I'm glad you appreciate the map that I have drawn, and yours is a good question that gives me a chance to explain the editorial policy behind the blog and its contents. To answer your specific question first, about the others that are left out ..... I have read about 27M massage near Inthamara 27, Home Massage about 100 metres short of the Vibhavadi Rangsit expressway, and 15M massage a bit NW of Exit 3 of Saphan Khwai. But (a) they are outside the boundaries of my map; (b) I have not verified their locations personally. My general policy for my blog is that what I say is based on personal observation and verification. It is not supposed to be a compendium of the many different things said by others. In the occasional post, I may refer to something reported by others. When that happens, I make that abundantly clear in the text. For maps, if I haven't verified its existance, it is not there. You will notice that I try to take a picture of a shop's front, as sort of proof it is real and that I saw it for myself. The drawback of such a policy is that the blog and its maps may omit places that I don't know about or haven't verified (it becomes under-inclusive). The upside is that I do not risk including things based on hearsay, e.g. resulting in the location marked wrongly. Of course, it would be great if others likewise build their own maps.5 points -
From The Phnom Penh Post The recent New Year’s Eve celebrations saw record numbers of visitors to some of the Kingdom’s most popular tourist destinations, except Siem Reap province, which experienced a 10 per cent decline on the 2022-23 event. Kampot province greeted the most guests, with the provincial tourism department reporting that nearly 390,000 arrivals opted to welcome the New Year there. In second place was Preah Sihanouk province, with 349,000 tourists recorded. It was followed by Siem Reap, with 304,064 guests enjoying the countdown in the province, home to the Kingdom’s renowned Angkor Archaeological Park. The Battambang Department of Tourism reported around 263,000 guests, with Kampong Cham logging about 120,000 and Kep’s seaside location drawing slightly over 100,000 visitors. Each of the departments confirmed that the figures included both domestic and international tourists. Kampot Provincial Tourism Department director Soy Sinol said on January 1 that the province had recorded 386,488 tourists, including about 1,500 international guests. Visiting residents of the province were not included in the figure, he noted. “The reason we welcomed so many guests may be due to our proximity to Phnom Penh, as well as the fact that we have so many recreational facilities here. The provincial authorities did an outstanding job of preparing the necessary infrastructure this year. Many, many domestic and international tourists gathered along the riverside in Kampot town for the celebrations,” he added.4 points

The outcome is testament to the cabin crew in getting all 357 aboard the A350 out of the aircraft. It reflects much credit on the carrier, the training the crew received and the behavior of the passengers. Anything less could have resulted an unthinkable tragedy. 300,000 visitors spend 2.5 billion baht
Phoenixblue and 2 others reacted to reader for a topic
From Pattaya Mail Pattaya and Koh Larn Island, two of the most popular tourist destinations in Thailand, welcomed the New Year with a grand celebration that attracted over 300,000 visitors and generated more than 2.5 billion baht in economic circulation. The event, dubbed “Pattaya Countdown 2024”, was a joint effort between the city of Pattaya and the Provincial Administration Organization of Chonburi, with support from the public and private sectors. The event, which ran from December 29 to 31, featured a variety of activities and attractions for both Thai and international tourists, such as concerts, fireworks, food stalls, and light shows. The event was held for the first time on Pattaya Beach, under the theme “The Fantastic Beach”, to showcase the beauty and charm of the seaside city. The event also included free trade spaces for local vendors, who were able to sell their products and services to the visitors, creating an additional income source and stimulating the local economy. The event was a resounding success, with accommodation bookings in Pattaya exceeding 90% of available rooms, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand. The event also drew huge crowds to the beachfront, where a spectacular fireworks display lit up the sky on the final night. A photo taken from a hotel showed a kilometre-long stretch of people enjoying the music, the views, and the food on the beach road.3 points -
No, I said "tops and bottoms". You said "top and bottom." I can see how you got confused. I agree, however, that "versatile" would be a perfectly acceptable alternative. While you're in town you may want to mention it to managers in the SK shops. Or maybe get them to consider what mamasans in the go-go bars prefer: "does everything." 🙂3 points

