Yes he did. He was returning to the US for treatment to his kidneys. Some posters on another forum loathed him, even gloating at his demise. Not that board's finest hour, in my view. He had made enemies when he owned it. We'd often breakfast together at Ambiance. He was good company. He had two rooms there on a long-term rental. Penthouse suites, one for him, the other for whoever his plats de jour were. Note the plural. I knew one of his entourage well, indeed, had been offing him for some years. Whatever other posters said, he was liked by his guys (a big thing for me, much more important than being liked by falang visitors and expats) and this was confirmed by P who knew him by repute and whose judgement I respect.4 points

Language barrier is always a challenge when it comes to chemistry, but i do find that using key words with thai accent helps them understand better. This works in other countries and languages as well, even when i speak malay in indonesia, if i imitate their accent, itll be easier for them to understand me. Ive observed similar thing in vietnam, japan and korea as well. One particular incident in vietnam made me realize this. I was ordering an ice tea, from the counter at the cinema, where they sell lipton ice tea in the bottle. After repeating few times in clear standard english, with him not understanding what im saying, i resorted to sign language and pointed to the bottled drink behind him. Immediately he says, ooooo "aih" tea. So afterward, i tried few times imitating their accents, and definitely improves the communication hehe.4 points

Boyztown was full. You'd struggle to get a seat in BB on Saturday nights. At Panorama, seats in the front three or so rows were invariably full by the early evening. There was an air of vibrancy, movement and excitement quite different to anything visible in the last fifteen years plus. The number of dancers was staggering. BB invariably had up to one hundred. Cockpit forty plus. Toyboys thirty or so. Many punters plus many guys equals vibrant. Or for those of us lucky enough to be there, the Golden Age. Those times have passed. Nevertheless, I still travel there enthusiastically three times a year...well, to Jomtien/Pattaya. And there are many aspects that are better than in those days....restaurants, for example, travel to the airport, a real bug bear in the Golden Age. And the growth of jomtien and improvements to Pattaya's beach. And I forgot, the apps for those who get bored in the afternoons. Read Michael Burchill's book.2 points

I, for one, take consolation in fact that Troy is older than me, 555 ( ha, ha, ha). As for communication with boys fortunately rarely we discuss with them merits of Thailand adopting riel as currency or Thai politics during II World War so it's fairly easy. They more or less know what we want and we more or less know whet they expect in exchange. What I found handy to break the ice is to take some interest in them. Even if language barrier prevents us from asking what city they are from or do they have siblings etc I always try to point on something they are wearing ( shoes, watch, t-shirt , tattoo) and thump it up showing I pay attention to them , not only their bulge. It may even pay in some benefit, when I asked boy from now defunct New Twilight what simple tattoo on his chest means ( names of his parents ) he proclaimed " ok, long time ok ' even if declined idea just two sips of cola before.2 points

