What are the prices today for sex in Thailand? 2023
vinapu and 3 others reacted to ChristianPFC for a topic
Before Covid I made some dedicated posts on the forums, and now I mention it in my blog under gay activities of the month. I even have a tag: https://christianpfc.blogspot.com/search?q=saranrom When I came as a tourist (i.e. flying in for a few weeks and then return to work in Europe), I did the gogo bars extensively. But I found that there is no correlation between money paid and service rendered. Chances to get a dud or a good one are the same, whether I pay 500 or 1000 THB (or used to pay 1500).4 points -
Sports events are discussed on this board from time to time and often it's because of the eye candy. From Pattaya Mail In a gripping match against DP Kanchanaburi FC on Saturday September 23rd, Pattaya United secured a 1-1 draw. The standout performance came from Pakornphat Phasuk, a player who has subsequently been deemed an “MVP” of the match by the Pattaya United team. Starting from the previous game, the Dolphin’s coaches said Pakornphat didn’t disappoint. With a powerful strike, he clinched the team’s first official goal in their iconic sky-blue and white jersey. The match was a great display of Pakornphat’s exceptional speed and sharp shooting skills. His boundless energy on the field made him a pivotal player, the team described on its Facebook official account. Thoroughly impressed, the team dubbed him the man of the match. “Pakornphat Phasuk, a force to be reckoned with, who proved his mettle,” the team said.3 points

From Boyztown area it is a short walk to Sunee. From Jomtien it is a 10 Baht ride on a Baht Bus. Only answer to your question is to personally check it out. Winner Bar has more twink types and, judging from last night, some big cocks on a couple of the boys. Nice Boys has more manly types and a lot of cock on display.3 points -

And that's the problem. Pattaya is holding less and less interest for me. My usual favourites, relatively speaking, are Abomb and Toyboys. BoyzBoyzBoyz used to be on the list but since it has gone hetero, it's been scratched. The other thing about Pattaya is that massage skills tend to be poor. One may be able to get a bigger boy for massage out of the (exaggeration) hundreds sitting outside their shops, but nothing that comes close to Prime in Bangkok (if I want a real massage) or Arena (if my interest is more carnal). The only thing Pattaya has over Bangkok is the beach... But now that the gay area is also disappearing... sigh.2 points -

British expats in Thailand bemoan Barclays’ latest debanking moves
KeepItReal and one other reacted to reader for a topic
From Pattaya Mail By Barry Kenyon Barclays’ decision to shut down as many expat accounts worldwide as they can find is causing distress amongst British retirees and long stayers in Thailand. The bank claims the reason is that Barclays’ home services are for UK residents, but Pattaya expat Mike Gilmore says he has been an expat customer for over thirty years. “The real reason is they are not making enough money from us,” he said, “and don’t want the hassle of dealing with overseas customers as they continue to close branches and cut staff numbers.” The bank is offering an alternative to switch to a global account at its offshore bases in the Isle of Man and the Channel Isles which are technically not part of the UK. The downside is that there is a monthly service charge of 40 pounds unless at least 100,000 pounds are kept on an ongoing basis in the same account. Other problems could include a complex online initial registration to transfer money internationally, renewal difficulties when a credit card expires and threats to close the account if the balance is too small. Zero interest is paid on most current and savings account. The Barclays move is not unexpected as many expats, including Brits based in Thailand, had already been ordered to move their UK-based accounts when the bank discovered that they were using a UK post-restante address – often a relative’s – as their regular contact address. In 2021 Lloyds Banking Group, which includes Halifax and the Bank of Scotland, had ordered the closure of thousands of British expat accounts, mostly in Europe. Another Pattaya Brit, Ken Taylor, said he had been told to close his Barclays account by mid November 2023. “I live on modest pensions in UK which I need to be transferred every month.” He said he was contacting the providers to see if they would transfer directly to his Thai bank account but had been warned that some pension companies charged extra, or used poorer exchange rates, or even insisted on sending a cheque which was impossible to cash here. Ken Taylor added, “Although the Barclays news won’t affect most British expats in Thailand as they have already made other banking arrangements, it does illustrate how living overseas brings its own problems. We also have to worry about the rumors of changes in the Thai taxation system, a flat refusal by the British government to upgrade frozen state pensions and what the immigration bureau may or may not be planning.”2 points -
From The Nation Unesco listing sparks surge of tourists to Sri Thep Tourists have been racing to Sri Thep since the ancient city in Phetchabun province was designated a Unesco World Heritage Site, but local residents have been caught off guard by the influx and services for visitors remain minimal. "It's truly unfortunate that the local community couldn't catch up in time, resulting in no facilities or services to benefit from the significant influx of tourists,” Phetchabun Governor Wison Kositanont wrote on Facebook. Wison was one of the key figures who pushed for Sri Thep’s addition to the heritage site list. Visitors are flocking to Sri Thep for holidays, and it is likely that this trend will continue, he said, adding: "This is one of the reasons why Phetchabun province urgently needs to establish a community-driven tourist service centre.” Si Thep is the fourth site in Thailand to be listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site. The first was the Ban Chiang Archaeological Site in Udon Thani, which was added to the list in 1992. Si Thep was added to the list in the cultural category.2 points

vinapu and one other reacted to moistmango for a topic
Depends on the individual I'm sure, but in general, Tawan guys tend to be a pretty good time in bed - even if it's just vanilla stuff like muscle worship or a mutual JO. Moonlight models are at least out for a party, so can be fun to hang with. The worst of the lot, in my opinion, are the straight ones from Jupiter, especially those on the more attractive end of the spectrum. Complete waste of time and money. I don't even go there anymore.2 points -

