  1. Latest batch of pics from the Winner Boys FaceBook page. Having visited the bar several times last month I can confirm a number of new boys and overall a more lively and positive vibe about the bar than I remember for a number of years.

Flew Nonstop on Thai Airways in Business class, old 777-200 tired plane, but still the best, friendliest service going. I did my e- Visa on arrival while in Bangkok and so angry at myself for not noticing an error on my passport expiry date. It self populated from the scan of the passport, but while I scrolled down, I must've changed the date without knowing. The immigration guy was super nice and great English...when he said there was a problem, I thought it was I entered my hotel address as Bali, because in my mind I was going to Bali first. But that wasn't it, was the wrong expiration date of my passport. My option was to do it online again, go to the VOA counter and he said if I had exact Indo cash, I could pay there. He seemed surprised I had IDR, I paid him...I thought it was a scam, but he gave me an official printed receipt and was easy without having to line up again. It was 500,000 IDR ($30usd) cheap mistake but still mad at myself for being so careless. I had forgotten how much time from the airport into Jakarta, 1 hr. Grab was about $20usd. By the time I got into my hotel and unpacked, it was raining, I just watched some youtube and chatted on some apps and went to sleep. Next day I was looking on Grindr and someone in the same hotel on a work trip hit me up...a nice 25 yr old guy sent me his pics, but since he was with a large group of people from his job was really shy about meeting, be we did have fun. The thing that is annoying here, since it's a Muslim country, most everyone is deeply in the closet. Using fake profile pics or old pics. When they do send you a pic, it's always an expiring one....Lots of free action and massage guys. One guy asked for a million and I laughed at him, everyone else was 400k-500k.$25-32usd. Did a live chat with a 26 yr old, looked latino to me and we made plans to come over. I'm staying at the DoubleTree and they have an executive lounge with free drinks....he's not a big drinker but had 2 beers and got tipsy, cheap date! He gave a 2 hr amazing massage and GREAT sex....he came about a liter, or so it seemed. He said he hadn't had sex in a long time. This is the advantage over Thailand, where sex is like a job, here it's a treat šŸ˜ I ended up going with him again 2 more times...why keep searching when you found something so good? No expensive drinks, no crazy off fees but not as convenient as Thailand. The gay disco Apollo that I went to last time here, has closed, Covid victim. He said there are a couple of places frequented by gay guys...the cover is about $15usd , is a little far from my hotel, no thanks. Indonesia is so affordable....I had a fat attack and wanted McDonald's, the food was piping hot and fresh, a double cheeseburger combo mean and a filet o fish sandwich was $5....that would easily be $15 is Thailand or USA. One Grab motorbike ride was 35 cents USD and another was $1,01. While walking in the street, almost everyone looks at me, like I'm an alien, kind of strange, but there aren't many westerners here, especially walking in the streets. Tomorrow I'm taking the luxury executive train to Surabaya, even fewer westerners I'm told. Is an 8 hr tip but in a business class type lie flat seat. The sights look nice from the videos I've seen, but I'm sure a couple of hours into it I'll be thinking, why the fuck am I doing this, lol

  5. From Associated Press Landlocked Laos doesn't have the famous beaches of its neighbors to attract tourists, but instead relies on the pristine beauty of its mountains and rivers and historical sites to bring in visitors. The crown jewel is Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where legend has it that Buddha once rested during his travels. It brings all the elements together, with its mix of historic Laotian and French colonial architecture on a peninsula at the confluence of the Mekong and the Nam Khan rivers. But a multibillion-dollar dam project underway 25 kilometers (15 miles) upstream has prompted concerns that it could result in the city losing its UNESCO status, and broader questions about what the government's ambitious plans to build multiple dams across the Mekong will do to the river, the lifeblood of Southeast Asia. ā€œWhen the Luang Prabang Dam is complete, and it's already well under construction, the river is going to trickle into a dead body of water,ā€ said Brian Eyler, director of the Washington-based Stimson Center's Southeast Asia Program and its Energy, Water and Sustainability Program. "The people going to Luang Prabang as tourists to see the mighty Mekong and see how the Lao people interact with the river, all those interactions are going to be gone ā€” all the fishing, meaningful local boating and commerce done by locals on relatively small boats will end.ā€ The dam is also being built near an active fault line, and though studies of the design conclude it could withstand an earthquake, local residents are worried. For Som Phone, a 38-year-old tour boat operator and lifelong Luang Prabang resident, memories of the 2018 collapse of another dam in Laos that killed dozens and displaced thousands, blamed on shoddy construction, are still fresh. ā€œMany people died,ā€ he said. Luang Prabang is not yet on UNESCO's list of endangered World Heritage sites, but the Paris-based agency has outlined a series of concerns, including the protection of historic buildings and the effect of the dam project on protected wetlands and the city's riverbanks, and is awaiting a report back from Laos.