Part 5 After capping off Friday night unexpectedly earlier than planned, we found ourselves waking up way too early and after a quick uneventful breakfast, Jake suggested that we take advantage of the weekend and explore Chatuchak Market. Not my usual preference but I thought why not. Taking the BTS, Jake and I alighted at Mo Chit Station, and as we make our way through the sweltering Mid morning heat, I started to doubt if I made the right choice. The sprawling market stretched out before us, overflowing with stalls selling everything from clothing and accessories to handicrafts and souvenirs ---- and I must say that the variety of goods are a bit different from what you'll see in Pratunam or similar areas with quite a number of Thailand made items as well which can make the trip worth the effort. The sheer variety of products on offer was overwhelming, and it was easy to lose track of time amidst the labyrinth of alleys and vendors. But as the day wore on and the sun beat down mercilessly, the heat became unbearable. Desperate for relief, we sought refuge in a nearby massage shop, enticed not just by the promise of relaxation but primarily the coolness of the air conditioning. We settled into comfy chairs side by side, grateful for the break from the scorching heat while getting our feet massaged. As the skilled masseuses worked their magic on our tired muscles, I closed my eyes and let myself sink into a blissful relaxation. Meanwhile, Jake, sitting beside me, couldn't seem to resist grabbing and playing with my hand. At first, I felt a bit self-conscious about Jake's affectionate gestures in public, but as the massage relaxed me more and more, I let go of my worries and simply enjoyed the moment. As we continued our exploration of the market, I found myself impressed with Jake's natural charm and talent when it came to haggling. Unlike me, who often felt awkward negotiating prices, Jake effortlessly struck up conversations with vendors, his friendly demeanor and easy banter making it seem like a game. Thanks to his skills, we scored some great deals and found ourselves lugging a good haul without burning holes in my pocket. Feeling lazy to walk back to BTS, we took a bolt taxi going back to the hotel. We both fell asleep in the middle of the traffic with me managing to wake up a few minutes before reaching the hotel. We then went straight to the shower to wash the market off us and had food delivered for dinner. By 9 pm, we had finally regained enough energy to venture back to Silom. Hailing a taxi, I decided to give Banana Club another chance. Despite its lackluster performance last time, I am willing to give it another shot. As we arrived, the familiar atmosphere greeted us, but this time, there seemed to be a promising increase in the number of guys. Inside, the ambiance was lively, with the performers putting on a show that was far more entertaining than our previous visit. I counted fifteen guys this time, a significant improvement from the mere four from before. The energy in the club was positive, and we found ourselves enjoying the experience much more than anticipated. However, I couldn't help but notice a "flaw" in Banana Club's layout. The curtain door allowed potential customers to peek inside before deciding whether to enter or not. This resulted in numerous customers walking away without even stepping foot inside, which wasn't good for business - although good for clients. One particular guy caught my attention. He's both beefy and cute, and he stood out from the rest. Impulsively, I handed him a pink bill, only to have the eager Papasan assume I wanted him to join us. Not wanting to embarrass the guy, who introduced himself as Nai from Myanmar, I went along with it. Despite his limited English, Nai was incredibly friendly and eager to engage in conversation. Moments later he will have his arms around me while watching the show. However, this unexpected turn of events seems to have created a slight tension between me and Jake (or it could just be my imagination). The usual chatty him has now been reduced to one word cold responses. Attempting to diffuse the situation, I promised Nai that I would see him again soon, generously tipping him before sending him back to the stage. Exiting the club, I knew I needed to address the awkwardness between Jake and me. Suggesting we grab dessert somewhere, I attempted to lighten the mood. Gradually, Jake's chatty demeanor returned, and we found ourselves wandering the streets of Silom aimlessly. As we waited for a taxi, Jake asked why I didn't off Nai. Playfully, I deflected his question, hinting at the intimacy of our previous night and how I prefer that instead. He laughed, pulled me into a hug, planting a kiss on my neck. In that moment, I felt a rush of conflicting emotions. While part of me relished the affection, another part recognized the need to address whatever this thing is between us before they spiraled out of control.2 points

Contrasting MedellĆn and Rio (Colombia and Brazil are very diverse, huge territories), the quality of sex and the kinds of boys are very similar, and I do not see much difference in the culture other than the spoken language and the side effects contrasts between a mediterranean and a beach city. The differences are rather in the "logistics". We should open an entire new thread to discuss these differences and similarities.2 points -

Hi guys! Iām currently in Cairo and want to give an update to the current state of affairs as Iāve seen them. Grindr is packed with guys and so many seem effortlessly masculine. Iām a middle aged bear and the first night I stayed in Zamelak which is very central and decided to do a Grindr boost for an hour just for research purposes. I got 125 messages in that first hour. There is a warning when you open the app that speaks about police profiling. I asked a few guys and one even laughed about it. The general consensus is itās not an issue and two even said they wouldnāt touch a tourist at all. The difficult part is for obvious reasons they only show disappearing photos so it quickly gets out of hand when it comes to remembering who you are talking to when youāve got five or six possible suitors in conversation. I stayed at the Marriott on the island using points I saved up and it was nice. But security was tight getting in. Possibly going to dinner first in the hotel and then sneaking up later would work? (It must be said Iām not meeting with anyone this trip because Iām traveling with a close girlfriend). The Airbnb Iām currently in would absolutely work though for hookups as there are no doormen at all. I wonāt be able to comment on the availability of guys further south in the historical zones of Luxor and Aswan as Iāll be on a cruise and unable to meet up. waking through Khan el-kalili souk was incredible and I feel if I were alone Iād be able to street cruise. Egyptians have been very gracious and welcoming of me and are proud of their country. Itās been very endearing and Iām glad Iāve come back after a dozen years gone. Iād like to come back solo and really have fun. The talent pool seems endless here.2 points -

