Day 11 In the morning SK was sleeping soundly so I decided not wake him up and went to new Foodland for breakfast and meeting with MJ alone. I left his tip in plain view just in case, actually bit more because of his recent troubles in appreciation of fact that he did not ask for anything. We had a lot to talk about with MJ so when I returned well past 10 he was gone and tip collected with ‘thank you ‘message on the Line . Gone were also my new sandals owing to miscommunication. When he was e going to 7/11 last night I told SK he can use mine sandals instead of tying his sneakers and all that. What I meant one time usage he took as permission to use them in perpetuity. No harm done since I had another pair. Today I feel a bit cold so went to buy Tylenol and stay in the room till afternoon. Tylenol did the job and at 4 pm I was ready for trip to Arena with MJ as decided in the morning . When going to bars or spas with somebody there’s always possibility that both of us will be fond of the same guy so we agreed on who will be first. Greeted by veteran captain Art we surveyed realm , today very rich selection of mostly hunky hunks. Fortunately we had different picks. My choice was guy whose face was bit familiar but whom I was certain I never engaged. Only when he told me his name Nuk I got enlightened. One of most popular and praised guys there for many years. There was member who never took anybody else from arena then him. Finally today was my turn to get acquainted . He aged a bit since last time I saw him there but he did not lost his luster. Great body , great massage skills and every thing else. Spoiled him with 2000 tip . Then MJ and me went to Foodland, a bit underused this trip because I had breakfast included in Quarter and for dinners somehow G’Bangkok had bit more allure. We always had plenty to talk about liking exactly the same types and in fact the same boys so spent some time there exchanging news. In the evening MK and me planned to go to Tawan so I went there knowing MK will be inside already. There was new boy # 4 , not exactly hunk but very attractive still. I had him sitting over drink and used occasion to get bit intimate if only to have excuse to tip him. S wasted no time to sit beside on other side , that way securing LT off tonight. Knowing what I know now If I have any regret this trip it was that I did not off #4 tonight instead . It was raining quite heavily when S and I left so even if it’s very close to hotel we took taxi which handily just appeared in front of bar. Very energetic night, as I mentioned before S is not even close to being sand bag , at least not with me, that’s sure thing. He likes his inflated tips but to be fair works for them quite hard and never complains about inability to sleep because my manipulations. But for tomorrow I made firm resolve , it’s #4. We will see how it will work.

Day 12 After breakfast we parted ways. I had tourist program in mind- to complete survey of monorail from Hua Mak to Lad Prao. That section was not yet operational when I rode it in Jun. So off I went to Hua Mak. From There to LadPrao 101 station as I knew there was boy massage place in the soi. Still is , sign " KB BOY" is visible from far. It was opened but I did not venture in , retuned to station to continue my journey. When I returned to hotel they just started cleaning room it so I decide to go to Foodland to eat something and then had a stroll through the area and generally had lazy afternoon enlivened by message from Kao from day 7 that he has day off tomorrow and will be happy to meet from 3 pm on. Then to the bar, MK was already there but my heart started bleeding right away. #4 I was hoping to off tonight was sitting with some Asian customer and they seemed to have good time. S was trying to repeat last night feast but I think I become dispirited by missing chance on number 4 and resolved that if he will be taken by that customer I will try to console myself in Moonlight , not Tawan. Mid show it was exactly what happened, both all smiles marched out, I tipped S, paid for my drinks and went to Moonlight to find bar busy and full. Mamasan who knows I like A stabbed me in the back with news that he was already taken few minutes ago. Than another one, who knows I like also Y came and pointed that Y is sitting with customer who seem to be ready to take him. Which exactly what happened by time they brought me my drink. So all I can have was handshake with Y leaving with that successful competitor. What a night , grrrrr! Seeing my long face mamas an pointed out at few new guys and particularly one looked very attractive with manly , rough looking face , in short exactly what I like so I called him over for drink. Myanmarese, he become clingy on the spot, looked enthusiastic so we agreed on long time and compensation and after paying off fee went to Happy Beer garden for a supper, by the way my last supper this trip. From there to the room where things happened quite fast, no harm done thought I , now it will be more time for quiet romantic fake boyfriend experience as I liked him a lot. But it wasn’t meant to be as soon after he looked at his phone and said his roommate lost a key so must go to open door for him and of course he will be back but can I give him half of his tip now because he needs to buy something. Even time frame was quoted like 20 minutes or so. Old trick , too old for me but what could I do? So far he worked hard for his compensation so handed over money, accepted without hope promise he will be back soon. Next hour I spent on the phone and tablet and then went to bed . Of course he did not return. Oh well. My grandmother used to say there’s no bad thing which is not creating something good. At least I had very good night sleep, considering my next night will be spend on the plan it was quite a bonus. It’s why I’m not upset, just bit disappointed but still happy with experience, hot but short, lol. What was bit unnerving though was Line message next morning of "how are you doing ?" like nothing happened. No repeat as Christian PFC uses to say.

