Thanks for the above suggestions! Day 1 so landed in Suvarnabhumi airport in the afternoon. Immigration was quite fast, probably about 10 minutes or so. Then took a cab to my time and trusted Le Meridien hotel. I love the hotel because its nice and no issues bringing your guest back to the room. Arena Massage I always go here first because its one of the nearest to my hotel. This time I took a grab there instead of walking, although its only less than a km. In the past i always walk there under the sun and the walk always gets me horned up and sweaty thinking of whats to come. This time I arrived freshly showered. Menu for 1h 1.5h and 2h. Masseur tip for 1.5h was 1200 requested - i think by far one of the lowest ive seen. Oil massage for 1.5h was 790, aromatherapy was 990. Silly me chose aromatherapy, not much difference to oil. Furthermore I chose peppermint oil flavour (idk why man) which awkwardly caused a bit of burn to my c0ck when applied. Will go for oil in future. Upon entering, over 10 shirtless zaddies staring at me. Gosh this always makes me gulp like im taking a viva exam. I saw a masseur i had before - Nuk. He is handsome, muscular, has a hot tattoo, hot abs and he is very nice, and does a good hard massage. i love how arena has a unique vibe. I would describe it as oily, sweaty, mechanic, gym vibe. This aint a romantic boyfriend restaurant. Your shirtless oiled up car mechanic is here to pound you and you say yes sir and pay him anyway. Pic of my room. Basic but serves its purpose. I had a lovely massage, was hard and sensual, really felt relaxed after, and I was feeling his hard oiled up body and groping all over yums. Just so hottt to see a hot guy being all oiled up and over you. 2000 in tips to boy. R3 Sauna Grabbed over to R3 sauna. I checked with their line account before hand whether there was any parties happening. O parties at R3 fri sat, sauna mania foam party on sunday. I love attending these parties because its a chaotic hot mess. About 10 hot models, some were fucking each other. And then the public joins in. There was this super hot model that i suscribed to onlyfans for awhile back, and he “acted” in several thai scenes. Went to grope and lick him heh. But he was so popular there was a whole queue of people lining up to fuck him. It was so hot to just see this super hot model taking it from anyone who wants to fuck him, including obviously less hot guys. Kind of a kink ha. There were people fucking and getting fucked by models, sucking, groping all over. Hot Chaotic mess. I was probably exhausted from the recent massage so mainly eye powered and groped around instead. Dreamboys Bar Grabbed back to silom and went to dreamboys. 500 for entrance + drink. I came abit late like 11pm. Shows ongoing till 1am. Was quite full house and lots of boys. Now there was a little bit of drama. I saw a guy that I offed before, and although we had lots of fun previously, he kept asking for money months after we met over the apps. So I didnt really respond back because I didnt really know what to respond. Then now in the bar with him around and waving to me i got nervous and didnt really want to off anyone else, although there wasn’t any that I was like super super interested in, there were few guys my type. LOL. Anyways, stayed to have a look around at people offing boys, 1 or 2 decent routines with hot shirtless guys. I left empty handed at 1am sadly. Jackd After showering and lying on my bed I thought to myself, did I really just left a bar empty handed on a friday night. So I opened the apps and not long after, found a hot muscular abs zaddy on Jackd. 2500 he quoted. Only took him about 20 minutes to comeover. Finally had my hot full on sex meal for the day. I told him I liked kissing and we ended up making out like forever, licking his hot body and abs and sucking each other. And I ended day 1 at 3am with a goodnights sleep.7 points

I also visited Pattaya on one of my first visits to Thailand. It was in the early 1980s just as the gay scene was starting to develop. I enjoyed the beach, but during the infrequent visits I have made since then the beach has become a reason for not visiting. I realise it's close to Bangkok but I like a beach to be a proper beach with white sand and great clean water. The Thai guys who'd come down in the late afternoon were certainly an added attraction. But in those days, there were a few go-go bars in Bangkok with great young guys and nudity after around 9:30 pm. But not in Pattaya. Hence Bangkok was more interesting. And so it has remained. That said, I did enjoy staying at the small, isolated 6 bungalow Le Prive on Thappraya Soi 1 when it was run by the two French guys. Not sure what it is like now. I also enjoyed staying at the Rabbit Resort and Deborah's always warm welcome. Both were easy to bring gay nighttime visitors. I did visit some of the bars but apart from a couple I still found Bangkok more interesting and enjoyable. Now I am more settled down, even the Bangkok bars in their new locations hold little interest. But I still love a great beach. I used to love Nai Harn and some other beaches in Phuket but not since the real tourism invasion a decade or so ago. Have written elsewhere that I think Khao Lak is wonderful for its peace and fantastic beach. Few in Thailand though have equalled the beach on nearby Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam. It is actually relatively close as it is located just under Sihanoukville.3 points -

