I recently had a chance to try some places in Osaka and Tokyo. https://kids-jp.com/en/tk/s/ http://lang.dgdgdg.com/top.php https://en.hi-na.com All of the above were easy to talk to via email in English. Response times varied as did quality of communication. I would say Independence was the best of the three in terms of speed and system. They have this whole chat system that opens up when you make a booking where you can communicate. Everyone I met was better looking than their photos and bodies were sometimes leaner than they appeared but I was never disappointed. Most guys had at least enough English to ask simple questions, some could have decent conversations with aid of translator apps. they all had near identical systems. A house like venue with a discreet protocol where you are taken in so as to avoid other customers. Quite different to the congratulatory shouting you might receive when exiting a bar in Bangkok. You will be charged, thoroughly showered and then festivities begin. All the guys had cheerful personalities and some were even quite quirky or funny. No rude attitudes at all. Compared to Bangkok, I thought it was very easy and I liked having a ‘menu’ to choose from. Its less fun than a bar but if you’re traveling for other activities and just want easy and discreet fun away from other travel buddies that you can organise from your phone, it’s great. For the quality of service and attractiveness of the guys, I think they’re also very cheap. At least compared to western countries. Definitely recommend!5 points

Day 6: Went thrift shopping in platinum mall. surprised by the absence of the previous stalls who usually cater for bigger guys. most of the stalls would say xl/xxl cannot fit me, so I didn't try to fit the items for sale. just bought a few items as souviners to be given to friends back home. I also went to central and found a sale on some footwear, quickly video chatted a friend who was into shoes to get his opinion, and bought 2 pairs, 1 for me and 1 for him. I read somewhere that Big C was cruisy, so I tried my luck and BINGO!!! it was scary though as I read there were undercover cops who one might mistaken as a cruiser. it went pretty wild, which was quite worrisome . one guy even has a poppers which I read was supposedly illegal??? I think I have taken over 20k steps today according to my smartwatch. As it was getting dark, I decided I badly need a massage. I went to prime bringing along all the stuffs I bought for the day. I availed of their 90 minute oil massage. I was ushered into a different building as the main one was already full. The massage was ok and relaxing. I would've preferred more heavy pressure, but I was too tired to tell the masseur. I know this is a no hanky panky place, but he seemed ok with my hands grazing his crotch "accidentally" while he massage my forearms. After the massage, he offered me to shower in a separate room and later gave me hot tea and towel. I tipped him 300 baht which he accepted happily. I am not sure if it was too much or too little for a clean massage. After the massage, I took my shopping stuffs and proceeded to Tawan. The very handsome and tall tout with a tribal tattoo on his forearm welcomed me. He could be a model in Moonlight or Jupiter if he wanted to. He asked if I would like to keep my shopping stuffs outside, which I happily agreed to. When I entered the bar, they were about to start the show. As there were already people seated on the front of the stage, they offered me a seat hear the cocktail bar. In hindsight it was a good position as I can freely grope the guys (with tips of course) before they enter the stage. Saw some old timers from yore. Regarding the twinks though, these are not the k-pop cutey or effeminate variety. They are nearing the roughness of the guys in nice guys. After the show, I claimed by shopping bags from Mr. S (the tout that I tipped for the chicken supper earlier in the trip). He offered to bring the bags to Surawong and hailed a taxi for me. After I climb in, I tipped him 100 baht for the nice gesture. Not sure if the taxi driver saw it, but surprisingly the taxi driver was kind enough to bring my bags to the lobby. I felt so rich hahaha. So I tipped him for the extra service. No, it's not what you're thinking.4 points

