Perhaps you should try to put together your own report before making such uncharitable, to put it mildly , comment. Sure , reports are of varied quality but also readers expectation may be different, some may be looking for juicy details, others for practical leads about accommodation, where to go, to eat or how organize their vacation day. Some like short , up to a point stories , other may be looking for longer narratives but one thing is sure : we should be grateful that members are taking their time and effort to put something together for us. Specially hats off for those who take chunk from their vacation time to update us on their adventures in almost real time. Tedious is process of writing report , not easily avoidable treat, even if doubtful of reading it. fully agree with this part though9 points

Day 4 The Pattaya virgin arrives in the promised land. Unfortunately, most of the day was spent in an incredibly frustrating back-and-forth with the hotel: I arrived to find that my category of room had been overbooked; I didn't like the room they offered me and requested another, only to find that the wifi in my substitute room of choice was non-existent, so ultimately returned to the original room they had offered. Ugh. The only thing that kept me from losing my sh*t like any entitled first-world tourist was the toke I had earlier, so all involved kept smiling on in the Land of Smiles - the most graceful outcome one could have hoped for. In between, I managed to make my way to Central Festival, a short stroll down Pattaya Beach, for lunch. Chain restaurants in a mall are just that, though, and the bucket list for tomorrow involves a decent place for a meal, either the buffet lunch at the Hilton or a nice seafood joint on Jomtien. I am dying to have a whole crab, all to myself ... After a post-dinner nap, I make my way to Boyztown - finally! I poke my head in at Toy Boyz first. There's a decent line-up of about 20 boys or so, all clad in their skivvies, but no show, so it's a tad awkward with them on stage all staring at you ... TB doesn't charge an entrance fee; beers are 300 baht. Only a handful of boys in the roster catch my eye. It's me and maybe 4 or 5 other johns in there, including several women, and at one point another shows up - a South Asian dude - and very quickly picks a boy out. Boy disappears to change into his civvies, and while he's gone, there seems to be some drama or misunderstanding of some sort, and the john leaves sans boy. The boy quite naturally throws a hissy fit, having already put on his clothes and assumed he was offed for the evening. In any case, I wasn't enthused about hanging around at TB, and decide to make my rounds of the other bars. I amble over to X-Boys and Dream Boys. Business seems slow, even for a Friday night. XB has a small crowd, and several small-ish twinks in their undies and angel wings are performing a number onstage. Not my cup of tea, so I cross the soi to Dream Boys, where the boys are wearing jeans. It's dead quiet, with no one in there - "no show", I was told - but several boys look promising, and I make a mental note to return if nothing else transpires elsewhere. At A-Bomb, the boys sitting outside again suggest a lack of patrons inside. When I show up, they all follow me indoors and leap up onto the stage to begin parading. They're all clad in jeans, and I'm not convinced. I ultimately end up at, yes, Boyz Boyz Boyz. The place is *packed* to the gills. They have a small army of boys parading around up on stage, and, unsurprisingly, quality varies quite widely. Only a handful are flaunting their wares shirtless, while the rest are fully clothed, which I find bizarre for a go-go. One guy catches my eye: he's built, tatted, with a real bad boy vibe to him, and quite obviously straight. There's also a big muscle daddy type - who goes by the handle "jakkrit_pongpaew" on Insta - so if anyone's on the prowl for huge bears in Pats, the zoo ain't where they're at. Like most other bars, BBB doesn't charge an entrance fee, and beers begin at 350 baht. I stay for the show, but clearly a single guy who's nursing one beer isn't a priority when there are large groups buying their booze by the bottle, so service standards aren't great, plus bad boy and muscle daddy get called over to a table by another guy, so after the show ends I cut my losses and return to Dream Boys. There's one other group of Thais in there playing a drinking game, but otherwise everyone seems to be jostling for space at BBB. No complaints from me. The DB crowd seems a little more on the rough trade side than their TB counterparts - just one man's impression - and there are one or two cuties. "All straight", the mama tells me. OK. I make my pick: a jock-y, party boy type who has one of the cutest faces in the room, and goes by "Arm". Off fee 500, tip 2000 minimum. We head back to my hotel, and it becomes quite obvious that Arm is certainly not as straight as DB mama claims. I think my dry spell is over. I'm not sure if I should do a second round of Boyz Town tomorrow, or hit Jomtien or Sunee. Suggestions welcome.6 points -
Cannot find a review here of this new place...so... SOL boy bar which is located in the premises previously occupied by Dream Boys , The latter are further along the soi. SOL is a on the ground floor , less than a minute from Fresh Boys near the mouth of Patpong, Suriwong entrance, Seems new furniture and decoration with tiered comfortable seating in front of a well lit stage. The show was ok. Nothing special but some of those in attendance seemed to enjoy it. The boys appeared to be mostly similar to those in Hot Male. Drinks @ 400 baht each, no idea the off fee. If you are in the area, no harm to check it out!5 points

