Hi, I spent two weeks in SR this past September. It's a bit more mellow than I remember it from pre-covid - a significant majority of my previous favourite places have not survived the pandemic. Barcode is the only happening bar - the waiters/bartenders are game, but I suppose not immediately offable Thai style. They could be available after the bar closes, or any following day through the whatsapp contact. There is another bar, called Look at Me, but its location is a bit off and it's most often empty than not. There is another bar called Rendesvouz one block from Pub Street, but it's a rip-off tourist trap place, local guys do not go there. The Hatha Khmer "massage" place did not survive covid - there's still a branch in Phnom Penh but not in SR. There is another "massage" place just beyond the night market behind the cinema - every time I dropped by over my two weeks, it was sad and empty. So no more "massage" places in SR - however in many shops around town HJs are discreetly offered as extras for extra tips. Sanmai advertises as a gay massage place - I've been once, the massage was bad, extras were nothing to write home about. I looked at their social media, there is one very cute masseur there, but I haven't seen him once over two weeks in the shop, and other guys are not my type. All Sanmai masseurs are on Grindr, so they can come to your place and it should be cheaper than to go to Sanmai. Grindr is the app to use - there are plenty of freelancing MBs there, some are straight some are gay. There are some free sex options too there. Some masseurs from "normal" massage shops are also on Grindr, so you can agree on everything and then just come to the shop and ask for a specific masseur. Men's Resort is the place I stayed - simply excellent value for money, especially if booked direct. They also have the biggest/best gay sauna in SR on premises (free for guests, $5 for non-guests) - best days (and only days to go) are Friday through Sunday, it's empty the rest of the week. I was actually surprised how busy with local gay guys it is. When I came downstairs to the pool, it didn't seem that busy, but then when you enter that dark sauna maze you suddenly understand everyone is there out of sight. I had great free sex experiences with young local muscle guys there - and I'm not the type that would usually expect free sex with that level of men, but the lust for older men is apparently real, they even came first before me usually, and then we discreetly part ways in the maze - the key for them is that nobody sees them (one hunk in late 20's was actually cheating with me on his local young bf who was lounging at the pool). That was very unexpected, to put it mildly - and made up for the lack of other options that didn't survive covid.

    Patpong last night

I paid repeated visit to Moonlight last night. Arrived at 10 pm to a almost empty bar even if it was half an hour before show. But models and floor boys soldered on regadless. By 11 filled up nicely to about half capacity. Show quite decent. There, s new model,I guess his nick is Sam or similar. Several new, floor boys, as well. Lack of crowds did not mean disaster as some high spending farang was holding court and was distributing tips by a handfull. Boy I was, sitting with and subseqently took with me to help with dishes was asked by said farang to join for round of drinks. Asked my permission and said for 15 minutes only. I agreed and it was a good move costing me nothing. After 15 minutes, and gulping 2 or 3 shoots he was clutching in his fist no less than 900. So it seems that sparse crowd doesn,t mean financial disaster. All depends. On another hand during my time there I. E. 10 to 11.45 my off was only one and I was, sitting in good position to see comings and goings through the door. Raya has breakfast again at 250 per person if not included in the rate. Buffet style and all dishes very tasty. Pleased to see that guy I remember from my first stay there good 10 years ago is still working there although I have an impression he looks like 10 years older but what do I know?

  5. From Pattaya Mail The Samae Beach Seaside viewpoint walkway on Koh Larn Island has been restored to its former glory, much to the delight of the island’s residents and tourists. The circular design of the walkway complements the landscape, creating an aesthetic that harmonizes with the natural surroundings. The walkway has been painted in shades of green, mirroring the hues of the foliage in the background.

  8. I go back 40 years, the old Copacabana Palace, and Air France , Concorde (!). It was business! Around the hotel gay area, dance bars, picked really sexy guys. Then later there was Sauna Leblon, again packed, sex on hand, you walked into the dark room and someone would just put my cock in his ass. Rooms with rows of beds with people fucking, and so on! Pre HIV. Of course I was young then, distant memories.

  9. Avoid Malaysian MH126, Perth to KL, if you have connections. The scheduled takeoff is 02.20, but the turnaround time for the A330 is just one hour! It takes 15 mins to get the pax off, let alone catering, cleaning, new crew. The day I caught it we left nearly 2 hours late, and I missed the connection to London. I was put up in a nice hotel, but still 14 hours in KL. Also the A330-200, which I was on, is old, and business class, though a flat bed, pretty uncomfortable.

