I have seen guys retire and expire in the Philippines and Thailand, one common problem with those guys is they thought they could retire there and still carry on like a tourist. Without having plans to keep busy all they did was live the high life (so to speak), drink all day and night going from bar to bar their health soon deteriated to the point of no return. Moving to places like Thailand or the Philippines to live, in my view a person needs something to keep occupied with (other than drinking and whoring around), an interest in a hobby, maybe take up a course and do some studies etc, just something to keep the mind busy.5 points

Baño Turco Saint Moritz - Medellín

Live and learn.... found out today St Moritz in Medellin is really quiet on Sundays. It was hopping on Friday. But today only a few pretty chicos and one masculine guy were working. Fortunately the masculine guy is very good at his job. The three hottest guys there were civilians. They were holed up somewhere. But two came out to put on a BJ show in the bar area with one going down on his very tall, very good looking friend. I think they may have been northern Euros given how blonde the really tall one was and no sign of a suntan. Also found out the front desk has a street cam so you can see when your ride arrives. I went out to the deserted street a few minutes early and a guy appeared out of nowhere heading straight to me. I headed back in and the desk guy opened the door right away and the stranger followed me in. He left after a couple minutes of conversation. They wouldn't let me leave until we saw the Uber pull up. The desk guy and the masculine massage guy came out with me both shirtless and looking very macho. I was glad because the stranger was hanging out across the street.5 points -

I'm ready to go to sleep, so I better write this while I still remember what I did today, wasn't much, but details can get lost during sleep. Woke up about noon today, early for me. Ordered Thai food from a little hole in the wall, near Ambiance on Grab. $2usd delivered and I'd put the food against ANY thai restaurant I've been to. Went to Jomtien beach about 3pm, with the sole reason to get a manicure/pedicure.....a mamasan that used to work at Cupidol does amazing work and I get my change when I pay. Then she recommended a massage guy for a foor/leg massage...300 baht for 1 hr, he was decent and a good conversationalist. After the beach I headed to Sansuk sauna, was Sunday about 530pm and was quite busy. This is only my 2nd time there, my 1st time wasn't busy, however was mostly Asian guys, had fun. Last night, almost all foreigners, blah.....I did hook up with a Canadian Chinese guy, with a tiny dick....I knew how this was going to end....was like throwing a hot dog down a hallway. He couldn't stay hard, I didn't feel a thing, we both made excuses, I told him I lived in Brasil, he didn't get it, lmao. Headed to Nice Boys after there, with not that much cash. I had more in my room, but don't like going out with too much, in case it gets lost. The drunk guy that's usually obnoxious about asking to buy him drinks was either on the wagon or it was too early, but he's just as obnoxious sober. There were 3 guys I was interested in and could have gone with just about any of them, was interesting. One 20 yr old short guy, was def my type. He sat with a Japanese customer, they messed around a little and then customer left, without giving a tip, I was told 🙄 The lady mamasan advised against trying to go with him, she said he was new and too shy..... but did I listen, no!!! Since I was short on cash, they said I could pay the boy his off and his fee all at once, when I got to my hotel.....we never made it that far. Once we lft the bar, the kid wanted to take a moto taxi to Ambiance. I told him it's closeby and we could walk. His face looked like I just asked him to donate a kidney, lol He REFUSED to walk....good thing I hadn't paid the off yet. I went back in and explained what happened, none of the other boys could believe it and a few said "I'll walk with you". I was annoyed by this point, so I walked to my hotel for more cash. Went to Dreamboys to talk to a few people outside, they are always so friendly. Nothing was too intersting for me, so I walked by the same massage shop as last night. The more we got into details about where to do it in the shop or my room, seemed to be getting too complicated and I left, telling the guy from last night, we'll talk later. Then I went to the massage place on South Pattaya road, I think it's called Paradise? A couple of guys were outside and I acted like it was my 1st time in a place like that. Massage sample from 2 guys that I was choosing from...then I made my choice. Half way thru the massage, came the "do you want me to suck you?" question. He was super cute, for me, but I only wanted a chuck wow and he agrees. He pulled his pants down, great ass and a child sized penis, oh well....he was impressed with the size of my dick, which isn't saying much coming from him 😁 Finished and paid him 700 baht, which is what we agreed on, even though he asked for 1000, the Canadian Chinese guy was huge compared to him. I'll give him credit though, he followed instructions perfectly. I think I'll become more like @reader, at least if the sex isn't good, you have the chance of something of a massage. I'm sure I left a bunch of crap out, If I remember , I'll write about it, if it's worth it.4 points -