I've witnessed something very similar before - not at Toy Boys, but in a Bangkok gogo bar. Also a South Asian dude. And I was seated quite close to the action, so I caught a bit of the conversation. In my incident, the mamasan was explaining that the off fee was for the bar and the boy still expected a tip of [whatever amount - I can't recall]. The customer objected and claimed he had been misled, and said - this I remember - something along the lines of "In my country, 500 would be for everything." Of course, I don't know what country he was referring to, or even whether it had gogo bars of similar variety.5 points -

The mamasan will tell you whatever is necessary to close the deal. If he thinks you're a top, he'll tell you that most are gay. If he thinks you're a bottom, he'll tell you that most are straight. A minimum of 2,000 for a short time in most Pattaya bars would be...generous. Or was that for an overnight? The boys at Nice Boys are nice. Even if they are not the most handsome by conventional standards, most have great attitudes. The customers, on the other hand, are often the bottom of the barrel - emphasis on bottom, although quite a few of them also resemble barrels. Alas, that bar, more than any other, attracts a lot of lowlifes. Should be an interesting first visit.4 points -
I believe the bars are partly at fault with this quite major degree of misunderstanding. The owners should be extremely well aware - as are all members of gaythailand - that the make up of patrons at gogo and other bars has been changing rapidly for quite a number of years. Few Chinese, Indian and some other nationalities will have been to such bars in their own countries and be unaware of the 'protocols' of Thai bars. Why do the bar owners place all the onus on a mama-san whose English, no matter how hard he tries, is unlikely to be anywhere near fluent. Those patrons from some countries will be equally bad in conversational English, the more so with as both parties may have strong national accents. So why do they not consider placing on the bar tables a small laminated sheet with bar 'protocol' as it relates to boys drinks, tips in the bar, off fees and tips afterwards re offing boys. This probably need to be only in Chinese, Japanese and Indian (with English as well if felt necessary). This then takes away almost all possibility of miscommunication.4 points

I almost exclusively off long time and always fix this part in the venue but unfortunately several times I had the same problems with excuses to go early. I guess some promise LT afraid if they don't agree they don't get a deal but still I think it's very unfair, specially when I offed guy in the past and he knows what he is up to. Some excuses are outright idiotic - wrong parking of motorsai, perennial " my friend lost a key", need to move or visit in hospital etc. I don't fight with them over that and let them go usually cutting their tip accordingly but next time they try to extract tip, drink or an off I tell them bluntly no and why not. In short, I cross them from future engagements but of course few exceptions apply if I have soft spot for them. ............. I feel your pain. Some boys are possessive indeed. I have masseur in soi 6 whom I like quite a lot but because of this constant pestering he is kind of forcing me to the the same- to pick up alternative route to avoid passing by his shop and it's not good for the boy and the soi if walking ATM is bypassing whole section of it.4 points