  13. I can see it for the States... but as a Canadian, I just can't see Canada becoming a destination for economic or other migrants from Brazil. People from hot countries hate Canadian winters and there aren't as many economic opportunities in Canada as there are in the States. It's also more expensive to live in Canada. I won't get into the cultural differences. Even people from the UK find Canada incredibly dull. (I used the UK because I don't think they should be casting stones. It's the land of my forefathers, but I'd rather go to almost any other country in Europe). Canada eliminated visas for Mexicans years ago and I don't think it's a big problem. Some Mexicans are flying to Canada and the illegally crossing the border in the US from there. But it's nothing compared to the illegal crossings on the southern border. On the other side, I don't see any benefit to Brazil to bring back the visa requirement except for childish pride.

  14. First of all, thanks to everyone on this forum. I've been reading it for years - could it be 15? - or definitely before my first ever trip to Brazil, which was three lifetimes ago. It provided me with a lot of info and a bit of a chuckle - and I'm sorry I was on silent all that time. I almost registered when all non-members were kicked out a couple of years back, but then the gods above were merciful to allow us back for a part of it, and my laziness prevailed. Did I say again I'm sorry? - I am. It's been a hell of a time to see Brazil (and other parts of the world) changing, the same way I was changing too: I came to Rio for the first time 14-15 years ago, totally hated it (the real to USD at 1.6 at that time didn't help), then came back a couple of years later, then there was one whole winter I spent in Brazil traveling to every corner of it (locally, it was summer of course) - and the rest is history. I traveled especially often in the past 4 years throughout the pandemic - it was pretty much one of the only two countries always open (along with Mexico - but I prefer Brazil), and then there were incredibly cheap tickets, initially in 2020-2021 basically free, then just very cheap (that loophole has recently closed, but stayed open for the incredible three years). I was traveling around the world throughout the pandemic pretty much as I usually do, so it passed me by (and by some kinky luck, covid passed me too - never had it) - and I think I was back in Brazil as early as Sep 2020 I think, and then visited about twice a year. So that historic context aside (and again - thanks to everyone) - several observations on this trip. This year, I'm on a sabbatical, so traveled a bit more than usual - I think I've been to Rio four times in 2023. Good memories - first time Carnival, first time the New Year's Eve a week ago. Amazing. Brazil - and saunas - are defo different not only from what it was 10-15 years ago, but from pre-covid too. I still enjoy 117 and 202 very much - but as some others on this forum, I wonder how long they will last. It's not that apps are killing them - Onlyfans are doing that. The standard of the guys in 117 and 202 has visibly dipped - I'm still satisfied very much every evening I go there, but the standard of the guys there say in 2010s is no longer there - they are doing Onlyfans, or Rhyheim's porn, or it's easier to travel to Europe to make better money there than it was 10-15 yrs ago. A case in point, a guy I know, Henry - he started doing Onlyfans with some good success about two years ago but he was still in saunas maybe 2-3 nights a week. He's a stunner, his Onlyfans is successful, I saw him at the Rio gay pride in November as a part of the model entertainers crowd, but he's not in the saunas anymore. The best guys in 117/202 are now those who fly in from the provinces for a couple of weeks to make money - like Walton from Fortaleza, he's another stunner, and he does some stints in Rio for two-three weeks - I just saw him yesterday in Fortaleza, and he's flying back to Rio again on Weds. I also started to really really like Point. 202 seems such a warmer, more humane, better organised sauna (and aircon in suites works all the time, unlike in 117). I really like the vibe, the atmosphere, that warm feeling of a crowd near the bar - and moreover, there are some absolute gems of a guy who go to 202 only, and never to 117. I guess, Junior scouts them somehow, and even though a lot of the guys work both saunas, some 202-exclusive guys are marvels. One of my favourites in the past several visits is David (or the correct spelling he put into my phone contacts, Deyved) - just a stunning guy with an incredible smile and an incredible chemistry. He comes only to 202, and only a couple of nights a week at most, but he's one of my highlights. Stunning body, stunning technique and the attention to your needs - for a straight guy - he's also never hiked his fee to 200 as everybody else by the end of 2023 in Rio and stays at 150 (still gets more from me). He saw me at the reception when I came to 202 for the first time on this trip, hugged me, kissed me, and then said "don't come with me now, I will be for longer today, hire me towards the end of the night, and I will give you the biggest cumshot possible". And he did. With all that said, 202 is losing ground against 117 - or at least that's my impression over the past couple of years. 