Don't be so pissy. Chill. This is how forums work. They all go off topic. It's how conversations work. You start a conversation, but don't get to dictate what everyone says or how the conversation drifts. People were trying to be helpful, or just commenting and you act like everybody has taken a dump in your corn flakes. Take the advice, or ignore it, but but getting up in arms because somebody gives you advice you can't use is kinda silly.7 points

You've obviously never been on gay forums -- or, for that matter, any forum where free discussion is the norm. When someone states an idea or plan, people are going to comment on it whether you like it or not. They're not breaking any rules or guidelines. Remember: You're not in the Navy anymore, Seaman. You've repeatedly cursed at other members since you joined these forums. You've proven yourself to be a right arsehole (yeah, that's one of your cursewords) yourself. 🍑 I'm sure the door will slam painfully on your 🍑 when you leave here. Only once - and it was because I panicked at the time! I was in Siam Paragon when I saw a crowd of people. Always curious (and never ever wanting to miss out!) I politely pushed myself to the front and found myself standing with the press corps. And what was all the fuss about? A VIP - the daughter of a Very Very VIP was opening a French cosmetic boutique. As she chatted animately in French with the owner she headed over our way. Our eyes met! She kept coming closer! I thought she was going to order me to move, but instead she smiled, I wai-ed and bowed very deeply. We ended up exchanging a few words in French. French is my first language and I grew up speaking it as a child until I went to live in Japan. So I hadn't spoken it for a long while, but adrenalin kicked in and I reckon my French would have been perfect! (Lol). Hers certainly was. After our brief conversation ended, she moved on. A security guard (who obvioudky wasn't doing his job and is probably still languishing in prison!) rushed over and told me to l leave. In Asia, the way you greet someone depends on your "status" in society. That it why it is rather funny to see farang who wai bar boys. It's totally inappropriate and demonstrates a lack of cultural awareness. But no harm done.4 points -

Never, in twenty -five years. As usual, in my first few visits I followed the advice of Michael Nottcut whose Thai Scene was my guide: he strongly discouraged it. Then , when I started being with P (who told me he'd won a competition for the best Wai in his locality!) I understood that a smile was the safer bet. Far less complicated for both Thais and falang to understand. I say "never" but there was one; when I was first introduced to Mama and Papa. For this momentous occasion, I was provided with detailed guidance.3 points -