On my first visit to Thailand, I was 38. On my last visit, I am 76. My stamina was reduced, as was my libido, but I still had a great time in Bangkok. It was my first visit to Taipei and I liked it okay, especially the area round their skyscraper Taipei 101. I was shown so much respect. In both places. people volunteered their seats to me- yes, I look old!. It happened many times. And I went to massage parlors where I was treated with great respect and even admiration. Yes, the guys paid attention to my old body, but rather than criticize or avoid, I received admiration for my current shape and accolades for what they could see of my years of body building. I do look fit for a man my age,, having lost 50 pounds in the last two years. In Brazil in September at a sauna, a boy said to me with seemingly great sincerity "You are so handsome!" I immediately laughed, but in retrospect, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.3 points

Once in NY's Chinatown I stopped at a street market selling t-shirts and bought several. The elderly lady took them over to her wrapping station while I looked at other items. She then presented me the shopping bag, tied tightly at the top. When I got back to the hotel, I realized that she had substituted inferior and unwanted shirts in the bag, probably the ones she couldn't sell. So now I get back from Bangkok and Taipei with my bags of goodies and usually wonder why I thought that they were worth buying. Indeed, 4 of the shirts I never bought. The old substitution game continues. Wise up, Lucky!3 points

From Pattaya Mail A CCTV camera catches the moment when the drunken thug assaults a foreign tourist, all caused by a dispute over the 200 baht price tag for a bottle of beer. Recent concerns about disruptive incidents affecting Pattaya’s tourism image reached a pinnacle when an individual armed with a knife assaulted a foreign tourist in Jomtien. The incident which occurred at the intersection of Soi Na Jomtien 20 escalated due to reported dissatisfaction with beer prices set at 200 baht per bottle. Police arrested the suspect, identified as 52-year-old Bunsuk Kwan-on on January 19. Bunsuk was apprehended near the crime scene and found in possession of a fruit knife, believed to be the weapon used during the incident. Authorities also seized his clothing from the attack and a digital camera. During questioning, Bunsuk admitted to being the individual captured in CCTV footage. He claimed to have intervened based on a young woman’s harassment allegations by a foreign national, insisting his actions were misinterpreted. Notably, Bunsuk exhibited signs of intoxication, along with a lack of remorse and humorous remarks. As the investigation continues, Bunsuk Kwanoen faces charges of physical assault and carrying a knife in a public area without reasonable cause. ================== From Pattaya News2 points

You know when you are watching/reading a documentary about a dictator and you wonder why someone didn't do something about them before it was too late....we're at that point now. And you have people like Emmet just blindly following him and allowing it to happen. They talk about Biden destroying the country, but can't say how, because it's the best economy ever according to all the numbers, but they like to "scare" people with immigrants coming, saying they are all killers and drug dealers when they mostly want to clean hotel rooms, hospitality work, construction work, manual labor...you know all the things we have a shortage of in the country? The reason Trump didn't have this was because of Covid, and we know how fucking great everything was with the screaming Yam in charge during Covid....he's part of the reason it turned into a worldwide pandemic. Obama dealt with Ebola, Zika, H1N1 (swine flu) & SARS.....but you see the difference when you have a real leader in the White House being Proactive and organized with all the worlds health leaders, the outcome was very different than the Orangeman acting like a child and closing his eyes thinking it would go away on its own, like he did with syphillis. Remember Obama even left a pandemic "playbook"....yet, let's put this moron back in office so he can do Putin's work, dismantle NATO so he can take over Ukraine, China can have Taiwan and well, the US will be Trumps. Seth McFarland recently said on an interview if he is voting for Biden, he said when he votes he votes for the TEAM that each president will hire, attributing the president to being like a director and his staff/cabinet being like the Cinematographer, sound people, lighting people, etc....as a director he takes advice from his experts 95% of the times, same as a president should do......If Trump wins again, he will hire all YES men then won't disagree with him, like dictators do. So he said voting for Trump will be voting for a TEAM that will do whatever the President wants, which is dangerously like being a dictator. When Trump was asked if he's be a dictator....he never said NO, keep that in mind, he does everything in the open , thinking that makes it legal.2 points -