Chiang Mai had bus service with several routes for a few years prior to Covid, but I'm not sure exactly when it started. I agree the airport bus route is a compromise between the needs of the locals & the needs of the tourists so it doesn't fully satisfy anyone. The airport taxi is only 150 THB which I don't mind paying at all!3 points

Just brief comments on my experience in first 24 hours. I had long flight yesterday, so lazy, got as far as G's for a meal, good as ever, brief stop at Banana Bar, and then accepted Grindr booking at hotel. Incidentally, no problem with Hotel, Le Meredien, indeed most of the guests are male couples! Boy was Vietnamese, reasonable English, great body, kissing, I am a top and bred him. However he was far too rushed, off to shower almost as I came! Tired today, and as an older top, not as athletic as some members here, so just tried go go bars. Hotmale was dull, just boys in red jeans, some shirtless, jeans tight! A few attractive twink types, only one smiling. Really poor show, in my view, too cold, too loud. Maybe a quarter full, all male. Tried Tawan, in homage to Vinapu, at 10.30. told to go away, as they were full, come back at 11.00. I did, to be turned away again, try 11.30! I gave up. Better luck tomorrow, I hope! Incidentally, airport was ok. It was New Year's Day, not so busy, but Fast lane difficult to find. Not really marked. I asked an official, who pointed out I had walked past it. Maybe 8 to 10 minute line.2 points -

Home Spa is the last massage shop on the road before passing under the expressway and only a few minutes walk beyond KK Massage. It generally operates like the other independent (free agent) shops in Saphan Kwai but usually has a larger cadre of guys on hand in a "resting" room. For the mobility impaired, it has rooms and showers on the street level. With this shop I'd recommend reserving a guy of your choice rather than trying your luck on arrival. Thai labourers eye Israel’s farmlands for higher wages
splinter1949 and one other reacted to reader for a topic
From The Thaiger The escalating conflict between Israel and the Palestinian militant group, Hamas, hasn’t deterred Thai labourers from seeking employment in Israel’s farmlands. Their decision to remain or return to work in Israel is primarily driven by the substantial financial benefits they can accrue. Satid Prom-u-narot, 37 years old, highlighted the stark disparity in wages between the two countries. “On average, I can earn about 600 baht for about two hours of work in Israel. To get that amount in Thailand, I would need to work for a full day. I may even earn less,” he stated. Although Satid’s camp was attacked by militants, he and his fellow Thai workers escaped unharmed. Despite initial concerns about his safety, Satid decided to return to Israel after spending a week in Thailand. He reasoned, “I have mechanical skills, so I earn a living by working odd jobs like installing air-conditioning, electrical wires, and CCTV systems. But I cannot save a lot of money for my family. I will go to Israel to complete my five-year contract.” Labour Ministry figures reveal that approximately 30,000 Thais were working in Israel under the Thailand-Israel Cooperation on the Placement of Workers programmes before the conflict ensued. The government repatriated 9,475 Thais, but around 20,000 chose to stay. In an effort to assist the repatriated workers, the government offered each worker 15,000 baht (US$435.79) from its fund and 50,000 baht (US$1,452.64) from an emergency fund for aid. Additionally, low-interest loans of up to 150,000 baht (US$4,357.93) were made available to help workers clear any debts owed to job brokers or to pursue other careers, reported Bangkok Post.2 points -

Urgent fixes for Bangkok Bus Terminal
splinter1949 reacted to reader for a topic
From The Nation Loading... Transport Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit has ordered interprovincial bus operator Transport Co and other relevant agencies to urgently address all issues raised about the Bangkok Bus Terminal. This order was in response to complaints raised by Move Forward Bangkok MP Suphanat Minchaiynunt after he visited the terminal in Bangkok’s Chatuchak district. Suphanat listed the following problems: • 5 broken escalators • No lifts • 10 of 15 available fire extinguishers are broken • Inaccessible first-aid room • Inaccessible room for breastfeeding • No air-conditioning at bus platforms • Nobody using ticket vending machines • No ease of access for people with disabilities • Low lighting • Intruders in empty areas in the terminal • Defective toilets • Defective signboards • Taxi and motorcycle taxi drivers demanding expensive fares • No connection to BTS station Suphanat said he had raised these issues earlier and called on the authorities for action, but to no avail. Suriya responded on Saturday, saying that the Transport Ministry and other relevant agencies have acknowledged the complaint and are getting ready to address the issues as soon as possible. He also pointed out that the Bangkok Bus Terminal is linked to the Krungthep Aphiwat Central Terminal (Bang Sue Grand Station), which is in line with the ministry’s policy to make travelling easy for locals. The minister also said that relevant agencies have been instructed to deal with unscrupulous cabbies and motorcycle taxis, as well as intruders in empty spots in the terminal. https://www.nationthailand.com/thailand/politics/400342601 point -