202 is back to their two big nights - Monday and Wednesday - but lost all other days. I still remember fabulous Fridays at Point - that was their good night too - but then two or even three times I came to Point on a Friday, and it was totally dead, like Elvis dead. Then, next Friday I came to 117 - and everyone was there, and the house was buzzing. At 117, even slow nights are acceptable, but at 202 if it's dead it's no shit dead. 117 attempted to hijack Wednesdays - it hasn't worked so far. So 202 has still solid Mondays and Wednesdays, but the rest of the week it's 117 - even though I'd have preferred it differently. Even this past week between Xmas and NY, 117 was insanely busy, on some nights the line was to the street (never seen that before), whereas 202's Mons and Weds were good and busy but not over the top busy as 117 was all that week. (Still, last Weds I was #17 in the line for the suites at Point at 8pm - so it was still a good night - however, several boys told me it had been busier before and not anymore). So why this is happening, I don't know - as I'd like 202 to thrive, as I just like them, but it's not terribly easy for them it seems. (Interesting that from next Sunday they will be open on Suns too - I'd be keen to know if they are able to break the 117's Sunday monopoly). Meio Mundo - where do I start. Unlike many posters on the forum, I actually quite liked Meio Mundo back in the day. It has this no-nonsense down-to-earth vibe that was a welcome occasional break from the 117 Men's Health posturing. Yes, it was dirty, but it was kinky dirty. During the pandemic at its new location, Meio Mundo started to drift from its previous "favela sauna" concept to the "drag queen theatre night" concept - that's where it lost the boys, and clients. Still, several of my experiences at Meio Mundo were golden. I think it was two years ago during the pandemic when I came to Meio Mundo because they were the first to start live sex shows in Rio (inbetween the long drag queen sets). It is there where I met Lucas - he was 18 at that time, stunning, with an 8-pack and a shy smile - the definition of a lanky twink top. A friend of his, a typical Meio Mundo favela-style garoto. brought Lucas with him - it was his first time in the sauna. Lucas was so obviously head and shoulders above everybody there that the Meio Mundo owner immediately brought him a free caipirinha and started to fawn over him - the guy was gold. I offered him a programa straight away, and Lucas was initially timid, still with a caipirinha in the suite, not sure what and how to do - sex was great. I was his first ever client, and I think he's likely straight, he's sort of a fixture at 117 now, and we hooked up last week, two years later, for the first time since that forst meeting - Lucas remembered our first sex, I laughed "well, you looked very different from other Meio Mundo garotos on that day", he laughed even harder saying "no doubt about that". He doesn't go to Meio Mundo anymore, and I didn't visit on any of my trips this year - their IG is all full of drag queens, no more live sex shows. But now to live sex shows. The biggest change I've seen in Rio throughout the pandemic is the explosion of Berlin-style cruising bars. Taurus Bar is just 5 min walk from 117 and is most resourceful of them all. Then there is Seven Bar, the new Cruising Parada bar, something else in Centro, something else in Botafogo, etc. They are mostly non-GP cruising bars, but what they do is they usually haul a bunch of Onlyfans models (2 on a rainy day, 5 on a good day, I've been to a night with 8 guest Onlyfans models) - they are billed as the "interactive sex show" but pretty much 15 sec after it starts it becomes very interactive, and Onlyfans models have sex with all who paid 35 or 40 or whatever reais as cover - it's a free-for-all 40-50 person orgy with a bunch of Onlyfans models in the middle (that's how Taurus Bar does it, and I see it as a valid investment of my 35-40 reais). These are still very local-geared places, and the vibe is VERY different from the GP saunas, but more of these places open, and it's quite an experience. I'm in Fortaleza now where such bars equally exploded - there are several of them - and they are all strictly non-GP, just a general orgy. As other saunas across Brazil, California is struggling to keep pace with Onlyfans, apps, etc. - it is still a very fine sauna, and I had lots of sex in the past few days, but as in Rio and SP, the top-tier gobsmacking talent is no longer there. Still, some amazing guys - humble, polite, good in sex, but the Greek gods are gone. There was a good guy from Fortaleza, Wesley, whom I met at 117 after Christmas - I told him I would be coming to Fortaleza and he said let's keep the line open privately, as he said he's not working in saunas back home in Fortaleza - he says he does underwear modeling on IG (whatever that means) but saunas are no-no. I could have easily seen someone like him at California say 7-8 years ago - but that's basically a trend. Onlyfans, IG and private appointments over whatsapp. California in Fortaleza still the only GP sauna. I've been to Dragon Club several times this year - easily the best-equipped sauna in all of Brazil, but usually just a couple of GPs, and mostly the jaded ones. They have some interesting events - I've been to their Mr Dragon competition where incredibly beautiful guys where on stage, but they did not mingle or even stay after the competition and the house emptied out. This weekend, I've been to a free food slash dance party at Dragon starting at 1400 (!) on Sunday - they had free feijoada and caipirinha till 1600, and then some professional Axe dancing for two hours from 1400 till 1600. I arrived at 1530, and Dragon was full of people, munching and drinking. The (professional straight) dancers were really great but were visibly not too comfortable performing in a gay sauna for towel-clad people - some 80mins into their performance they were pressured to lose T-shirts, and they were visibly uncomfortable with one dancer mouthing "no" - they did lose T-shirts for one song and promptly put it back right for the next number. There were maybe three, max four jaded GPs in this packed house - but I quickly left for California where a couple of those Dragon GPs ended up too afterwards. My only guess why this is not happening for Dragon - high entry fee for garotos? I'm going to Recife next where there were two very OK saunas - not GP-focused but where I still found some incredible freelancing GPs in the past couple of years, so I look forward to checking them out again.