Good old days. I really miss the Babylon (the old one at the beginning of the road, now an apartment house and of course the new Babylon). The Pinnacle had a quite high gay factor during those days. From time to time I still book Pinnacle the have a confirmed homebase from where I do some trips around BKK and Hua Hin because it's so cheap. Pinnacle is a bit ran down nowadays, but still ok for that purpose. I had never the impression of a hippy ghetto though.

Enjoyed the video and the narrators. My experiences of staying in the area was between 2003-2009 when I was a devotee of the legendary Babylon, about a 10-15 minute walk away. I stayed either at the Pinnacle or Malaysia hotels and had no complaints about either. At the Pinnacle I used to book through a local guy who lived in the hotel (think Jimmy was his name) who could save you a few hundred baht a night. I don't recall the area being a hippe ghetto it was in the 80's and 90's and never recall feeling unsafe walking around. But once Babylon began losing its allure, I began staying primarily in the Silom area.

    90 day visa exemptions

From Pattaya Mail By Barry Kenyon A Thai Cabinet decision is now awaited on the Tourist Authority of Thailandā€™s proposal to offer 90 days visa-exempt travel to citizens of UK, US, Australia and most of mainland Europe. The prime minister Srettha Thavisin is known to favour the move, according to his aide Prommin Lertsuridej, as a way of maximizing income from overseas visitors whilst reducing bureaucracy. Currently, these nationalities receive only 30 days without a prior visa, but can extend for a further month at local immigration for 1,900 baht. If they wish, they can then take a day trip to a land border (usually Cambodian) and repeat the procedure. However, this facility cannot be used more than twice in a calendar year. There is no formal restriction on the number of entries by air. Tourists are required to report their address to Thai immigration each time they enter the country via the notorious address form TM30. If they fail to do this promptly and require any service at immigration ā€“ such as extending their visa or requesting a certificate of residency to buy or sell a car or open a bank account ā€“ they will be fined even though the technical responsibility rests with the hotel or condominium residence ā€œhousemasterā€. Some establishments report all their guests online to immigration, but many do not or even fail to inform their guests. Foreigners attending the busy immigration offices, such as Jomtien, frequently complain that the long queues on many days are caused by tourists following the TM30 bureaucracy which creates a log jam affecting the whole process. If the proposed change was introduced, these nationalities would need to register on the TM30 just once on arrival as extensions and day trips to Cambodia would no longer be necessary for most tourists. A Cabinet decision is expected within days. Currently, only a handful of countries receive 90 days on arrival without a prior visa. They include Russia, South Korea and several South American countries. The extension to countries now envisaged would go a long way to reducing the numbers queuing at immigration for TM30 clearance more than once during their stay.

  22. From Pattaya Mail Artistā€™s conception of the future 310-meter sheltered walkway at Bali Hai pier, promising enhanced comfort and safety for visitors. Mayor Poramet Ngampichet led an on-site inspection on January 31 to assess the on-going pier improvement projects and the construction of a sheltered walkway at Bali Hai Pier. Acknowledging the challenges faced by residents and tourists, particularly during inclement weather, the Pattaya City administration allocated budgets for two significant projects. The first, managed by Civil States Limited, involves the refurbishment of the pier, encompassing the main walkway and Piers A, B, C, D, E. This comprehensive project, spanning 460 meters and featuring 40 staircases, includes concrete structure maintenance and the use of carbon fibre-reinforced polymer for increased strength. The inspection revealed a 10% completion status, with minor challenges arising from rising sea levels during daytime hours. To address this issue, work is now conducted during night-time hours, and the entire project is expected to conclude around May this year. Simultaneously, the construction of a sheltered walkway, managed by A.O. Steel Limited, is progressing. This project involves installing a roof structure covering a distance of 310 meters. The assembly of support columns and roofing at the factory in Bang Sai, Ayutthaya, is underway, with on-site installation scheduled to begin in early February, aiming for completion around March.

  25. Hey guys, Not a lot of things makes me happy these days. As the situation in my home country of Israel developes, I become more pessimistic about the future. Since October I'm drafted to the army and I expect that to end in several weeks. One thing that does make me happy, is planning. Due to the fragility of the situation, this trip has a high cancelation risk, so I'm booking it with full cancelation terms. After getting my husband approval, I'm booked for Songkran weekend in Bangkok! I'm expecting massive GCircuit parties and also will attend the Martin Garix set on the Siam Songkran event. First question, advice on lodging? Any particular advice regarding Songkran? I'm debating between Le Meridien, W, or staying near the GCircuit parties that will happen at the EmSphere on Sukhumvit. Also, any specific Songkran advice will be highly appreciated. Peace and Love ā¤ļø