From Thai PBS World Koh Samui ā The murder trial of a famous Spanish actorās son opened Tuesday on a popular Thai tourist island, where he will face charges of killing another foreigner. Chef Daniel Sancho Bronchalo, 29, pleaded not guilty at a hearing in November to the murder of 44-year-old Colombian plastic surgeon Edwin Arrieta Arteaga on the nearby Koh Pha Ngan island. The trial opened Tuesday on the honeymoon isle of Koh Samui, with scores of Spanish reporters flying in ā despite being barred from the tiny courtroom. Sanchoās father, well-known Spanish actor Rodolfo Sancho, arrived at court shortly after 8:30 am (0130 GMT). āHe is fine,ā he said, declining to answer any further questions. Sancho has been in pre-trial detention in Thailand since August, after police said he had admitted to the murder. Under Thai law, premeditated murder convictions carry the death penalty. However, Arrietaās family previously said they would not seek the death penalty. Sancho has admitted to hiding Arrietaās body ā which carries up to a year in jail ā but he denies the second charge of destroying the Colombianās passport. Police found body parts that are believed to belong to Arrieta in early August at a rubbish dump in Koh Pha Ngan. CCTV footage obtained by local media showed Sancho and the victim on a motorcycle together shortly before the remains were discovered. Police said in August Sanchoās motive for the killing was unclear.1 point

"Happy Place." Pattayaland Soi 2. It had many good features- clean toilets for one. It was a personal request from Neil to P and me to visit and so we couldn't turn him down although being "past" bars by that time. It must have been the last time the two of us were in a go go bar together! Neil was in poor health and wanted to semi-retire. He left the bar in the hands of an old friend, one of the dancers from Throb. Apparently, this guy rented the premises to associates for out- of- hours parties. Neil was told and, in in the small hours, went there and sacked the mamasan on the spot. He was replaced by yet another friend who had previously been dismissed from Neil's entourage after some unacceptable behaviour ( don't ask) in one of Bangkok's swankiest hotels. Very cute , as I recall. As for the bar, the music was too loud for sensitive souls like me and nor were the guys to to my taste....too macho. Neil put a lot of money into the project.1 point

Those side tables have their advantages! The boys often line up on stage naked, but holding a large sheet in font of them to provide a teasing show when you face them as their erect cocks push out the sheet . But from the side you can usually see very clearly those same cocks in the gap between sheet and boys! Worked for me several times hahaha. Toy Boys is, for me at least, the No 1 agogo in BoyzTown and a happy mix of twinks and hunks. Usually a happy atmosphere in there with everyone having fun, customers and boys. The boys also like the bar as there is usually a steady stream of boys being borrowed for the night. I have had more offs from that bar than any other in Pattaya, including several that have become much loved 'regulars'. Just a shame that the drinks are so expensive haha. Also in BoyzTown, Classic Boy Bar (used to be Cupidol) is a twink heaven. Pikky Bar is a quieter open bar, several well know faces seem to 'retire' here from the other bars, but a great place to relax with (a much cheaper) drink and watch the world go by. Good to see you making it to Nice Boys in Sunee, it remains the last 'hands-on' bar for mutual HJs and BJs in Pattaya, and the boys are far from shy! hahaha.1 point

I think Mr Gareth, the unfortunate victim, was extremely unlucky to slip in such a way to impale himself on the glass. A really freak accident ? Maybe ? you mention boys Keith. The biggest accident risk they run is injury as a result of motor bike accidents. Iāve had the need over the years to examine boyās bodies for research purposes and found that most have scars from these accidents plus very often evidence of broken collar bones. There is an instinctive tendency to use the arm to brake falls from moving motor bikes, cycles, and moving ridden animals causing fractures. Boys also sometimes show burn scars following cooking in their rooms with unsafe equipment using most frequently bottled gas.1 point -
Is "don't call me" the new standard internationally now?
splinter1949 reacted to bkkmfj2648 for a topic
One of the joys of retiring in Thailand is that the past is still alive. When I lived in New York City in the 80s is was still popular for concierge / bell boy services to still be free and abundant in many of the NYC residential buildings. Fast forward with the western move to outsource everything and to eliminate formerly "free" services - these types of free concierge services quickly disappeared - remaining only for the elite and ultra rich people. I moved to Pattaya 18 months ago and the services available to us condo dwellers in View Talay are amazing and remind me of that time in NYC when we also had these free services. For example - I don't own a car - but when I first started settling into my condo - I had to make many big purchases and rent special Bolt vans - SUVs to get these purchases home. I would struggle to get them out of the Bolt when it arrived to the View Talay lobby and amazingly, many from the condo security team would run towards me to help me unload these large boxes and then assist me with the freight elevator and bring them into my condo room - all for free - and with a BIG smile as they are always happy to see you return home. Of course I tipped them all. This is one example of many where the free services we get in Thailand are a remnant of what we used to get back in the west.... so, retire in Thailand and have the joy of going back in time :>))1 point -

