  1. Day 3: trip to Pattaya. I was wondering which bus station would be more convenient for me mo chit or ekkamai, but decided on the later as I was nearer from the number of BTS station. I learned my lesson before on taking the vans which does not stop by the north Pattaya bus terminal, so I only take the rai reung (???) bus. the seats were a little worn out with the seat pockets missing, but everything else was working. I was surprised to learn they have a toilet at the end of the bus. After reaching north Pattaya bus station I switch to the songthew pickup trucks. this part was funny, as people were going up for the ride and later going down after deciding they have better options. I was charged 50 Baht to my hotel at the start of Beach Road, but the 3 south asian guys were haggling with the driver to lower it to 30 Baht. Then there's a family of 3 that the driver was charging 250 Baht, which I assume because their destination was further away. Wish they was just a standard price for this to avoid all these hassles. After settling to my hotel, I went to terminal 21 for some grub. I was surprised by the affordable prices at pier 21. I didn't expect a high end mall to have affordable food court prices. Checked out their facilities but no action to report on. In the evening, I walked around boyztown, and only the 2 bars near BBB , and BBB themselves seems to have guys on stage. X-boys and A-bomb seems to do an on-demand thing - that's how bad the customer distribution is, at least during my stay in Pattaya. I walked to sunee at reached nice boys around 930pm. when I arrived there were already 4 customers with few of boys seated with the customers. the farang customer was quite generous with tips, which I think might have increased the boy's expectations for the tips. but no matter it was still cheaper than Bangkok. A quick fondle for 100 Baht, and if he sits and comes 500 Baht, plus a couple of drinks. Maybe it would normalise as before when there are fewer customers. After enjoying the guy's show, I took the motorcycle taxi (40 Baht) to boyztown to catch the 1030pm show. I miscalculated the time to reach boyztown, so I arrived a bit early. I decided to survey the other soi for the other gaybars, but it was almost the same when I visited a few hours before. I decided to enter the BBB, and as a lone non-farang customer was given the seat at the back. unfortunately, there was no muscle boy on stage that night. I tried to message muscle guys before, but his messaging app was set on quiet mode. there was one buff guy in the bboy group, but I doubt that he can be offed. the Kpop looking guys was popular with the group of ladies though, and was asked to sit with them. they stopped giving the complimentary pop corn, instead they have a guy selling snacks (nuts/chips) at around 100 Baht. They have a tad more cabaret acts than what I liked, some of them lip-syncing to slow songs - so it was a bore. I noticed that the performers with their cocks out, go around the audience after every performance - not just after the big cock show, but after every performance. so even when I was at the back, they didn't neglect me and my 100 Baht tips. it was also here when I noticed a performer approached me with a 20 Baht tip in his hat - did I tip too much? After the 1230am show BBB bar closed and they invited customers to move to Boystation which they market as a disco. I took the song teow back to my hotel for 100 Baht, with the driver originally asking for 150.