Davis was briefly jailed in 2015 for her refusal, and she was subsequently taken to court. Courts have also ruled that she must pay $100,000 in damages to the two men she had refused to work with. Davis' attorneys are expected to appeal Tuesday's ruling. Davis spent five days in jail for ignoring court orders to issue licenses to same-sex couples following a 2015 Supreme Court ruling allowing gay marriage. She argued that she was acting "under God's authority," and was freed after a judge ordered her deputies to issue the licenses without her approval. Davis had run for re-election to the county clerk office in 2018, but she lost to a Democrat. She had argued that she would be able to certify same-sex marriages due to a change in Kentucky law dropping the requirement for licenses to contain the clerk's signature. Davis was defeated in the 2018 election by Democrat Elwood Caudill Jr. 54% to 46%. One of Caudill's challengers in the Democratic primary for the post was David Ermold, to whom Davis refused to issue a license. After losing, Ermold accused Caudill of being an "anti-gay bigot." "I just want him to lose. I would rather Kim Davis win," Ermold said ahead of the election. "At least Kim Davis has the integrity to stand up for what she believes in. Elwood Caudill is a liar."1 point

Well, those bacteria take hold in the urethra and the rectum (and throat). Where did you get the information that scrubbing those places helps prevent infection? I haven't read that anywhere. Brief Bangkok Reports

Re original gay bars in Patpong Two. I should have referred to Screwboys as the last remaining of the original gay bars on that street. It was nostalgic to visit anyway. Freshboys Had a drink there. More spacious than Screw Boys. 25 to 30 guys available on stage, a lot on stage at one time. Some 20 customers there too. Drinks 450 Baht. Brief show at 2215 with three sexy shows, big cock etc, and only one drag show with one performer(and no sign of any others waiting in the wings). Similar twinky types to Screwboys and bf thought that 30% of them were Vietnamese. Good playful atmosphere and if you are looking for gay boys this may be a good place to visit. One thing that we noticed was how light skinned the guys were in the bar(and in hindsight also in Screwboys). Really only one darker skinned guy there. It used to be that brown skinned guys were the majority, and guys from Isarn were much in demand. Perhaps there is a commercial motivation to satisfy Asian customer preferences for lighter skins, which is compounded by shortage of available local guys. Give me an Isarn guy anytime! Hotmale Also visited Hotmale, seemed to be around twenty guys, comfortable in their own skins and to be on stage, more guys on the hunky side than Freshboys or Screwboy. It’s a good layout and well lit/staged. Although we were shown to our ringside seats, we were never asked for our drinks orders, which was fine as we weren’t in a rush to drink more. Whole bar was focussed on an Asian table who were supplying drinks and 200 Baht to all the dancers and the waiters and then the doormen. And then anyone wearing Hotmale branded shirts. There may have been some swapping of clothes going on outside the door to allow others to benefit! After 15 minutes we left satisfied to have seen what was on offer and had a(much cheaper) drink at Dragon beer bar down stairs.1 point -