Pita bids farewell to parliament
splinter1949 reacted to reader for a topic
From Thai PBS World Former Move Forward party leader Pita Limjaroenrat bade farewell to parliament last night, saying that this debate may be the last of his political career, before the party is dissolved by the Constitutional Court. Making his closing speech at the end of the two-day general debate against the government, Pita, currently advisory chairman to the Move Forward party leader, talked about the partyās victory in the May 14 general election while missing out on the formation of the government. He gave his assessment of the poor performance of the Pheu Thai-led administration over the past seven months, ranging from its failure to carry out the reforms it promised to the lack of leadership by the prime minister, lack of vision, national agenda and any credible achievements. Pita said that he does not regret the fact that his party won the election and managed to cobble together 312 votes in parliament, against the Pheu Thai partyās 314, but ended up being pushed into opposition which, he added, is an important role in a democratic system. āI will never regret that this debate may be the last of my political career. There is no secret about it, everybody knows that my political career is hanging by a thread, but I am ready to walk away as a victor,ā said Pita, adding that the likelihood of the dissolution of the Move Forward party will not prevent Thailand from moving towards change and will hasten the pace of the partyās advance toward victory. Given the responses of ministers against opposition MPsā criticisms during the two-day debate, Pita said he regrets the loss of opportunities for the country, for the confidence placed in the government by the people and the support that his party gave to the government. Instead of the governmentās āIgnite Thailandā slogan, the former Move Forward party leader said he would prefer the slogan āDarkness of Thailandā, as he pointed out the governmentās ādarknessā or failures in eight areas, among them being constitutional amendments, bureaucratic reform, economic stimulation, justice process reform and improved quality of life for the people.1 point -

Day 10, still in Phnom Penh In the morning we turned fully synchronized , he wanted to go to the gym and me to Royal Palace right after they open at 8. Our good bye embrace was quite long and then for first time in my zillion meetings with boys in Thailand and Cambodia I heard apology from guy that he charged me too much. I was quite touched , I knew I gave him bit more than market but bit doesnāt meant twice or trice more. He told me what he needs money for and for me it sounded quite pleasurable so all I could say was ā my pleasureā and there was not an inch of exaggeration in my statement. That was sweet indeed. I could walk to Royal Palace but being strong believer of supporting local industry I hailed tuk-tuk . Of course local industry thought I may be stupid tourist and quoted me something like 16000 for what itās walking distance so I offered 1$ (4000) and kept walking and of course local industry agreed ā ok, ok , 1 dollarā , three minutes later we were there and I spoiled local industry with 2000 tip. I was one of first visitors and almost felt I have place to myself for first few minutes. Here are some pictures In hour and half I completed my tour and went to Warsaw for a breakfast hoping they will have rye bread and Polish sausage which is exactly what I was served plus some other cold cuts and cheeses. Again it was too opulent but after 10 days of feasting on hotel and Foodland treats of fried eggs and toasts I cleaned my plate. As cold cuts tasted surprisingly un - industrial I asked and my suspicions were confirmed. They have local source , another Polish guy who produces sausages, hams and other treats. Chesses were from the stores though . Who would think ?, Polish ham made in Cambodia ! All that plate for 5$ ( 20000), tea included. Then to hotel to pack whatever little I had. On Whatsapp I contacted driver who help me with his car in October of 2022 if he can t pick me up from the airport. I was surprised answer was immediate and on top of that he remembered very well me and even hotel I was staying because he asked if I still will stay there. No, this time instead of Royal Crown and Menās I opted for Kingsā Rock on the same side of river, around the corner from Royal Crown and walking distance to Old Market. I guess not many tourist are hiring drivers to go to Banteai Chhmar temple so itās how I become so memorable. He even recalled when we asked local lady how far temple is she told us about 20 minutes by motorbike while in fact it was 1 hr by car. So much about local knowledge ! I told him not to rush as it will be my first time in new airport and I want to walk around before we set off for the city.1 point