  2. Day 2: I awoke early, perhaps not accustomed to the new timezone I am in and the new bed that the hotel provided. I just lay in bed until around 10am and decided to go around Lumpini park to stretch my legs. The major structures in the park seem to be in renovation mode with most of them cordoned off the public. I passed by the public gym, but doesn't seem to have the usual cruisy vibes as years before. After a quick walk around the park, I decided to try my luck again on the silom complex facilities. This time though, I think I was too early for the action. I walked back to the new silom edge building, and found that they offer relatively affordable food court fare in their basement despite the relatively up scale eateries on the other floors. They also have a public shower facilities on the 2nd floor. I had a quick lunch at their basement level for less than 100 baht. I noticed I was running low in cash, so decided to head on to x-one in Suriwong. They have a mobile app, so it was easy to compare the rates of the different money exchange along the way. So far it seems to have the best rate. Along the way, I passed Tawan - they might have stopped their massage services as there was no touts outside at that time. I saw signs for Super A and later nature boy, these bars were reported to open early, but it was close when I passed them around lunch time. Saw the Queen's club has closed down - what a tragedy. Along the way, I passed by a huge local market selling cooked food for take out. I bet these would be more affordable and more authentic than those found in the restaurant malls. After changing my cash to Baht, I was just wondering around the area. I went to silom plaza, but didn't proceed to arena as the greeter was not my type. On a whim, I decided to hop on to the bus to reach the small outlet center in the jewelry bldg in silom for some shopping. Unfortunately, nothing caught my eye, and their "sale" price wasn't really a bargain anymore. As there were a lot of time to spare, I decided to head to Heaven Sauna. It was early afternoon, I paid the 200 Baht entrance fee, and was surprised by the number of people already in the place. There were lots of more mature daddy type or men with bigger builds in there. I saw one perfect bear specimen. I could've been sworn he was a porn actor in farangland, not for his lesser than average junk. The small jacuzzi at the rooftop was no more. Lots of actions happening in the dark room as well as the steam room and private cubicles. A lot to enjoy if you are into mature and bigger built guys. After it got dark, I decided to treat myself to a buffet in holiday inn. Food selection was ok, and the price was not that steep. After an hour of chomping down on the dinner buffet, I decided to go back to Tawan for the show. When I arrived, I was ushered by a handsome tout with a tribal tattoo that spans his forearms. First time seeing him, he was quite professional, not clingy as the guys inside. When I reached inside, I noticed a few of the same customers that were there yesterday. Tonight Mr K, was not present. Mr P though was a surprise appearance, he later told me that he only comes on weekends as he works at a gym. The cute Myanmar or is it Lao guy was also present that day. Even though he was not part of the big cock show, and as mentioned before, I was trapped behind a row of seated customers for the guys in the big cock show to reach me, he was resourceful and got an ample reward for it. The show was mostly the same, but this time the BDSM part has Mr C tied up on a chair on stage and another guy using a vibrator to explore his nether regions. it would've been more effective if you can actually see the vibrator move. The F show also featured a handsome bottom. Not fem at all, which makes it more interesting. I later found out that Tawan is the only bar that still have the F show, it's a shame though that it only last a few minutes. And the tips are not coming in from the audience unlike previous times. So tonight, for the chuck wow portion, there was just enough tip for 1 guy to shoot his load on stage, the other guy had to leave the stage empty handed. On exiting the bar, another tout was tailing me, asking me why I didn't off, and asked if I wanted to off him. I don't seem to recall knowing him, but he said that he worked inside before. He asked for tip to buy chicken from the vendor outside the expanded 7/11. he seems kind enough so I gave a 100 Baht and bid him good night.

  3. This is my first trip after I called it quits in the corporate world. I would've made this the trip earlier but didn't want to burn bridges with my ex-employer. Anyway, let's just jump to Day 1. Day 1: Arrived at the airport around noon. There seems to be a VIP in swampy during my arrival as there was a portion that was cordoned off to the public, and a few camera men on standby. Surprised with the paperless immigration process, this is an improvement - at least in the ecological sense. Took the skytrain to the silom area - where my hotel was located and decided to do some fruit shopping in the basement supermarket of silom complex. They no longer give plastic bags for free, instead they sell it for 1 Baht. I also found an affordable prepaid sim available on AIS shop - 50 baht for the sim, 200 baht for the month long 30GB internet and unlimited wifi for a month. The store clerk mentioned that I can keep the sim active by topping up 20 Baht per month. This seems to be a better deal for me than having to buy the tourist sim every time I come to Thailand. While in the shopping mall, nature called. I was surprised to see quite active cruising happening. Both local and farangs were obviously cruising. Saw a few above average cocks that are surely stage worthy in the nearby bars. At first I thought this would be a good alternative than hitting the bars, but the often interruptions by the cleaners was a downer. I wonder which other places have cruisy facilities in Bangkok? After checking in to my hotel, resting and freshening up, it's time to hit the night life. I tried small Joe salad place just below the BTS station. It seems to be good value for 300 Baht, I had a medium salad and entree. After dinner, I went straight for Tawan. I was surprised to see different handsome touts now welcoming the customers. The owner/cashier is stationed at the entrance to collect the 500 Baht fee. The place was the same as I last visited but with the added 2nd floor of the stage. When show time started, the crowd had ballooned and the crew added plastic stools in front to original setup. The customers' drinks were capriciously placed behind them on the existing small round tables. And as expected, they experienced at least one spillage every night that I was there. I saw some old faces and some new ones. One of my fave muscle guy was on this bulking phase, so not the type that I would off . So after a short hi/hello, he got the point and left me with the other guys sticking by. K who I had the hots for was on form, and he seems to have grown body hairs which is a plus. But I am wary to off him, as I think I would easily fall for him. Some new muscle guys were present, some a few non muscle guy - bordering on the rough looking ones also now part of the rosters. At around 1045pm the show thankfully started without the long welcome to Tawan prologue in 3 different languages. Unfortunately though, it was opened by a traditional Thai dance, and followed by a couple of cabaret acts. I think it was already 11pm when Ten's candle act started, which was followed by the usual muscle show, bdsm, and big cock show then another set of cabaret acts and then culminated with the fuck show and the aborted chuck wow show since there were very few tips despite the large crowd.