I've been to Hot House twice, and I would definitely recommend it. The managers there are the sweetest guys ever. Specifically for the gogo dancers, there's a notable difference between the gogo dancers and those the place refers to as "interactive"—usually porn stars who hang out in the dark room after 1 a.m. or so. Yes, embrace yourself for the late hours. The interactive might not be as attractive as the gogo dancers, but they're a lot of fun to interact with—as the pun intended. the gogo dancers are hotter and very friendly, i sit with some of them during the breaks and got the whatassp of the ones i liked, but didnt have any of them as a provider HH is very active on Facebook: :https://www.facebook.com/HotHouseOficialSP I suggest going there. There's always a host at the entrance who is very welcoming, just like all the bartenders at Hot House. Then, you'll walk up the stairs, where the gogo dancing happens frequently. You may have read my report for my trip. I had a lot of fun; it was my first time, and I didn't have anything to compare to—well, the dreadful Nyc. There aren't any places like Hot House or Lagoa. good luck1 point -

My First Time in Bangkok - November 2023 Trip Report
Daddy415 reacted to revengeboo for a topic
Day 5 In the final moments of my stay in Pattaya, I visited Jometein Beach for a brief jog and to take in the sights of Super Town Walking Street. I observed the seemingly dozens of attractive massage boy twinks, engrossed in their phones, occasionally glancing my way, likely in hopes of attracting some weekday business. The beach area here was noticeably more tranquil and cleaner compared to the main Pattaya Beach. Despite this, should I return, I would prefer to stay near Pattaya Beach yet again for its livelier atmosphere. Initially mistaking the baht buses crowded with tourists for tour buses, I eventually overcame my hesitation and managed to catch one back to LK The Empress for 20 bahts, a great deal There was also some entertainment watching a tourist lose her phone as she clung to the back tail texting away only to have her family scramble off the still moving vehicle dashing into the street to save the precious computer. Thankfully with traffic as bad as it was, we were not moving fast and her phone miraculously survived many near misses! She was spotted on another baht bus cruising by later - having never paid for the one her family dramatically jumped from. The journey back to Bangkok was generally unremarkable, except for a peculiar instance when the Grab driver stopped to refuel. The cost was surprisingly low, I remember calculating to $0.25 per gallon compared to my hometown where it is about $5.00. Yikes, and it was a full-service station - can this be real?! Additionally, the driver made a stop at a rest area for a restroom break, leaving me in the car with the keys inside. So thankfully it was an unremarkable trip back and a taste of the horrific rush hour traffic around 5PM in the City proper. For the evening, I had set my sights on visiting Tawan, a place I considered a kind of Mecca. Despite not having a particular interest in leather or BDSM, the appeal of Tawan was quite strong. My preference for beefy, muscular types, as showcased during my emotional rollercoaster at Arena, made the idea of a stone-faced and muscle-bound MB bar especially enticing after my experiences in Pattaya overloaded by uber-affectionate twinks. It promised to be a significant change of pace. I arrived at the bar promptly at 10 PM, aiming to be there for the first, and I believed, the only show of the evening, considering it was a weekday and the crowd was expected to be relatively sparse. Upon entry, I was greeted by an attractive host sporting a military-style buzz cut, dressed in tight black jeans and a fitted black t-shirt. Yummy. Once inside, I initially felt like I was the only patron in the bar, though I later noticed a small group near the entrance engaging with an exceptionally attractive sumo wrestler-like bodybuilder. I was somewhat taken aback by the immediate attention and being ushered to a front and center seat. Tawan's setup was much more intimate and smaller compared to other bars I had visited, such as Dreamboy with its bleacher-like arrangement. This closeness was almost disconcerting, as it felt like one of the imposing hunks scowling at me could nearly reach out and slap me. So perhaps I am a little bit into BDSM. However, as time rolled closer to the show the tiny bar did fill up. I met a fellow American who was seated next to me. A jovial man likely in his late sixties - a retiree who was well versed in jetsetting and MBs. Another few farangs also were among the audience and Asians. Before the main show began, a few dancers were rotating on and off the stage. Among them, a notably large man, though not particularly toned but with a muscular neck and legs, caught my attention with his gorgeous smile, which seemed fixated on me. In response, I found myself sheepishly grinning at pretty much everyone, not wanting to get roped into anything like X-boys so soon, including two dancers who seemed quite out of place. They had a smooth, sweet, twink-like appearance, a type I had become very familiar with by now - the bottoms, I would find out. The show was