Since nobody was standing there it was clearly to somebody who was passing by and did what I always do there - check who is sitting inside. Seconds ago another motion to very handsome guy , even from distance, who entered restaurant. So of course being soft hearted and always generous when he approached I asked him to sit with us and order whatever he wants on my tab. It made him wide eyed but my boy said something , most likely ' relax, he will pay" . We did not talk much but it turned out he lives in the same place my boy's brother does. Whether roommate or just neighbour I don't know to this day. By my company clearly he could gather I like boys and more inquiring mind would say , boys in the morning. This probably would finish whole story if not a fact that coincidentally I met him on the street later that day and again day or two later. Not that sensational as he works shifts in the area but on another hand Silom and Suriwong are busy streets. Again , we did not talk much , wai and hallo on first occasion and farang style handshake , initiated by him, I remember that very well , on the second. It was then when I realized I have some interest in him. In May Guardian Angel went to action again, we met in passing on one of days, it turned out we remember each other quite well and even we had some small talk and then he said something to effect " hope to see you soon". So when we bumped into each other this trip for 4th time it was clear we are meant for each other and one of us suggested we have meal together and to facilitate that we exchanged Line as his shifts seem to be irregular. Rest is , as they say , history. But also future as we will learn soon. Surely I should act much sooner but knowing that he is not from the scene made me quite apprehensive even if fact he saw me first with the boy settled expectancies somehow.

Wonderful report, can’t wait for more. However I don’t understand how you waste so much time talking politics with these boys. I’m sure it must be difficult to understand and maybe quite boring. Once I had a cute femboy from a bar in Sunee Plaza. We were both a bit drunk and to pass the time away he really enjoyed squeezing blackheads I had around my temple near my eyes. Thought it was weird but he was having fun, or was really bored.

This would be excellent even if I won’t count on it. There was recently the 45 day visa exempt post Covid and they didn’t even extended it. Anyway, personally, this is a perfect solution for me as I decided to pre retire elsewhere in Asia while frequently visiting Thailand. I was looking for a way to spend 2-3 months for a couple of times and there are no easy solution except perhaps the 60 day outright visa. the retirement extension O A was the best option until they imposed an insurance requirements among other things. in any case, I’ll just go for frequent <30 days travel for now. I’m also visiting a lot of other Asian countries so it is fine as it is. However, in the future, my heart is set on just going to Thailand and Japan. Ironically, Japan gives me 90 day stay on each arrival. However, it’s economically unfeasible for me to stay there that long. If only I can flip the rules of the 2 countries 😂

Very thank you it won't be much more, 2 more days and trip is over. I don't talk neither politics nor religion with boys , not that any is inclined to. I like to talk or rather listen to stories about their life. When I mention discussion of local election in some country some readers may even doubt it exists it's just internal slang for getting intimate. I'm never bored with boys but yes, sometimes they are bored with me. It's when they start inventing those stories about lost key etc and resulting need to go home. I don't blame them for getting bored but I do for not keeping terms of agreement we made.