    Koh Chang

I have just returned home from a one month vacation in Thailand. I decided this time to plan a side trip to Koh Chang. Here is a brief report of my recent adventure. After spending a week in Bangkok, I stayed in Pattaya for ten days, so I was ready to hit the road for a break. In Pattaya I rented a car for the trip to Koh Chang. I have rented vehicles many times in Thailand, because I like the freedom driving a car gives me. I took a boy from a Pattaya bar with me, he was eager to travel with me. It was a good break for him to get away from the bar for a few days, while still making a guaranteed long time tip each day. I have always paid any boy traveling with me the going rate for long time tip daily, and of course I paid for all expenses. I always let them know if they want free time away from me, they can have it, but I have found they usually want to stick with me every day. When I ask them what they would like to do, the usual response is the ubiquitous "up to you". Believe me, if you have planned something a boy thinks is boring, or not fun for them, they won't be shy to tell you. Total travel time from Pattaya to Koh Chang was about 6 hours, including the ferry ride. The first part of the trip was from Pattaya to Laem Gnop in Trat province, that's where the ferries depart for Koh Chang. The drive was about 4.5 hours, very enjoyable, going through Sattahip, Rayong, and Chantaburi. As you can see in this photo, Koh Chang is very close to the Cambodian border. Because Koh Chang is a very large island, I wanted to take the rental car on the ferry to use to get around and explore the island. The ferries run frequently. Tickets are 80 baht for each passenger, and 120 baht to take a car. The ride takes about 40 minutes. After driving aboard, all passengers go up to the second deck lounge for the transit to the island. There are snacks and drinks available on the second deck from a small store and a coffee stand. I had made a reservation for Seabreeze Bungalows in Kai Bae Beach for five nights. I chose the deluxe bungalow, and it was 1,850 baht per night, including all taxes and fees. Not a bad deal for a good room on an island in January during high season. This price was locked in long before the current coronavirus was news. Upon landing on Koh Chang, it took about 20 minutes to reach the bungalow, driving south along several beaches on the way. The further south from the ferry pier, the more rustic the small villages along the beaches are. White Sands Beach is the first beach coming from the ferry. It is the largest beach, and the most developed on the island, something I wanted to avoid. After leaving White Sands Beach, the road begins to narrow, and the atmosphere becomes much more tranquil, with less development, and fewer people. I decided since Kai Bae Beach was located in between White Sands beach and Lonely Beach, it would be a good location to stay. Lonely Beach is the most popular beach with backpackers, and is known for very loud parties every night at different bars that go till dawn. Kai Bae turned out to be a good choice, a very relaxed area, but with a good assortment of small restaurants and bars. There was a Filipino band that played every night at the open air bar and restaurant at the Seabreeze Bungalows where we stayed. This is the bungalow where we stayed. This is the main road running through Kai Bae Beach. If you travel without a car, there are songtaews, making it very easy to get around the island. They charge a fixed rate based on how many beaches you pass. The songtaews meet the ferries, and they strap any large bags on the roof for transport to your hotel. One day we rented kayaks, and paddled about 20 minutes to an uninhabited island offshore from Kai Bae beach. When I first mentioned this, the boy I was with thought that sounded like fun. It included getting up early to rent the kayaks and be on the water by 9 am. I have heard many people say that it's impossible to drag a bar boy out of bed early, but if there's something they want to do, they'll make sure to be ready. There are several waterfalls, and we had planned to hike up to one, but figured since it is dry season with little rain that there wouldn't be anything to see. Each day we went to a different part of the island to explore using the rental car. One day I bought us masks and snorkels. The boy I was with said he liked snorkeling, as he had never done it before. He told me afterwards it was good, but he didn't get to see any fish. There are a few 7-Eleven stores on the island, and a small Big C, and a small Makro. Another reason I chose the Seabreeze Bungalows is it was only a short walk to a 7-Eleven store, very convenient to buy snacks and drinks. Most motorbikes buy their gasoline from stands selling it in used liquor bottles as you still see in some areas of rural Thailand and other parts of Southeast Asia. There are many small restaurants, and unlike Phuket, the prices for food were reasonable, about the same as on the mainland. The air quality on the island was great until late every night when a local resident decided it was a good idea to set large piles of leaves on fire, letting them smolder all night. There was an elephant camp just steps from the bungalows, and every afternoon, the mahouts would take the juvenile elephants down to Kai Bae Beach to swim and allow tourists to swim with them and take photos. The salt water didn't bother the elephants, as they were having fun spraying the tourists with water from their trunks. Koh Chang was a good break after being in Bangkok and Pattaya. Five days was a good getaway. It's a place I had wanted to see for some time. It's well worth the taking the time to travel there.

