The New Year spread was excellent! I did my best to eat as much as I could however there was an overabundance of food for those present. The dancers did their best to please the customers and succeeded! 😜5 points -
Well, those bacteria take hold in the urethra and the rectum (and throat). Where did you get the information that scrubbing those places helps prevent infection? I haven't read that anywhere. If anything, it might be that damaging a mucous membrane could increase the risk of infection. Please read page 1 of the syphilis brochure and page 2 of the gonorrhea brochure. The CDC does not believe washing is helpful. https://www.cdc.gov/std/syphilis/the-facts/syphilis_bro_508.pdf https://www.cdc.gov/std/gonorrhea/the-facts/gonorrhea_bro_508.pdf "• Washing the genitals, urinating, or douching after sex will not prevent any STD..."5 points

As one of those who regularly post trip reports here I can't leave that without answer because your post tickled me a bit and wrong way at that. No, I did not take it personally simply because in my reports you will not find narratives you described " I got fucked and then boy fucked me on the window ledge ". But that is because it's my personal choice believing those details should be left out for privacy reasons, more so of boy's even than mine , not because there's no market for that type of reports. Quite opposite as we can easily measure by numbers of visits threads are receiving , not to mention emoticony reactions. We can easily see that more juicy threads , whatever it means , even lacking any graphics like mine, are visited much more often than even most photogenic touristy ones , no to mention food and shopping related. That is simply nature on the forum. Readers are looking for leads and comments on sexy places , it's why they are visiting and it is what makes that forum both unique and useful . Info about restaurants and hotels can be found in many places , about off fees at Dreamboys only on few forums including this one. As for midnight mass relation , surely it could be interesting for both churchgoers and those who are not but also there's danger , since politics , money and religion are such heat generating subjects that thread may turn into nasty discussion about religious believes , practices and figures. That may go against what actual attendee of mass intends to trigger. Speaking about church matters and in line with your suggestion I advise everybody to visit Holy Redeemer church in soi Ruam Rudi, walk distance from Silom ghetto diagonally across Lumpini park, perhpas 15 minutes walk from Rama VI monument if not less . Architecture is not churchy , it looks like most Thai temples , only cross atop indicates that it's the church. Second reason are stations of the cross which everywhere are divided into 14 sections while there are two panels , one on each side of church containing 7 stations seamlessly connected and flowing into next one . I never saw anything like that anywhere Other thing which needs to be mentioned and floridarob said it already above. While all criticism is welcomed and may actually help to make posts and reports more readable it would immensely add credibility to critique if complainers were known for their own contribution . It's one thing and easy at that , to complain about posts being boring and repetitive or whatever but another to try to put together one itself. Trip reports are very time and effort consuming and even if we don't read them we should be happy somebody is kind enough to share his vacation adventures , whatever their nature are. Even if sexscapades are not interesting it's always good to treat report as receipt for fun filled vacation. Happy to report that after writing it blood pressure is back to normal 130/744 points -
I enjoyed reading about people experiences at the bars and massage, it's very helpful and the main reason why I come to this forum. If I wanted to read about the usual travel experience in bangkok, there are plenty of travel sites and YT videos to go to...so please keep those reports coming 🙏3 points

I have done this from Brazil and had no issues. I was only allowed to stay 6 months per year but the Internet was find and the hotels were fine. I'd try a place like Porto Alegre just to save for expenses or maybe I just like it there. But, you should have little problem from Brazil. However, Thailand is also very easy and they have a visa for nomads (I think) as to some other countries.3 points

Thank you , I guess so and did not take any personal offence. I don't mind being criticized for my reports though , if only because when re-reading them and I do that at least once a year, I see they could use a lot of fine tuning. But where I found offending logic is fact that travel, posts are criticized my posters who don't bother with theirs. I'd say write something first and than have a go at others for the same. Whenever somebody writes about their adventures I'm grateful because I know first hand how much time it takes. Like with every other posts , if readers found it not interesting it's easy procedure to skip and go to the next thread or even have a walk with the dog instead. Sometimes posts are repetitive and it's for a reason - new readers , who can't be expected to comb through whole forum in order to learn how to get to Arena or if they have twinks at Tawan (yes, now they do and some very attractive at taht) .3 points -