    Trip Report (Jan 2024)

This recent trip was the longest I've stayed in Thailand (nearly a month) and was enjoyable despite some random health issues that decided to pop up. Rather than a day by day account, I'll just outline some interesting points. Bangkok Bars Dreamboys: I went here a few times, mainly to see my favourite boy and managed to off him just once. I think he is popular because on another two occasions I visited the bar, he was already booked by a customer. I felt as though the quality has dropped since last time, but there are still some gems. Screwboys: I was surprised by the high quality here actually, and there were lots of good choices to my taste. I had a short list of two, and it so happened to turn out that they are brothers (and Vietnamese). Took the older one first, and his English skills were really good and he was quite charismatic. The following night I went with the younger brother. Both were satisfactory, nothing earth shattering but an enjoyable time nonetheless. Mamasan was helpful and wrote down the badge numbers of boys that could do my requests. Freshboys: Didn't off anyone here, rather just watched the show and had a drink. I liked the choices here though, lots of toned twinks. Tawan: Just went here for the show as the boys here are much too big for me. Really relaxed atmosphere (although packed in like sardines), and the most x-rated show with a fucking show and jerk-off show amongst others. There were a couple of smaller looking guys in the rotation that would have been suitable for me, as well as the waiter. Banana bar: The majority of the show is katoeys, but they are the most stunning I've seen in all of the bars. The boys don't get much stage time, but I did spot one that I had offed previously when he used to work at Freshboys so we had a drink together. Smoking is allowed in this bar so you will smell like an ashtray when you leave. Moonlight: Went mainly for the show, which is very tame these days. Lots of good options in the rotation though, plus there are the models. Hotmale: A good line up here, and a good show (with very nice dicks). I went back with a Cambodian guy and he was lots of fun. Jupiter: Firstly, very impressed with the quality here. All model material and I could have easily gone with any of them. Mamasan told me the off fee and expected tip for boy, which he said 3000 for short time which I thought was a little on the higher side but maybe because they are models, the higher tip was expected. Or inflation. I ended up going with a nice Cambodian boy, sex was pleasant (but not earth shattering), and afterwards when I gave him 3000 he asked 'is that all?' I was confused, so then he said his rate was 5000. I was dumbfounded. To avoid any conflict I offered 4000 which he accepted. Note to myself for future, to always ask the boy what his tip expectations are, even if you know what the market price is. Kinda left a sour taste in my mouth, but this doesn't reflect so much on the bar itself. You live and you learn, and I'll put it down as an expensive mistake. Sol: The only bar I didn't manage to get to, but there is always next time. Massage Prime: I went here quite a few times, as I always do, and it's always high quality and run like a well-oiled machine. Advance bookings are required, although I think they are getting a little quieter now that high season is slowing down a bit. Jey Spa: My first time here. I booked in advance a boy who I had been admiring for quite some time, and I was really happy I finally met him. Exceeded my expectations too. Facilities are quite nice, and they are very responsive on Line. Senso: Only my second time here. The boy that I had last time was on vacation, so I chose another who was smiling and waving at me. He was a lot of fun and definitely worth a repeat when I come back. Kman: Last trip I had an excellent time here, so ended up booking the same boy and had an excellent time again. Prices here are much cheaper, but I tip generously. Hotels Quarter Silom: Good location. The rooms are a little small but well-presented, and with some interesting lighting controls. Rooms are not sound proofed, so you will hear everything. This hotel attracts I think mostly gay clientele, and there is lots of eye candy. Crowne Plaza: Probably my most favourite hotel in the area, but it does come with a hefty price tag. Very quiet, and very guest friendly. I came in late one night with boy in tow, and a manager-like person even pressed the elevator button for us. Le Siam: It's decent, and I did like staying on the other side of Silom Road for once. There are heaps of food options on Convent road which was great. Room size was okay and it is a little dated, but the price point was appropriate. Other things of note I finally met the esteemed @vinapu in person! My first forum member I have met, and we had lunch at Happy Beer Garden, whilst having pleasant conversation. Nice to meet you! To be continued...

