  3. @Young11 Yes. Chapigay is literally how the locals refer to the neighbourhood. Chapigay colloquially is the barrio within Chapinero where all of the gay saunas, bars, discos and restaurants can be found. Chapinero barrio is everything between Calle 72 (to the north) to Calle 26 (south), and between Calle 1 (above in the the hills) to Avenida Cra 30 which is technically the main North - South transportation conduit in the city (and where the new metro line is being built). Chapigay zona is a much more condensed. You can focus on the area between Calle 66 in the north to Calle 58 Bis (precisely the street entrance to Theatrón) in the south. Everything is located between Carrera 13 and Carrera 7 to the West and East respectively. So if you book something within walking distance to these locators, you will be just fine. To be fair, there are other places outside of this neighbourhood, but this should be enough to keep you busy for a first tour. For fun I searched Google for a map of Chapigay to get you started. https://www.google.com/maps/search/chapigay+bogota/@4.6432589,-74.0606375,16z/data=!3m1!4b1?entry=ttu The best resource for events-bars-saunas is the Guia Gay Colombia but it is only available in español https://www.guiagaycolombia.com/ Good luck with your planning.

  6. The Ukraine vote was delayed long enough for Putin to capture more chunks of territory. That Johnson hears classified discussions in the scif and then heads to Mar A Lago to huddle with Trump is worrisome. How Politico allowed Johnson to trumpet that our borders are wide open is a reflection of our false lamestream media. Republicans scuttled their own border bill. The GOP bring different facts to the mike and the media allows it. You mentioned Wellstone. When he first ran for Congress his campaign set up a booth in Loring Park in MPLS during Pride and staffed it with a hottie. I still remember the attention he got. During a recent John Lovett interview, Al Franken talked about Wellstone. He had been a champion college wrestler. What a tragedy we lost such a bright, honorable politician. Not so honorable, Johnson is clever for sure. That's a good thing for keeping the lights on when his party is willing to shut the government down. We might be thankful for his political smarts. Fingers crossed.

We hang out, drink, play sex games and fuck like crazy...no off fees, sauna entrance fees, blah, blah blah......only pain in the ass is registering them at the front desk, but it's worth it for safety, especially the 1st time meeting someone.

  11. From Malaysia Sun KATHMANDU, Nepal - Nepal has hosted its first international LGBTIQ tourism conference. Following the spectacular success of a legally recognized same-sex marriage in November, Nepal wants a piece of the multibillion-dollar pink market. "Forget about Nepal's skewed past. We now aspire to create more just and equal societies." "Let the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, or queer (LGBTIQ) have equal economic opportunities," urged Sunil Babu Pant, Asia's first openly homosexual former politician, at a conference in Kathmandu. A few years ago, it was typical to see police beating gay and transgender people on the streets. "After over two decades of legal fights, the law and society have finally embraced the LGBTIQ community. We're in the second phase, which requires equal economic opportunities." "For this, we need to attract LGBTIQ tourists worldwide," Pant said. The conference was announced following the successful marriage registration of Surendra Pandey and Maya Gurung, the first same-sex couple to be officially recognized in Nepal, on November 29, 2023, following years of legal battles. Their legally recognized same-sex marriage is the first of its type in South Asia and is a significant turning point for LGBTIQ rights. The decision of the court reads: "No one has the right to question how two adults perform sexual intercourse and whether this intercourse is natural or unnatural and that the way the right to privacy is secured to two heterosexual individuals in sexual intercourse, it is equally secured to the people of third gender who have a different gender identity and sexual orientation." In her presentation titled 'LGBTI Tourism Global Overview and its Contribution to the Economy,' Diane Anderson-Minshall, CEO and chief storyteller of GO Magazine, stated that LGBTIQ, or pink tourism, is a travel sector with a lot of wealth and spending power. She stated that "rainbow tourism" not only offers economic prosperity but also provides an opportunity to promote inclusiveness and empowerment within the LGBTIQ community. "By integrating them into the national economy, we create employment opportunities and contribute to the nation's overall prosperity."