Thailand Targets Massive Tourism Revenue
Marc in Calif and one other reacted to reader for a topic
If they're serious about this then they'll simply make it easier for tourists to come and go with a minimum of inconvenience. But bureaucracy is a hard thing for bureaucrats to forego. This comes across more as lip service to their goal than actual solutions. From National News Bureau of Thailand The government is focusing on the tourism sector to generate 3.5 trillion baht this year, promoting Thailand as a year-round destination. In 2023, the country welcomed over 27 million tourists, led by visitors from Malaysia and China. From January to December, tourist numbers reached 27.25 million, in line with government targets. Malaysia, China, South Korea, India, and Russia were the top contributors to these figures. The government aims to increase tourism revenue by spotlighting both popular and lesser-known locations. The revenue goal is divided between domestic (1 trillion baht) and international (2.5 trillion baht) tourism. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Thai Chamber of Commerce are actively promoting provinces like Phrae, Lampang, and Nakhon Sawan for their untapped tourism potential. The TAT highlights the positive impact of visa-free policies for countries like Kazakhstan, China, and Russia, with plans to extend these benefits. There’s also a discussion about introducing multiple-entry visas. Tourism operators are also calling for further government support, emphasizing the economic importance of tourism, especially in gateway regions such as Nakhon Ratchasima province, noted for its three UNESCO sites.2 points -

Working Remotely in Brazil
floridarob and one other reacted to TotallyOz for a topic
Original poster said he has a job that allows him to work from anywhere. He said he would spend one month in Brazil. He did not say that the job was only for one month or that he could not do other things after that month. Many jobs are now being done remotely and thus what some offered suggestions and recommendations. We all love helping here!2 points -
OP indicates a month, one month (!), a duration matched, exceeded, and plunged into by most posters on this board that travel to Brazil irrespective of other obligations when there. Therefore, in what way does remote employment status uniquely enter into how to plan the playbook, other than structuring time and activity in a particular way and protecting company gear from out-calls? Or just do this:2 points

If you like shows and carberet, here is my list of preference. For ladyboy shows, i voted banana bar to be amongst the best, with jupiter came in second, mainly because their ladyboy shows always accompanied by 3-4 sexy boys (my type). For sexy boys shows, xboys in pattaya leads the show with tawan came in second. These are the bars that left very little to our imagination. Plenty of dicks on show, creative ways of using them, chuck wow show as well as fucking show. I put hotmale as honorary mention as they dont really have ladyboy shows at all, only the guys doing their shows, solo or duo shows at a time. Moonlight and BBB used to have great shows, but based on my recent visits there, it has become boring now. Moonlight shows now predominantly done by their models, many of which couldnt dance, and very PG. BBB on the other hand, has added more and more ladyboy shows, now with gay dancers, and gay lipsync shows as well. Kinda similar with banana in that aspect but i actually enjoyed banana bar shows, where as BBB shows really boring in my opinion. One other observation, seems like BBB has different line up for boys who do the shows (mostly big dicks but average body, average looks) and boys who would be on stage for hire, which for me, still amongst the best line up of handsome boys in pattaya, and by extension, on par with jupiter. I didnt go to freshboy this year, so cant comment on their shows quality nor the boys. Dreamboy bangkok on the other hand, while they always have plenty of boys of various types, none of them i would off, and their shows are average for me, not to boring not too good. Regardless of the shows though, my ranking based on preference for offing are quite diff indeed. Based on recent visits, for pattaya, its BBB, and Dreamboys. For bangkok, moonlight has been my go to, with tawan, sol, jupiter came right behind.2 points

I appreciate the variety on this site, just as I enjoy the variety of experiences offered by my many (eighty plus) trips to Thailand. I suspect that, were reports from bars the only content, I'd be an occasional visitor only and not a contributor. But they're not. We explore issues that are more applicable to the wonderful times I spend there...tourism and hotels, eating-out, travel, culture, history Including that of the gay scene, politics and the joys and tribulations of relationships with our beautiful hosts. Regarding that final one, this is the only forum on which I can discuss my own relationship openly and without provoking rancour. And that's precious to me.2 points -