Flew Singapore airlines flight from New York- Singapore, used miles for Business class- was a bucket list item- Longest flight in the world, solid 19hrs. I liked it better than dividing the trip in Tokyo, got way more sleep and then a 1:45 flight from Singapore to BKK instead of a 6-7 hr flight from Narita. Went to VIP immigration section upon arrival, was kind of full, I followed a Thai guy that just snaked his way in between everyone with kids, they were too busy taking care of the kids, that we went unnoticed. My bag was 1st one out and found Mike Taxi right away and off to Pattaya we went. Staying at the Ambiance, booked this a few months ago and got 5 nights in a king superior room for $97 usd....comfortable beds, nice towels and sheets, convenient to everything and the receptionists all know me.... Took awhile to defrost the frozen mini fridge, so lost whatever time gained in BKK, ADD about certain things 🙄 Walked around, stopped by Paradise massage and a few of the guys caught my attention....the one that spoke English, wasn't the best looking, but had something about him that attracted me to him, I asked him for a sample of his massage and it was really good....I told him maybe tomorrow, and went to Dreamboys to see a few guys I know to check on them. With the price quoted at Paradise, all in...seemed like a better deal than the go-go bars, so I asked the guy that since it was almost closing time, if he'd come to my hotel, obviously he said yes, he hadn't had a client in 2 days....( he's not THAT ugly). Did EVERYTHING that I asked, only didn't give me the full hr massage that he promised, so I explained to him that's how to lose repeat business, over stupid shit. He promised to make it up to me if we go again, let's see...I'd go with him again. Grindr is very active...it's 5 am, I'm ready to sleep....tomorrow my plan is Jomtien about 2pm for manicure/massage on the beach then try Sansuk about 5-6pm and maybe another round with the Paradise sauna guy, or someone else from there. Since I'm not very good with trip reports, I'm going to try to report a little every day....see how that goes. Pic is of the Singapore seat made into a bed, other than Gulf Airlines first class....I think this is the best bed for flights to Asia.1 point -
Brazil Visa Requirement Postponed Again
Marc in Calif reacted to unicorn for a topic
The suggestion that the US's visa policy is even partially based on bigotry is factually incorrect and stupid, as I suspect you're well aware (either that or you're quite ignorant). The US's visa policy is designed to minimize the chance of letting people in who will overstay their visas. Chile and Argentina have very similar demographics, but the US requires visas from Argentinians and not Chileans, as Chile's economic situation is quite a bit more stable and Chileans don't tend to overstay their visas to the US. Same language, skin color, religion, and so on: just different statistics. Same for Brunei and neighboring Malaysia and Indonesia. Same race, religion, and language. Only the immigration statistics are different (Singapore citizens also don't need a visa). South Korea and Japan don't need visas, Chinese do. Croatians don't need visas, but Romanians do. It all comes down to past history and statistics, not to "bigotry." Don't make a fool of yourself by pretending otherwise.1 point -

It's crazy how big Prime has grown. I think the New Year rush is well over now as I was able to walk in and get a massage this evening with no wait. I didn't realize that they'd added another building to their portfolio. I wonder how many people are employed by their massage factory. I think I was handed off to four different people on the short walk across the soi to the other building. It was like a relay race. Excellent 90 mins massage. My masseur had surprisingly rough hands, but used just the right amount of pressure throughout. En suite shower in the new building was a nice surprise. There's a good reason this place is the standard.1 point

