First-timer: confused about how massages work
kachun214 and 3 others reacted to bkkmfj2648 for a topic
Dear newtobangkok123, I just returned from a 17 day trip to the deep south of Thailand (Songkhla and Phatthalung provinces) and the terminology that many of the guys that I met in Twitter and Hornet used the following terminology to identify the expected services: Outside = soft - handjob and happy ending. Outside can also include oral sex. --> what I learned is that "Outside" is anything that is not about anal sex penetration Pricing for Outside activities was between 500 baht to 1.000 baht - with the majority at the 1.000 baht range. Inside = anal sex penetration - the masseur will identify if he is Active (Top - Man), Versatile, or Passive (Bottom). Pricing for Inside activities I was quoted in the 1.500 to 2.000 price range. The above pricing schedule was quoted to me by guys from Songkhla, Hat Yai, and Yala for both Thai Buddhist guys and as well as Thai Muslim guys. I did not meet or visit any of the massage shops - there are 3 in Hat Yai. All of my connections were made using Twitter and Hornet.4 points -
Just approach them. Once they realise you're a customer a few of them will smile. Always pick one of those smiling, chances are you'll have a better time.4 points

Not a report...just wanna rant Firstly, I was totally bored 🥱. I have never been to a show where my instinct was just to run. There were about 10-13 "boys" on rotation and I use the word "boys" very loosely. At least 1/4 of them are in their 30s pushing 40s... The rest were either out of shape or had huge ugly tattoos...there was only one reasonably cute guy The show started off with the usual drag performance and it only went worse from there. I was told there would be a shower show but the show was just 2 non-cuties gyrating on stage with fluorescent foams...that was still bearable since one of them had their swim trunk yanked off. But you know you hit the gay gogo nadir when the next act had 3 boys wearing monkey masks on stage dancing with jeans on...not once did they take the mask or jeans off! And why would anyone think monkeys are attractive 🙄 Next was a pole dancing performance...he tried hard but he really should take care not to injure his back at his age. But at least the pants and undies were off! We then had 3 more dancing boys wearing long pants with Christmas lights on stage. Are the boys just shy cos the pants stayed on again 😮💨 The next number had some promise when 4 boys came on stage with candles. Was it gonna be the SM show that someone raved about previously? By now I should have known that I shouldn't have my hope up. There was some dripping wax but it was by the boy on themselves 😓 At least have them dripped the wax on each other for more excitement... Same drag queen came on again... Lastly the big cock show, mostly matured except one and non cutie...at this point I was ready to run and cut my losses. I did peek abit before i went in but i thought i should give it a chance since it was new. Bar had about 8 customers when I went in but it swelled abit once the show started. But with the boys they have and their shyness in showing anything, I'm not sure how they intend to survive long. Show cost 400. I didn't bother to ask about the rest of the fees...3 points

It seems now we have passed a generation to 2024 we have more guys who do sex work part time and have other jobs ,I even noticed this more with guys in Pattaya So these guys some who are straight are not as desperate as the ones 20 years ago so they need proper remuneration Some of you complain that you weny to a Go Go bars and saw guys in their 40's dancing etc like one recent post and complaining, So my point is ,sometimes I see stingy farangs on here saying how happy they were to pay 500 baht and complaining the 20yo twink who goes to uni part time wanted 1500b in Bangkok ,how dare he ! For fxcks sake , if you want hot young guys you need to pay ,they ain't coming for little money ,stop being stingy and complaining! This is a business , everyone has their price ,even Vinapu😂 Then you wonder why there is a shortage of young twinks2 points -

I were there on Saturday 6th Jan around 7 pm. It was a quiet night anyway, quiet on the clients end. A dozen gps were present, most of which light skin colored. I had a Grindr boy right before so I was not in the crave or hiring. I went there anyway because I read in the forum that one can find really good looking European / German / Italian boys there. I had to say that I was disappointed. Coming from Europe, those were just every day boys. Boys were must more reserved in POA, as mentioned by other bloggers. If one boy is make moves on me, others would retreat and wait. Few came to me in the sitting area, most waited until I went to the sauna and came in one after another to introduce themselves and make a sell. The opening price was 150-200 but negociable to 100-150. Cock size was definitely down a grade or two from Salvador. The most hung was an Afro, about 20 cm, who seemed to be a veteran in gp saunas. He worked in Sampa and Rio, too. He claimed to be an accomplished footballer and played games in Europe. He also admitted that didn’t work out for him. I got his number and arranged a session with him the next day. But due to the classic lack of punctuality, we didn’t make it. So Brazilian… Another Italian looking guy was quiet and timid, but good looking. He gave me his number, too, on a little piece of paper, like the Afro. Seems it’s the standard practice there. But he doesn’t use WhatsApp. He did mention that I should call him, because he’s married. One hunk came in really late and remained in street clothes. I don’t know what his deal was. Boys don’t need to pay entrance there so maybe he was just dropping by the say hi to friends. The barman tried to make a sell on me, too. The show was good, and funny. The older trans had incredible energy. Again I attracted unwanted attention. She (if this pronoun is right) dedicated a song to me, a hysterical cover of ‘I'm telling you i'm not going’. But why?! I did thank her for the special treat. IMG_5103.MOV2 points -