Sunee is a quick motorbike taxi trip to and from the Complex. Over the years I’ve returned 3 up with an offed boy from Winner to my Complex hotel. Memories of blasting through the night air with a boy clinging on behind me !. I’ve always checked out Winner during my trips particularly when I’ve wanted a twink for the night. It’s a “traditional” Gogo where you can call boys down to sit with you, maybe use the cushions to check out their cocks or tongue kiss them, after giving them a tip.2 points -

Exchanging cash in TH is still the most economic option (if you don't have a bank account in TH). Withdrawing cash from ATM, adding Thai ATM fee, conversion rate of my local bank (3% less than bank interchange rate) plus fees of my local bank, means about 5% loss to bank interchange rate. Exchanging cash in TH gives you below 1% loss (was even better before Covid, I think?).2 points

You did right thing. If you answer yes they will use so called "dynamic exchange rate" which is less favorable for you . You decline , your bank will use their exchange rate and you end up paying bit less for your amount of foreign currency . The same applies when purchase is done by credit card , always decline conversion to your currency and get charged in local one, be it baht , tala or taka2 points

Chiang Mai in December

December is a great time to visit. I would choose a hotel inside the old city which makes touring around on foot or by tuktuk easy. I was there in December several years ago now (in 2012), I'd have to dig to find the hotel I stayed in. It was a nice traditional decor sort of place. Indeed lots of temples in the city and Doi Suthep. There are also some interesting caves if you like that sort of thing. The Royal Park Ratchaphruek is very pretty. This cave is called Mae On.2 points -
I made it to SOL gogo tonight. Inside basicly same set up as it was with Dreamboys, except all new and modern. And yes, the big pole is still in the middle of the stage. Seating is black vinyl bench type like used at FreshBoys. Then in front of them row of single seats . Couch’s set up along the stage. All seating seemed comfortable. Group of 3 other customers and myself. About 10 guys on stage. Around 25 overall. Rotating fairly quickly. They were wearing white tennis type shorts and button up shirts that were colorful. They looked nice, but if you want to see skin it will be below the knees. 1 guy was shirtless, 1 was unbuttoned. I think they have a ways to go in their talent hiring. But that’s my opinion. We all have different likes and dislikes. No twinks. More mid to upper 20’s . As Vinapu always says, you only need one. There were 2 that got my attention , but a big drop off from there. Drinks 400. I had a coke. Brought glass full but not the rest of can. Half ice, half coke, steep price. Waiter I had spoke no English. Everything on phone. Drink menu, Boy info. Operating hours. New place so really pushing boys and drinks. No customers so lots of waiter hovering . I didn’t go to show. It starts at 10:20. They’re still doing a little work here and there. Outside very generic, inside looks very nice. I guess time will tell.2 points

definitely correct and minimum tips as well as massage fees are reflecting that. But everybody is welcomed and usually there's somebody who speaks bit of English so no reason to skip visiting those shops fully agree, I only use ATM when my cash inevitably runs out toward end of trip . Even then I try to withdrew 20000 or 25 000 if machine allows to reduce impact of those fees ( 220 in Thailand and 125 here per withdrawal ). I can also buy baht here locally and rate works to about the same I'd be exchanging money in the airport before customs ( better rates at train station but those booths are closing at night and often most pressing need after arrival is money for taxi.1 point

I have witnessed people from the crowd tasting strippers dick in Theatron (some with condom, some without), and I think it was Thursday night. I had a feeling that strippers were having good time and teasing people. They are not shy and if you dont look like a creep I think its not so difficult. The one who got most attention was a hairy average looking colombian guy in late 40 and he was just very enthusistic and willing, he did not look like heavy tipper. I think the stripper (extremely hot guy) used him to bring some “exciting change” into his dance routine. All Theatron strippers I saw were very, super or extremely hot guys). The first dancers were less interactive, but the last dancers rather interactive, but its not sex club orgy of course. There is staff supervising the stage. Everything happens among crowd of 200 people and 200 mobile phones making pictures!1 point