The impetus for the raid may have little to do with they type of venue but rather reflects the priorities of the new commissioner general who spent 17 years of his career in the Crime Suppression Division. His selection caught some of the old guard in the usual line of succession to the top. This profile article from Thai PBS World brings his career into focus. Torsak Sukvimol: The controversial rise of Thailand’s new police chief Thailand’s new police chief, Pol General Torsak Sukvimol, is a non-cadet who joined the force at the age of 33, but then quickly rose through the ranks. Israel And The Palestinians: A Nightmare In Desperate Search Of A Solution
Ruthrieston and 2 others reacted to unicorn for a topic
I do agree in this case, since there was no immediate threat. However, in the case of missile launch sites and munitions storage areas placed under schools and hospitals, that's on Hamas, since potentially many Israeli civilian lives are at stake. I would think, however, that taking out dozens of civilians to kill one military leader probably does represent a war crime. If it doesn't, it should. That goes beyond decency. Just because Hamas behaves like animals shouldn't given the IDF the green light to do whatever they feel like with no accountability.3 points -
“They’re not coming after you,” says expert on taxing foreign cash
KeepItReal and one other reacted to reader for a topic
From Pattaya Mail By Barry Kenyon Speaking to a packed meeting of Pattaya City Expat Club, Thomas Carden advised worried expats living here on cash already taxed in the home country not to panic. The managing director of the Bangkok-based AITaxAdvisers said the Thai authorities had no intention to punish typical retirees or foreigners married to Thais or bringing up families. Moreover, the double-taxation agreements between Thailand and 61 countries – which included all those represented at the club meeting including the US and the UK – were an added safeguard. However, Mr Carden did stress that the Thai revenue authority would need to ascertain who had taxable income in Thailand and who didn’t. Therefore, it was likely at some future date that all foreign tax residents – those living in Thailand for more than 180 days in any one year – would need a Thai revenue TIN (tax identification number) and be required to fill in an annual tax return. He speculated that the tax number might become part of the immigration application process for one-year extensions of stay. This was the obvious way to separate the foreign sheep (who had no taxable income here) from the foreign goats (who did). The managing director explained that the idea of taxing foreign income in Thailand was nothing new. The only difference with the latest Thai revenue rule was that income transferred in any future tax year from January 1 2024 would be liable for tax, whereas the old clause restricted any due tax to cash brought in specifically during the same tax year it was earned. Thus the main idea will be to capture untaxed cash in future which might have been lying for ages in banks abroad or in offshore havens. Mr Carden pointed out that the scheme could even be delayed until January 2025 because no new law had been passed. Rather, the revenue authority had updated its own regulation. Mr Carden doubted that anything significant would happen before or during January 2024. He suggested that the new Thai government loved the idea of raising mega-cash by proactive taxation, but had significantly underestimated the problems inherent in complex financial data. Thus clarification about details would likely be delayed several months, of course assuming there is a revenue intention to issue any sort of fact sheet. His advice to worried expats is to do absolutely nothing until told clearly to take some action. “Even if tax is due on some income in 2024, the tax form to collect it won’t be due for completion until 2025.” Following the presentation, Robert Chadwick from Business Class Asia gave a secondary talk about buying property abroad, mainly mortgages for American purchases.2 points -

During the years 2004 to 2010 I remember raids by the bib were fairly common particularly in Sunee. If you were present the routine was to divest yourself of any boy with you and sit quietly while they checked boys I’d cards and possibly performed drug tests. Normally you would be allowed to leave without difficulty early in the proceedings.2 points -

I guess you're not the brightest bulb, I asked you to re-read your original post: Ok, so you've admitted that this happens frequently enough that you can recognize the symptoms quickly....WTF, how often you've been infected/infected others before learning to use a condom? So here, you try to sound concerned for the other guys, what a load of shit, if they are anonymous how do you let them know if you tested positive? Do you get tested after every encounter, smh Is he really? Pep is only 66% effective at best with long term problems still unknown. "It's not the first time I've had one (usually one of the three : syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea), I know quickly because I usually have strong symptoms that I quickly recognise as it's always in the throat." You can try to say whatever about me, I've been contributing a lot longer here, and good or bad, arrogant or jokester........I've admitted when I was wrong or mistaken, so far you've only made assumptions and name called....stick to the original question and my response, no need to go off in all other directions, that's my thing, lol2 points -
From Amnesty International Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine was accompanied by escalating repression against dissent within Russia. Peaceful anti-war protests were dispersed, often forcibly, and those speaking out against the war faced prosecution. New legislation was introduced restricting protests and the activities of NGOs and civil society activists. Prosecutions of Jehovah’s Witnesses continued. Torture and other ill-treatment remained endemic in places of detention. Abductions and enforced disappearances continued to be reported in Chechnya. Fair trial standards were repeatedly violated. Conscientious objectors were refused alternative civilian service. New legislation further stigmatized and discriminated against LGBTI people.2 points