Hello Everyone I'm devastated to have just returned home from a trip to BKK. I hadn't been since 2019 and definitely made up for lost time. It was sad to see Soi Twilight gone since I was last there, but also exciting to see new (and old) bars sprouting up across the street. I don't do massage places, so this is just some notes on the bars I visited Dreamboys Dreamboys (original) was the first bar I ever visited in BKK, and we've made a tradition of always visiting here on our first night. I always remember this place more for its crazy shows - like where the big inflatable cock squirted water over everyone. That seems gone now sadly. New venue is a good size. Boys are of mixed type. I'm concious from other threads that the owner fired non-Thai boys. I met one Viet working in Fresh Boys who said he had been let go from Dreamboys recently, but didn't elaborate, so this might be related. Jupiter Probably the bar that excites me the most and frustates me the most in all of Bangkok. Most of the guys here are undoubtely gorgeous - straight looking, athletic, confident types - some very good looking. This bar has a slightly cooler atmosphere to it. Some members complain about perhaps the boys being too... modelly. I get that. But they work for me. I have to say that their shows are the sexiest. I find most bars don't use best looking boys for the shows (maybe the best looking boys are not the best performers) but in Jupiter, the guys performing are great. The guys are all shirtless and will do 3 or 4 parades around the bar - sometimes in pants, and sometimes in jeans. Always seemed to be busy. We visited 3 times - even early in the week at 10, and could barely get a seat! But I find this place frustrating because the best looking guys almost always seemed to be taken quickly (or reserved) by high-rollers, VIPs, or rowdy tables of young women. Only on the last night, did one of the mamasans show any interest in asking us if we we wanted anything. He took me "shopping" backstage to find boy I liked. Worked out in the end... On a side note, a couple of guys I was interested were performers, but did not wear numbers on their jeans on the final "walk" of the night. Could not tell if they were simply non-offable performers, or perhaps if they were already taken. Does anyone know why they walk without numbers? On a second side note - some v cute, young-looking waiters - with numbers. Strange mix. I would imagine that the people coming to see the guys at Jupiter, would not be interested in this type. Moonlight I like the atmosphere in this bar. Even on a late weekday night, the place was busy with all kinds of customers, and everyone excited to see the performers. I have to admit, I had grown tired of seeing all the usual "superstars" in pics and videos online. But they still put on a great show. And seeing Babe perform again in person - he is beautiful. That smile! The selection of boys is good looking - feel like they have a similar vibe to Jupiter - the kind of guys young female tourists want to drink with. Most wore jeans & t-shirts. Tawan Only visited here once. Only ever visit here once on any trip. I take a notion to see these big guys out of curiosity, but ultimately bodybuilders are not my type, and the show is too rough for me - it had whipping, cigarettes, wax etc. As some members have pointed out, I did see one twink here - but he seemed to be the bottom for the muscle boys. He got carrieed around the room, table to table, for tips, while being f*cked. Fresh Boys Really liked the selction of guys here. Almost totally twinks (some twunks). All shirtless. They did a big cock show where they whack their dicks against a metal pole. Ouch. Hot Male Only visited here once, briefly, after midnight. The guys were attractive and nice bodies. I didn't see much of interest for myself, but I don't want to say its indicative of the bar, given how late I visited. Screw Boy First revalation of the trip. I don't know why I didn't visit here on previous trips. I sometimes got a sense from this forum that this bar was seedy or low class or something, so I was never really inclined to go. We ended up here somewhat accidentally when, after leaving a last minute, post-midnight trip to Fresh Boys, empty-handed, a hawker grabbed us surreptitiously on the staircase. "Show at 1!" So we went in. Really liked this place. I was delighted, not just to find a bar that opened later than the others on this street (they do shows at 1 am), but it had lots of really cute young guys, a fun atmostphere (opposite of cool atmosphere of Jupiter), 2 fun, friendly mamasans, good music and also a young male performer who looked like he could be an idol or something (later discovered he is a male performer on the Ladyboys of Bangkok tour). The guys all wore matching white baseketball outfits. Visited here 3 times. Banana Bar Second revalation of the trip. I was not going to go to this bar because there was nothing written about it in the forums that made it particularly stand out to me. But I was left alone by my friend one night of the trip because of a business meeting. After a drink alone at Connections Bar on Soi 4, I decided to wander in and had a great night. Beautiful ladyboys and performers, who had toured the UK as part of "The Ladyboys of Bangkok". Main performer very handsome. Waiters were friendly. And also I was startled to meet the mamasan here who used to work in X-Boys. I spoke to her about some of the changes since I had last been here. Of course a lot of money was spent. Amateur. Went back second night, but attention was on a VIP table. Mamasan told us same customer had spent 100k tips on a previous night. Wow. Had the same big cock pole whacking show as Fresh Boys. G's Third revelation of the trip. Sorry, I know this isn't about a bar - but I had never been to G's restaurant before on Soi 4. My friend and I went one night and got German/Thai fusion dishes which were delicious. Fully intended to go here again, but didn't due to other commitments, but this will definitely be a stop for dinner on the next trip. Recommended! Did not get to visit Sol or New Twilight unfortunately. Frustations with "Line" - had line contact for one of the Moonlight stars but when I logged into a very old account, it wouldn't let me add new contacts. So I tried to sign out and back in again, but said my account was blocked for 58 days. End of that adventure. Very sad and exhausted to be home now. But hope you enjoy my notes.2 points