Day 9 After my guy departed I was left with my dreams so to speak and sleep soundly till quite late. Late breakfast for 16000 in Dolce Vita, quite sumptuous and then I went to Royal Palace as last two times I was in Phnom Penh it was still closed due to covid scare. Now is reopened for for some reason was closed today and I was directed to come tomorrow . So decided to treat myself with tour of island at confluence of Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers , tuk-tuk for 15$. Itās mostly new developments , in 2001 it was mostly wasteland but still at the southern top fishing village on boats survived. With new bridge access to an island is easy but old ferries are also circulating quite frequently. Tonle Sap river from new bridge Central Phnom Penh from other side Fishing village on the boats mighty Mekong in Phnom Penh Returned to hotel around 13.00 hoping my last night companion will keep his word and indeed first Line cameā Iām coming soonā and then at 1pm on the dot he showed up greeted in the lobby by welcoming committee i.e. me. Another fabulous , no rush session and it was darkening when he left. I feel hungry so decided to try that Polish place I discovered last night. I chose quite typical fare of chicken soup and schnitzel with potatoes, only beer reminded me Iām dining in Cambodia , not in Europe. Very tasty but in my opinion servings were too generous for the climate. I was hungry and still did not manage to eat it all. 11$ plus tip. My treats (glasses not included) : In meantime I received another cheering message , this time from S (day 3 ) that he is planning to join me in Siem Reap tomorrow evening. After exhausting exercises of last night and this afternoon I felt bit in need of nap so went to hotel for 2 hours sleep rightly expecting that tonight it will be another session. In the evening to my headquarters in Phnom Penh i.e. Space Hair. For another evening of fun there. My last night guy did not waste much time to inquire if he should see me come after work which I guess both of us expected to happen. I must say I got quite drunk tonight , switching to gin and tonic did better job that those lady -like Margaritas and Cuba Libres. Of course not that drunk to forget where I live or that I will have guest tonight, all was under control. Soon after me my guy showed up and I had impression he was even more clingy and passionate then last night and in the afternoon.1 point