August is winter in Rio, not as busy as other months, a lot of the "talent" goes to Sao Paulo or stay in SP and don't go to Rio....but like buttercawan said, you can still do touristy things, and there are guys in Rio, just not the selection as in warmer months. so at least 3 days in SP and make sure the days line up to be the good ones in the saunas in both cities.... Rio= Mon 202, Tues 117, Wed 202....SP= Lagoa Thurs, Fri, Sat Sauna days are dependent on the weather, when it rains, is usually shitty...if they do something like Bingo or free food could be busy. If there's a party or event in town could be slow, the guys priorities is party over work.

  14. From The Nation Ganja growers fret over unsold stock The members of a community enterprise growing marijuana in Sakon Nakhon province said their dream of having a better life had been shattered due to stockpiling of unsold products. Even worse, they were worried about the government relisting cannabis as a drug, which would leave them in limbo. As the second anniversary of the decriminalisation of ganja approaches on June 9, members of a community enterprise growing marijuana in Sakon Nakhon said that things had not turned out as per their optimistic expectations. The community also made ganja tea from leaves and branches for sale. But members of the community enterprise found out that their products last year did not sell well anymore. They said several thousands of kilograms of their unsold ganja leaves had piled up. They said vendors no longer came to buy their products. Even if they offered to buy, they would lower the price to 1,200 baht a kilogram, the villagers complained. The members of the enterprise said the price had dropped and locally-grown ganja could not sell because some tycoons had cultivated marijuana in neighbouring countries and smuggled them into the kingdom. They said some Thai investors also had joined hands with their foreign partners to import foreign strains of ganja to grow and sell at much higher prices at the cost of the villagers who grew the Thai strain to sell. The villagers called on the government to come up with measures to help the villagers who had grown Thai marijuana instead of supporting foreign investors. They also called on the authorities to effectively prevent smuggling of ganja from neighbouring countries. The government should scan marijuana products in the market to check whether they were really cultivated in Thailand, they said. “When the government decriminalised the plant, it promised that farmers would have a better life, but now people have not even recovered their investment in greenhouses,” a villager said, asking not to be named. The members of the community enterprise said they disagreed with the government’s plan to relist marijuana as a drug, saying it would not really solve the issue and it would be a political game. They said when they started growing ganja two years ago after it was decriminalised, their ganja products sold like hot cakes. Ganja leaves fetched them 10,500 baht per kilogram and buyers had to book them months in advance. They could also sell ganja flowers to the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine and a hospital in Sakon Nakhon to use as medicine. Meanwhile, Public Health Minister Somsak Thepsuthin said the government planned to relist marijuana as a drug as the number of youth smoking marijuana had increased by 10 times during the past two years. He said researchers at Chulalongkorn University had also found out that the IQ points of youth who smoked ganja had dropped by 8-9 points. Somsak said the Public Health Ministry also had its own figures about the side-effects of ganja smoking, but the data would not be released now. “I would like to see the Public Health Ministry remain neutral in this issue,” Somsak said. Somsak also advised those who had received permission to plant marijuana for sale, to stop planting new crops pending clarification of the government’s policy on the issue.

I love to have a good time but when I want to sleep--I want to sleep. In general up the hill in Chapinero will be quieter but still within walking distance of the clubs.