From Thailand News Agency The Immigration Bureau (IB) has introduced an online reporting system for foreigners staying in Thailand for more than 90 days, marking the first-ever implementation of this service. The initiative, initially targeting investors under the promotion of the Board of Investment (BOI), is expected to stimulate the economy and boost tourism in Thailand. Pol Lt Gen Itthipol Itthisarnronnachai, Commissioner of the Immigration Bureau, along with relevant authorities, announced the commencement of the “90 days online notification” service. This allows foreigners to report their residence status when staying in the kingdom for more than 90 days through an online platform. The system aims to provide convenience to international tourists, enabling them to submit advance notifications 15 days prior to the expiration of their 90-day stay. Notifications can be made at any time through the online portal at www.immigration.go.th. Once registered, users will receive a password via email, allowing them to log in and submit their 90-day notification. Approval results will be sent via email or accessed through the website www.immigration.go.th. The first phase of implementation will target investors falling under the BOI’s investment promotion, expanding later to include other visa types. This strategic move is anticipated to garner positive responses from the international community. For the “90 days online notification,” there are three reporting channels: 1) reporting in person, 2) designating a representative, and 3) sending the notification form to the Immigration Bureau via registered mail. This project represents a new dimension in providing services through the online system of the Immigration Bureau. Additionally, the Immigration Bureau offers an e-Extension service, allowing foreigners to apply for a visa extension online. Applicants can fill out the required information at any time, submit it online, meet with an officer to confirm their identity, and receive a visa sticker in less than 5 minutes. This aims to enhance efficiency and convenience for foreign visitors. The Immigration Bureau anticipates that these service enhancements will stimulate the economy and promote tourism by attracting a significant number of foreign tourists and investors to the country.1 point

I like this thread, it covers what's on my mind at the moment. I'm taking early retirement this February and I'm thinking a lot about what to do next. I don't think I could be in Jomtien for more than a few weeks. I'm an engineer and I also have a part-time mandate that I can do remotely. Nevertheless, I am relatively sure that I will get bored over time. I would probably become lethargic and an alcoholic over time. Even having fun with boys would probably get boring 🙂 . I will probably do it in such a way that I will escape the beautiful but cold Switzerland for about 3 - 4 months, travel around Thailand a bit and then stay in a rather quiet place like Hua Hin. Of course with a detour to BKK and Pattaya from time to time🙂 In two days in Jomtien... I'm looking forward to it1 point

I've had a few instances where this happened. I think I can safely say, nothing extra will happen without a discussion of a tip. I used to go to the Ambassador Hotel for legit massage with extra. Only the very first time I went there, I got extra and there was no mention of a tip (from a beautiful muscle guy). After that, every time I went, I'd get a wonderful oil massage with lots of teasing that got me to the point where I could no longer take it, and he'd then lean over and ask me if I was going to tip him and we'd negotiate the price. It has happened in other "legit" venues as well. A tip was always negotiated before they brought me to my grand finale. I'm going back 20-30 years here. On my last trip, every place I visited told you up front what the minimum tip was.1 point