    Four o/clock closures.

For some the demand has exited. Sleep is accessed well. No need for nodding off reading. If struck with insomnia I can request the endless ledger depicting his strangely conceived check marks about who has actually been where they say they were.

  18. There are a few common application errors made by minimally one-third, likely more, of applicants thus far that have stalled reinstated Brazil e-visa adjudication. Unlike some of the content here, tangential to the agenda of getting the task done, it is not mere speculation They are mostly due to lack of logic on the part of applicants and the recent document requirement revision has not reconciled these oversights. The key is to put oneself in the shoes of adjudicators assessing coherence between the regulations and how applicants organize the ask, that is, data format. Technically, there are some data components that are not required but folks are bitching about, as well as some essential components that some folks fail to think through. Some of these are alluded to in social media and one way to determine these ubiquitous mishaps is by contacting the data interface contractor and going over your data prior to formal application. Better yet, inquire about the predominance of failed input. The call centres are back up and running with often a CSR available within seconds. That said, you will obtain the needed advice if you know what questions to ask. No entity whatsoever has delineated the small-ish complete list of common mistakes, save for an American travel blogger that has come close with a 60-page document, bless him. It’s a lot easier to get it right from the get go than struggle with delays wherein one has to rely on consular staff to relay to the contractor exactly what is wrong, then to the applicant, etc, the triangulated process making clear communication complicated. Whining about the hassle will only shut down that part of the brain charged with concrete problem-solving.

  19. From Yahoo News errifying video footage has captured the moment two American women were threatened by a knife-wielding taxi driver over the cost of a ride in Bali, while it’s been reported the cabbie has since been caught trying to flee the country. The frightening three-minute clip taken by one of the tourists begins with the pair begging to be let out of the taxi and asking to go to the police while travelling through Kuta, a beach and resort area in Bali’s south. While they offer the driver 50,000 in Indonesian Rupiah (AUD $4.80) for the fare, he insists on USD50 (A$74). When we (from the USA) previously had to obtain the 5-year visa to visit Brazil it was a minor hassle, but I don't think the requirement deterred anyone from the various gay forums or gay community from visiting. Over the years, I've had to obtain tourist visas in advance to visit some countries in addition to Brazil; includeig the USSR and China. I'd like to re-visit both, one day. Spontaneously deciding to travel to where the in-advance visas are required is an option that'll disappear for some who are newbies to the process. For me, someone who typically has a 10-day trip length timeframe, r/t airfares this USA Winter to Rio from where I fly out of are approx. $1,800 - too high for me to justify when added to other travel costs.

There is a place one block off Pub St called Home Cocktail - it's sort of an unofficial gay dining lounge (or rather, canteen:) Later in the evening you would spot gay tables - either couples or even gay groups, and some discreet cruising may happen too. They have an OK local food and incredible drink prices (which is why it's popular with local guys) - beer is 50 cent, and any cocktail (like Margarita) is $1.50. Don't remember whether G&T is a dollar, or $1.50 too.