I didn't open it ,I just shouted through the door to go away As for them shouting out sheriffs department I still wouldn't open it . I would call the cops to confirm it . Anyone can shout out police or sheriffs department ,so you aren't going to open the door unless confirming it . This particular case the guy had the gun because he was unsure of who it was ,he shouldn't of opened the door . The cop should not have shot him ,the gun was not pointed at him. Secondly if there was no commotion/shouting going inside the apartment then he should of waited for back up to arrive

  21. The young man was an active-duty soldier in the U.S. Military, living off base which is permitted in many circumstances. Reportedly, the soldier was on a facetime video call with his girlfriend in a room located at the opposite end of where the front door is situated. There were three knocks on the front door: once without announcing who the officer was, second when the officer - standing to the side - not in front - of the door and called out identifying himself, and quicky a third identifying himself. The apartment has an exterior entrance and it's not unreasonable to believe any resident who was at the other end of the apartment, could hear clearly. The soldier, reportedly not certain who was at this front door knocking loudly, retrieved his lawfully owned handgun, approached and opened the door with the handgun at his side pointed downward not in a threatening manner - and without warning or ordering the soldier to drop his weapon, the police officer opened fire and killed the soldier. The police officer, who had not waited for back-up which was almost at the building before approaching the apartment and who listened at the apartment door before knocking, seeking to determine if a loud or violent domestic dispute was underway - had been given an incorrect apartment number by a woman who met him when his patrol car arrived at the building. There was no indication that there was a reason for the police to seek entrance to the apartment.

  22. I agree that it was unbalanced in the sense that it just let Johnson spell out his world view, without really challenging his assertions. But that was what I liked about it. It was an interview format. So for something like that I am okay with just giving him the mike. Johnson came out of nowhere when McCarthy was crucified by his own party's whacko wing. So this is the first thing I've read that really just let Johnson tell us how he sees the world. And reading it did help me understand why he was chosen, and why he has been somewhat effective. The thing that delighted me is the Ukraine vote. And I think that probably speaks to the underlying political dynamics. At least half of Republicans in the House probably think we should fund Ukraine, because it makes us look weak in the world if we don't. Again, speaking to this in family terms, it just explodes my brain that my Dad's Reagan Cold War "Tear Down This Wall" Republican Party would say let's just hand Ukraine to Putin. And the political irony is the Republicans make an okay argument that Biden can't be POTIS because he is very old and very weak and we just can't have an old and weak fuck like Biden be POTUS. Because, face it, he's fucking old and so fucking weak everyone can see he is just a weak old fuck. And, in fact, the polls make it very clear most Americans do see Biden pretty much that way. So the Republicans have what could be a winning argument. And then they turn around and say, "We Republicans gave out testicles to Putin, and we are happy to let him fuck us in the ass and take whatever he wants." Sorry about the colorful language. But I have no idea where this Republican Party came from. And everyone around the world looks at the Republicans and says, "This is weakness. This is hypocrisy. America is a paper tiger." So I give Johnson credit for figuring out how to work with that and do what, in his mind, Reagan would have done. The story about Tip O'Neill, as you say, is probably bullshit. I've read in several places that the supposed love affair between Tip and The Gipper was mostly a myth. But that in itself tells us something. Because Reagan clearly wanted to be seen as someone bipartisan who would compromise. Johnson has now played his cards enough to reveal he is like Reagan in that sense. The contrast I would make to Johnson is Newt Gingrich. I think Gingrich is an ideological flame thrower who likes ideological war and is not a big fan of compromise. I think he should get credit as one of the main architects of that wing of the Republican Party. There was a long interview I read of Leon Panetta about the Clinton days and the government shutdown. Panetta said that there was a key moment in private negotiations where POTUS Bill Clinton told House Speaker Gingrich something like, "Newt, I know what you want. But I just can't give it to you." The polls showed Republicans were being blamed for the shutdown. So Dole, who wanted to run for POTUS in 1996 and knew this would hurt his chances, stepped in and cut the pragmatic deal with Clinton that ideologue Newt was not willing to compromise on. All of that said a lot to me about the kind of pragmatist Dole was, and the kind of ideologue Gingrich is. My takeaway from that interview is Johnson really wants Republicans to win the House in 2024, so he can still be Speaker. I would bet money that when Johnson talks to Trump privately he says, "We can let Ukraine lose. But it will be blamed on Republicans and it will hurt your chances of winning in 2024. Is that what you want?" As much as I despise Trump and pray he loses in 2024, I am actually glad that someone with more nuanced political skills like Johnson perhaps can make pragmatic arguments about issues like Ukraine that Trump may actually listen to.