From VN Express Southeast Asia has recently emerged as an ideal hub for global retirees thanks to its tropical weather and cheap cost of living, but only four countries now offer visas specifically for global retirees. Indonesia, Southeast Asia's largest economy, offers a visa for elderly and retired individuals with a period of one year, which can be renewed annually for up to five years. Those holding the retirement visa are not allowed to work in Indonesia. To be eligible for the visa, foreigners aged 55 years and above, who can provide a guarantee letter from a tourism board as a guarantor, are required to show a proof of at least $1,500 a month in funds and health insurance. They also need to submit a proof of accommodation in Indonesia and proof of having employed an Indonesian maid or domestic helper. Since 2002, Malaysia has launched a retirement visa policy called "Malaysia My Second Home Program" in which applicants are divided into age-based categories of 25 to 49 years and 50 years and above. The visa program allows foreigners to live in Malaysia for up to 10 years. Those under the age of 50 must have liquid assets worth a minimum of RM500,000 ($118,500) and an offshore income of at least RM10,000 ($2,370) per month. For those from 50 and above, they are required to have at least RM350,000 in liquid assets and an offshore income of at least RM10,000 per month. Obtaining a retirement visa in Malaysia enables foreign retirees to purchase a house, set up their business and get a domestic helper. Thailand recently introduced a special policy for retirees aged 50 years and over with a 10-year multiple entry renewable visa, fast-track service at Thai airports, tax exemption for overseas income and a work permit among other privileges. To be eligible for the visa policy, foreign retirees are required to have an annual pension or stable income of at least $80,000 per year at the time of application. The Philippines, home to more than 64,000 foreign retirees, has launched a Special Residence Retiree's Visa program, allowing wealthy foreigners to hold a multiple-entry visa and the right to reside in the Philippines indefinitely. For those at least 50 years old and above, they need to have a deposit of $10,000 and a monthly pension of $800. Deposits for applicants aged 35 to 49 years old was $50,000 while those aged from 50 and above who do not receive monthly pension need to have a deposit of $20,000.2 points

My first trip to Thailand was to Pattaya. Subsequently, i tried Phuket, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, all of which had promising reports regarding encounters with Thais, and each proved to have its own distinctive charms. However, none has replaced Pattaya. The one thing that continued to drew me to Bkk was Babylon. Specifically the "old" Babylon. But even the new one gave me hours of pleasure- and often surprising delights ("Does this guy really fancy me? Me? Surely not!"). It was the best sauna I've ever attended. And I've tried quite a few around the world. Now that it has gone, there remains just one Bkk experience which ensures that I always spend a day or two there; the sheer thrill of arrival at the airport and then the drive into Surawong...the clammy heat as the doors slide open and I look for a taxi, the sights, smells, sounds. After nearly eighty visits, it still sets the pulse racing. And the bars? I 'm years out of date but i was (and remain) a twink-lover and this was a good reason to prefer Pattaya. Not that there weren't once enjoyable twink-bars in Bkk, but to me they just didn't compare to what was on offer in Pattaya. From what I've read here, Bkk still seems to be more suitable for admirers of hunkier guys.2 points

While Pattaya is hardly more inconvenient to get to from Suvarnabhumi compared to downtown Bangkok, the play options in Pattaya simply don't compare, especially with the two-decade long decline of the scene. It's not as if Pattaya/Jomtien is such a great beach either. Between a mediocre scene and a mediocre beach, I can see why it's losing its attractiveness. And the traffic on second road, with interminable roadworks... Now that's another thing.2 points -
Yes, Pattaya has a nice breeze because of its location. I always can’t wait to leave Bangkok because of the heat and pollution. My condo in Pattaya has an incredible feel because of the cross ventilation when I open my bedroom window and the balcony.2 points