  7. From The Thaiger A shocking incident involving a man who was sexually assaulted by a monkey in his hotel room in Cambodia has come to light. The victim, a tourist from the UK, had reportedly forgotten to close his hotel room window, leading to the unexpected sexual assault by a long-tailed macaque. The disturbing sexual assault was reported on Twitter. The victim had travelled from England to Cambodia for a holiday with his friends. On the night of the incident, exhausted, he fell into a deep sleep, neglecting to secure his hotel room window. His friends were greeted by a horrifying sight: a monkey had snuck into the room while he was asleep and was sexually assaulting him in the most unsettling way imaginable by pulling down his trousers and performing oral sex. The friends were stunned by the unimaginable event but tried their best to help their distressed comrade. They ventured outside the room and began calling the monkey from the window, careful not to frighten it as they feared it might bite their friend. https://thethaiger.com/news/world/uk-tourist-sexually-assaulted-by-monkey-in-cambodian-hotel-room-viral-incident-stuns-millions

  10. So you continue to rely on "revenge" as your suggested US response to 9/11. Each of the highlighted remarks above belies a knee-jerk but very naive armchair response to a major issue in the Middle East and South Asia: "Nation building" "Our benefactors [sic] actually turned on us." "Get rid of the Taliban." "Topple the Taliban." "I personally don't regret that we [sic] invaded." But guess what? We had no "benefactors" in Afghanistan. "Nation building" in Afghanistan resulted in the Taliban still in control. The Taliban still protects and encourages Al Qaeda. More important is the fact that Al Qaeda and its family of Salafi-jihadi groups have increased their influence throughout the Middle East, South Asia, North Africa, Central Africa, and East Africa. So you "don't regret" these results? You're satisfied that "we" got our knee-jerk revenge for 9/11? 🙈🙉🙊 And I encourage you NOT to write another essay in response. I won't read most of it if there are hundreds and hundreds of words. You've already said all you need to say. 😵‍💫

Not only because of the risk of injury, but because your travel insurance might not cover the cost of treatment for those injuries or repatriation to your home nation if needed. Worth checking that it is covered before you decide on taking them. While you might be prepared to risk an injury, you may not want to risk your life savings

  14. The Catholic Church wishes you to know that the creator of the universe, the alpha and the omega, the Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient and, of course, Omnibenevolent God who chose to incarnate as a human and kill himself so that he could forgive you is really, really, REALLY obsessed with what you do with your penis. Because that's how the creator of millions of stars, planets, and life forms rolls. They may also have a bridge in one of New York's boroughs that they'd like to sell you so that they can continue their holy works. Ministering to those who misuse their penes is at times a costly undertaking.

no need to be apprehensive , Tawan in my opinion is friendliest bar, guys may even approach you and if you invite them for a drink, go as far as let you discreetly explore their goods , Being nervous on the first visit is normal and I venture to say most of us were. In worst / shyest case scenario on the first night you just go there, have a drink and see the realm, next night you will feel more domesticated and no doubt braver. Too bad I'm not there , I'd be happy to be your companion on your first evening in Tawan