As promised, reporting back I have to admit that tawan bar was not my cup of tea. Guys are indeed huge, but the focus was on sex rather than muscle worship / stripping etc. I was naive to think that the show would be a bit more innocent - but The crowd seemed to like it .. I left after around 30min as i was not into it so i cannot comment on the content of the entire show. Also the guys kept pushing for tips going around with a tip bucket which felt quite pushy. staff at the door were super kind and friendly as described by everybody on here.2 points -

Putting my views into context, ten years ago, after a bad experience with cabin crew in Royal Laurel (mileage upgrade), I stopped flying with EVA having flown with them 23 times LHR-BKK-LHR. With both Air France and Cathay Pacific wanting ridiculous fares for this August I swallowed my pride and flew with them again. Looking at the stats for the last 90 days or so, it does seem that this is a somewhat simplistic analysis by flightstats.com Many of the flights, if not most, were delayed at that awful place Heathrow. To what extent that was the fault of EVA we don't know but I suspect that Heathrow had a lot to do with it. The other interesting feature is a comparison between the scheduled time and the actual average flight time. It's very easy to pad the scheduled time and many airlines do so in a dishonest fashion. British Airways, on internal flights, comes to mind. All EVA had to do was to add 30 minutes to the scheduled time and the problem goes away. They are being more honest than many airlines.2 points -
Raid on Dream Boys Pattaya
Marc in Calif and one other reacted to reader for a topic
Normally they’d be fined and required to leave because they’re not here legally. Unless they had prior history of violations they would not usually be banned from returning at later date. Prostitution is difficult to prove and that’s not the objective police commonly have in these types of raids. Evidence of gambling, illegal workers and licensing issues is easily obtained. Here’s excerpt from Pattaya News article: According to reports, the gambling suspects were charged with gambling. The ten migrant workers faced charges for working illegally. The bar operator, on the other hand, was charged for hiring illegal migrant workers and also operating an entertainment venue without the necessary license but was not immediately identified. https://thepattayanews.com/2023/11/01/pattaya-gogo-bar-raid-finds-suspected-gamblers-and-alleged-illegal-migrant-workers-say-police/2 points -