I'd be very wary about buying second hand or "fake" branded computers if you're ever going to use it for accessing sensitive and important websites or info, like banking and other financial services. There is a strong possibility that these devices may come with spyware designed to capture your personal details and open you up to being scammed. It might be on there from the activities of the previous owner. Buy new & buy genuine would be my advice.2 points

Well said Forky. Last year I spent a few days in Jomitien (after a stay in Vietnam). On the way from the beach to the Zing Hotel, you inevitably pass Soda- and Foxy Smile Massage. Most of the people at Foxy were quite aggressive, some stood up and wanted to drag me into the establishment, whereas at Soda there was a relaxed atmosphere and people smiled at you (yes, some boy looked at their cell phones there too, but I understand that too, it's boring to sit outside all evening waiting for customers). Foxy was therefore never an issue for me... but you mileage may vary.2 points

Salvador - Non GP sauna - Clube Rio’s
scott456 and one other reacted to endlessdream for a topic
I visited Clube Rio’s on Thursday 28th Dec. 2023. It was running a pre-réveillon event. The entrance was slightly higher, 70 réais for 1 and 130 for a couple, but it included free flow selected cocktails and snacks. I arrived at around 5 pm. It was packed! I queued to pay the entrance, I change, I queued to get drinks, etc. It had 3 or 4 free cocktails at any given time, and some pães de queijo. Later at night they also offered bubbly. The place was very well run. You could see the management was doing the job right. It has showers, sauna, hammam on ground floor. A bar with big dance / sitting area, a very dark room and a cinema-like screen room on the first floor. On the second / top floor there are 7 or 8 cabines, with a tv room and a patio to chill. The ambiance was friendly, too friendly for sex actually. Most clients were there with partners or friends, so you stick out like a sore thumb being alone, and an Asian like me was of course even worse. Many friendly guys on the first floor tried to make small talks, but as I mentioned, I hate small talks. So I smiled and ‘obrigadod’. I counted over 100 guys there, most of which in the 30 to 50s. I felt maybe 10% of them were fuckable and I was really attracted to 3 of them. The first one was an Afro, with a sculpture body, quietly standing in the corridor on the second floor. It was easy to connect to him. I waked by him and he followed. I waked to a cabin and he followed. The sex was great. His cock is about 19 cm but extremely hard. He fucked me in all possible positions that a sauna cabin could accommodate and made me cum twice. When I praised his incredible body, he laughed as if saying ‘I hear this a lot’. He showed me a hidden room after the patio behind the toilet. There was a lounge bed and a small screen. A creepy looking guy was jerking off there so we ran out. Then I had my downtime. When I was ready again around 7:30 pm, I realized something horrible: most of the guys there were in their downtime, too. I guessed every good looking one had cum after I did. I tried with several but they couldn’t get hard enough. I don’t fuck half hard cocks. It’s too frustrating. So I missed the second really attractive guy. The third one was a Viking looking giant. But he was never on the top floor. He was mostly jerking off in the screen room and wandering in the dark room. I never managed to get his attention in the screen room and the dark room was really too dark. Based on the guys he jerked off with, I’m not at all his type anyway. I was thinking about leaving, and decided to do a last tour. Then another Afro grabbed me on the stairs. It was very rare to have someone so direct and agressive. He was not much a looker but he had an ion-hard cock, and he really wanted me. I let him fuck me. He was very passionate and cum quickly. Again, thanks to BTS, we Asians have an ever-expanding fan base now. lol. At that point, I was done. But I did notice that more and more guys were going to the second floor. I guess guys were ready for the second round. I was a bit pre-phased that night. All in all, it was a fun night. Clube Rio’s definitely was worth the visit. You don’t need to be a super model to have fun there. Guys are normal looking and no one discriminates. In the YouTube video I re-posted some time ago here, the Brazilian vloger said it’s the sauna with younger and better looking clients. I suppose there’s no point trying the others. But of course, if your goal is to up-sleep some muscle gods or eye candies, you’d better open your pocket in one of the GP saunas.2 points -
A smile is indeed pivotal. The smile can be read in a myriad of ways -- a) thank goodness I will get relief from my boring job, b) some much needed money might be coming my way, c) this customer seems like an honest, "jai dee" person, or d) I've learned that smiles are good for business. Of course you never quite know which of these meanings to attach to the smile, until you try. Of course one would hope it is meaning (c).2 points