Day 10 After Y left I slept well despite of cold bed. Last breakfast today at the hotel as I’m finally moving to Baan Silom. Nice lady who prepared my fried eggs every morning was nicely surprised with tip I left her. In the room I packed then took tuk-tuk which took me to new digs for 100 baht. I left luggage there as they instructed me room will be ready in 1-2 hours ( it was still morning ) and went for a stroll. On corner of soi Tawan repaired my daypack for 70 baht then got a message from MA he is drinking cofeee at Silom 64 so marched there to join him for tea and latest news. Then I took MRT to Hualampong just to check how it is now after most trains moved to Bang Sue or whatever elaborate name of new station is. Central platform is kind of railway museum with exhibit of old stem engines but there are still some trains departing from there. There’s free shuttle bus connecting both stations but doesn’t seem to be too frequent, perhaps one per hour as for time I was surveying station , more than ½ hr it did not departed. When I arrived in hotel room was already free so time for some laundry. Since I like to travel light I have habit that first thing to do in the room is do some washing. In the afternoon we had thunderstorm, about time as it was so far quite dry for rainy season. At 7.30 dinner at G’Bangkok with MA , from there we went to Hot Male beer bar to have some drinks with boys there. I used that occasion to molest new boy One a bit more and of course force some tip on him for his troubles. It was past 10 pm when I got Line message from SK that he just landed and is going straight to my hotel. He was escorting his ailing brother to Cambodia as doctors advised them his treatment will be cheaper there. So waved good bye to gentlemen in the bar and went to hotel, not long after SK arrived. He was both sleepy and hungry and suggested that instead of restaurant he will go and buy something to eat for him at 7/11 across the street so I gave him 200 baht to do some shopping. Yes , upon return he gave me a change with receipt. Food energized him quite a bit so we had some exercises instead of talking politics in Mauritius.

Day 8 When Kao left I felt so happy and energized that decided I can’t leave things as they are. Send Line to Y if he is available, answer come right away and with picture – sick in bed. So I tried SK, only could leave message so I fell asleep, SK actually called me but I was sleeping soo deeply I did not even hear that. So I guess I was meant to sleep alone that very night. Came for breakfast quite late and it was so full I had problem of finding space. I apologized to SK for missing his message and offered him Mahankhon trip instead. He said he will be there in 1 hr. Then I got into touristy mood and asked him if he wants to go with me to see new tunnel leading to Grand Palace. Off we went, impressive place, most important there are toilets there. Then I hired boat for 1.5 hr canals trip, SK gladly joined me . He is not shy type, even called his mom and show her naïve farang treating him to those forays. Quite clingy on the boat too. We returned to Silom civilization by the tourist boat. At 4.30 I went to Cofee Grinder to meet MA for latest news exchange, next step was dinner at G’Bangkok and it was dark already when I returned to my room. Asked Y if he feels better now, shrewd guy answered that he does and if I want he can come to my room tonight pointing that it’s his day off so I can save money on off fee. Deal. Day 9 It seems I can’t have enough Y , after breakfast I asked him to return to the room for some more intimacies. Can’t blame myself , I like him , both personality and build. I think he appreciates too fact that I engage him so often this trip. Of course I tipped him extra for that overtime. Today MA moved to my hotel so we celebrated that fact by having coffee and bagel in restaurant in the lobby. And decided to go to Jey Spa to try our luck there. There were only 2 guys on duty, both suitable but mamasan said he will call one more in a second and that was good move as new arrival happened to catch MA’s eye. I opted for guy nicked/named Guy, 100% gay by his won admission. Handsome and knows his job but min tip 2500 . Not saying was not worth it but rather on high side. Then I suggested pizza dinner at Madrid so MA and me went there . Madrid Tavern never disappoints. In the evening I went to Patpong 2 hoping SA will be there but they told me he went to Cambodia to take his ailing brother there. Then had few drinks with MA and boys at Hot Male beer bar. There’s new host, named One there. Very nice young gentleman . But somehow I had hots for A at Moonlight so went there only to see him just being taken by customer. He apologetically said “ I know you came here for Y” which was not accurate but what I could do if he was already taken ? So yes, knowing from yesterday that Y will be available only till 2.30 am tonight I took him home anyways. I told you I seem not to have enough of him. We found way to keep us occupied till that 2.30 , than he collected his ST tip and went to Bus Station to pick up his sister as he told me yesterday he will.