Yes, the left-wing New York Times poll from September 2011 predicted that left-wing President Barack Obama's chances for re-election had dropped significantly: President Obama’s support is eroding among elements of his base, and a yearlong effort to recapture the political center has failed to attract independent voters, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll, leaving him vulnerable at a moment when pessimism over the country’s direction is greater than at any other time since he took office. You're very smart to trust New York Times polls. They are ALWAYS predictive of election results in the year preceding a presidential election. 🤡🤡🤡2 points -

That reminds me of the news clip I remember seeing some 4 years or so ago. They interviewed some idiot who admitted she voted for Trump in 2016. Her foreign-born husband found himself deported to his native country (I believe it was Mexico) due to Trump's hard-nosed immigration policies (her husband got a DUI). Then it was, wah, wah, wah. I should have known I was voting for an asshole. For those with short memories, it was Trump who set up a Muslim immigration ban. The Republican party is not the party for religious diversity. It's the party for the religiously narrow-minded. If Palestinian-Americans, or even Muslims in general, assist Trump in winning, they'll deserve everything they have coming to them. What preposterously short memories! Unfortunately, a lot of other people will suffer in addition to themselves.2 points -

Seeking Must-Have Line App Contacts for My First Trip to Bangkok!
ChristianPFC and one other reacted to Gaybutton for a topic
What I do is first find boys that interest me on the apps. If the chat goes well and I am still interested, I ask if he has LINE. Almost all of them do. Then I ask for his LINE ID and I give him mine. If it is a boy I've met personally, such as a bar boy or someone I simply met by chance, we trade LINE IDs right then and there. Something I've never figured out is I get many boys I've neither met nor ever heard of who add me to their own LINE, and the app says they added me by phone number. I have no idea how they got my phone number, but there it is. If it is someone who interests me, I go ahead and add him. I can always block him later if need be. If the person does not interest me, I don't add him and I don't chat with him. Be prepared to handle the pleas for money. I don't get many of those, but I do get them. I usually won't give them any money because one thing I've learned the hard way, living in Thailand, is if you give the boy money once, now the pleas for money never stop. Sometimes I'll come up with some excuse and sometimes I'll just say "Sorry - NO." The boy usually tries to argue about it, but that does him no good. Not with me, anyway. The two most common pleas I get are "I not have money for eat" and "I not have money for pay for room" In all the years I've lived here I have never seen a boy starve to death and I have never seen a boy lose his room. If I do give money, it is only to a boy I really like and have known long enough to know he is telling me the truth. Bottom line is be very careful about who is getting your LINE ID.2 points -
Cont... Jupiter : I was also there twice, once on a weekday and once on a weekend. 1st drink was at THB 500. I didn't off anyone here as well. The models were all gorgeous that I don't think there's any single one that I wouldn't want to off 😅. Possibly the most number of models out of all the bars I managed to check out. On both days, there were a lot of patrons here (compared to other bars). Particularly on the weekend, it was so full that the waiters were struggling to find places to sit the incoming patrons. The shows were great, a mix of sexy shows and drag performances. I would echo the observations of other members on the general lack of smile or eye contact by models (I was seated facing the centre of the runway such that the models, when doing their rounds, would be seeing me face to face at a point but not a single one smiled). All in all, I had a good time there admiring the models and enjoying the shows. One thing I would note is that, perhaps a little different from what I've read previously, there were not that many female patrons on the weekday when I was there (I'd say less than 10, in a packed bar). Hotmale : I was only here once on a weekday, close to midnight. It was after their show. There were probably less than 15 models there, and only a few other patrons. Drink prices were the same as others and I didn't off anyone here. The models were a mix of the generally fit/athletic type and twinks, and probably the most enthusiastic out of all the bars I went to. They would try to win your attention as much as they could while on stage. Dreamboy : I also went here twice, once on a weekday and once on a weekend. Drinks were a little more expensive at THB 550 on both days. There was a variety of models available for off, ranging from twinks to jocks to muscle guys. I find the shows here to be the most interesting out of all (with the pyro act and flying angels etc.). Some of the models on stage will try to make eye contact and flash a smile, but others seemed rather disinterested. At least none were on their phone while on stage. There were quite a few I would love to off next time. Moonlight : I went here twice as well. The drinks were priced at THB 500. I did off a boy from here (his drink + off fee = THB 900, if I'm not mistaken). The captain was very informative about the boys (who tops, btms etc.), told me about the minimum tip expected for an off (THB 2,500) and even went to pull out additional photos of the boys from his phone. The boys are generally of the same type as Jupiter. The guy I offed told me he remembered seeing me the previous day I was there (and he was right on when that was) so maybe the boys do take note of who sits in the audience? I noticed one particular boy who did give a lot of eye contact and smiles on and off stage, but I didn't off him this round (I went with the captain's recommendation). The shows were alright but maybe because I've seen videos of their models before that it wasn't that exciting in person. My ST experience with the boy was also good, and I would definitely off him again. It helped that I clarified what I was expecting to do with him at the bar, to which he confirmed to be OK with him. He is friendly and spoke fairly decent English. Massage I only managed to check out one massage centre, Arena. The boys were all muscular guys that I could've easily gone with any of them. I chose one fair skinned Thai from the north and took the 1 hour VIP room oil milk massage (around THB 900 - big room and comes with tea/coffee. But for some reason, the shower room smelled a little off that even my guy commented on it). I was told that the minimum tip was THB 1000. His massage was a little too light for my liking (had to nudge him to increase the pressure) but it wasn't really bad (since I just wanted a relaxing massage anyway). The afters were alright, with some foreplay before he finished me off. He offered to finish as well for some extra tip (as it was pretty early in the afternoon) but I declined. I did still tip him more than the minimum since I enjoyed his company and conversation (even with limitations in the language department). Those were some of my observations on the gogo bars and massage centre that I went to. I am already looking forward to my 2024 trips there, as there were a lot of guys from the bars I would love to off.2 points