DAYS 2 and 3 My two and half days in Bangkok were completely unproductive. Had plans to check out a couple of cafes, finally visit Icon Siam, drop in at a friend’s new gallery space - but of course all I did was get a few massages, toke up, hit the bars, in that order. The rain didn’t help. Kicked off my second day with some work, then it was off to Prime, a hop and a skip away, for a Thai massage. Was considering a more erotic experience at Jey or Prince, but those required a commute and I needed a real massage more than anything else. The clientele at Prime was almost exclusively male and gay; hardly a surprise. My masseur had some muscles on him, and looked pretty cute behind his mask, but gave off what I can only describe as straight vibes. (Has anyone tried propositioning the guys at Prime?) It was 550 baht for an hour and a half, sans tip for your boy. Had lunch at Mango Tree post-massage, but as I pointed out in my previous post, the chef there is a little too generous with the sugar. Wound up the day with dinner and drinks with a pal in Chinatown, which can be wonderfully tranquil after hours. Thanks to the reality of gentrification, there are any number of chic eateries and bars popping up these days. We dined at the Chop Chop Cookhouse, a new entity that took over an entire building that used to house a goldsmith’s. After food, we ended up for drinks at the cluster of bars on Soi Nana: the well-known Ba Hao is overhyped, but Asia Today - queer-friendly, queer-owned(?), both perhaps - was great. They have a cocktail menu that features drinks made from their collection of honey. Tried a couple, both fantastic. Cute, nerdy engineer type by himself next to us truck up a convo, and I think was trying to be friendly with me especially, but we didn’t hang out to chat, so that was that. Pal headed back to her hotel after cocktails, and I to Moonlight. One thing you’ve got to say about the place: they bother about standards. Whole new roster of faces in their non-model department, with quite a few head-turners. The papa I was acquainted with, Maxco, had also disappeared. Nothing new show-wise, but the models were a small group that evening, with only six present. There was Tum, York, Babe (of course), Mark and two others whose names I don’t know. I offed one of the regular boys, who told me he was Bank from Chiang Mai. He was a classic twink: fair-skinned, slim, athletic, big-eyed (likely the result of a surgeon’s knife rather than genetics, though I didn’t ask). He stayed the night, and the next morning, over a bagel and coffee, gave me the real scoop on himself: no Thai boy from CM, but like so many others in this business, from Myanmar. In his case, a Shan boy hailing from a town on the Myanmar-Thai border. He did go to school in Chiang Rai though, educated in a NGO-run school for underprivileged kids. The result: he proved to be a pretty good conversationalist with better-than-average linguistic skills, esp. English, and a decent dinner date. My thanks to the NGOs of SEA. My third day was even less thrilling; it was rinse and repeat. Work matters in the morn, a massage at Prime after lunch, a nap, and then I met Mr. Bouncer for dinner (from my first evening at Tawan). Original plan was to check out The Commons, but Saladaeng Rd was completely flooded out and near impassable on foot. We ended up at one of the Japanese joints on Soi Thaniya instead, cheek by jowl with the girlie bars. Got to know him a little better: he used to work as a Tawan boy back in the old space, but, now in his mid 40s and with a teenaged son to support, has decided to focus on more sustainable income sources (bouncer-ing is one of several side gigs apparently). I like him quite a bit: friendly and unpretentious, not hardened like some other bar boys, and clearly not out to fleece me for all I'm worth - though appreciative of the income opportunity I represent. Will probably hook up with him again the next time I'm in town. Rounded out my short, rainy stay in Bangkok on the rooftop deck of the Quarter Silom, staring up at the illuminated Lego tower that is the Mahanakhon, with a roll and some Donald Fagen on the playlist. Things have been decidedly dull so far in the sex department, but making a couple of new friends hasn't been a bad way of spending the last few days. Sitting in a restaurant in Pattaya as I type this, my first time in this city. Here's hoping the rest of the trip is more exciting ..4 points -

I've invited guys twice that I knew and got along with to stay with me on a later trip.......HORRIBLE. One I had to tell to go home or go rent a room, worst room mate ever, great guy, but made me crazy. The 2nd one ended up being a cock block, because he wanted sex with the GP's that I brought back and I had no privacy and of course he was younger and good looking, so the GP was like, yeah, I'll fuck him instead, lol Go enjoy your trip, he can rent a room and work in the saunas and you can meet him at the sauna or after.....too much on offer in Brasil to get stuck with 1, that might be only "a friend"3 points -
Hi. You asked for opinions and I will give you mine. First things first: it is your money and your life. You are free to do whatever you want (and face the consequences). Poor guy story is quite well known. From what you described you have a commercial relationship with him. It is ok and quite normal to befriend someone you have a commercial relationship. However, would advise you not to forget that it is a commercial relationship. You bring the money to the table and he brings his friendship/body. Regarding your trip. If you want something more than just his companionship you should talk and reach an agreement beforehand. The shortest path to frustration is to expect something that the other person is not willing to give you. I am sure he wouldn’t be offended. He was a GP and he knows you are interested on him. If he gets mad with you for asking about it beforehand it is a really good sign that you should stop seeing him. enjoy your trip!3 points