Vinapu hit the nail on the head. Generally speaking, people come to this site for information about the sex-related aspects of travelling (whether Thailand, Brazil, Barcelona, or wherever). More specifically, about the opportunities to buy sex 😛. This is the "unique selling proposition", as they say in business, of this forum. Inevitably, a forum such as this attracts a tiny minority of visitors who see an opportunity to get all moralistic (or racist). It's like walking into a cutting-edge fine-dining restaurant and scolding diners for spending top dollar for food when there are people elsewhere living from hand to mouth. Like all instances when people do that, it is subconsciously so that they feel superior to others. (Or because they cannot afford fine-dining 😉). They seldom realise how moralism, racism and holier-than-thouism look to others (tip: not a pretty picture). Therefore, posters on this forum are not equal. I think many of us instinctively categorise posters into two kinds: those who make trip reports and have useful information to share, and those who don't make trip reports and have nothing but their egos on display. Phew, now that I've said it, I feel better too!2 points -

Actually, I would find that a rather pleasant change from yet another, "I got fucked in massage parlour X, then I got fucked in massage parlour Y, and then I got fucked in massage parlour Z and then I went home and found a boy on Grindr who came over and fucked me in the shower and then I found a boy on Hornet who fucked me on the dressing table and then I went on Blued and found a boy who promised to fuck me on the window ledge (but never showed-up) and then I went out to get fucked again and I got fucked...again." No, that isn't directed at any poster in particular. My point is simply that if some posters are only posting those parts of their reports that involve them getting rammed and jammed because they think no one would actually be interested in reading about their other activities in a trip report, I think they will be pleasantly surprised. Many readers would probably be interested in reading a fuller trip report. Considering how much Bangkok, and Thailand, have to offer, it would be difficult not tell an interesting story when posting a fuller trip report. While the mention of "church attendance" above was obviously an attempt at being witty, I actually think that a description of midnight mass in Bangkok would be an interesting read if anyone ever did post something like that - or of anything in particular that struck the poster during "aimless wandering through Chinatown steets just for fun of it." Sex is certainly a big part of many people's holidays in Thailand, but surely there is more to it than that for most? On the other hand, if someone's "trip" does actually consist of little more than being fucked in the arse repeatedly, then I suppose that is what they are going to be posting - and there is obviously a market for that sort of highbrow material here too.2 points -
Trip Report - BKK, Chiang Mai, Pattaya
traveller123 and one other reacted to omega for a topic
You guys are funny So my hotel booked me a taxi to Jomtien. 1200baht, seemed like a good deal to me, especially since the trip back to BKK was 1600. So on arrival at Jomtien, I check into hotel, and go for a little wander to find the beach and see the area. On walking past one of the massage shops in the complex, I'm grabbed at by multiple boys... clearly the boys are far more forward here! I carry on walking trying to smile and shake my head and say no. On my return, I spy out Sophia's thai, and a couple cafe/resturants opposite, and make note for food later. My favourite thai food is 'pad gra pow'... and if you ask for not spicy, they simply leave out all of the chillis, If you ask for a little spice, you get all of the spice. So my first night, I go around the Complex, checking out all the bars. It's busy because its christmas eve, seems like everyone is out. As I'm wandering through several of the bar boys try to grab me to pull me into their bars. One even gives me a bear hug and wont let me past. I was cold sober at this point, and I'm a pretty shy reserved guy. Stangers grabbing and hugging me uninvited is not what I call fun. I eventually find a bar that looks a bit quiter with a good seat to people watch. After some time, I get a message from the boys I saw it BBK, they're sitting at the bar nearby and invite me over. I sit for drinks and get to know them all better. At the end of the night, I go back with one, I'll call him M, and M certainly wasn't just a beautiful face. He was defintely worth every baht of his tip. He leaves after, and I go to sleep satisfied. The next morning I take a little trip over to Terminal 21 to wander the mall and see if there is any good sales on. I find a couple of nice things, and head back to the complex. After a swim and a rest, I'm ready for night 2. I run the massage shop gauntlet again to get some food, then I decide to go to the Venue for the show. After enjoying the awesome show, I end up back drinking with M and his friends. I go back to hotel alone though. The following day I spend relaxing by at the beach and by the pool, and of the evening, I eat then join M and friends for drinks. We end up playing drinking games, and M asks me to take him back to the hotel, and thats where we go. After some good times were had, we both head back to join the others for more drinking and games. M wants to stay with me the night, and I say yes. I leave to your imaginations what we got up to. At this point, M is starting to refer to me as his bf... which would suprise none of the more experienced members here I'm sure. It's my last full day in Thailand, and I spend most of it with M, relaxing at the beach and having lunch. Of the evening, we part company for a while, before meeting up again. I want to see the Venue show again, and M comes along. He's really not into the show at all, but I'm enjoying it... technical issues and all My last night I spend alone as I needed to be up early for the flight home. I had thought this would be my last ever trip to LoS... but I think I've been convinced that there is still much more for me to enjoy there. Thanks for reading2 points -