Moses reacted to stevenkesslar for a topic
Thanks for posting that @Moses. At the very least, you have demonstrated how bad I suck at being verbose. My posts are like bumper stickers compared to that. I did read the whole thing. It's obviously a very one-sided take on an intractable struggle and human rights nightmare. But I agree with most of the principles Mokhiber articulates. And I also agree with @reader. Please send a copy to Murderous Vlad, as well, @Moses. He might get some pointers on his genocide in Ukraine. Fair is fair. As compelling as the UN and Angelina Jolie are, I'll add an article by Mark Penn I read yesterday. I think it really captured why this is a sad and probably unfixable tragedy, in a way Penn didn't intend. Before I get to Mark Penn's defense of Israel, and Hillary Clinton's hawkishness, let me focus on a fact that is a clear "Fuck you Biden, fuck you Israel, fuck you apartheid lovers" statement. Anyone who does not want Trump, The Sequel in 2024 should be scared shitless by clear facts that are emerging. Young and old Americans are now completely split on Israel. The latest YouGov poll asks people who they sympathize with more, Israelis or Palestinians. In both cases, 23 % say both equally. But older voters (over 65) who are the core of Trump's support break 65/5 on supporting Israel over Palestinians. Younger voters under 30, the voters who will make or break Biden's re-election, break for Palestinians 30/17. The vast majority of older voters (82 %) say it is important or very important to help Israel. Only 38 % of younger voters agree. A plurality of younger voters (43 %) say it is not too important, or not important at all, to help Israel. ' Fuck you apartheid Israel. Fuck you Biden, for supporting Israel. The young voters who see it this way are the people that Biden desperately needs to win. Let me repeat. Fuck you, apartheid Israel. Fuck you Biden, for supporting Israel. How is this going to work out in 2024? Many young Americans feel that Netayahu is a sadistic genocidal monster who is perfectly happy to kill countless innocent Palestinian women and children. And subject all of them to cruelty and apartheid, in order to make sure there is never a Palestinian state. They're not going to be persuaded that somehow opposing apartheid makes them anti-Semitic. But let's forget about the extreme and the outspoken. As predicted, now that the great promoter of Hamas, Bibi Netanyahu, has busted loose with his bombs and inhumane cruelty, more and more people are willing to see Israel the way young Americans do. Last month, Oct 14-17, when YouGov asked the question for the first time, a plurality of 32 % of Americans said Israel's response to Hamas was just about right. 23 % said not harsh enough, and 19 % said too harsh. That's right after a mass slaughter of innocent Jewish women and kids. Now, a month later, right after a mass slaughter of innocent Muslim women and kids, 27 % say Israel's response is just about right. 23 % say too harsh and 19 % say not harsh enough. Last month, only 9 % of young voters said Israel wasn't being harsh enough. That has now dropped to 3 %, with a plurality of 36 % of young voters saying Israel is being too harsh. I've been saying Israel has lost a pro-Israel US majority. That's not true among the oldest Americans. Among the youngest Americans, though, it's actually worse. Israel is now viewed less favorably than Palestinians. And Biden is telling these voters "fuck you" on a ceasefire. Which most Americans, but especially most younger Americans, want him to press Israel on. It's 1000 % clear that Biden can't tell Israel what to do. That said, this sounds like 1968 to me. We even have Robert Kennedy running again, who is getting double digits in every poll and will probably help elect Trump. Fuck you, Biden. Fuck you, Biden. Fuck you, Biden. Go be LBJ. You back Israel, and we won't bother to vote for you. That is the message I hear emerging in poll after poll from young US voters. The good news for the great Hamas builder, Bibi Netanyahu, is that he'd rather have Trump, anyway. 🙄 He'll gin up his slaughter machine and Trump won't give a shit, knowing his older supporters mostly agree with Israel being as harsh as possible. A Ceasefire for Hamas? Penn's article is thoughtful and worth reading the whole way through. Had that been written 20 years ago, I would have wholeheartedly agreed with him. In fact, it was written 20 years ago. Not literally. But all the key data he cites is about that old. With the single most important point being that Arafat rejected peace when it was offered by Israel, with a heavy lift by Bill Clinton. Arafat said he'd be killed by the Hamas brand of radicals if he agreed to peace. In fact, few leaders in my lifetime have been killed for seeking peace. The main one that comes to mind is Rabin. And that just makes Arafat looks like the worthless and weak piece of shit he was. So when I was a young US voter, I fully agreed with Penn and the Clintons. But all of the things I am talking about happened 25 to 30 years ago. If Penn wants to talk about Hillary Clinton's righteous hawkishness, we might mention that her big idea to liberate Libya happened over a decade ago. It still hasn't worked out very well. So how does this support the idea that we just need to stay on a course that has led to decades of endless bloodbaths? Young voters were not even born when much of this happened. And what they seem to mostly see is the bloodbaths. So Penn is living in a past that no longer exists. Except in the minds of older Americans like me. His view of Israel doesn't fit with what young voters see on TikTok today. It's fair to say many of them see a genocidal monster killing lots of innocent people. I'm talking about you, Bibi. The fact that Penn's argument is so tired and stale and useless was especially clear in the paragraph where he basically compares Bibi Netanyahu to .........................wait for it........................ Abraham Lincoln!!!??? It's actually the point. Penn argues that demanding a ceasefire during the US Civil War would be like asking for slavery to stand. The word "slavery" is pushing it too far. But replace it with the word "apartheid," and that is the point. Many young voters do see Biden's rejection of a ceasefire as backing Bibi's policies of apartheid and cruelty. The clear logic of a ceasefire, which most Americans support, is that more violence and bloodbath is a formula for more Hamas and more Bibi, not less. Why don't we instead try something else? I'm with young voters on that. What Penn made even clearer to me is that we have a massive and probably fatal leadership problem. Fareed Zakaria said it most succinctly in the long interview of him I posted above. He said he sympathizes very much with the Palestinian people. He does not sympathize with Palestinian leaders at all. I agree. But for a long time I've felt exactly the same about Israel. They have a sadistic, worthless, Hamas building leader who has rejected peace, too. If you need someone to blame for that, Israel, blame Bibi. It is telling and truthful that polls right now say many if not most Israeli Jews actually do blame Bibi. I would like to think that Biden is the kind of leader that could create peace, like Bill Clinton came close to. But, if I'm being honest with myself in a way Penn is not, it ain't gonna work. You can't have peace when you have Hamas on the one side and Netanyahu on the other. It's not at all clear that Israelis actually even want peace anymore. The growing force of ultra-Orthodox Israeli Jews who back Bibi clearly don't. So, more likely, Biden will be the transitional Democratic leader who once again failed to deliver peace. Whether Biden will also fail to get re-elected next year, in part because young voters reject or simply don't care about his leadership, like he rejected a ceasefire, is a very good question right now. The next US President who is a Democrat will be much younger. And much less tied at the hip with Israel. There is no clear prospect for how Israel or the Palestinians get leadership - from Israel, Palestinians, the US, or anywhere - that can even come close to delivering peace. Perhaps @Moses could ask Vlad to lend a hand? Then again, that probably won't work out so well, either. So, for now, it will just be bloodbath. Tragic. It won't help Biden in 2024. And it may help end his Presidency.1 point -