Did you go to the little bar down the street from DB, you'll usually catch him drinking there when he finishes work drinking wine.3 points -

Day 7 There's something therapeutic spending the night cuddled up under the sheets with a hunky guy. From experience, I was able to get more decent LT from Sauna GPs in SP/Rio compared to Thailand. Only in Thailand I experienced guys changing their minds coming up with an excuse to weasel their way out of an LT arrangement. Maybe Brasileiros are more open and chill with this kind of arrangement compared to Thais? What I usually do now is to initially avoid breaching the topic of LT during convos around taking them out of the club. When they initiate the possibility of an LT themselves, almost always, the chance of getting an enjoyable LT is high. When I have to bring up LT, even with an enthusiastic response, I'm always 50-50 with the outcome. Of course it also helps a lot if you treat the guy nicely and both of you have good banter and vibing well in the club. During breakfast, I was teasing Tun that his wife will be upset that he did not return home last night. He teased back saying "You're my wife!" I chuckled at his attempt to possibly earn additional tip. We exchanged Line details before he left. I let him do the QR code scan thingy as I'm totally oblivious to that. He finds this funny. I spent the rest of the morning catching up on work and when it starts being bland, I checked Grindr but for some reason, I can't see anyone ticking my box. I messaged S'sense again and inquired if Knott is available. Unfortunately, he's already booked. Even my second choice, Singha (who's highly commended in Google reviews) is not working. Luckily, another well built cutie, Tongtong is available. As usual, I was offered the higher priced package with the massage oil being the only difference. For some reason, I ended up choosing a 2-hour body scrub and massage package. I usually have my scrub in non hanky panky spas but given my positive experience with S'sense last time, I thought of giving it a try. Due to heavy rain, I arrived a bit late but they seem to not mind (I kept them updated on what's happening traffic wise). Tongtong then appeared with a shy smile on his face while holding a small glass of cold tea with flower on the side (nice touch). He later then asked me to remove my shoe, gave me a pair of slippers and were on our way to our love nest for the next couple of hours. I was a bit surprised that Tongtong is on the slim/twunk side. He sure got a very cute face and a nice well built body so even when he's not as bulky as Knott, I wasn't regretting my decision. He started off with the scrub and while my expectations were low, I was so surprised that I was getting a proper spa level body scrub. Once in Phuket I made the mistake of choosing a body scrub package in a guy massage place in the paradise complex and it was a hella mistake. But this time, Tongtong is skillfully scrubbing away every nook and cranny of my body and the experience was similar to a legit spa. I ended up with a soft and smooth skin that I never expected to get from this place. It was a pleasant surprise and will definitely in my list of Bangkok must dos. Then comes the massage, while not as intense as Knott, maybe due to size difference, the massage is still robust, relaxing and enjoyable. I keep on saying that its a spa experience because it is. I think that is one thing I appreciated from S'sense, you get the spa and the erotic experience from one place. Tongtong is a bit on the shy side when it comes to the sexier part of the package. He climbed up the bed and started doing body to body massage. It was enjoyable but I think he got the disadvantage of doing this after Knott so he's being measured against a higher standard. Everything started feeling mechanical and routinary at first until I decided to take matters in my own hands and reached down there. A few seconds later, Tongtong was smiling and was hard as a rock down there. We finished on a good note and he surely earned more than the minimum tip. Come night time, I decided to give Hotmale another visit. Given the dramatic texts and profession of love from the guy from Screwboys, I decided to reroute by going through patpong night market turning left to the Corner where dreamboys is straight up to Hotmale. The selection seems a lot better than my first visit so that's a big plus. I can't wrap my head though around the red athletic joggers. All I can think about is an erotic version of highschool musical. If that's what they are going after, they 100% nailed it. A couple of guys already caught my attention. I am making eye contact with both and alas! Like Bluetooth, one of them connected, gave me a wink, a huge cheeky smile and a silly dance that made me laugh internally. I have to save him from doing that silly dance and motioned to him to get down and join me for a drink. He introduced himself as Ae - he's Thai from a province near Chiang Rai. He's surprised to know that I'm not from Asia as he said I look like Chinese or Japanese. I was about to talk about the great Asian Diaspora but I got distracted with his looks and well chiseled chest and abs. He was clinging to me giving me massages and keeps on commenting how my complexion is fairer than his. I guess this was meant to be a compliment? He keeps on commenting how smooth my skin is and I chuckled internally thanking Tongtong for his work. He talked extensively about his diet and how he maintains his body and I'm just enjoying looking at him talking passionately about it. I mean you have to admire people with that kind of discipline. He also talked about his dream of someday playing with real snow and it just sounds so cute. When he saw that I was uncomfortable surrounded with a couple of groups smoking, he initiated moving us to another area so I according to him will not get "smoke poisoned". Call me gullible but that made me decide that even with a couple more potential cuties around, he's my man for the night. After the first show, we made our way out and let him decide where to eat. We ended up in Foodland and after the menu were given, he said he'll have whatever I'm ordering. I took it as a cue he's a bit cautious of ordering "too much". Told him to choose according to his diet. We settled with a few items and passed by the convenience store to buy some booze for later. In the taxi, he discreetly held my hand which kinda caught me off guard as I am not used to and comfortable with such gestures. Since it's dark inside and uncle cabbie seems to be busy with his own thing sending Line messages endlessly (at the expense of our safety!), I just let Ae do his thing hoping that this is a prelude to a good night. And luckily, I was right.3 points