Day 4 With my pretend BF Nam leaving, I am once again single and excited to explore what this city can offer. One thing I was so curious about is how people in this forum have talked extensively about the different massage shops in the Saphan Kwai neighbourhood. The reviews seems to be a mixed bag but I am curious to try it myself. I exchanged Line message with Kman and 15M. They responded flooding my phone with photos of their lineup for the day. I can easily identify 3-4 guys from each of their offerings so I decided to risk it and go in there without reservation. Given my general lack of sense of direction, I decided to take a grab taxi which, given that it's non peak hours, only cost 130 baht. I am running out of funds so I set the drop off to Saphan Kwai station. Halfway there, it started to rain like crazy I started to worry ill get soaked. Luckily, the rain stopped a few minutes before we arrived. I immediately scanned the area and can't find any bank or ATM machine nearby. I tried my luck climbing up the station hoping there's a machine and there it was. Before dispensing cash, this particular ATM machine quotes an exchange rate and asks you to confirm if you accept it. I usually press "no" and from experience, my online banking statement looks like I saved around 25 to 30 USD from my 10k baht withdrawal. Not an expert so I can't explain why. After placing cash in my wallet, I looked to the right and lo and behold, I saw KMan's signage! So I made my way down the station towards Kman. I was expecting that the place will be on the rough side like Arena but I was wrong. Downstairs was decent, I was given a bottle of water and their iPad to browse through their menu. I chose a masseur named Dang and minutes later he went down to meet me, take my footwear and take me to the room. Disappointingly, the room I was given don't have a private bathroom but luckily it's just opposite my room. Dang just smiled and used his hands to direct me to the shower. He then took a shower and returned to our temporary love nest. He looked at me and started speaking in Thai which I responded with a confused look. We had a good laugh and he said he thought I am Thai. This kinda broke the ice. Dang gave a more than decent massage although he lags behind Knott from S'sense who I think will be the standard for this trip. Saving grace is he's not the type that will spend so much time massaging your feet. He gave each body part generous attention. When it's time for the more interesting part, he asked me to lie on my back and gave me a body to body massage which was actually pleasant. It progressed further from there. He's a bit shy and would constantly look at me sheepishly smiling. Kinda threw me off guard but I decided to ignore it. Tried planting as much kisses as I can and he welcomed it all. "You like to fuck please?" He asked. I chuckled in my head and nodded. How can I say no if he asked so politely! We finished and of course he got more than the minimum tip under his profile. I kinda like this system of having minimum tips as it removes the guesswork and makes the transaction more straightforward. If unsatisfied, Just give the minimum tip and add a bit more if its the other way around. Not quite sure if ill make an effort to come back to this area. It's really out of the way and not worth the travel if you're only visiting one shop. I made a mental note of possibly book a hotel in the area for a day to sample everything Saphan Kwai can offer. Maybe two nights to include a Chatuchak shopping trip? I should have taken the BTS back to my apartment but I wasn't thinking properly in a post coital phase. Got stuck in the grab taxi for 1.5 hours but I entertained myself by browsing through Grindr. Ghanian guy seemed to have seen me online and sent me a Line message. He asked if I want to meet up and I replied ill let him know after dinner what my plans are. He responded cheekily inviting himself to dinner and then back to my place for drinks. He quoted same price as before but told me not to be shy to tip (he's learning from previous experience!). I looked outside and the impending rain looks a bit daunting so I decided to cancel bar plans tonight in favour of my gorgeous Ghanaian mate.1 point

Tons of temples to visit within old city walls, trip up to Doi Suthep definitely worth it. I was there few days in December 2021 and liked it. Can recommend Viangbua Mansion , just steps from Adam's Apple go-go. Very spacious rooms with the views.1 point

Don't know about "must see" but there are a number of spectacular temples and gardens. A tour to visit the hill tribes is definitely worth it. The usual Elephant and Tiger sanctuaries. Doi Ithanon national park with its amazing waterfalls. One warning is that though Chiang Mai is reasonably flat, it's surrounded by hills and much of the sight seeing requires walking up and down steps or hills.1 point

Paul , you deserve medal for community service. Finally we have 1st hand report from there. We need to wish them luck as obviously few things need ironing, boy selection and that drink issue although depending on size of glass can could be emptied there but you know better. At least I'm glad boys are in my preferred age range but yes , variety is spice of life and they need twinks, truth Tawan discovered post covid and it serves them well. Shirts are nice but lack of them is even nicer. It may be Chinese thing. The same BBB in Boyztown, everybody in shirts bar 2 or 3 . Boys told me there is up to them but do they really think being fully dressed helps them in this line of work?1 point

Glad to hear all is good in our gay ghetto and things are moving in the right direction. Hope new bar will be successful and will not share fate of now defunct New Twilight. With Chinese owner there's a bit of possibility that he may turn it into another Dreamboys at soi twilight or BBB in Boyztown , Pattaya with their Chinese customers marching right to the bar without paying any attention to offerings in rest of the soi but that remains to be seen. Hope boys at Hot Male are doing well and are as handsome or cute or both as always had been.1 point -
It's still the same risk. Don't do it unless you know the guy personally or if you have friends watching out for you. The guys off the websites sometimes use fake pics, and even if you have them check in at reception, trouble can still happen. One of the employees from Pointe 202 was murdered, hooking up with a guy in a hotel, and he was a local. Always take precautions; you only have one life to give.1 point
