with some of the providers and they seemed to be in good spirits and quite welcoming. Speedoo: The guys will get condom and lube from the bar in the basement when they agree to go with you to a cabin or room. I don’t recall if you get charged for this when you leave; presumably you do, but it’s only a few Euros. Probably only 1 type standard condoms available. I haven’t seen guys asking for special sized condoms.

  18. wow wow wow Peace, brothers and sisters! The OP is quite new and just started sharing his experiences. Let's not jump to make assumptions. You all may be right, but we do not know yet enough the OP to provide context to his words. Or am I missing something? @alexch, you should be more aware of some basic ethics when posting on a public forum. For instance, in other threads you shared face pictures of your sex partners. That is a huge NO NO NO. You violated their privacy. This is quite elemental, and at least one friend pointed it out to you, without getting any response. Last time I checked, the face photos were still there. You may not be paying attention, or you may not care about such a serious violation. Soon after that very questionable behavior, you open this thread making jokes that, depending on the context, would be not funny at all. It is true, sometimes we all make those jokes in private, among friends who know well each other. This is a public forum, you do not know who is reading you. Joking about being abused may not be comedy for some friends here. On one hand, I am glad to have a new poster sharing actual experiences. On the other hand, I am troubled that the previously shared concerns may have some degree of truth. I hope your intentions are good and you are willing to learn and respect the basic etiquete. Would you please go back to your previous posts and erase the face pictures? Or ask @TotallyOz to erase them, if your time for editing is over? Would you please be more careful of your wording, and aware we are in a public forum? Thank you!

  25. From Pattaya Mail By Barry Kenyon Some gay activists are not so sure about a new national headcount of sexual minorities in Thailand to help design a better living and welfare policy for them. Chadlerm Jandee said, “Sexuality is a very wide spectrum and LGBTQIA+ stands for Lesbians, Gays, Transgenders, Queers, Intersex, Asexuals and others.” He added that many people who have gay experiences don’t necessarily identify as homosexual. Thai premier Srettha Thavisin said the forthcoming marriage act for same sex partners is not the end of the story. “We then want to pursue gender recognition (the right of people to choose their identity on official documents) and sex worker laws,” he explained. The new survey of the National Statistical Office and others will be based on provincial households and online surveys of Thais aged 15 and above. There have already been many attempts in Thailand to pinpoint gay numbers. Ipsos, the market research organization, this year estimated 9 percent of 71 million Thais, but others have suggested anywhere from 3 percent to over 20 percent. It is generally agreed that younger Thais, in particular the GenZ generation presently aged up to 27 years, are more likely to identify with a sexual minority than older citizens. Research into gay numbers worldwide has a long history. American Alfred Kinsey in the 1940s toyed with a 10 percent ceiling and was the first to recognize the spectrum of sexuality on the scale of 0-6. In Nazi Germany, SS leader Heinrich Himmler set up a committee to combat homosexuality and ordered the expansion of Dachau concentration camp after being told gays were 2 percent of the adult population. Porranee Phuprasert, assistant manager of ThaiHealth, said the new survey will collect data on health, mental condition, living conditions and relationships in an attempt to combat stereotypes and discrimination. He said gays still face hostility in the workplace and from gay bashers. Meanwhile, the prime minister is keen to boost revenue by maximizing international tourist arrivals during the 2024 Global Gay Pride Calendar. Ann “Waaddao” Chumaporn, an organizer of gay pride events, said more gay people were prepared to come out these days. “20 years ago, there were no mobile phones, no Facebook, no widespread internet, no nothing. There were only posters that I had put up in gay bars,” Ann concluded. “If there are more Thais now identifying as gay or belonging to a sexual minority, that’s no surprise.”

    Short or Long Visit

Im more a shorter stay guy, mainly due to work but recently, i tried going for a 2 week long in thailand, and i didnt regret it one bit. Granted, i do split my time between bangkok and pattaya. The last few visits, i rarely did bangkok or pattaya sight seeing anymore, so i added in side trips, such as chiang mai, vientiene, hua hin, kanchanaburi etc. I do have an advantage of living near to thailand (2.30 hour flight) so shorter trips is more desirable but sometimes work schedule make it easier to just take leaves at the end of the year, when most people takes their leaves. Thus the longer trip. I just finished a work trip that is 3 long weeks, and i pretty much cant wait to return home. I guess 2 weeks or less is my sweet spot.