If you don't mind wasting your time and money with a person that puts you in the friend zone then go ahead as you were. I would make it abundantly clear I want more than to be friends. If he is not okay with that then you dodged a bullet. Too many of us play the nice guy that hangs out with the hot person that knows we want to fuck them but are put into the friend zone where we give that person undue attention and they lap it up knowing full well that they have no intention of taking it further. You, oftentimes the hopeless romantic waste time dodding over them while they find ways to get freebies (meals, stays) and attention out of you to boost their ego. The straights call this simping when a guy does it for a girl. DON'T BE A GAY SIMP. Besides, if you let this guy stay with you how are you going to be able to give your full attention to guys you can have sex with? Additionally, how can you trust this guy to not rob you? You just met him online and he flaked on you the first time. Too many red flags in my opinion! Don't do it!2 points -
From Pattaya Mail A 55-year-old tourist from Bahrain, Hasan Mohamed Almuqahwi, experienced an unfortunate incident during his late-night baht-bus ride from Soi Bua Khao back to his hotel on September 28, prompting him to report a robbery to the local Pattaya police. Hasan told the police that two women, visibly transvestites, had joined him on the baht-bus. Engaging in what seemed like casual conversation, the journey took an unexpected turn as the vehicle approached the hotel where Hasan intended to disembark. Seizing a fleeting opportunity, one of the women snatched Hasan’s bag, containing 7,000 baht, 60 Dinars, and essential documents. Hasan attempted to restrain the suspected thief, but failed. In a blink, the two transvestites made a quick escape on foot, leaving Hasan in hot pursuit but without success. Following the incident, Hasan reported the theft to the local authorities. The Pattaya police promptly initiated an investigation, diligently examining closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to identify and apprehend the suspects.2 points

It's a little bit different than that , Thai thinking is not the same as ours. when the mamasan say 'straight' usually mean the guy is a top and wouldn't bottom, he might be straight/gay/bi but for the mamsan point of view it's not relevant. Mamasan usually won't lie and tell you the guy is bottom when he's top only because it might cause a problem between client and the guy offed and would ending by sending him back to the bar without paying .2 points -