Thailand’s popularity as a retirement destination nearing crunch point
Marc in Calif reacted to reader for a topic
From Pattaya Mail By Barry Kenyon The tweak in the Thai Revenue rules, affecting both Thai and foreign tax residents, means that income derived from assessable foreign sources is to be taxable from new year’s day 2024. The exact impact and scope remain fog-bound, but it is no exaggeration to say that the move has put the cat firmly amongst the expat pigeons who spend six months or more in the kingdom in a calendar year. The fiscal move may indeed be aimed at wealthy Thais with offshore bank accounts or profits from overseas businesses, but the typical expat risks being trapped in the crossfire. The Thai tax authority is still mulling the detail. Officers know that whatever tax is due on cash transferred to Thailand during 2024 won’t appear on an individual’s tax return until 2025. So no hurry in their eyes. Most expats, of course, have barely heard of a Thai tin (tax identification number), let alone filled one in. And that’s part of the problem. Many older expats hate the idea of being ensnared in Thai financial bureaucracy and, potentially, needing to hire a tax lawyer. Or, of course, leave the country for pastures new. It may not come to that. For example, the Revenue has not issued a ruling on whether foreign income (such as pensions) are taxable under the enforcement decree. It may come down to the detail in double taxation agreements which Thailand has made with scores of countries. But they are all different in scope and most readers will require an expert to decipher the meaning of some of the clauses. Many Bangkok-based accountancy and legal firms are already anticipating a huge rise in the number of troubled clients. What is at stake, of course, is Thailand’s future as a retirement base. Over the years, Thailand has built up a reputation as a safe and attractive home for expats. Many have bought condominium units or set up a company to purchase a house. In future, there is no guarantee that foreigners sending money for these purposes won’t be taxed on the lump sum. If so, the prospects for the Thai property market might well take a downward swing without precedent. Whether the Thai government has thought out all the consequences of the Revenue decree seems unlikely. The Thai Board of Investment has suggested that the solution is for foreigners to apply for the 10 year golden visa, Long Term Residence, as this permits most overseas income to be brought into Thailand without any taxes together, as well as granting other financial and immigration perks. But the LTR isn’t available for retirees unless their annual income is at least US$80,000 a year or they are prepared to invest mega-cash in Thai banks or securities. There is no shield from the Revenue in Elite visas or one year extensions of stay based on retirement, marriage etc. Although no formal government statistics are issued, there are believed to be 400,000 to 500,000 longstay foreigners in Thailand who could be affected by the latest Revenue move. Some of these hold authorized work permits and already have a tax identification number for their local salary. Others are freelancers conducting online activities and earning from international clients. But most are older expats, retirees existing mainly or solely on pre-taxed pension and social security payments. The challenge for Thailand now is how to maintain competiveness in the global market. In the meantime, the internet is awash with wrong information such as a fabricated claim that retirees have to prove to immigration that their 800,000 cash lump sum has already been taxed in the home country or that all visa holders over 50 must have a tax identification number when renewing their annual permit. Optimistic bloggers say that the whole Revenue business is a chimera and that nothing will happen in practice, whilst pessimists predict that any foreign cash will have 35 percent automatically deducted on arrival. None of that is true, but continued silence about the government’s intentions can only boost falsehoods, innuendos and gossip. That’s no way to run a taxation system or to market a country to the outside world.1 point -