Don't have any preconceived notions about bars and parlors. Is not that when you take boy from bar sex is kind of mandatory, they saw it all and will be happy to collect their tip for something very mild like going to the movies together or just hand holding session ( dream if mine but I'm too impatient). Massage boys are as ready for sex in most cases but again , nothing is mandatory and very rarely you will be pressed. As for reviews of anything, even less of venues involving some intimacies , while accurate in view of writer, not necessarily may reflect your experience. Specially that is a case when you don't know the writer. His likes may be different than yours or simply his encounter was disaster because he forgot to brush the teeth and his guy was too shy to point that. Go and check for yourself and remember what Achill said once to Patroclus ' all you need is one bar and one boy in it as long as he is your match"

  28. One of the saddest events of my life was when I was in a senior seminary and in my second year. Among the dozen new entrants in the first year was a sweet, completely straight 17 year old. A 24 year old in the third year fell besotted with him, and got more crazy, even picking fights with him just so that he could touch him. The seminary was surrounded by farm land and we all worked the fields etc in the afternoons. One night the besotted 24 yr old went down to the farm buildings and took the paraquat (lethal weedkiller) which he drank, then walked back to the seminary, woke up the young man and told him what he had done and why. The young lad had a total breakdown, and left the seminary. Of course in Catholic Church teaching suicide is a mortal sin so there can be no requiem mass or burial in holy ground. Unless of course the church is covering it's arse and cannot admit a seminarian committed suicide. So there was a full requiem mass, presided over by the Archbishop, and we all had to attend. I left the seminary shortly after that.

  38. I would also recommend the area around BCG. It's super popular with young people. Some of my Pinoy fwb both in the Philippines and at home have recommended me to stay there next time. I stayed in Makati last year, at a small hotel. They was never a problem getting guests in. some got registered at the check-in, some didn't. I think Malate has ceased being a gay area in the last 10 years. I still remember the go-go bars though on my first trip to Manila in 2009. The gay venues in Manila are kinda spread out, so you don't have something like Silom. none of my friends recommended saunas in Manila, so I didn't check any out.

  40. Makati is a very trendy and bustling newer area with some luxurious outdoor malls (e.g, Glorietta and Greenbelt in the Ayala Center area) for cruising, drinking, eating, and people watching. Like everyone else, local gay guys love going to the Makati malls to hang out, see/be seen, and have fun. It's always crowded. I stayed in a hotel right in the Ayala Center: Holiday Inn & Suites Makati. It was pretty nice. Using apps such as Grindr will help you find lots of new friends in this part of Manila and elsewhere.

Eternal shame on Kissinger, hope he rots in hell when his time comes. Even now, 40 odd years later my blood pressure is rising to 250/140 when I think about that. As I said above at least USA and their colleagues in shame contributed mightily to placing Cambodia back on her feet.

  42. International relations are rarely simple. The Vietnamese invaded partly to stop incursions and killings on its territory by the Khmer Rouge. Mercifully Vietnam did invade for it finally put a stop to the Pol Pot genocide. But Cambodia pre-Pol Pot was allied to several countries including China and it was to Beijing that Prince Norodom Sihanouk fled after the 1970 coup. Sihanouk backed the Khmer Rouge as did China. And when Sihanouk returned in 1975 it was as the figurehead head of state in the Khmer Rouge government. Although he soon became disillusioned with Pol Pot' regime, China did not. After the Vietnamese invasion, It continued to back the Khmer Rouge, even training its fighters. China and Vietnam were traditional enemies, and partly because of the invasion, the Chinese then invaded Vietnam in February 1979. The China-Vietnam war lasted a mere 4 weeks, ending after it captured a few Vietnamese town on March 6. I remember that so well for I flew from the UK to Hong Kong on March 2. As a result of the war, all flights were denied Vietnam airspace. Those from Bangkok to Hong Kong had to fly down and around, resulting in an additional hour's flying time. Going back to the issue of Thailand welcoming Pol Pot, one reason for this was Kissinger's request to Prime Minister Chatuchai on November 26 1975. Kissinger said that the US would support the Khmer Rouge despite their being "evil". "They are murderous thugs but we won't let that stand in our way. We are prepared to improve relations with them." Sadly, after the humiliation of the war in Vietnam, there was no way the US would wish to be seen encouraging that country. After the Vietnamese invasion, the US slapped even more sanctions on Vietnam and then blocked the IMF from loaning more to the country. To be fair, this US view was echoed by many other countries who also backed the fallen Khmer Cambodia over its Vietnamese invaders throughout the 1980s.