I would endorse PeterRS' idea about making things clear in advance about fees and minimum tips. Just about all the massage shops in Saphan Kwai post minimum tips for individual guys (the tips are set by the boys themselves, as far as I know). This eliminates misunderstandings and ensures that masseur receives fair compensation. In shops where's no minimum (and that's most of the ones in the Silom area), I amazed by how many northeast Asian customers offer zero to a few hundred baht. As for Vinapu's observation, I have the same thoughts. I like to think of those guys as"Bangkok straight": they're straight until they decide they're not as the right opportunity presents itself when the door closes.🙂2 points

in reality what other country has boy gogos of similar variety ? Mamasan was sensible by explaining whole process as in fact it's quite possible for novice in Thailand , not knowing prices , to assume that price quoted includes everything. This is a case in Japan I understand but of course not 500. Quite possible Toy Boy incident in report above was result of such false assumption One of massage guys I know recently had misfortune of having two Chinese customers in one day and they both refused to tip him claiming that massage fees should include everything. He says they were explained all , just played cheap trick. Poor boy, two assholes in one day on the table! sorry , double quote by mistake then go next time , If you don't you will never know doesn't matter how many reports you will read and how many clips on YouTube you will watch. Nice Boys is a must to visit IMHO Depending of how many days you will be there but I would say make sure you visit both areas. Not that it's very far, in 10-15 minutes by motorsai taxi you will be in Jomtien and walk from Boyztown to Sunee is even less then that. In Sunee you have only 2 go-gos, Winners and Nice Boys so easily you can visit 2 areas on one night. Second round in Boyztown is also good idea as there may be some pickings you missed on your first visit because of their absence.2 points

I’ve offed the one in bright blue shorts in the middle. He was overweight before but when I left in April he had lost all the weight and was a slim twink. I hope he stays that way. Interestingly he told me he never gets taken because most customers think he is always taken off by others. I find that hard to believe, but aren’t they always trying to convince us that no one offs them so they appear more desirable.2 points -

I think it's stupid not to. Just texted with massage guy I talk with almost every night after work. Those shops that do post tips don't seem to have any problem making it understood.1 point

They do but not sure horny and salivating customers pay due attention. You right about Japanese bar and this may be source of misunderstanding as some customers familiar with Japanese system may assume in Thailand is the same whatever price is quoted. They may have their own sources, for sure mainland Chinese do as I came across of some of their forums while combing internet. But the same like with our resources , there are many who are not even aware about their existence or if they do, they don't bother to visit I rarely engage mamasans preferring to wave boy over and deal with him myself but sometimes is necessary of just useful to enlist mamasan as well. They may embellish the truth but rarely they outright lie , if only to avoid future problems with unhappy customer. Toy Boys are not my primary destination but from few members I heard the same, boys are catching up with Bangkok and expect 2000 short time, which as you pointing out , for Pattaya is generous and probably can be bargained down as for Nice Boys I agree with your assessment of boys but you bit harsh about customers. One thing is sure , no noisy screaming Asian girls there (so far?) , everybody is there for the same kind of entertainment. I do. I was also reluctant to leave Bangkok's charms for first few trips but then I braved myself and I'm happy I did. My first impression was not even that great but it grew on me with subsequent visits. Even chalked one of my trips as spent more in Pattaya than in Bangkok. My problem with Pattaya is that not being sun and sand person I have problem to make my daytimes interesting there. No problem to go straight away as there's quite frequent bus taking you straight from airport to Jomtien in less then 2 hrs. There is only short walk to Complex bars and hotels from there. Its also great way to go from Pattaya to Bangkok , I always take airport but and from airport train to the center. Much better option than Ekkamai buses from/to North Pattaya bus station as it beats city traffic. Once I managed to amaze Pattaya regular on the bus. He asked me what time is my flight and when I said I'm just going to Bangkok that way he said " great idea , it never crossed my mind" so sometimes simple solutions as still hidden in broad daylight.1 point -