Day 8 My room was booked without breakfast so in the morning I purchased breakfast coupon for $8, princely sum in Cambodia and went to sister venue OK Boutique around the corner where breakfasts are served on top floor with beautiful view over central Phnom Penh. Yesterday I purchased tour to Killing Fields. Very sobering place where mass executions were conducted by Khmer Rouge. I was there on my first Cambodia trip in 2001 and wanted to see what changed during those years. They were supposed to pick me up at 10.00 , I was waiting on steps of my hotel and when I got impatient 45 minutes later guide finally appeared to pick me up. We went to few other hotels to pick up other tourists as well as picked up few at another sobering place ā infamous S-21 Tuol Sleng prison. Killing Fields are on the outskirts of Phnom Penh and while 23 years ago road leading there was atrocious , now is paved all the way. Another thing I noticed is absence beggars without limbs , victims on landmines. Them they were I ubiquitous all over Cambodian cities , now is rarity to see one. I wonder what happened as a lot of them then were quite young. One hopes they were taken care of somehow. On the road they played movie about Pol Pot life , rise and fall, very objective and hiding nothing. Including my Cambodian pet peeve- fact that after Vietnamese removed Khmer Rouge, their atrocities were will known and 2 million skulls strewn in the countryside and still Thailand and West supported their regime of so called Democratic Kampuchea on international stage including UN seat. If we think that politics are dirty thereās no place better to contemplate it than Cambodia. Centre point of the place is temple -like monument with skulls on shelves, new thing there is another monument picture of which I show below. Sadly, that place along with Tuol Sleng are a must visit at least once to understand better what happened in Cambodia but also to appreciate how far country moved from that horror although past is still present and oddly house of Ta Mok, one of Pol Potās bloody henchmen in Anlong Veng close to Thai border is still place which I was told some locals still visit with reverence. I remember talking to some journalist well versed with SE Asia affairs in mid-80ties and he told me that thanks to Khmer Rouge and their killing spree Cambodia is only country in the region without problem of grandchildren still toiling in half slavery to pay debts their grandparents took to pay for their wedding. That would explain Ta Mok nostalgy Iād say. It was nice to return to vibrant city , after a bit of rest and my obligatory mid-day tea I decided to try massage at Arthur and Paul gay hotel. Inspiration came from one of our tour participants being picked up and dropped there. It looked as classy place so I said to myself āabout time to see and tryā. For 8000 riels (2 $) tuk -tuk took me there. I was hoping guy I spotted on Grindr, hunky hunk working there will be present but unfortunately no. 1.5 hr massage fee was 28$ , certainly well above Cambodian standard. There were 4 guys available, none of them close to my type but all smiling so I picked up one whose smile was widest. Room quite spiffy but container with soap in the shower was empty , not for that price thought I. After morning experience certainly I was not in the mood to complain or get sour about anything. Massage was skilled but when temperature raised and was time for masseur to remove his excessive clothing i.e. undies and towel he quoted me tip of 40$ , again quite a sum for Cambodia but if one gets massages in classy places must be prepared to pay thought I and agreed. At least Iām glad I tried the place. Next time I will be trying to secure that hunk I guess. Right beside Artur and Paul is Rambutan, popular in gay circles with rooms about half price of those at A $ &P but still twice as much Iām paying at my OK Palace . I did not need an accommodation but after running whole day on breakfast and bottle of Hanuman Black beer I gulped on my way from Killing Fields not at 6 ot 7 pm I was hungry so decided to eat there. Another tourist place with prices to match , 15$ I paid for dinner I summarized in my diary as ā; money not spent wellā . Upon return I alighted on Pasteur street and then walked to soi where my friend told me Toolbox bar was resurrected and asked me if that is true. Indeed I found it, from info I got itās just across the soi whom old location but inside was nobody and outside was sitting lone twink , not exactly of my type but for those venturing there I confirm , Toolbox was resurrected. It was short walk to my hotel from there and when passing Saravoan Royal Palace hotel on street 178 I thought I have stroke . Warsaw ? Polish place that far ? Indeed it was newly opened restaurant so for those craving Central and Eastern European food there place for you and very easy to find ā right beside old location of Blue Chili bar and 200 meters from National Museum. Price list looked quite human so I took note where I will have my dinner tomorrow. Too bad I overspent at Rambutan when I could have likely better food ( I love schnitzels an European soups) for Ā½ price and steps from my hotel. In the room I freshened up , took shower to remove oil after that massage , packed my pockets with money ā you know my system perhaps ,50 $ this pocket, two 20$ in another few 10 , 5 and 1 in third one, some 20000 riels here and some 10000 there . This way I donāt need to show wad of money when tipping or paying bill. This all in preparation for another fun evening at Spice Hair bar. Walked there and when arrived, I guess it was 21.00 or 21.30 there were no customers but 7 guys on duty already. How do I know? Because seeing them unemployed I took pity and ordered 8 drinks. You should hear an applause , probably heard as far as Sum and Moon hotel which is next door to the bar. Fun started , luck had it that two guys I liked the most positioned themselves beside me and soon after bar started filling up with patrons and few more boys. Guys made sure Iām entertained, I stole kiss or 4 from guy on my left, made discretely sure that guy on my right is not a girl by strategic hand placement and it was well understood by asking question whereās my hotel. Hour or two later he expressed curiosity to check if I have balcony and view from it which led to suggestion he is willing to check it after bar closes on his way home. I explained to him that in case he will feel tired thereās sofa in the room which led to an instruction where Iām supposed to wait for him. Around 1 at night I left , waited where instructed which took a while because as I said earlier, guys there must stay on duty as long as bar is opened . Knowing procedure it was sweet waiting. Soon after were at hotel. No fuss over bringing guest that late, no questions asked. In the room he notices sofa is not comfortable enough but bed is big and shyly ( ok, not) suggested we share it which we did in gusto. Fabulous 2 or 3 hours, when he left it was still dark, earlier in the bar he offered some plausible explanation why he canāt stay till morning so I was Ok with that , if only because he offered time compensation ā if you want I can come at 1 tomorrow ā which felt like Christmas day for me.1 point