Yesterday, my last night, I ended up with a 2nd baseman that plays professional baseball for one of their national teams....I hate when the best things happen on the last night. My friend has a mutual friend of the ball player, showed him my picture and said he was interested. Was a fun night, drinking, playing naked Jenga and ended with amazing sex. He spent the night, which is something I never do, I prefer to sleep alone, but he was too hot not to let him stay. He lives on the eastern side of the island but said if I come back, he'll go to Havana to stay with me.

From Thai PBS World The Department of Rail Transport believes that, if the Pheu Thai party’s policy to reduce the fare for electric train services in Bangkok and its suburbs to 20 baht, to travel the entire distance of a route, the government must allocate a special fund to subsidise the operators for their loss of revenues, as specified in the concession contracts. The 20-baht electric train fare is one of the Pheu Thai party’s election manifesto promises. According to a study, conducted by Thailand’s Development and Research Institute (TDRI), electric train fares in Thailand are about 20% higher than in Singapore, even though the per capita income of Singaporeans is much higher than that of Thais. The average train fare for a trip in Bangkok is estimated to at 11% of the minimum wage, compared to 1.5% in South Korea, 2.9% in Japan or 3.5% in Singapore, according to TDRI. One of the reasons cited for the expensive fares in Bangkok and its suburbs is the repeated collection of the entry or starting fare, at 16 baht, which is charged on commuters who travel a long distance from one section to another. The Green Line runs from Mor Chit to On Nut and the Silom route from the national stadium to Taksin station. When the Mor Chit-On Nut route was extended to Bearing, commuters who travel from Mor Chit to Bearing will be charged the entry fare for the extended travel from On Nut to Bearing. The entry fare charge for each section of the train route is in accordance with the concession contract, which is binding on BTS (Bangkok Mass Transit System) and BEM (Bangkok Express Metro) the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the Mass Transit Authority of Thailand (MRT). They also believe that this spike in the minimum wage to 600 baht per day could deter foreign business investments in Thailand, pointing out that while such a substantial wage increase could attract labour, it would also impose a heavy burden on the private sector. The government should first focus on achieving a strong economic performance, as a healthy economy would make the private sector more prepared for a suitable minimum wage increase that aligns with the economic conditions. Furthermore, there is consensus that the wage increase should be appropriate for each region, and that efforts should be made to enhance workforce productivity concurrently. The new government should make well-rounded decisions in collaboration with state agencies, the private sector, and employees who benefit under the framework of the law, taking into account recommendations from provincial wage committees responsible for adjusting wages to match the local economy.

If you've been to Brazil and say things like this, it's understandable. But people that haven't, really can't compare, no? Both places have plusses and minuses .....I prefer guy next door types in both places, but for sex, Brazil is the clear winner. Massage, Asia wins....Airbnb is just as comparable in price in both places, except it's legal in Brazil for short stays. And if you spend more in a hotel, sex is def cheaper than what people are paying in Thailand. I think Scott456 is right. "Muscle guys" mean different things in Brazil and Thailand. The OP said he was 190 cm and looking for big guys, which I take to mean guys of comparable height, plus build. For those ( especially if they are bottoms) whose focus is narrowly on bodybuilder types with humongous dicks, the chance of success in Brazil is way higher than in Thailand. And likely costs less too. For others, like me, who have a wider range of acceptable physiques, Thailand works just as well maybe better since hotels and food in Thailand cheaper too. And as others have mentioned, there's no comparison re safety.

Was good, fun.......Brazilians have so many more options to go and enjoy places with you and we have so many more options for food, ice, drinks, etc....