From The Nation Passengers flying from new terminal advised to allow extra 20 minutes People taking flights at Suvarnabhumi International Airport have been advised to check their flight information carefully to avoid confusion now that the new satellite terminal has been opened. “If you accidentally enter the new satellite terminal [SAT-1], you will have to restart the whole check-in process again and this delay may result in you missing your flight,” the Airports of Thailand (AOT) warned on Friday. The terminal, for which a soft opening was held on Friday, is designed to handle 15 million passengers annually, marking a 33% increase in the airport’s capacity from 45 million passengers to 60 million. Currently, two airlines are scheduled to use the SAT-1 terminals for specific routes. They are: Thai AirAsia X flights to and from Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo), South Korea (Seoul), and China (Shanghai) Thai Vietjet Air flights to and from Singapore, Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) and Taiwan (Taipei). “Check your boarding pass. If it says Gate S101 to S128, that means you need to travel from the main terminal to SAT-1 terminal to board your flight,” AOT director Kirati Kitmanawat said, adding that passengers are advised to use the automated people mover (APM) as the terminals are one kilometre apart. Kirati added that according to a trial run, travelling from the main terminal to SAT-1 takes no more than 18 minutes. Since the APM leaves every five minutes, he said, passengers should ensure they have at least 20 minutes to spare. Airlines that have expressed interest in using the new terminal include Emirates, Etihad, Qatar, Mahan Air, All Nippon and Thai Airways International.1 point

Badly written last paragraph. So, did they apprehend the suspects? All it said was that the police "diligently" examined CCTV in order to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.... and then it leaves the reader hanging as to the outcome. And was the word "diligently" really necessary? Or was it to flatter some important people? (just to be clear, I am referring to the reporter; not to forum member @reader, whom I thank for sharing this news tidbit)1 point -

It may puzzle us farangs why a high-level cop would seemingly be so careless in advertising his wealth, but to a Thai it's no mystery at all. Consider this narrative from "Bangkok 8" between Colonel Vikon and Detective Jitpleecheep, the protagonist: "Don't I know I'm vulnerable to an enquiry anytime? Don't I know that some army bastard or muckraking journalist, or some asshole who wants my job, can start digging anytime and find my stuff--my boat, my little house up north, my handful of bungalows on Samui--and start pointing the finger? Wouldn't I be happier with less assets and more peace of mind? Why d'you I think I keep that stuff where everyone can see it, when I could just sell up and put the money in a bank in Switzerland? Why?" "Because this is Asia." "Exactly. If I'm to do my job properly I have to have face. And my enemies have to see the war chest. You don't survive at the top of a greasy pole if you're a humble little cop piously shuffling files around."1 point

The ripped muscular guys who are still competing or kept their shape are mostly freelance and comes to bar if and when they are free or in need of money. So it can be a stroke of luck to find them if your star arent aligned. If u already have a person in particular u wanted to meet from previous encounter, maybe u can ask mamasan if the guy still with the bar or totally off the scene. Better yet, mamasan might call the guy for you to check if he is free, in which case, he deserve a tip hehe. Many of the good ones have other jobs, PT, gym owner, etc, so they might not come everyday, especially during low season.1 point

China’s outbound travel surges ahead of ‘Golden Week’

It wasn't speculation before COVID. Back in 2016, if you can believe The ASEAN Post, "the Thai government decided to stamp out zero-dollar tourism, estimating losses of US$2 billion each year in tax revenue. Three companies were shut down, 2,155 buses were seized and several people were arrested for money laundering and operating illegal low-quality tours." If you want speculation about the future, the Bangkok Post has an explainer with a 2023 dateline.1 point -
From Bangkok Post: I don't want revenge, insists 'Big Joke' "I don't want to get revenge. I have plenty of information. If I expose it, everyone at the Royal Thai Police [RTP] is doomed. "But I will not reveal it yet. I still want to protect the [police] force,"... https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/26539531 point

"Chinese owned" companies pay the same taxes in Thailand as taxes paid by Thai owned companies, so it is the same and ownership doesn't matter. "Chinese owned" companies hire only Thai people because only Thai may work in tourism by law. So ownership doesn't matter for labor market as well.1 point -