Shameless Mack in Saigon

Starting with this newly uploaded post Saigon in the heat of April, there will be a series of reviews of five massage places in Saigon (Ho Chi MInh City) on my blog. It may take a few days for each of the rest of the posts to come up because I am still putting finishing touches onto them, in between catching up on work. It was a rather last-minute escapade. I found myself with a relatively free week and decided I would use it "productively". Since it had been at least 10 years since my last visit to Saigon, it was time to re-acquaint myself with this city.1 point -
Hi all, I've been reading (and benefiting) a lot from the reports made by members here, so I thought I'd make a little contribution by sharing my own report from a recent short trip to Bangkok. I'm not much of a storyteller, so I thought I'd just share my general observation as opposed to going on a day-to-day format. For some context, I'm a Southeast Asian guy and my trip to Bangkok lasted only for short few days. It's my first trip to Bangkok since the pandemic, so I was just checking out what's changed since I was last there. Bars I was able to check out Tawan, Moonlight, Jupiter, Hotmale and Dreamboys during this short trip. Here are some of my observations: Tawan: I was here twice, once each on a weekday and a weekend. Drinks for both nights were THB500 (didn't off anyone, so I didn't ask about the off fee). The new location was just too small for my liking, especially when compared to the other bars. It didn't help when the captain tried to squeeze patrons together (I guess I can understand why) which limits the possibility of me having a boy over to chat, seeing how others could clearly here my possibly not-so-decent conversations with the boy 🤣. There were just one or two bodybuilders during the weekday (with a few more on the weekends) while the others (there were possibly around 10-15 guys on the weekday and a few more on the weekend) were more bear-ish, twunk-ish or twinks. The show still had the same format as before, with the bdsm routine coupled with a few dance/drag show. I didn't stay till the end of the show though. I noticed that the guys were a little more pre-occupied with their phones than trying to get the attention of new patrons (quite different from how I recall the guys there used to be). The only times I've seen them smile or greet patrons were when they seemed to know the patrons (presumably from previous experience)...or maybe I just have a resting bitch face that pushed them away. 😅 But I would have still offed a few of the guys there, hopefully in another trip. To be continued...1 point