I know what you mean, the Meridien Bangkok is like that. But because of the key card elevator, you have to go downstairs. Viroth's is low rise, no elevator. Because it's small, you can't bypass reception, but since the staff are very relaxed, hotel is gay owned, it's fine. Sometimes they bring the boy up, which can be difficult if you have disrobed in anticipation!

  24. From The Star PHNOM PENH: The under-construction Techo International Airport (TIA), Cambodia’s largest once completed, is among the most important public infrastructures, reflecting its status as a gateway to the capital and its crucial role in the global economy, according to the heads of Foster + Partners, the firm that designed the facility. It said the project represents a new vision for Phnom Penh, with a design that draws inspiration from the country’s ancient civilisation, its traditional forms and the tropical climate. It added that construction of the airport, located about 20km south of the city centre, is progressing swiftly. The firm’s master plan for the hub includes a state-of-the-art terminal at the heart of a new airport city. It aims to provide the highest levels of passenger experience and set new standards for sustainability. Stefan Behling, head of studio at Foster, commented on the airport’s importance as a symbolic gateway and its role in the globalised economy. “The new airport will be an important part of Phnom Penh’s development as the nation’s primary inter-regional, inter-modal transport hub,” he said. According to the company, the terminal building features a central head the nation’s primary inter-regional, inter-modal transport hub,” he said. “The roof – supported by structural trees spanning 36m– is a lightweight steel grid shell, with an innovative screen that filters daylight and illuminates the vast terminal space. "Designed to be highly legible at a human scale, there are minimal level changes throughout the terminal and views out to the apron to improve clarity and make movement intuitive. Interior materials are warm and welcoming, evoking the Cambodian vernacular in a contemporary manner,” it stated. Nikolai Malsch, senior partner at Foster, emphasised the airport’s symbolic significance. “If nothing changes, the project will be completed by the end of 2024. We expect the airport to open in the first half of 2025, following pilot testing and certification for flight,” he stated.

Shirt comment on Viroth's hotel. In my view a great hotel. Central, small, but big saltwater pool. High class with 50s vibe. They are relaxed about visitors, they ask for their id card, but then they just let up to your room. A nice touch, after the boy leaves, they ring to make sure all is well. That's what I call service!

  33. OK Yes, you pay an entry fee to the club, no other fees to the dancers unless you want to voluntarily tip them, but most customers don't. It's up to the dancer, he may skip you, play with you less, or play with you more. Some dancers just stand there for anyone to touch them and/or suck their cocks. Actually, the play positions are quite limited, mostly standing up, sometime sitting down, because there is no mattress like in a sauna room. In any case, the dancers will not just play with you, they are there to be shared. So, don't expect much one-on-one play. And, these dancers are usually much lower quality than sauna GPs because they are not able to earn sauna price, that's why they are there. This is geared towards the lower end of audience in the market as well. The cost to the customer is less than 1/3 of one sauna programma, so you know why.

    Four o/clock closures.

Yes that was the sensible way. No one ever suggested that it would be compulsory. The bars should have the right to close when it is sensible for their customer presence.

    Scene in Fortaleza?