I have returned to Thailand with Eva from London , used my miles to upgrade from their premium economy to royal laurel business class well worth it in my opinion. Staying at Baan Souy again which I suggest is excellent, great rooms, decent location between boys town and jomtien, no problem returning with "company" almost expected, lovely pool and gym and fantastic hosts and team at the hotel, I cant recommend enough! On first evening met a boy from Toy boys I met before, the bar had maybe 30 boys in pants and good mix, I think a drink was about 280 THB but a good bar we had some food at nearby Fra Pattaya always excellent! On Sunday bars all closed for holiday I met my friend from Saturday again, had stacked up the fridge in my room from nearby 7/11 so we enjoyed the amazing pool a few beers at hotel, then walked to nearby market at Jomtien near entrance to jomtien park. If you like excellent Thai food an amazing selection, all good and very cheap, they were also "turning a blind eye" to drink restrictions! So Monday night went to explain little..... Dream boys - maybe 15 boys all in jeans but no shirt and a fair mix but other than one of the slimmer style x boys - again maybe 15 all in pants but more slim type so nothing that appealed to me! New bar site of old Cupid next to panorama maybe 12 boys with a bit of a mix, all in just pants. BOYZ Boyz..... Probably 40 plus but all pretty fully dressed ...... In the main Aimed to be catering for Chinese lady cliental all be it Very welcoming to me! I met a boy from the old Cupid, nice evening but early night as hopefully a friend from Bangkok is arriving Tuesday and joining me for a few days in Pattaya before we both return to Bangkok!1 point

Boeing was no doubt thrilled that it would get the contract to build the replacement for the US President's Air Force 1 747-200 aircraft. Well, actually, it's two aircraft, one the mirror image of the other. The new ones will be modified versions of the last of the 747 line - the 800 series with the additional extension to the upper deck. Normally with military projects, the Air Force would be charged on a cost basis plus an agreed profit margin. Thanks to Donald Trump's intervention (I suppose we can at least thank him for one positive decision), he objected to the extimated cost of $4 billion per plane. As a result Boeing agreed to reduce the price to that from the Government Accountability Office of $3.2 billion. Now the company is ruing its obeissance to the President-elect. Cost overruns mount year after year. This year $482 million was added to the loss, bringing the total to more than $2 billion. As Boeing's CEO Dave Calhoun stated last year, "A very unique set of risks that Boeing probably shouldn't have taken." Boeing is still reporting losses on its commercial businesses - in all but two quarters since early 2019. Last week, it was another $1.1 billion, worse than that predicted by analysts. It still pins its short-term hopes on the 737 Max and the 787 with the much-hyped 777X still further delayed. With design started in 2011, Lufthansa became the first alrline to place an order for the 777X: for 34 of the aircraft. By 2019 it had reduced its commitment to just 6 aircraft. Commerical introduction was originally planned for 2019. That is now not expected until 2025 at the earliest. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/10/25/business/air-force-one-boeing-loss/index.html?dicbo=v2-ZNebZ1y&iid=ob_mobile_article_footer_expansion1 point