From Pattaya Mail proposal to tax foreign income next year could end up in court By Barry Kenyon A former chairman of Baker McKenzie, the influential legal services firm based in Bangkok, has suggested that the controversial Thai Revenue announcement could be contested in court. Kitipong Urapeepattanapong, as reported in Thai Examiner, said that the Revenue was reinterpreting an existing code which has been in operation for 38 years. It is neither a law nor an administrative or ministerial regulation and could well be challenged in court with a good chance of success. He argued that a new law or a royal decree was necessary in these circumstances. The Revenue last September issued a decree that, starting in January 2024, tax must be paid on income brought in from abroad from another jurisdiction no matter when the cash was generated. This changed the 1985 regulation that arriving income was only taxable if transferred in the same year it was earned. Many expats, probably most, are worried that the Revenue will start taxing them on income already taxed in the home country, mainly pensions and social security payments. If they live in Thailand for more than 180 days in a year, they are regarded as residents liable for taxation. Kitipong said that his standpoint was shared by other notables, including a former supreme court judge, although the Revenue would presumably argue that its recent statement is simply an enforcement decree which does not require parliamentary intervention. The whole issue joins many other doubts and ambiguities which continue to plague the whole subject. There is no doubt that the Revenue means to target principally Thais or foreigners who enjoy business profits abroad, are currency speculators or have funds in offshore accounts including Hong Kong. But the Revenue has remained silent for the past two months and claims to be collecting information from stakeholders. Law firm commentators in Bangkok divide into two groups. Some believe that typical expats have nothing to fear if living here on cash already taxed in the home country. They often quote double-taxation treaties which Thailand has made with around 60 countries. Others, however, point out that double-taxation treaties are all different and don’t necessarily reassure on points of concern currently spotlighted in Thailand. Not to mention the potential paperwork which expats might have to fill in annually to convince the Revenue of their exempted status. Some are suggesting that large sums should be transmitted to Thailand before the end of 2023. Meanwhile the waiting game for clear information drags on and on. The real answer, of course, is for Thailand to follow the example of Singapore and Hong Kong where the only income tax levied is on cash specifically earned in their own specific territories.1 point

What do you feel about wokeness in film and theater?
EmmetK reacted to Marc in Calif for a topic
Again, you don't read very widely about theatre. Steppenwolf Theatre announces staff cuts in the wake of falling revenue, drop in attendance Tony Award-winning Steppenwolf in Chicago -- probably the most honored regional theater in the U.S. -- recently imposed staff cuts and eliminated open positions. "Unfortunately, like many non-profit theaters across the country, Steppenwolf Theatre Company has been negatively impacted by a protracted post-pandemic economic recovery for our sector and the rising cost of inflation. To be sustainable well into the future has required some very difficult decisions. We found that factors keeping our subscribers from coming back included traffic concerns, safety concerns and not wanting to come into the city, and long-lasting COVID concerns." And of course it's happening all over the country: Many US theaters have been contending with similar financial challenges – namely decreasing donations, low attendance rates post-pandemic, and high production costs. Chicago’s Tony Award-winning Lookingglass Theatre has announced a year-long pause in new productions and layoffs impacting 50% of its staff. The Public Theater in New York City, one of the nation’s most prestigious and successful nonprofit theaters, laid off 19 percent of its staff in July as a financial crisis sweeps across the field. The move, which cost about 50 people their jobs, followed a 13 percent layoff (and program cuts) at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Smaller theaters and institutions such as the Oregon Shakespeare festival and the Dallas Theater Center also have dealt with similar cuts and cancellations. And of course it's also happening in Los Angeles, the home of "countless" (!!!) theatre companies: Theater is back, but its recovery is proving to be perilous (Los Angeles Times, May 11, 2022) — After nearly two years of pandemic closures, live theater has returned. But attendance is down and operational costs are soaring.... A recent study conducted by a group of arts organizations, L.A.'s Performing Arts and Reopening Survey, found three troubling trends: Both operating capacity and audience attendance are down to almost 50% of pre-pandemic levels, and ticket revenue is about one-third of what it was before COVID-19 struck. https://larchmontbuzz.com/larchmont-village-life/opinion-we-need-theater/ Local theater was fraught even before the pandemic with the 2019 passage of California AB5, which was meant to protect freelance artists but has decimated the economics of the “blackbox” theater community where new talent and productions traditionally percolate...1 point -