Frippe, you may need to be more specific about your situation, and be more exact about the words you use. Otherwise you may get conflicting advice. If you are holding a Swedish passport, then you are "visa-exempt" for 30 days from date of arrival. You would have gotten an arrival stamp on your passport with date of admission and last date for departure included within the same stamp. I am also from a visa-exempt country and that is what I get each time I enter Thailand. Please do not refer to that arrival stamp as a "visa" or "visa on arrival". It is not a visa at all. When you flew out of Thailand, you would have gotten a departure stamp in your passport. That departure stamp effectively cancels your arrival stamp. So, that means that once you leave Thailand, that arrival stamp is no more. You can enter Thailand again at anytime and get a new 30-day arrival stamp. I have done that many times. My trips to southeast Asia often involve more than one country, so for example, I go to Bangkok, then to Jakarta, then to Singapore, then back to Bangkok... all in the same month. When i enter Bangkok a second time (in same month), I get a new arrival stamp. Obviously, you shouldn't do this like 25 times a year. It will arouse suspicion.

The optimistic part is, as far as I know, the only one who has even mentioned anything about increasing the requirements is Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn, aka "Big Joke" and I've only seen that he mentioned it once. I have seen nothing from anyone else - police, immigration, politicians, saying a word about it. And "Big Joke" doesn't seem to be actively pushing it, although his word does carry a lot of weight in Thailand, but he does not have the authority to unilaterally impose any changes. Even if the powers-that-be become interested in doing that, it won't happen overnight. By the way, in his nickname "Big Joke" - joke does not mean joke as in humorous or funny. It refers to joke - a popular Thai breakfast dish. How or why that became his nickname, I have no idea - but there it is.

Having read so much about retirement visas over several years, increasingly it seems that the bad guys continue to be the crook agents and crook Immigration officers and less crook retirees. If the government just cleaned up its own house, much of the problem could be solved without the need to increase fees in my view.

For two entries in relatively quick succession, this is important - less for Thai Immigration and more for the counter official when you check in at your departure airport. So please make sure you have evidence of a ticket out of Thailand ideally not less than 29 days after arrival (to be certain there is no confusion with night flights). Although living in Thailand, as a regular traveller I find I am increasingly asked either to show my visa or for proof of onward travel within 30 days when checking in overseas.

The new PM is talking about allowing everyone with a visa exemption to stay 90 days instead of 30 in an effort to boost tourism. I don't know how many tourists are able to even stay for 30 days let alone 90, but for retirees who want to stay for longer periods it would be good depending on how often you can do it

If you have return ticket it shouldn't be a Problem to receive another visa on arrival but if you do it too many times in calendari year the Thai immigration can refuse to let you in.