Salvador - GP sauna - Sauna Fox
Xclay and one other reacted to endlessdream for a topic
I only visited once Sauna Fox during my 8-day visit in Salvador. I went there on Tuesday Jan. 2, the first opening day of 2024. In spite of being the free cabin day, it was extremely empty. I counted in totally 5 boys and around the same number of clients. It’s located in Pituba, far from any touristic areas. It’s actually closer to Shopping Bahia and Salvador shopping. The area is more higher middle class, with some bars and restaurants scattered around. I walked a bit in the yellow (commercial) area marked by google map, but was not impressed at all. It was just nothing special. It actually reminded me of certain “city centre” of smaller American cities, generic and bland. In terms of security, I didn’t feel any difference comparing to the city centre. Again, I’m not sensitive to insecurity. I got there around 6 pm. There was an old guy guarding the entrance, right after which is a small garden, serving as bar and restaurant. I later learned that you can actually pay a lower entrance fee (or maybe no fee at all) just to have a drink / food in the garden. It would have been much better as the boys come out to say hi and sit with clients in the garden anyway. On an empty day, there’s no point of entering the sauna itself unless you are having a programa. Actually on my day of visit, most clients stayed in the garden. The sauna facility is very limited, and poorly maintained. Only one shower had hot water. The free cabins are standard. I didn’t have the chance to see the wonderful suites. Most boys on that day were of sub-bar quality. The most hung had a 20 cm and seemed to be in his 40s with grey hair. He was constantly bad-mouthing the other boys. A very muscled one, in his 30s, claimed to be a personal trainer. He basically forced himself on me, massaging my shoulders then my left food. It was just too weird. And he had a quite small cock, as earlier revealed by his colleague. Another late 20s has the most balanced package, just a bit too fat to my taste. He was very insistent, too. When I told him clearly that I was not interested, he started begging for tips, or paying for this entrance of 25 réais. One very young looking twink never approached me, maybe he was a total bottom. The only one I seriously considered hiring was an Afro in his late 20s and claimed to be a dancer. He wore glasses, which gave his a more intellectual look. I actually believe that it would have been a good programa. What stopped me from hiring the last one was Grindr. During this whole trip in Salvador, I was bombed by messages. I’m a bit OCD about checking all messages and normally reply to every one, even with just ‘Not int sorry’. I feel it’s a decent thing to do. But I couldn’t in Salvador. Every morning I woke up to over 50 messages. And chatted with hundreds of guys everyday. I don’t understand how they found me. I didn’t buy any exposure and I couldn’t see many guys myself. Anyway, I decided only to reply to guys with photos and less than 35 yo. I managed so far although my battery drained on average every 3 hours. Fucking iPhone and god bless powerbanks. But It got so much worse in Pituba. Maybe because it’s more residential. I was sitting in the garden the whole time replying messages. Then a quite good looking 30 yo dentist caught my attention, and insisted on meeting me. I was following this hot Brazilian doctor on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@DrMarcoTulioCavalcanti) and the dentist looked alike and met my fantasy. I told him to come join me at the sauna, which he did. It was his first time in sauna. Lol. So my whole night was with him, and we had dinner later at Camarada Camarão in Salvador shopping, which I highly recommend. All in all, I was underwhelmed by Sauna Fox. Maybe it was a very bad day. May I held a too high expectation based on what I read in the forum. But I still feel it’s possible to have good programas there, and the garden is a decent place to hang out with friends.2 points -
You've received very sound advice above that covers everything you're likely to encounter on your trip. Macaron's is certainly the most detailed and comprehensive. You won't go wrong with his tip suggestions. The only thing that I'd add is to go in feeling comfortable and at ease. If the first thing your masseur does when he enters the room is smile and introduce himself, that's an encouraging sign. If he doesn't, don't hesitate to smile and introduce yourself and offer to shake hands. Say your name and ask him his. Most guys will have enough English for that exchange. Then allow the experience to unfold. Actually, that's the signal that your tip recommendations represent the mainstream of practice. The sign of a true consensus is when what you say fully satisfies no one on either side of the debate. 🙂2 points