    Tori Spa Hanoi

I had read their reviews. There were some red flags in some of the reviews, but most of the other reviews were quite positive. I decided to go see the place. When I arrived, the gate/door was closed, but not blocked. I opened that and walked into the downstairs area. If you look on their website, theyā€™re sitting on a couch talking to people often times.the area was filthy. The couch was filthy with obvious stains. There was a piece of cloth on a table next to the couch that was filthy. There were dishes in a sink to the right that looked like they hadnā€™t been washed in a week. I decided there was no way that I would go in there. and I also decided that there was no way I would have a massage there. So I left. I went to a spa that charged almost as much as Tori spa. Presumably, a totally legit spa. I was looking for a good massage. I got a good massage and scrub. It was beautiful. And my massage therapist gave me a happy ending which I was not expecting. So, I would strongly discourage people from going to Tori spa. It was hard to imagine that anyone would operate a business with that level of filth

  30. I was there just 2 weeks ago I both Siem Reap and Phnom Penh and can tell with certainty that neither hotel.i was staying made any fuss about visitors. Even when one arrived on motorbike and requested a kep to the gated parking area they gave it to him without aby question for him or me. Big chain hotels may be stricter but as everywhere else visitors issue largely depends on property and in fact on staff on duty at given moment. OK Boitique , OK Palace and Saravoan Palace hotels are your sure bets in Phnom Penh with bonus of being close to attractions and all 4 gay bars on existence I know of.

I have been to Negombo twice, both times because I wanted to be near the airport in the days before departure. As @fedssocr said, there's really nothing that would make Negombo an attraction in itself. The beach is difficult to access and is nowhere as nice as the beaches beyond Galle. Negombo is not even in a convenient location for accessing other attractions around Sri Lanka, which are mostly inland and in the mountains (other than the beach towns beyond Galle). I did have a massage once in Negombo that included a handjob, a so-so experience. I cannot now remember what the name of the place was, but it's not something I would want to make a trip for. I just happened to be in the town with nothing better to do.

  40. Easy to understand. For the gay guys who travel and participate on the forums ... it's not someplace we're very interested traveling to. 35+ years ago - before I was introduced to Thailand, and Brazil - I traveled to San Juan 5 or 6 times and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Not one of the guys I had sex with - and there were many - asked for money in exchange. Of course, I was younger and better looking than I am, now! There were some good gay bars with nude go-go boys, great beaches, etc. The owners of the St. Marks Baths in NYC had a gay baths in St. Juan which was a wild place (later taken over by one of the Chicago gay baths owners).

  43. The W Hotel offers a more vibrant party atmosphere compared to Le Meridien, particularly with its superior pool area and lobby bar. However, Le Meridien boasts a more advantageous location for those seeking easy access to massage services and bars. In contrast, the W Hotel has a slightly better location in terms of proximity to the BTS public transport system. While the W excels in ambiance, Le Meridien's executive lounge provides a pleasant setting for evening drinks, complemented by excellent staff service. Both hotels, however, are comparable in offering great buffet breakfasts.

  44. From Pattaya News Four foreign tourists in Pattaya found themselves in hot water after they staged a kidnapping scheme, leading to their arrest and the discovery of illegal drugs and firearms. The elaborate charade began when one of the men, a British citizen identified only as Ian, contacted his parents claiming heā€™d been kidnapped and that the kidnappers were demanding ransom. Worried and desperate, Ianā€™s parents, instead of sending money, alerted Thai and international authorities, triggering a swift investigation by the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) and the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB). Following Interpolā€™s tip-off, police raided the four foreignersā€™ rented house in Pattaya on Saturday, January 28th, 2024. While no signs of the alleged kidnapping were found, the officers stumbled upon a different kind of surprise: A stash of illegal drugs, including crystal methamphetamine, and a loaded revolver with ammunition. The four individuals, two Englishmen, a Frenchman, and a New Zealander, were promptly apprehended on charges of drug possession, firearm possession, and visa overstay. As it turned out, the kidnapping was nothing more than a desperate ploy concocted by Ianā€™s friends, facing financial woes in Thailand, to try to extort money from his family. The names of those arrested were not released to the media. ===================== Parachutes from Pattaya Condo to his death A 33-year-old British man tragically lost his life when the parachute he was using malfunctioned after jumping from a condominium complex in Pattaya. The tragedy took place on Saturday, January 27th, at an unspecified condominium complex in the Naklua sub-district of the Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Pattaya police and emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene following a report received around 7:30 PM. There, authorities found the lifeless body of a 33-year-old British national (name withheld pending family permission) sprawled on the ground near the condominiumā€™s exit. The victim had suffered fatal injuries while clutching a blue parachute, which the police suspected he had deployed in a failed attempt to slow his descent. Authorities covered the body with a white sheet before transporting him to a nearby hospital. During an interview with the condominium clerk, 33-year-old Mr. Kanet, it was revealed that the victim and his friends had gained unauthorized access to the premises, parking their car outside before scaling the building for a daring parachute descent. The entire incident was captured on video by a friend on the ground and another on the rooftop. Neither the victim nor his friends were residents at the condo nor had they sought permission from the condo management to perform the stunt, said Kanet. Tragically, the parachute malfunctioned, causing the victim to collide with a tree before plummeting to the ground. Mr. Kanet confirmed that the deceased had attempted similar clandestine parachute jumps from the complex on multiple previous occasions.