  23. Yes, thanks for pointing out that something can be illegal due to violations of civil code, not simply criminal code. In California, defamation is a violation of civil code, but one cannot go to jail for this: https://www.shouselaw.com/ca/personal-injury/harm-to-reputation/defamation/ "Defamation is an invasion of the interest in reputation. Under California law, it is a broad term for false statements made that cause damage to someone’s good standing. California Civil Code (Cal. Civ. Code) §44 states that defamation is affected by either libel or slander. If a statement is made verbally, it is slander. If made in writing, it is libel. Cal. Civ. Code §45 and Cal. Civ. Code §46 provide the definitions for both libel and slander. In some states, libel can sometimes be charged as a crime and be punishable by a fine and jail time. However, in California, people who have been defamed are limited to their right to recover damages in a civil lawsuit...". In Thailand, defamation can result in criminal penalties: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defamation#Criminal_7 "The Thai Criminal Code provides that: Section 326. Defamation Whoever, imputes anything to the other person before a third person in a manner likely to impair the reputation of such other person or to expose such other person to be hated or scorned, is said to commit defamation, and shall be punished with imprisonment not exceeding one year or fined not exceeding twenty thousand Baht, or both.". One can certainly debate whether defaming someone should result in possible jail time. However, I believe only a madman would argue that defamation shouldn't subject the defamer to any legal consequences.

  24. Not taking sides one way or the other on the underlying issue here, however, technically Defamation is only a criminal offense in 17 U.S. states. And even in those states, it can only be criminally prosecuted in narrow cases (generally involving malicious and false accusations of sexual immorality) and rarely is ever actually prosecuted. In the rest of the U.S., Defamation is a matter for civil litigation. If this restaurant were in the U.S. it would probably have a good case for a tortious interference lawsuit provided it could prove the individual conspired with other people to leave reviews, knowing they'd never eaten there, and with the objective of interfering with the commercial success of the business.

Some of my go to places, not in any order of preference G's Bangkok Soi 4, nice place, good food and cold beer, nice place to sit and watch the Soi 4 world go by Roadhouse Barbecue corner Rama IV and Surawong, good food and cold beer, a little pricey but still good and the lunch specials are reasonably priced Mango Tree (my favourite) as Daddy415 said delicious food, nice atmosphere, I can't resist eating there several times per trip. Such a pity that the Mango Tree on Yodpiman Riverwalk closed, I used to enjoy a leisurely evening meal and drink there and sit back watching the river traffic flow by Happy Beer Garden across from the Raya on Surawong, cheaper eats than others but still good food and drinks and generally a happy atmosphere

  27. TIT - This Is Thailand - contradictions and always changing of the mind I read somewhere else that there are approximately 6.000 marijuana shops across Thailand and then all of the related upstream businesses (farms, cultivation, distributors, equipment, etc.). All of these will be interrupted and many people put out of work. Then there will be the above mentioned loss of income and related taxes to the government. In addition, with the government wanting to tax us "residents" (those of us who live here more than 180 days) - you wonder if this current government is trying to hurt its economy with the elimination of the marijuana industry and ability to attract foreigners who want to live here without this new additional tax burden and tax reporting....