Day 5 Quite active morning which is what I like. What I didn’t like but at least expected it was his tip request. As I said yesterday, he likes his tips over market , at least from me , lol. But since I always say I rather overpay and be happy than save money and be just Ok. So I succumbed to his bit inflated request (1000 more than I gave him initially). At least he worked for it, sand bag he is not, that’s sure. MJ joined us for breakfast, we resolved to go to MBK for Japanese dinner later on and parted ways. I took haircut on Silom and then went to new Foodland just opened in the basement of Silom Park. Menu in restaurant the same like in sisterly Foodland Patpong. In the store several good deals of 2 for 1 type , unfortunately not on items which interested me. Then to Coffee Grinder to met newly arrived this morning another member MA. If you’re interested in knowing how that went, it’s all here: Anyway, to your question, yes mobile phones are allowed in the saunas so you’ll have that to help you. And thank goodness for Google Translate! How did we ever survive without it? I do have a few tips for you to make those transactions with these hot men a little bit easier. This definitely helped me starting out. After that though I’ve decided to be fluent in the language and that was one of my best decisions I’ve ever made: 1. Take the time to learn some basic words: Even if you will rely on your Google Translator, knowing some words in Portugues will help. Which words? I’d go to YouTube to find out which words to learn. This is a good video that gives you the basic phrases as a tourist. It’ll also get your ears used to hearing how Brazilian Portugues sounds like: So try to brush up on your Obrigados (thank you) and Ois (hello) and Desculpas (sorry) before you go. 2. Know the basic Portugues sex words and phrases. Simply putting “ I’m a top” in Google Translate will result in a slightly different thing than what you intended. So knowing the basic sex terms in Portugues will definitely come a long way. Phrases like: Ativo - Top Passivo - Bottom Versatil - Versatile Ativo liberal - Someone who prefers to top sometimes will bottom under the right circumstances (this is incidentally my sweet spot and my preference of guy in the saunas) Beija bem? - Do you kiss well? Você faz o que? - What do you do/what sexual positions do you do? Quanto? - How much? Chupar - suck Vai me comer? - Will you fuck me? Gozar/Com gozar - to Cum, with cum (sometimes a negotiating tactic) There are a lot of more words to mention, but this should get you started. 3. When using Google Translate, keep it simple. One mistake people often make while using Google Translate is the usage of complex sentences with colloquialisms and jargon that translate differently from what you mean. For example, let’s say your new Brazilian boyfriend invited you to a party tonight. You just realized that your butt is sore due to the non-stop pounding you just received from that 10 inch dick. You take you phone and type in the sentence “Can I get a raincheck? meaning that you can’t go now but would want to be invited the next time he goes. The translation will be wrong of course, as raincheck is a colloquialism that means something else when directly translated. But just putting in something as simple as “Next time" is good enough to convey the point across. Complex sentences with multiple clauses will more than likely confuse the algorithm of the translator, resulting in garbled translation. Break it up into simpler and more digestible phrases will come a long way. 4. When negotiating price, best way is through your phone. If you’re not familiar on how to count in Portugues, best way to show how much one is willing to pay or to get paid, is to use your phone’s calculator app and putting in the amount to show them, or for them to show you. Sometimes boys will try to say the amount in English but it is sometimes wrong. It’s easy enough to say duzentos when saying 200 reais but when in doubt, use your calculator. Also the calculator’s font size is big enough to get the point across. 5. Don’t use your phone to translate when outside Using your phone to translate inside the sauna or bar or restaurant or hotel room is fine because it is secure. But say you and you paramour are walking hand-in-hand on Rua Augusta and you had the urge to tell your boy how much you love the feeling of his cum shooting inside your butt, but you don’t know how. Don’t just whip pout your phone in the middle of the street and start typing away on Google Translate! That’s the easiest way to get your phone snatched. It can wait till you are inside where it is more secure. I think I’ve covered most of what I feel will help you. In time you will learn the language through immersion, if you are open to it of course. I feel that my experience in Brazil has improved 100 times more significantly by learning the language and connecting with the people. The cellphone is a blessing and a curse: it allows us to communicate with people that we otherwise will have difficulty understanding, but at the same token, having a cellphone with you at all times makes the experience weird and impersonal, at least for me. Besides, it’s better to put down that cellphone to two-hand that 10 inch monster you just paid duzentos reais for.