Lonely Planets' Recommended Travel Lists
Ruthrieston reacted to PeterRS for a topic
Yes, "lists" is correct. Not content with just a list of the ten best places to visit, Lonely Planey outdoes its competitors with five separate lists. The Best Travel 2024 list has no less than five different categories - Countries, Regions, Cities, Sustainable Travel and Best Value. Results are in many cases surprising. Best Country is Mongolia. Now I wonder if that country is even included in any other list! Best Region is Western Balkans Trans Dinarica Cycling Route. Well, and what if I don't fancy cycling? You'll probably prefer #5, Southern Thailand. Best City is Nairobi. Huh? Not for gay travellers. it ain't. Homosexuality can be punished by between 5 and 21 years in jail. Stick to #2 which is Paris - as long as you can avoid the bedbugs LOL Best Sustainable Destination is Spain. This is largely because of the country's efforts to expand renewable energy and bring tourism to hitherto emerging areas. I totaly agree with £2 on the list - Argentinean and Chilean Patagonia. Sorry if this is repeating photos, but I utterly adored my trip there way back in 2010. Torres del Paine National Park with great views from the mega-expensive Explora Hotel Guanocos are watching you! Perito Moreno Glacier Best Value is the USA's Mid West. Well I suppose if you take a gun with you, maybe so. The blurb stresses the cities of Chicago, Milwaukee and Detroit. Huh? Chicago is cheap? Not when I have been there! https://edition.cnn.com/travel/lonely-planets-top-places-to-go-in-2024/index.html1 point -
Bangkok adventures, observations and dilemmas

True. Boy bars in Japan have very strict time limits and extra payments if you go over. No doubt that's because they were waiting for you to invite them for a meal at your 7-star Foodland restaurant 🤣1 point -
From the Thaiger A maid discovered the dead body of a foreign man with stab wounds to the neck in a hotel room in Phuket. There were no signs of theft or struggle. A substance similar to crystal meth was found in the bathroom. The hotel maid reported her shocking discovery to officers at Cheng Talay Police Station at around 9.30am yesterday, October 30. She revealed that she had walked past the hotel room and was hit by a foul odour coming from inside. The maid said Jarez never locked his room and only allowed the maid to clean when he wanted. She knocked on the door but received no response, so she decided to enter the room and found the body. Police searched the room and found two passports, one US and one Costa Rican, which identified the deceased as 35 year old Daniel James Artus Jarez. It was anticipated that Jarez died several days before his discovery as his body was in a state of decomposition. Jarez had four stab wounds to the left side of his neck, and a 25-centimetre combat knife with a needlepoint was found near his body. There were no signs of theft at the scene and Jarez’s belongings left in the room included a laptop, a tablet, two mobile phones, passports, four backpacks, four pieces of luggage, diving equipment, Muay Thai sportswear and 6,000 baht in cash. Officers also found a substance similar to crystal meth in a plastic zip-lock bag, cannabis and drug paraphernalia. However, police refrained from confirming whether the substance was indeed an illicit drug.1 point

The police decided Halloween would be a good night to roam thru Patpong checking for illegal workers. Police came in from Surawong and workers ran out Silom side. About 9 police gone and most workers returned. Also between about 7-8 there was a power failure. Much of Patpong 2 in the dark. And for those of you that don’t like loud music, there was none for about an hour.1 point

Trip report October and November

3 bars just pants, 1 bar fully dressed. As far as go-go goes I wonder how long it will last. I don't mind paying 400-500 for drink to look at boys in jeans but only once per trip to see what's going on.1 point -
October 2023 Trip Report - Bangkok and Pattaya