  32. I visited the original Thermas - in Barcelona - over two successive nights at the end of April. First Night - Wednesday On the first night, I got there about 6 pm. I don’t see that many guys about - I would say there was about seven guys for hire, and maybe same amount of clients. In particular I noticed three rather feminine young men, who I first though were rentboys, but then realised that they were clients. They tended to stay in their own group and made no attempt to hire that I saw. I am not sure if they went into the wrong sauna, or just wanted to have a look around at the scene (of course, for all I really know, they may have been sated from a big orgy with a dozen rentboys just before i arrived). Some of the escort guys were eating and seemed to have retired from the hunt, for the time being at least. I was only approached by a Nigerian guy and a South American guy (cannot remember exactly which country he said) named Juan. I was not hugely taken with either guy. I agreed to go into a room with Juan for massage, which ended in mutual masturbation and he gave me a BJ. We agreed on €50 and I gave him €60 - we are in the room from maybe 40 minutes altogether. The sauna was a bit quieter than I anticipated, so I asked Juan if it had been busier earlier in the day, and he said it was. So the next day Thursday I made an effort to be there by 4 pm. Second Night - Thursday There was a bigger crowd of guys this time. Maybe 15 escorts and slightly more customers. Several escorts approached me, but none very aggressively. I had a chat with Juan, who was there again, and seemed anxious for repeat business. In general the feeling I got was that they rentboys were nearly all South American guys. However, I did not like to question too much if I wasn’t interested in them, as I didn’t want to be seen to be "leading them on", so to speak. I went for a dip in the little pool there ( a very pleasant feature which few mention in reviews) and saw a rather moody looking guy sitting in the seats in the corner at that level. He was a rather handsome, masculine, Eastern European looking kind of guy, so I went over and said hello. He was the only guy I took the initiative to approach in the Sauna. He turned out to be a Russian guy called Ivan. We we had a chat and we agreed to go to a room. The only free rooms were both very dark and small, so I decided to splash out €10.50 for a private room The main advantage this was that it had sheets on the bed, and you could turn the lights up a lot, all the better for appreciating Ivan's fine physique! Ivan told me he was straight, and top only. He had previously been a professional footballer. But now he was unemployed, and needed money. We agreed to €60 for him to give me a massage and mutual masturbation. The massage was a bit hard for me - he told me he had been trained in proper sports massage, but I am more used to the light rubbing you get in Thai sexy massage place as a prelude to the "afters". He then offered to fuck me. However, I was not in the mood for that, so I just told him I wanted him to cum. He said that he wanted another €30 or €40 for that, so I decided not to bother (there is nothing as desire-killing, as a guy who starts to negotiate in the middle of a session). In fairness to him, however, we had not discussed it before we entered the room, and I know it would probably hinder his ability to do so with a later client. So I didn’t hold that against him Instead I just got him to wank me until I came. In the room, he seemed a little morose. I asked him if he was thinking of going back to Russia, and he said he was afraid to at the moment, with the possibility of conscription into Putin's war machine. When we ended our session though, he accepted his €60 with a big smile, and volunteered to give me his phone number so we could arrange a session outside Thermas. So I think he was happy with his 40 minutes work and remuneration overall. However, as I was flying out the next day, I couldn’t take him up on the offer. All in all, although it was not the most exciting sex experiences I have had, it was very pleasant and relaxing The rentboys all stayed out of the clients locker area, and it felt a very safe environment for both the rentboys and clients.

  33. i was at Thermas just now, it took me some time to find someone I like, most of the boys were bottoms or not hot at all. but once when I thought Thermas was a miss, a couple of boys walked in by 6 pm and one of them, a Colombian, has the biggest one I've seen in a while there was a moment that I was the only client walking around. So after a couple of "hi" with the Colombian we ended up together and it was great, I still will recommend Thermas, I will check it out on Saturday and i will report back, a

  35. All of what you say is probably true. I agree he should probably have waited for backup, unless there was some urgency in the message suggesting someone's life was in danger. I don't find it persuasive that the gun wasn't directly pointed at him, since obviously that can change in less than half a second. It may be that the deputy has the lion's share of culpability. The cop may not have followed standard operating procedures, and, if so, he should suffer the legal consequences. That being said, the victim's best options, as you said, were to either not open the door, or to open it without the handgun in his hand. Even if the deputy was mostly at fault, I feel it's bad judgment to respond to a banging announcing a cop (even if it's someone who's really not a cop, just someone pulling a practical joke) with gun in hand. And, according to the video, this was in broad daylight, not the middle of the night.