Day 4 With my pretend BF Nam leaving, I am once again single and excited to explore what this city can offer. One thing I was so curious about is how people in this forum have talked extensively about the different massage shops in the Saphan Kwai neighbourhood. The reviews seems to be a mixed bag but I am curious to try it myself. I exchanged Line message with Kman and 15M. They responded flooding my phone with photos of their lineup for the day. I can easily identify 3-4 guys from each of their offerings so I decided to risk it and go in there without reservation. Given my general lack of sense of direction, I decided to take a grab taxi which, given that it's non peak hours, only cost 130 baht. I am running out of funds so I set the drop off to Saphan Kwai station. Halfway there, it started to rain like crazy I started to worry ill get soaked. Luckily, the rain stopped a few minutes before we arrived. I immediately scanned the area and can't find any bank or ATM machine nearby. I tried my luck climbing up the station hoping there's a machine and there it was. Before dispensing cash, this particular ATM machine quotes an exchange rate and asks you to confirm if you accept it. I usually press "no" and from experience, my online banking statement looks like I saved around 25 to 30 USD from my 10k baht withdrawal. Not an expert so I can't explain why. After placing cash in my wallet, I looked to the right and lo and behold, I saw KMan's signage! So I made my way down the station towards Kman. I was expecting that the place will be on the rough side like Arena but I was wrong. Downstairs was decent, I was given a bottle of water and their iPad to browse through their menu. I chose a masseur named Dang and minutes later he went down to meet me, take my footwear and take me to the room. Disappointingly, the room I was given don't have a private bathroom but luckily it's just opposite my room. Dang just smiled and used his hands to direct me to the shower. He then took a shower and returned to our temporary love nest. He looked at me and started speaking in Thai which I responded with a confused look. We had a good laugh and he said he thought I am Thai. This kinda broke the ice. Dang gave a more than decent massage although he lags behind Knott from S'sense who I think will be the standard for this trip. Saving grace is he's not the type that will spend so much time massaging your feet. He gave each body part generous attention. When it's time for the more interesting part, he asked me to lie on my back and gave me a body to body massage which was actually pleasant. It progressed further from there. He's a bit shy and would constantly look at me sheepishly smiling. Kinda threw me off guard but I decided to ignore it. Tried planting as much kisses as I can and he welcomed it all. "You like to fuck please?" He asked. I chuckled in my head and nodded. How can I say no if he asked so politely! We finished and of course he got more than the minimum tip under his profile. I kinda like this system of having minimum tips as it removes the guesswork and makes the transaction more straightforward. If unsatisfied, Just give the minimum tip and add a bit more if its the other way around. Not quite sure if ill make an effort to come back to this area. It's really out of the way and not worth the travel if you're only visiting one shop. I made a mental note of possibly book a hotel in the area for a day to sample everything Saphan Kwai can offer. Maybe two nights to include a Chatuchak shopping trip? I should have taken the BTS back to my apartment but I wasn't thinking properly in a post coital phase. Got stuck in the grab taxi for 1.5 hours but I entertained myself by browsing through Grindr. Ghanian guy seemed to have seen me online and sent me a Line message. He asked if I want to meet up and I replied ill let him know after dinner what my plans are. He responded cheekily inviting himself to dinner and then back to my place for drinks. He quoted same price as before but told me not to be shy to tip (he's learning from previous experience!). I looked outside and the impending rain looks a bit daunting so I decided to cancel bar plans tonight in favour of my gorgeous Ghanaian mate.1 point

Went to Nice Boys Fri night.....had about 10 anorexic looking guys and 2 or 3 decent ones. A group of Europeans came in and put money on the table for the first 3 to cum. One of the guys that came 2nd, was interesting to me, but after he nutted, He looked spent and uninterested ( I can relate)...so much for that. X-Boys were in underwear and they had about 3 or 4 performers that were dancing around naked, not hard. I was interested in one, but apparently not gay and not offable, wtf? I can't remember if Dream Boys were in underwear or not....some might have been, but can't be sure. Tomorrow is my last night, no stand out massages or sex to report on, pretty lame time in Pattaya this trip. I went to Sansuk sauna tonight for my first time ever....was much nicer than I expected based on reviews. About 80 people mixed ages, nothing wow, but I hooked up and got off.1 point -