Department_Of_Agriculture reacted to unicorn for a topic
Well, I do agree that we should end border hysteria. I also agree that Finland could be more generous towards refugees given the much larger burden accepted by other EU nations (as well as the US). I suspect that anyone wiling and able to make such an arduous trek from Syria or wherever to Finland would probably end up being a highly productive member of Finnish society. I also have a suspicion that it's probably in its interest to accept refugee immigrants in order to sustain its population. Finnish citizens have the right to live and work in any EU country, and I imagine that a substantial proportion are more than eager to move to EU countries with less hostile climates. As a physician, if I were a Finnish citizen, I'd try to find a job in a more pleasant EU country such as Malta--or even France, Spain, or Italy.1 point -

Marc in Calif reacted to unicorn for a topic
Yes, that link does confirm that Russia does, indeed, have a fence all along its border with Norway: "...On the Norwegian side there are no physical hindrances on the border and it is permitted to move all the way to the border itself, except for Storskog, Skafferhullet, and some hydro power stations, where there are fences where roads reach the border. On the Russian side there is a fence located anywhere between 0 and 5 kilometers (0 and 3 mi) from the border. Although not electrified, it has sensors which will notify the border controllers if touched. The fence stretches the entire distance between the Barents Sea and the Gulf of Finland and was built during the Cold War to keep in the population of the Soviet Union. It remains the only barbed-wire fence along a Russian border in Europe...". The only reason @Moses's photo doesn't show a fence is that Russia's fence is often well inside its territory. It reminds me of the old Russian saying: @Moses большой лжец.1 point -

The word "blame" isn't correct in this context. The correct word is "compare." We're totally free to do that. 😎 And if you don't know the answer to your question, I'll give you a clue: The Beer Bar is for discussion topics. There are no rules, regulations, or guidelines that limit those discussions in any way. That's why posts in a given topic can range freely. Members are free to "relate" certain themes, ideas, or even words as they wish. So your word "terrified" prompted certain members to associate that word as they desired. The fact that you don't like how they further used your word "terrified" makes absolutely no difference at all. Or are you trying to limit and regulate free discussion? That's how the media in Pooty Poot's Dictatorship also work! You're just following the Russian pattern. 😘1 point -

Funny how if anyone is terrified it is clearly President Putin. After all, he is guarded day and night and travels on his own special luxurious armoured bulletproof train. All of his residences are lilnked by railway lines enabling him to reach them on this train. With the invasion of Ukraine, he is afrad to travel by plane. Former bodyguards for Russian President Vladimir Putin have gained immense power in exchange for their unquestioned loyalty. Many have also accumulated vast wealth, exemplifying how Russia’s newly ascendant class has exploited a system meant to protect the old. An investigation by Novaya Gazeta, in partnership with the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, shows who paid the price: more than 1,100 ordinary people who had worked for decades on a giant poultry plant outside Moscow. Some were decorated World War II veterans whom the Soviet Union had promised lifetime employment and pensions. But in the newly independent Russian Federation, there can be no such guarantees. During the 1990s, these workers say, a small clique of powerful businessmen and criminals used manipulation, forgery, intimidation, and even beatings to seize their land. The dozens of hectares were then divided into smaller plots and eventually doled out to a cohort newly empowered by Putin: officers in the Federal Guard Service and the Presidential Security Service. The above is part of a long article pubished by Novaya OCCRP, Russia in 2019. In the light of @Moses comments on the looks of those around Biden, who looks terrified here - both men! Putin and Viktor Zolotov, the Director of the National Guard! Yes, it's interesting focusing on Biden and his age when we have a psychopath in charge of Russia and a sociopath who will be the next Republican nominee as long as he can destroy enough of the US legal system to keep him out of jail. Biden is too old yet he still talks more sense than Putin or Trump. Dems are risking a lot though. Thanks for clarifying the board thing. Could have sworn when the board went down for a few days they were waiting on you to do some stuff but I was obviously wrong. I don't visit the other boards these days.1 point