lol, in the sauna "sexy" usually means "has some money". There may be quite some reason in what you are saying - but local patrons (and I was the only foreigner in the sauna over any of the past 4 nights) were also hiring very actively. For a couple of hours, there was a constant line for suites 2-3-deep (on Monday!) - California has 4 suite rooms, but if I understand correctly, a maximum of two are operational on any given night (sometimes one) - so I saw those who didn't want to wait going to the Thermas-style free cabins in the back. Over the weekend, I met this great darker indigenous guy with amazing physique (his name was complicated, so can't recall it now) - and he's in such demand that one needs to grab him if he passes by. I couldn't grab him last night on Monday as he was constantly with clients in suites and in cabins - he surely had no fewer than three clients last night, maybe four (and showed me his tongue laughing while rushing to another programa) - so all in all, California was busy without me on Monday, which was a major surprise. And it's such a contrast with Rio or SP - the guys are warmer, they generally care about you very much, and the universal going rate, including any "stars" is 100. Adding to that that the entrance is 30, suites are 20 I think (plus free cabins), caipirinhas are like 8 reais or something, large 600ml beers are at 11 - so the night at California in Fortaleza will be less than half price of any night in Rio or SP saunas. (Same goes to Recife or Sao Luis where they actually have quite an agreeable, busy and sexy GP sauna that I really liked in my two visits to Sao Luis which is actually a lively city). As the topic is the scene in Fortaleza - another really interesting tidbit. If you care about the beach, the city's excellent Praia do Futuro beach has a great beach club, Orbita Blue. It's such a stark contrast with any Rio barracas - it's actually a beach club, with proper chez lounges, Western lounge music from quality speakers all around, Hawaii-style wooden bar in the middle, lots of security, great attractive staff. As a result, this is a beach club to go to for the local young Instagram crowd in their 20s and 30s. It is sorta upscale by Fortaleza standards, but still dirt cheap (the cover is 10 reals including chez lounges, umbrellas and full service, coconuts are 6 reais). It has quite a gay presence, but it's not a gay/mixed club, rather very open and gay-friendly. It has several freelance drink stands on the side that serve caipirinhas to the crowd - one of them, from what I could tell, is run by an older woman called Roberta who sort of organized a co-operative of local gay favela boys - they have bright rainbow T-shirts and run across the beach club offering caipirinhas. When I was there in September, this operation was super-gay, it was more mixed this time around, but rainbow shirts and some gay favela guys still there. One of them is quite something - and a star. He's what you would call a flaming fem twink and he's the only one who does not wear a rainbow T-shirt - because he comes to his work on the beach with a full wardrobe of trendy women's beach clothes - in a true Beyonce fashion, he does 4 or 5 outfit changes throughout the day: bright dresses, skirts, pareos, bras, women's bodysuits, the combination of any above. I saw him earlier today and he had 3 outfit changes in the first hour I was there. If you order a caipirinha he may twerk into your face, or let you slap his butt, he's putting quite a performance running around and is the spearhead of that gay favela operation. He's truly loved by the crowd and very popular - this time he grew mustache and goatee, dyed them blond, kept his hair dark - and this mustachioed flaming queen of the beach in all his dresses and bras is one of the highlights of the Fortaleza scene lol

  37. Depends a lot if you want free Grindr boys or GPs. In terms of free boys, Colombia offers more diversity and many Venezuelans are available too. Don’t even both with free Dominicans, as most grindr-like apps are location based, those who live in affluent neighborhoods (ex close to blue mall) are all fat and old. If you choose to pay, then again, Colombia offers more diversity but GPs in DR are better endowed.

I wouldn't mind tipping a handsome boy just for being handsome especially if he has a cute smile and dimples 😍 But nuisance mamasans are the worst. Had a bad experience with one who kept pestering me with a boy who totally isn't my type, I politely declined them but it got so bad I left the show early. They then had the temerity to demand a tip for both of them...I refused and never been back there since.

  42. From Thai PBS World A Myanmar rebel alliance group has gained control of a key town along the country’s volatile northern border with China after weeks of fierce fighting with junta troops, it said in a statement late on Friday. The “Three Brotherhood Alliance”, as the group is known, said it took over Laukkai town after the military’s regional headquarters located there surrendered. The fall of Laukkai is the latest victory in a sweeping offensive by an alliance of rebel groups that began in October and has become the most significant threat to Myanmar’s military government since it seized power in a 2021 coup. “All Kokang (Laukkai) region has become a land with no Myanmar Military Council anymore,” the statement said. A junta spokesman did not respond to calls from Reuters seeking comment. The alliance comprises three groups with extensive fighting experience – the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), and the Arakan Army (AA). They were accompanied by individuals from the loosely organised People’s Defence Force, supported by Myanmar’s parallel National Unity Government (NUG), suggesting that the rebellion is taking on an increased level of coordination and planning. The capital of Myanmar’s restive Kokang region, Laukkai has a reputation as a gambling den and a hub for online scam operations. China, a key junta ally that also has close relations with some ethnic Chinese militias along the frontier, has grown increasingly frustrated in recent months by the Myanmar’s junta lack of action on closing down the scam centres. by Reuters

Was there the end of last Sept...MUCH smaller place, no large pizzas....I forget the owner's name, but she remembered @vinapu also said she appreciates that we talk and promote her place, I just told her a bunch of farangs, didn't mention we were all whores, but she probably already knows since it was Vinapu we were talking about 😝 She can do more dishes if you call ahead and let her know you are coming, I think she was talking about Thai dishes.

  44. This should have been a memorable meal but was about the only somewhat of a letdown over a month. Yet among the most challenging to snag a table. Mind you it was early days, jet-lagged, and my body’s regular breakfast hour. Some of the textures and notes were off for me. Bland, and the beef seemed dry and flavourless. The dessert had a fermented component that I just did not take to, tasted borderline rancid. The renovation is very attractive. I emphasize that others should not go by my impression but might want to peruse food review sites prior to committal. I averaged about one “higher end” tasting-menu per week. It’s not my usual dining format and somewhat volume overload for one sitting given my usual nutrition consumption. However, no regrets about the other choices. I usually take a glass of champagne but no wine accompaniment.