How saving street dogs in Thailand helped this recovering addict save himself
Ruthrieston reacted to reader for a topic
From Canadian Broadcasting Corporation On the small Thai island of Koh Samui, Niall Harbison sets out every day to feed dozens and dozens of street dogs. Hearing the familiar sound of his moped, "they all come running out, wagging tails and they're delighted," said Harbison, author of Hope: How Street Dogs Taught Me the Meaning of Life. "They're like, 'Oh there's the little Irishman coming.'" Harbison's book details his efforts to feed, sterilize and rehome some of the 6,000 stray dogs on Koh Samui, a fraction of the estimated 1.6 million stray dogs in Thailand. Videos of the dogs he rescues from abuse and malnourishment have gained him more than a million followers online. But while he's been busily saving dogs, he says those dogs have also saved him. Harbison moved to Thailand in 2018 amid a deteriorating addiction to alcohol and prescription drugs. "There's a good chance I'd be dead, I'd say. I'm not even joking … I was addicted to Valium, and I was drinking three bottles of wine a day," he told The Current's Matt Galloway. Years before he moved to Thailand, Harbison was a private chef on the yacht of Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, serving celebrity guests like Bono. In 2009, he pivoted to media and marketing, setting up and later selling two social media companies. Beneath that success, Harbison was dealing with depression and anxiety, and using alcohol to cope. His move to Koh Samui was partly in search of a healthier life, but by the end of 2020, he landed in the ICU after a heavy binge of alcohol and prescription drugs. Harbison lay in that hospital bed over New Year's Eve, convinced he was dying as he listened to the fireworks outside. "I just said, 'God, there has to be something more to life than what I lived, there has to be something that has some meaning,'" he said. After three days in hospital, Harbison was discharged in early January 2021 to recover at home. He spent the year rebuilding his health, and thinking about what is important to him in life. While out walking one day in early 2022, he stopped to feed some dogs in the jungle. He came back the next day to feed them again — and soon it was a daily ritual, feeding more and more dogs as weeks turned into months. Continues with photos and video https://www.cbc.ca/radio/thecurrent/niall-harbison-thailand-street-dogs-1.70745261 point -

From Pattaya Mail By Jessataporn Bunnag, attorney at law Expats know, or should know, that making a Thai will is good practice and will ease your passing at any rate for those named as beneficiaries. We still see poorly drawn up wills which, for example, name two independent witnesses as beneficiaries or contain ambiguous wording or even omit the signature of the testator. Of course, the Thai court will acknowledge only a will in the Thai language, though it is common practice these days for an English translation to be included. But it is only the Thai version which can be assessed for probate. Photocopies of originals of relevant documents should be attached to the will. This may include house or condo ownership proof, the ID page of Thai bank accounts, registration papers of vehicles etc. For smaller items such as jewelry or house furniture and contents it may be useful to include a statement such “and all other items belonging to me and not mentioned above”, of course making clear who gets what. If the testator has assets in more than one country, it is highly desirable to make a separate will(s) for each jurisdiction. The executor, Thai or foreigner, must appear in person before the Thai judge assessing probate and may be asked questions about the deceased, such as the family tree. Normally in Thailand, the bulk of the assets will be inherited by next of kin or nearest and dearest. The will needs to spell out the reasoning if, for example, a son or daughter is excluded. In a recent case, a foreigner in his will did exclude his son, but attached paperwork to show that the younger man had received a large cash sum to open a business two years previously and had accepted this was his share of the inheritance. If there is still a problem, the probate judge may well invite the disputants to settle the issues but will make a unilateral decision if necessary. In serious cases, the probate will be reviewed by the appeal court (in Rayong for Pattaya area cases) and can only be referred to the supreme court in Bangkok if the appeal judges so agree. Appeals can be both expensive and time consuming, hence the all importance of writing a will in the first place which will stand close scrutiny. In summary, it’s best to remember that comprehensive and unambiguous documentation is the key to smooth passing in the world of wills.1 point