Oh my God ! You meant that old guy in thick glasses just died ? He was fixture there for time immemorial and very nice guy at that. That is sad indeed. I like your attitude about comparing prices. You right some are paying too much attention to what in reality is very minor difference in price and even less when they consider transit prices in their own countries. Sure it may be principle but for me seem to be way too principled to look for baht bus across the street for 10 baht when one can be taken to hotel without hassle for 50-60. Comparison of Hot Male with Tawan is brilliant, each bar has own advantages you clearly pointed out . I'm sure boys were grateful if you tipped every one of them for their troubles, likely more boys then spectators on that night. 7/11 and corner of Suriwong and soi Tawan are known places where some Tawan boys are socializing after bar is closed and on more that one occasion I managed to snatch one of them for all night prayers in my room. But they also managed to humiliate me once when three of them summarily refused to go with me , one because he doesn't do long time and other two because they wanted too generous compensation which I politely declined and refused to consider following suggested reduced rate, yes on principle. that sign reader posted must be new as I don't recall it either and must say it's great idea as draws attention no doubt.1 point -
Day 5: Trip back to Bangkok was uneventful. I used a motorcycle taxi to go to the north Pattaya bus terminal for 60 Baht - more expensive than the baht bus I took when I arrived. This might trigger some folks because of their principle. but I find it, when vacationing, don't let these little matters ruin your stay and just use the Thai's mai pen rai attitude and go with the flow. I decided to skip Tawan tonight and go to other bars in patpong. And based on responses from this board i.e. @vinapu I went straight to hotmale around 930pm. On the way to hot male, I passed by that small soi going to moonlight, and there was the tout which I recognised as one of the guys in Tawan. He has matured a bit, but still very handsome. I had some small talk with him as it seemed to be a slow night before moving on to Hotmale. I was shocked by the stark contrast this bar (Hotmale) has with Tawan. They guys acted professionally - you can't see any of them on their phones. I later found out they deposit their phones in a tray similar to that of high school students in Korea before going on stage. So what you see on stage are guys fully focused on flirting with the audience. They also wear red sweat pants whereas Tawan guys mostly wear sexy bikinis with some wearing jockstraps with the occasional dare of going au naturel. They also don't go to the audience uninvited unlike Tawan, so getting to know them a bit better before you actually invite them for a drink is impossible. it was a weekday so there were less than 5 of us. it was a bit awkward for me looking their way as they flirt with me to invite them to sit with me. but I was there for 1 thing only - big cock show. The show started promptly at 1030pm. I was actually starting to think they wouldn't have any show as there were only 5 people in the audience. There were some amateurish acts that they accomplished. it was painful to watch the guy doing the soccer theme number as one can see he was truly doing his best, but he was no dancer and the choreography was forced. after all these song and dance number, I thought that that was it - no nudity, just a bunch of sexy show. but I was wrong, they're last number was indeed what I was waiting for. they have Indian costume for reasons that escapes me, but their big cocks are in full attention. they did go around the audience, so I asked the mamasan to quickly change the 1000 baht bill I have. he was quick to do it and the guys started to line up to me as there were only a couple in the audience that was interested on a quick see. after all has been inspected, they all went up to stage for a final bow. I decided to go back to the hotel, I passed by the 7/11 and found some of the Tawan guys sitting around the area as the Tawan has also closed for the night. Mr N recognised me and meekly asked if I wanted to treat them for some supper - that was what I understand from his broken English. I wasn't really sleepy despite the trip from Pattaya, so I said yes and he called a couple of his chums to go with us. During supper, he dropped a bomb that the long time manager (beret guy) has just died and that in 3 days it will be cremated in the temple. After supper we went our separate ways with a promise that I will be at Tawan tomorrow.1 point

Muscle Worship Bangkok

I am on my way back from London for a week in Pattaya then a week in Bangkok, I probably like similar to you! Tawan is super friendly, just go in pay entrance fee which includes first drink, chat to any guy you like and enjoy, just agree what you want should you decide to off one but most are really decent! Worth also checking Jupiter, ( suggest sit to LHS of stage opposite where you enter as boys congregate there between their stage walk!) Moonlight, Dream boys and probably any of them as all have a good mix and most have some with a bit of ripped muscle! Also Arena massage very good and I think Prince has re opened, was closed on my last couple of visits post COVID but always used to have a great selection! I can't wait to escape Heathrow shortly for my flight to Bangkok, hope you have fun!1 point -
no need to be apprehensive , Tawan in my opinion is friendliest bar, guys may even approach you and if you invite them for a drink, go as far as let you discreetly explore their goods , Being nervous on the first visit is normal and I venture to say most of us were. In worst / shyest case scenario on the first night you just go there, have a drink and see the realm, next night you will feel more domesticated and no doubt braver. Too bad I'm not there , I'd be happy to be your companion on your first evening in Tawan1 point