    Short or Long Visit

Based on what you described as the the activities for your February visit and what you seem to be looking forward to, then I think you are right in deciding on two shorter visits of about 10 days, within a year. The sights are seldom as much a wow thing the second time compared to the first. In any case, there aren't enough sights (not in Bangkok, anyway) to fill three and a half weeks. There's an endless supply of sex, but my experience is that desire will peter out after a week or so. The thrill wears out, it becomes a routine and soon enough, a boring one. And yes, you should try the massage offerings. But let me give you a bit of advice here when venturing into this area: There are roughly three kinds of massage parlours and it is hard to tell them apart from appearances. 1. Places that offer real massage and no sex (at most, if you are lucky, a handjob) 2. Places where the management pretends it is a real massage place, but most of the boys don't know the techniques, and are more interested in selling sex for big tips. 3. Places that have "massage" or "spa" in their name but are basically brothels. You may get a simple, reasonably satisfying massage or the boy merely goes through the motions (or sometimes don't have a clue how to perform a massage) and you need to think of the "massage" more as foreplay. Depending on which brothel you're patronising, the expected tip can vary tremendously. To make matters even more confusing, there are no hard and fast boundaries between one type and another. There are places kind of in-between. However, I find it easier to think in terms of these three types and classify the various places accordingly in my mind. Why? Because the business transaction operates somewhat differently depending on whether it is 1, 2 or 3, particularly the tip (or what I call the service fee). Closer to November when you are ready to dip your toe into Thailand's gay "massage" business, maybe you can ask for more information about how to navigate ths confusing sector. By the way, are you heading to Hanoi or Ho Chi MInh City in August?

  36. Londoner

    Short or Long Visit

It depends on the health and resilience of the traveller. I was just under fifty on my first trip and so dazzled was I at what I experienced that I booked up another two flights on my return. However, I was still working then and the best I could do was one week, of which two days were devoted to the flight. From London, door to door, including waiting at the airport, the journey was about seventeen hours each way. And at that I age I coped. Now? no chance! I find the journey absolutely worthwhile and regret nothing.....but, the truth is, I struggle even now when I use Business Class. So, if you are young (under sixty, or whatever!) and are full of beans ((as we Britons say), go for a long weekend if you like! And good luck to you

  37. Stick to this plan since you have the ticket....Colombia and Brasil can be a different trip, like you said a bit closer. Not in my experience... Westerners are held on a higher plateau in developing and third world countries......Take those same nationalities, that have made it to or born in the US, they might not think much about skin color or where you're from, unless you're rich.....then in that case everyone is looking for a sugar daddy, lol Brasil: AMAZING sex, fun guys, especially Cariocas (people from Rio)....Food in SP is good, Rio is meh, Rio good touristy stuff, SP big ugly city. Medellin: I've just recently rediscovered here after many years avoiding it....going back for my 3rd time in the last 4 months, finding more love for Venezuelans but Colombians are good too. Great food options, Airbnb & Hotels a little more than others, not by much, guys are a bargain and well worth it. Thailand: Fun AMAZING massage, food, Business class flights, hotels, nightlife, too transactional money sex, not cheap after considering off/drinks/tips, occasionally find good sex, but usually mediocre, guys are nice but too many seem to have a drama story waiting for the sympathetic Farang to throw money at them like an angel, then they buy an iPhone or splurge drink with their friends....not all, but a majority. Philippines: Free scene guys are looking for a husband/bf money guys aren't as cheap as you think.....mixed bag. More expensive than other places in Asia in general. Indonesia: Still the least expensive in my eyes for what you get and most are cut, which is a good change after all these years visiting uncut countries. These are from my personal experiences and some generalizations as I've been traveling for a long time. Scenes change (Cuba) that used to be amazing and now dismal. I'm going back to Cambodia this year, I haven't been for a long time so can't comment much there, although my last time in PP, I was ready to leave and my only time in Vietnam, I was ready to leave after 2 days there. I live in Mexico and have a lot on my doorstep literally or a short flight away....You're in US, but some Mexico flights can be more than a flight to Colombia , but Mexico city, Monterrey are very gay and not so "touristic" Mexico. There is no PERFECT place....and if there was, a lot of us would still go looking for the pot of gold somewhere else, lol

There used to be the best Thai restaurant I've found outside of Thailand, but they didn't survive Covid sadly. Nothing stands out as memorable to me, but I haven't ventured much into the dining scene there as much as I have in Brasil and Colombia. In my completely unscientific estimation, if I went to Steamworks in Chicago this weekend there is about a 10% to 20% chance of me being invited to do “gay stuff” with a hot 22 year old in the dry sauna whereas if I go back to Hotel Chilli in SP I’d say the odds increase to about 80% or 90%.

  47. Ladyboys are kathoey, and they use that term themselves. I have a couple of ladyboy friends who would likely beat your head in with their high heels if you called them transgender. I'd suggest keeping your mouth closed talking about issues you clearly have no idea about. No idea how US politics has anything to do with some violent cross-dressers in Thailand, but hey, you get to throw your toys out the pram hey!

  48. What is an enlightened one? What is an FTM? and a "bulliers" ? Who the hell are you? I've really never heard such garbage in my life. Do you speak English? I live in Thailand and I can tell you how things work here. As for where you live, I don't give 2 shits. You sound American, so a shithole terrorist state ran by a rotting deranged grandad. Enjoy.