Online Provider Rates
Novarunner reacted to Canadianbtmguy for a topic
I wouldn't be so quick to assume that most of the GPs are straight though (which I would define as not interested in free sex with any other men, no matter how attractive and no matter the situation) Certainly a large contingent (and I think the advent of Viagra was useful to bump up the percentage) but my experiences don't lead me to estimate half. Among the "pure dick plays", those with a huge dick and little else, yes, I could see over 50%. But not the others. I would say that some, indeed most, enjoy sex with men to some extent (some, not as much as with women, true). And, I would say some, even most, enjoy sex with some clients, even if only a small minority of clients. Last tuesday a remarkably hot guy came into 117 (who I trailed because I wanted to have him first...) and to my shock (and I suppose horror) went to the client lockers (ive seen GPs at Lagoa with a locker in the client room, maybe overflow??) but I confirmed he was a client with that attendant guy (who btw is so much sweeter than that cranky tip-demanding ex-GP at 202) Later, when I was waiting for a room with a guy that Ive been with a few times before, I asked him if he had seen that superhot client. He said yeah, didn't you see me go upstairs with him? ( I hadn't) He made this sort of swooning look, clearly putting him in the category of the some who enjoy it with some clients some times... (As a footnote, while I am on the topic of superhot guys one sees in the sauna but who are not available for purchase, the receptionist at 202, who I guess is the owner's son, is so dreamy...)1 point -

There has been many news articles about scams on Facebook. If you want to buy one from an ad you see on Facebook, do not send money in advance and wait for delivery. I would order from Facebook only COD. The person selling on Facebook is probably perfectly honest, but there has been enough reports to convince me not to trust paying in advance or sending a deposit. If it were me, instead of trying to find secondhand notebooks and pads on Facebook or other online sales such as Craigslist, I would check pawn shops instead. You can see what you are getting and can try it out. At least you would be going home with notebook or pad in hand and you would know where you got it from if anything goes wrong. You might also check Lazada and Shopee. You won't find secondhand, but you might find some within your price range. Lazada and Shopee are reliable and honest. I have been buying from both for years and have never been disappointed.1 point

Just to add a bit to the comprehensive reply from @macaroni21 above. Specifically with regard to legit massage place. As prime massage is the favorite place in silom for many, it is a legit place that has a minimum tips stated in their menu. It is only 100 baht tips. Thus, if u see such a low minimum tips in any massage shop, its most likely tip for just the massage and nothing more. On the other hand, for sexual massage places, like Arena for example, has indicated in their website whats their minimum tips entails, a HJ and shower with masseur at the end. Recent visit there, after my session, the manager asked me to fill in a rating slip, and one of the question is did the masseur shower with you. I agree that the tip range for services is a heated topic so im just stating the few cases where the shop actually spell out what u get for min tip. Some even spell out min tip for soft and hard. I wish more shop will do so.1 point

Yeah, I thought about TAP when I wrote it, but as Marc said they are only just decent - and Lisbon is difficult to connect from elsewhere in Europe. I try not to fly TAP, with all their delays and missed connections. Plus, I'm usually on Skyteam so AF works better for me. However, TAP indeed is a good option to fly to NE Brazil - but one should allow ample time in LIS for connections as TAP flights are routinely late by at least an hour.1 point

This should have been a memorable meal but was about the only somewhat of a letdown over a month. Yet among the most challenging to snag a table. Mind you it was early days, jet-lagged, and my body’s regular breakfast hour. Some of the textures and notes were off for me. Bland, and the beef seemed dry and flavourless. The dessert had a fermented component that I just did not take to, tasted borderline rancid. The renovation is very attractive. I emphasize that others should not go by my impression but might want to peruse food review sites prior to committal. I averaged about one “higher end” tasting-menu per week. It’s not my usual dining format and somewhat volume overload for one sitting given my usual nutrition consumption. However, no regrets about the other choices. I usually take a glass of champagne but no wine accompaniment.1 point -
Gay forums are slow

I find it hilarious that people on a forum like this try to claim the moral high ground. There isn't any. We are all in this together. (Were they piano players in a brothel in a previous life?)1 point -
SP or Rio now?

I agree completely with this scorecard based on my recent trips. Saturday and Sunday are strangely low-key at the Rio clubs. In general, SP and Lagoa are looking better, with more clients and guys. The fashion models aren't back, but the hungsters and steroid guys are. A good sequence might be Thu, Fri, Sat, and Sun in SP, then Mon, Tue, Wed in Rio, continuing through the weekend if you care to.1 point