I just spent around 10 days in HK at the end of May of this year. Last time I was there it was a few years ago and I remembered how great Hutong was. So i definitely wanted to check it out again. My impression is that the facilities continue to remain top-notch and really clean. Crowd-wise though, that allure of exclusivity that Hutong used to have ( and the discriminatory entry policy that came with it) are now gone. Out-of-shape or guys in their 40s and 50s make up a good chunk of the crowd now. (A local twink I hooked up with told me explicitly: "I don't go to Hutong anymore, too many uncles in there"), Having said that, it still attracts a huge crowd, so you can find plenty of cute local twinks, if you're into that. Plenty of group action or just watching in the inner dark rooms. Price is a bit steep, around 258 HKD. Went there on a Saturday night at around 7:45 PM. It was already quite full. Peak crowd was reached around 9:00PM. It got so packed, almost should-to-shoulder. People started to leave from around 10-10:30PM. Had fun with 3 guys in cabins but played with 3-4 more in the dark rooms. Overall, I would still rank it in my top 5 saunas and definitely the best in HK. A note of interest about Hutong: it has one night when guys U-25 can enter for free. I saw the sign at the entrance advertising that. Most of it was in Chinese, so I just assumed that day was actually Saturday. However, I was with a local guy on Monday night and as were on the bed talking, i mentioned Hutong and he goes and says: "well, you should have gone tonight, young guys enter for free" I replied by saying that I saw the sign and that I assumed that was on Saturday. He replies: "It's definitely not Saturday, I think it's Monday" So If I was you I would do more research and then maybe try to also go on a Monday, beside the weekend. The next day after Hutong, I also visited two more saunas in HK, both near Causeway Bay. The first one, My Way sauna, according to what I read online was supposed to be popular with the young and in-shape crowd that weren't happy anymore with Hutong. They recommend to go on a Sunday evening as it's naked night. The reviews also mentioned that it was the most "sticky rice" of all the saunas. I get there around 6:00PM. The place is actually quite small, but what was worse was that there weren't more than 15 people in the whole sauna and around 5-6 of them were definitely not young but more around in their late 40s. Everyone was in-shape at least. Stayed there around 1.5 hours. Only 3 more people came during that period. There was pretty much no action in the whole sauna. Just people standing and walking around. Left a bit disappointed and decided to head to Soda Sauna, 5 minutes walk from My Way. The online reviews for it were also very good. Found the place not much bigger than the previous sauna but there were around 50 people in there. However, I ended up being the youngest guy in there. Mostly were mid-to-late 40s, but you could see some in their 60s. Stayed only around 35 minutes in there. Only when I was all dressed up and handled my key, a cute twink enters the sauna. We exchange looks for a good minute but it was already too late for me. So it's clearly I had the best time at hutong but there is a chance than the other two saunas are also good ( and cheap, in both I paid only 100HKD) and I just went at the wrong time or day so you might want to try them for yourself. I have read that Gateway sauna is also quite popular. HK has quite a high number of gay saunas actually, quite the opposite to Taipei where Soi13 has no direct rivals (Han's Men aims mostly to mature guys). This though sometimes it's not advantageous as it just spreads out the crowd, while in Taipei you know where to go if you are into local young guys. Anyway, if you end up going to any sauna in HK, please write a report on this site, as it's definitely lacking that kind of info for a great city like HK.

In case you like to explore off-the-beaten path destinations, here is a summary of my five nights in Goiânia (120 miles southwest of Brasilia): ● Goiânia has 1.5 million residents, 2.6 in the metro area (roughly the same size as Porto Alegre). As about the 12th largest metro, it should have a sufficient base to support a GP sauna and it does: Thermas Botafogo. ● Thermas Botafogo: Address, photos here. Website here but more info on Facebook. Instagram here. PROS: ● Fairly large facility. In the photo, you can see the spacious, airy bar area. Big lockers. Downstairs level has steam, sauna, and rooms (most with showers). It also has an amusing "dark room" that always had the lights on (and no people). ● Low prices. Rooms 25. GPs can be 100 (local price). One guy seemed very happy with the 20 extra tip. ● Owner Márcio is a good, friendly guy. ● Saturday night was packed with over three dozen clients and maybe 12 or more GPs. That ratio is not bad because many men come to have a beer with friends and not bed anybody. Also, my estimate of GPs is inexact because some guys I thought were clients were GPs. I later learned that GPs are supposed to have locker keys with a thin red rubber band on their wrist, but not all do. Clients have thin black bands. ● Saturday night had a fairly good variety of GPs. Two or three were especially handsome. Saturday nights are billed as party with a (happily) short lipsync show. DISAPPOINTMENTS: ● Wednesday and Thursday nights only one star GP (Fabio) was there to save the night amid the half-dozen Italian-looking GPs in their 30s with bellies and no pecs (who might have been hot 10 years ago). ● Friday and Sunday were better than Wed/Thurs but did not match Saturday. ● Goiânia itself was disappointing. The art deco "district" is in sad, crumbling decline. The art galleries were closed for renovation. And the Oscar Niemeyer Cultural Center is a mess. It has to be the least interesting architecture the man ever designed, acres of concrete with a few third-rate Brasilia reruns (although it looks OK from one distant vantage point). ● As RioBard noted previously, "Pirenópolis and Cidade de Goiás are two colonial/gold towns worth visiting." Alas, each is a couple of hours away, and I was not eager to spend four hours RT in a car for a day trip. SUGGESTIONS: Just so! If you like that gamble, you may like a long weekend in Goiânia. Perhaps combine it with a short flight up to Brasilia if you've never been. For me the Goiânia gamble paid off, with two GP gems that I plan to keep in touch with. But otherwise I would have struck out.