I think a new reason not to live in Thailand more than 6 months out of the year is the change in tax policy, which makes foreigners liable to pay tax on foreign sourced income brought into Thailand. First-timer: confused about how massages work
silverwolf76 reacted to macaroni21 for a topic
@newtobangkok123 in Thailand's massage parlours, whether it's a place primarily for legit massages or one primarily for erotic massages, the client makes two payments. The first is to the shop. The amount will be based on the their price list depending on the service you choose. You know that already. Some shops require you to pay before the session begins, other shops are happy to take payment (for the shop) after the session. The second payment is directly from you to the service provider. It is always made AFTER the session. Your chief question is how to know how much. First of all, not all massage places publish minimum tips. Some do, some don't. Legit massage places almost never publish minimum tips. Erotic massage places mostly do nowadays, or if they do not publish them publicly, the receptionist will whisper to you as you pay the shop's fee. Or, there will be something stated as a footnote on the menu card. Just be alert and pay attention. The rule of thumb is that any place with a stated minimum, however stated - whether publicly published, whispered or footnoted - you can assume to be an erotic massage place where the service provider expects that you would want a happy ending, or at least to get hard. So, to your question: Once I know the minimum tip, does this tip include the happy ending? the answer is Yes. Also, even if you decline the offer of a happy ending during the session, the minimum applies. That's simple enough However, regular visitors to massage parlours do not always pay just the minimum. The "how much" gets trickier. If it's a handjob, something like the minimum, plus a bit more (20%?) if you're orgasmically over the moon, will be fine. But if it was mediocre, just pay the minimum. More often than not, there is no discussion about handjobs; the service provider proceeds towards it, and you have to stop him if you do not want the session to go in that direction. If you're into plugging holes, you will probably be having a brief discussion in the room regarding who does what to whose hole, and in the course of that discussion, the service provider may mention a figure perhaps 25-50% higher than the previously stated minimum. Naturally, if you agree, that's the new minimum for your session. (If he quotes a new figure that is 75 - 100% above the pre-session minimum, I am likely to turn it down, as such a high mark-up probably indicates an unwillingness to go that route.) Whatever you've agreed, you can tip another 20-30% more above that new minimum if you're intoxicated with delight from his services (but they don't expect that). If for some reason, there is no discussion about any new minimum, then if he bottoms, you can still use the above percentages as a guide, i.e. anything from 25 - 50% above the minimum that was stated pre-session. If he tops. I think the pre-session minimum is still the reference level (but this is not an area I am familiar with). If it's a legit massage, my practice is to think in terms of maximum tip and then discount from there. If it was an excellent legit massage, I would apply the maximum, which would be an amount for the service provider that is the same quantum as what the shop charged for the session. However, if it was legit, but substandard, then I start discounting from the maximum. Example: I book a legit massage for 700 baht. If the guy delivers a very good massage, he gets 700 too. If not so good, then 600, or 500 and so on. What happens if, in what looks like a legit place, the service provider also delivers a handjob in the privacy of the room? If there was a discussion in the room, then all's clear. If no discussion, then I tend to tip some kind of industry average for handjob, which, in Bangkok (since you asked about Bangkok), may be in the 1000 - 1200 range. As with all conversations about appropriate tips, this post is going to get wild reactions from other members of the board. Some will say my ranges are too high and I am spoiling the market. More likely, others will pick up a megaphone and decry what a cheapskate I am. Without knowing who I am or which country I come from, they will say that (a) I come from a rich country, (b) I am perforce rich, and (c) I am a disgrace to humanity for failing to throw money around like Mansa Musa on his pilgrimage to Mecca. All I can say is that my rules of thumb have worked for the hundreds of massages I have had over decades, and no service provider has said - not to my face at least - I tip too little. I simply don't believe in bragging about my wealth (if any) by showing off. I was raised by parents who taught me that showing off is very crass.1 point -

I clicked the link in the OP post. I tried to watch it, mainly to see how old it is, but I get a message saying "Video Unavailable. This video is private"1 point

Copy of my note to our moderator(s)
Marc in Calif reacted to Latbear4blk for a topic
I am José Soplanucas in Company Of Men. I used to be latbear4blk, but after the antiracist rise, I no longer find that nickname appropriate. CoM opened the table to change our noms de plume, and I took the offer. I did it openly and without intending to create a new persona. Everyone who is paying attention knows who I am in both forums. For instance, all my years of posting in CoM are now under my new name, and there is a clear and transparent continuity. I also requested the change in my alias here, but @TotallyOz informed me it was impossible. I would have to create a new profile, which I don't want. I remember the conversation you are referencing. I have told you directly; I often find your writing difficult to understand. I told you so at least a couple of times, and at least once, you did not like my comment. I had no hostile intention; I was sharing my difficulty. I found a poster in CoM that reminded me of your writing style, so I asked him whether or not he was you. No second intentions, but a simple and direct question, as you can see in the screenshot you shared. If you have anything to ask, you can ask me here. I do not bitch through PMs like the posters you are mentioning. What I say, I say it publically and take ownership of my words.1 point -
Where to get a good massage in Marrakesh
AsianExplorer reacted to floridarob for a topic
I remember going where they were selling massage oils, a big place. A handsome guy (25ish) , obviously working on commision really worked it. I told him I don't have anyone to give me a massage. A twinkle in his eyes told me he'd do it. we exchanged info and he came over that night, was a very good night with an awesome massage and a great fuck.1 point
