I would never ever understand certain people's propensity to be adversarial every single turn instead of being helpful and respectful of other's views, even if the agreement isn't there. There is always a way to disagree without being disagreeable, and the message will be received much better this way instead of having this unnecessary bullshit. Ultimately, this says more about the poster and his (online) character, than the poster's intent to prove his or her point. But what can I say, I am an eternal optimist, and will always think that all people are capable of kindness and consideration towards other people. At the end of the day, we are all human beings, with our own struggles and concerns, and showing a little kindness towards other people isn't that fucking hard.

Asking for help in bad times is not a scam but a plea for assistance. We're all free to honor or reject them. Money boys may disappoint us in that they fail to live up to our cultural norms or expectations, but that doesn't constitute scamming. If someone perceives money boys, et al., as would-be scammers I think they'd be better off finding a place where they don't.

From Pattaya News Robbery Incident Against Kuwaiti Tourists Turns Out to Be Bad Prank A male foreigner was seen in a viral video clip flaunting a gun at a group of Kuwaiti tourists and allegedly robbing them at a famous viewpoint in Pattaya on August 2nd. However, it later turned out that the whole harrowing incident was just a bad “prank” orchestrated by the Kuwaiti tourists themselves, according to the Pattaya police. In a 1.39-minute-long video recording, a man who appeared to be in his 20s to 30s and of foreign descent was seen. He was dressed in a black shirt, dark trousers, and stood at approximately 170 centimeters tall. The man held a pistol and ordered to line up and sit down a group of more than 10 foreign tourists, who bore a resemblance to Middle Eastern men. The man seemed to be threatening the tourists with his weapon. Led by police chief Pol Col Thanapong Phothi, the police officers collected CCTV recordings of the incident and interviewed nearby vendors for more clues. The new evidence, however, led to an unexpected turn of events as the police discovered that the entire harrowing robbery was just a bad joke pulled by the Kuwaiti tourists themselves, stated Pol Col Thanapong. Mr. Kyaw and Mr. Nay claimed that they were smoking tobacco at the viewpoint, when they were approached by a group of 10-15 Kuwaiti tourists seen in the video, who raced their motorbikes up to the viewpoint. Democrats were brutally punished for it in 1946. But by 1948 the inflation had abated. And the recession, which pretty much started around election day, was mild. I'd argue the MAGAverse fun show of 2023 makes the "Do Nothing Congress" of 1947 look like a paragon of governance by comparison. So Biden's path to victory is a misery index of 6 % or so. Which may be in reach. But a brutal recession coming soon to a state near you is Trump's best hope of winning. So I think Biden is doing the right thing. Focus on what he got done in Alabama. And what he wants to do to finish the job. He will still be punished if people think "finishing the job" means going from inflation to recession. But if it means going to a misery index of 6 %, especially low inflation, they'll probably go for for more years. If the alternative is four more years of MAGAverse and McCarthyism, it doesn't really leave much choice.

i just returned from Taipei and learned officiallythis evening that the upgrade to 20 years with be withdrawn as reported on August 15. When you take out a membership, it is usual in most service organisations I know of for the benefits of that membership to remain for the period of the membership - unless fees are not paid, the member commits a crime and other understanable causes. I can think of no instances where the terms of the membership are unilateraly changed during its currency. Not so Thailand Elite. I suppose its managers fail to understand that the primary reason for the spike in memberships was an understanding on behalf of a lot of people that it would be easier to enter the country during covid. No doubt they will now jack up the price and be astonished in due course when membership falls again! After all, it was such a turkey for so many years there was talk of it being cancelled altogether. And given the minuscule two-week notice of changes given by the mandarins at Thailand Elite, do not be surprised if new retirement financial regulations come in with a minimum of notice. That, if I recall correctly, is that happened when the 800,000 baht in an account for three months prior to application for a new annual visa was thrown out and it suddenly became 800,000 baht unspent in an account for 5 months reducing to 400,000 upspent for the rest of the year. Zoomer was closed today and may stay that way as the owner Charlie has taken over the management of Dodo Bar in Jomtien Complex, as well as already operating the nearby Sunee Bar adjacent to the Venue Show Bar. Charlie is also going to open a go go bar in Sunee Plaza in October across from Winner Bar. Two interesting poles on podiums went up at the front of B.N Bar in the Jomtien Complex over the last few days so I will looking to see if they are being used when i visit there tonight. I have suggested this idea in the past to other bar owners. We cannot have go go bars in the Complex because of the local bylaws but i see no reason why we cannot have boys danciing on a podium to attract customers. Polls mean very little at this time, IMO. Though the gaggle of GOP candidates have been on the campaign trail for months, the Biden campaign hasn't begun yet. Typically, the Presidential primary campaigns don't start ot ramp-up until after Labor Day the year preceding the primaries. Yes, the poll numbers don't look good for Biden, but they'll change. The country will remain divided no matter who the General Election candidates are. Trump? It's anyone's guess what will happen with him. His trial on the Federal indictments aren't likely to be decided before the election, which, if Trump is the GOP candidate, gives an advantage to Biden and/or the Dems. If he's convicted in Georgia or NY, or both, all the better for the Dems. Biden? I hope someone with influence is working on a Plan B, if he's out of the race. VP Harris is an important running mate if only to help with the turn-out of black voters. It's a political lifetime between now and the General election. Anything can happen, on short notice.