Well, if you put "perhaps" after a statement, the perhaps can be anything, no matter how outlandishly unlikely. Putting unfounded medical advice out there might lead someone to rely on that information, and get into real trouble. There is no evidence that scrubbing won't be harmful, either. One can imagine that tears in the skin could increase risk. I know of no evidence either way. What a person might find "aesthetically attractive" is entirely besides the point.1 point -

I didn't say prevent infection but the perhaps reduce the chance of infection. Trip Report - BKK, Chiang Mai, Pattaya
fedssocr reacted to floridarob for a topic
This creates "Choice overload bias" What it is Choice overload describes how, when given more options to choose from, people tend to have a harder time deciding, are less satisfied with their choice, and are more likely to experience regret. Why it happens We have limited cognitive resources, so having more options to consider drains our mental energy more quickly, overwhelming us. Trying to maximize (i.e. finding the best option) also makes us prone to choice overload, as does preference uncertainty. Example 1 - Smartphones and choice overload By giving us so many choices about how we can spend our time, smartphones and other mobile technologies might contribute to a persistent sense of choice overload. Example 2 - Cultural differences While Americans prize individual choice, other cultures are more comfortable with handing off decisions to community members or experts. Research shows this might reduce the negative feelings we experience after making a difficult choice. How to avoid it While the number of choices presented to us isn’t controllable, we can use techniques to mitigate the overwhelming effects of too many options: set aside some dedicated browsing time, treat your choices as nonreversible, and try keeping a gratitude journal.1 point -
I arrived back in BKK quite late. My plane had been delayed, and I'd missed out on plans for drinks with ex and friends. I still dragged my carcass off to DJ station for another night of fun flirting with boys in the club. One particular group caught my attention, and they looked like they were having a great time. The following day, I got a message on grindr from one of the boys in the group I'd seen the night before, and we started chatting. I met up with ex and friend for the day, going up the river towards the Royal Palace area, they wanted to do a little jewelry shopping, and there was a big temple nearby to visit, that I'd never been to before. That evening we went for drinks in Soi 4, before they departed for home and I went to DJ station one last time. After some time, dancing and flirting, Nam messaged me on Line asking if I wanted to meet. It was my last night in Bangkok, and Nam is super cute, so I went for it. After a little negotiation,we agreed a price, and I took him back to the hotel. He showered first, and then I showered. We got into bed, and he's on his phone watching straight porn to get hard. This threw me a bit, and killed whatever sexual desires I had for him at that point. I guess I found out that straight boys defintely don't do it for me. I declined to continue with him, gave him 1500baht for his time, and showed him out. I was horny at this point though, and so I turned to Grindr. They boyI'd seen in the club was online, and we started chatting. They were visiting from Pattaya for the weekend, and were going back the next day. Co-incidently, that's exactly where I was heading!1 point

With all reviews I proceed with caution about what people I don't even know from meeting in person or steadily contributing here, say. Be it boys, hotels, airport , flights , bars ,massages , restaurants or dishes, you name it. We all like different things , pay attention to different details (perennial and never concluded twinks vs. hunks discussion) so ones disappointment may be other's joy and fun. Second , we tent to form opinion just after one try which may be accurate but also premature, boy may have just bad day because his girlfriend dumped him or AC in the room did not work but was repaired day after we left. Even here on the forum I had few cases when trusted forum friends, liking the same type like me recommended me a guy which was just bit more than also run for me and other way around, whom I recommended they just politely described as 'quite Ok ". Not to mention because I already did few times here, case of guy from Senso I was warned twice to stay away from , I went with my gut , and he turned one of best my boys ever, hired and hired again until he disappeared from the scene. Even heavy cases like theft may not be confirmed. I'm privy to two cases , one in Raya another in some massage shop near TukCom when theft reported in haste turned out not to be after all, money or watch was found not where was supposed to be , but was found and complainer retracted his claim publicly.1 point -