enjoyable. Not quite sure where Halloween masks came to represent BDSM but I was certainly impressed with the large muscular bodies that rivaled those brutes of Arena. They strode the stage confidently with their weapon of choice and menacing style that I could have watched all night. The all-nude but large cocks wrapped in plastic was still a turnoff so when they streamed into the audience for tips I avoided most of them looking obviously distracted until the smiling guy from the stage came over - 100 baht. My new American friend soon after was accosted by the live sex show portion and had to endure producing a tip as a toll to remove the bottom from his lap. He didn’t stick around much longer after that interaction. There was also, for my first time to witness, a cum show - as the small bar now filled to capacity was able to muster up enough tips to get the muscular mesomorph in a Jason mask to cum to a musical countdown - impressive. I stayed until about midnight enjoying the rotation of men even after the show concluded. In particular, I had my eyes tracking that sumo-wrestler bodybuilder wearing a skimpy jockstrap exposing his massive ass but after he left the table of Asians near the door early on disappeared into the kitchen eating ramen for the remainder of the night. I guess it takes a lot of calories to look like that -- it was not meant to be. Another monstrous muscle daddy was also making me weak - the sort of cartoonish musle that only modern science can produce and he oozed bravado and "straight acting." He prowled around the stage and only went on during the show and just as the club was shutting down for the evening. A massive and imposing specimen who knew he was making me nervous with a bewitching smirk and knowing eyes. He did not wear a number. As the evening began to wind down, the dancer who had earlier smiled at me took a seat beside me. We engaged in the usual conversation about who I was and where I was from, and he was very charming. I observed the men receiving their "tips," and he somewhat sadly informed me that he had only earned 200 baht that night, mentioning it was particularly slow. While I empathized with him, my own sexual frustration was heightened by the intense presense of 'monster daddy,' looming on the stage without any signs he was offable. Feeling a mix of emotions, I abruptly signaled the host that I was ready to settle my bill and leave the premises with my tail between my legs. I gave my smiling large friend a 200 baht tip for the pleasant conversation, then hastened towards the door tail between my legs. The host however trailed close after me groping my ass and crotch asking who I was offing tonight or if I wanted a massage. Though I had been eyeing him up all night, his firm body squeezed into that far too tight black outfit, as he whisked people to and from tables - I was perfectly fine having a calm night and heading to bed. However his insistent molestation of my genitals and offer of a nude B2B massage upstairs for 3000 baht. A few shuffles later, 2500 baht caught my ear. My first negotiation, this must be a deal! So meekly defeated I agreed and he ushered me upstairs to a shower and massage room that would have been well placed in a horror movie movies along with those Freddy Krueger masks. It was very worn down but had the utility to get the job done. The host stripped down exposing his fit body, not quite as monstrous or muscular as most of the dancers from the show but certainly attractive by any definition. He also had a pleasant personality - perhaps a bit too chatty. It was a quality massage, his muscle not going to waste with nice pressure and ultimately explained to me his entire backstory about having a girlfriend and where he was from. That did not stop him from sucking me off (with a condom) letting me suck him off (with a condom) and finishing with a joint climax. My chatty Kathy masseur had noted in the afterglow of my semen seeing that the usual white cream was now mostly clear as water, “you’ve been cumming too much.” Well sir, I’m not stopping until sawdust comes out of this thing. It's important to acknowledge that throughout this trip, I've been both happy and impressed with the consistent use of condoms by the MBs and even the guys at Sauna Mania. While I hadn’t used condoms for all my activities during this trip, I did for the majority. Additionally, I'd taken proactive steps for my sexual health by consulting with my doctor ahead of this "sexcation". I was prescribed DoxyPep to guard against bacterial STIs and have been on PrEP as a preventative measure against HIV. It's a responsible choice that I value and am glad that sex workers are protecting themselves. After the massage with the host, I did my little walk of shame down the ramshackle upper floors of Tawan to the street where I noticed several of the dancers and waiters hanging out. I suspect this would have been a ripe time to off guys 'off the record' - and perhaps that is why they were all lined up to watch me mortified that there was an audience to receive me and hour after I seemingly left the building. So, while Tawan did not turn out exactly as I had expected if this had been the only bar for the entire trip I would have been more than satisfied.1 point -