  43. Bangkok Guy has a good ear for accents. On our first walk-through of the building he enjoyed telling me "this person China, this person Singapore, etc" and by the number of "this person China" it was clear the building was majority Chinese, which at the time did not phase him. However, at the time he had not experienced being a minority. He looked so guilty admitting that he wanted to move to a new building that I had to agree that he can look for alternatives to show me when I am next in Bangkok. It is a shame as the building has fantastic facilities, I really like it, but fantastic facilities are nothing if Bangkok Guy is unhappy there.

  46. You got me worried, shortage of tips may be result of Chinese being biggest part of an audience, taking over from more generous farangs. But surely , with lack of tips more progressive parts of the show may be thing of the past. that chicken dish tip seems to be in vogue there recently but to their credits last few times they asked for tip to buy that , few minutes later I actually saw them eating it so at least my money (and hopefully yours ) seems to be spent as intended. One of many nice things about Tawan is that they have good rotation and as you noticed , some guys are coming only on some days. As for massage there , perhaps you came too early as guy who was / is doing that has day time job somewhere in Huyai Kwang which is also sadly reason he is not interested in long time. 49. Post trip reflections. Highlights - S'sense is a big winner and a pleasant discovery for this trip. I always tend to go to a no hanky panky spa for a decent massage and then visit another place in search of the fun extras. I am delighted that from experience, both elements are present in S'sense. I always make it a point to avoid recommending a specific guy as experiences and individual connection can vary. However, I would recommend Knott just for his massage skills alone. - Hotmale is another surprise. I am pleased that I gave this place a second chance after a lack lustre experience from my first visit. - My meetups through apps have been consistently pleasant during this trip. While this mode takes heaps of time and effort to weed out time wasters and dodgy characters, it can be worth it. My meetups with non Thailand based MBs thru the app is a new Bangkok experience for me. - Tawan is always a highlight. The unpretentious ,relaxed and friendly atmosphere is something other boy bars are not able to duplicate. - Kman Spa. Another notable discovery this trip. Worth the effort getting there. Looking forward to explore the other establishments in the Saphan Kwai area next time. - LTs: maybe because of the lean season, securing LTs are not as difficult compared to previous experience pre pandemic. Most guys are also not in a hurry to go home the next morning. Maybe it's just my luck this time. Lowlights - Banana bar just didn't tick any of my boxes this time. I'm not sure if its unusual but they only had four performers rotating the whole time I was there. People will take a peek by the door and will instantly walk off. - Fresh boys is always a lowlight for me but I always end up visiting at least once every trip. The lack of subtlety on the part of waiters and Mamasans when asking for tips and drinks can be irritating. I mean asking for tips/drinks within the first minute of conversation? - AirBnB: given its legal status in Thailand, I always second guess and brace myself everytime I bring a boy back. The apartment I rented have posted notices and banners saying that the building is strictly for residential use and not for short rental like air bnb. The notices were written in a way that the renters can get into trouble if they don't report this to building management. But again, this is Thailand. While I didn't have any issues during my previous stay, I'll stick to the usual tried and tested Silom hotels next time. - Jupiter: as advised, I will try to ignore the ice cold standoffish behaviour of the guys next time. I might be in for a surprise. - Dreamboys is a mixed bag for me. While their new place is a definite improvement, both my visits didn't result to an off. Not crossing this off my list and will give it a try next time. Compared from my visit last year, things are really looking very positive. There seems to be no remnants of the pandemic and Silom / Surawong area is bustling with most establishments back to operating till late night / early morning. Overall, this 12 day experience have been pleasant with no major dramatics with any of my off. Fingers crossed it will be like this next time. Thank you for reading my reports and hopefully this will be of help to you guys for your next trip. I am looking forward reading your future reports too!