  45. There was one year when I happened to visit the city during one of these big events. The vast majority of the visitors at the event were Thais. I reckon they were either living in the Chonburi area or from Bangkok. I can't imagine them needing to spend an average of 8,333 baht per head. Even if that figure included hotel costs for 1 or 2 nights, they are almost all family groups, and so would have shared rooms.

  47. I'm glad you appreciate the map that I have drawn, and yours is a good question that gives me a chance to explain the editorial policy behind the blog and its contents. To answer your specific question first, about the others that are left out ..... I have read about 27M massage near Inthamara 27, Home Massage about 100 metres short of the Vibhavadi Rangsit expressway, and 15M massage a bit NW of Exit 3 of Saphan Khwai. But (a) they are outside the boundaries of my map; (b) I have not verified their locations personally. My general policy for my blog is that what I say is based on personal observation and verification. It is not supposed to be a compendium of the many different things said by others. In the occasional post, I may refer to something reported by others. When that happens, I make that abundantly clear in the text. For maps, if I haven't verified its existance, it is not there. You will notice that I try to take a picture of a shop's front, as sort of proof it is real and that I saw it for myself. The drawback of such a policy is that the blog and its maps may omit places that I don't know about or haven't verified (it becomes under-inclusive). The upside is that I do not risk including things based on hearsay, e.g. resulting in the location marked wrongly. Of course, it would be great if others likewise build their own maps.

  48. I arrived in Manilla 4 pm tuesday 12/27, met by my Filipino internet "BF" from Isabela province and a Manilla friend. ( a straight friend suggested flying into Clark (CLK )- Angeles city but there is only flights from Singapore). very fast thru immigration and no customs.... Trying to get to hotel was problem. First timers pre arrange something with your hotel. wait for taxis over an hour, found a tout, walked across street to get a "taxis" 500 peso to tout, 500 to taxis. He had a hard time finding the holiday Inn in Makita (the nicest section of Manilla) Traffic is Bangkok epic. Taxis are negotiated fare, compare with Grab fees, usually cheaper. Used 2 free days at this hotel, then 2 days Sheraton Manilla bay, then dropped to pay hotel U-hotel Makita (2000P/) until January 2nd then private car (3200p each) van to Cauayan City (small city in isabela). now stuck in hotels, raining every day. nothing to do but sex, food, drink. fortunately, there seems no way to make my BF hard on go soft. Day 2 Isabela Rented a really cute 20 yro straight boy for more fun (1000p) - said he did everything (not!) he is virgin to bottom sex, beautiful twink man.... great kisser, very shy, not really getting hard even under oral action. translation difficult (not educated, weak english) penis is sore.... why... translated by BF, Diagnosis by dad. he has chlamydia. .... wish I knew that before I sucked him. Hope the my Bacterial Prep works.... it should. Dad likes to think he is a doctor. prescribed 200 mg Doxycycline followed by 100 mg twice a day for 7 days, gave him pills from my 180 pill bottle. that ended our sex session before I took his ass virginity. (I hate virgins, too old to weak to be patient, and don't know how to be cruel). so we went drinking, eating karaoke instead. Straingt Virgin slept with us naked, 3 to double bed, cuddling. both Filipinos under the blanket, me naked on top AC on. (gave him his 1000p along with a bit of coaching on STDs, girl sluts, a promise to take all the pills even if feel better, a promise to tell the girl he got the std from... ass virginity intact) Talked to him late the next day. penis feels better already. "can I come again with you? " Food and drinking? or sex? "Both" can I fuck you "yes dad"....... lies so easily..... answer- Maybe. 24yro virgin BF now taking my cock without issue every morning. I fuck him, he fucks me. BB. moved to new hotel. rental car is falling thru. maybe buy a motorbike (900+$)..... but it is raining everyday. drinking is in order. no exercise except walking. fortunately food is so-so, so not eating much..... plus need to keep my hole clean. boy likes to fuck me twice a day or more.... I haven't been on grindr and 2 other men from Grindr (now whatsapp) complaining I promised them sex before coming and have put out.... so many men, so little time! I wrote this drinking so some issues. hope you are not offended. added Cauayan traffic....