This happened one month ago in 1st week of October. I was in Bangkok for a weekend. Took evening flight from Singapore. Once I checked into room at Le Meridien, off I went at 9.30pm to Hotmale Beer Bar downstairs to meet with forum member whom I haven't met for two years ever since Covid. New bar Sol directly opposite had some yummy shirtless guys hanging around once their rotation on stage ended. Was very tempted by blonde guy in photo but surprisingly, I didn't step into any gogo bar during my 3 nights. I shall explain why later. Sorry @vinapu for not being able to report on the show or the guys in Sol.1 point

I was only with my "cha nuoi" for one night. My second night was spent with a new and very charming Myanmar waiter. 22 years only. He speaks good English. In the hotel room, I noticed the counterfeit Calvin Klein briefs he wears. I offered to buy him the original CK briefs when I go to Bangkok again in December. "Size M. Only white colour please, thank you so much," he replied. We had an enjoyable night followed by round two in morning before breakfast. I enjoyed his company so much that I took him off again on my third and final night during this short visit to Bangkok.1 point

Besides fellow forum member, I also got reacquainted with a Vietnamese guy that I knew from the days of Soi Twilight. He decided to go back to Ha Tinh in Vietnam about one year before Covid and I had been sending him money and supporting him. I call him "cha nuoi" (godson) while he calls me "kon nuoi" (godpa). He was doing ok for a while with the money I sent him but Covid hit and things really went bad in Ha Tinh. He struggled to find full time job after Covid and had to take on odd jobs to survive. Finally, he decided to come to Bangkok to work. He didn't want to work at gogo bar so he is working in packing and delivery in day. But it only pays 600 baht per day so at night, he turns up at Dreamboys and gets 200 baht for going on stage. He says he rarely gets customers because there are so many guys on stage and he is older than the rest (he's only 27!) I told him that there's guys older than him at Dreamboys! He also theorises that it's because he's so dark due to working in the sun. He meets me at Hotmale Beer Bar downstairs. He had texted me in advance: "You no go my bar. Today I no go work so you no need buy drink and pay bar money take me hotel". Once in hotel, I had a shock. There were elaborate tattoos on his back. He didn't have them before. "Why you no tell me?" I asked. He admitted sheepishly that he thought I might not like them. But I think he's indirectly admitting that he felt guilty for spending the money I sent to him in Vietnam on such tattoos. "It's ok. You are my cha nuoi." And with that, we spent the night 5 years after we last saw each other.1 point

Finland Closes 4 Russian Border Crossings
Department_Of_Agriculture reacted to Moses for a topic
This Ru-Fi "border story" is totally political propaganda buzz. FRONTEX reports 331 600 cases on EU borders at last 10 months. https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/news/frontex-331600-irregular-border-crossings-recorded-in-first-10-months-of-2023-highest-since-2015/ From 331 600 cases less than 4000 (about 1% ) happens on "Eastern Land Border" - i.e. on 2500 km of border of Russia with Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Poland all together. Finish border hysteria is just part of political propaganda against Russia. Balkan border: Finland border:-1 points -
Thailand will be my home in late 2024

I won't be replying to any further comments on this thread. It is a shame forum discipline doesn't work in this forum and threads go off topic. I have not asked for advice on buying houses I have never mentioned I am buying a house I don't need to be told where to live or what I should be doing. I started this thread to find out if anyone else might find themselves in the same region as me next year. One person has been in touch and for that, thank you. As for the rest of you going on about undercover police and things not related to my original post....... Forget it, I am done with this thread.-1 points