One thing I've learned traveling in a country like Brasil...nothing good happens after midnight, like Gremlins. Any issues I've had all happened after midnight.....If I find someone I like in the Sauna, I take them back to my room and we continue drinking there or go to dinner and back to my place. Since I've adopted that strategy, zero problems 😉 Only 1 sauna in SP worth going to with rent guys, Lagoa...I used to stay in Republica area but the Airbnb's have gottel too strict not allowing guests that aren't pre-registered. I know Totally Oz stayed at the Intercontinental, which isn't cheap, but they treated his guys just the same as a guest. Heritage hotel seems not to say anything if you enter with someone as long as they don't look like a homeless person. Splitting the trip would depend on where you're flying into/out of SP has better restaurants as well....2 points -

From Travel and Leisure In the ancient city of Luang Prabang, even popular spots feel intimate. Boats cruise the Mekong River — almost all head out around golden hour and cruise through twilight — yet it seems as if you’re floating alone on this iconic waterway, which flows from China to Vietnam and through Northern Laos on its way. As I lay on the wooden deck of a traditional slow boat, one that Sofitel Luang Prabang uses for guests, I watched the outline of the hills in the distance, and in the foreground, fishermen standing on their respective sampans. For a moment, time stood still; it was just the fishermen, me, and the Mekong. Visitor numbers have surged here in recent months (mostly due to the border with neighboring China reopening), but Luang Prabang remains relatively under the radar among U.S. travelers. Should someone arrive in the Laotian capital of Vientiane, they can access Luang Prabang via a new high-speed rail link that takes just two hours; the route will soon continue north and up to China. However, if you’re like me, you will fly in from Bangkok. From there, Air Asia and Bangkok Airways offer daily service for the less than two-hour flight to Vientiane. Some 500,000 people, across more than 60 different ethnic groups, call Luang Prabang home, the Khmu, Lao Loum, and Hmong being the largest Indigenous nations. People here live a decidedly laid-back and unhurried life. It’s a stark contrast to, say, Bangkok or Saigon, neighboring Southeast Asian cities that offer international flights to this former royal capital. In early May, the region was hot and steamy, the sky a hazy grayish-blue and permanently on the cusp of a storm that would provide temporary relief. I spent my early mornings and late evenings on the quietest streets of Luang Prabang, which you’ll find on the promontory of the historic district between the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers, east of the Royal Palace. These streets contain the largest number of heritage buildings and are a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the markets. The morning market, operating from around 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. daily, is located in a mini-maze of alleys and backstreets near the center of town. It’s the place to be if you want to get a taste of how people here really live. Most of the vendors — who sell everything from grilled sticky rice (khao jee) and mung bean coconut rice cakes to sun-cured pork naem, plus the day’s catch — are set up on the ground. The night market operates from around 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily and is more of a tourist-focused affair, with an array of vendors setting up shop on streets that are closed to cars. While the red and blue tents along the main thoroughfare sell souvenirs and art pieces, the market has street food galore as well, like Laotian baguettes, laap, and green papaya salad. If by suk, you mean Sukhumvit, there's absolutely no gay action in the area. Try Silom/ Suriwong. Have fun.1 point

If you want to be in the middle of action, you should stay in Surawong/Silom area. The higher end choice is Le Meridien. Tarntawan is also a popular choice thought a bit older. But cheaper price can compensate that. And there is a newcomer Ibis Styles on Silom Rd seems good and close to both actions and BTS station.1 point

If you are only 30 years old and decent looking, what do you need with money boys at all? You should be able to use the hookup apps or just pick up boys just about anywhere in Thailand and not be asked to pay them a thing. I doubt you would have any problems about using a condom and asking the boys to use a condom. Unless this is just another hoax, you should place yourself, with photos, on the apps right now. You'll have more offers than you can handle before you even go.1 point

It's only one 1.5 hours drive from BKK , Why not just pay a visit and check ? I personally prefer Pattaya : beaches ( Kho Larn beutiful island only half hour sailing), vibrant night life lots of restaurants and great shopping malls and of course many boys and cheaper than Bangkok. In general I don't like big cities because of the air pollution and traffic.1 point

I live in Germany and I have heard homophobic comments targeted to me from immigrants and non-immigrants. But I realize that the only ideological threat to my life comes mostly from the radicalized islam. In Germany, I am not aware of radicalized catholics, lutherans, budhist or similar who are hunting gays. Might be different in US. Deutsche Welle: A 21-year-old Syrian man was found guilty of murder on Friday, seven months after a fatal knife attack on a gay couple. A court in the eastern German city of Dresden sentenced him to life in prison. The man, identified as Abdullah A. in accordance with German privacy regulations, was classified as an Islamist threat by investigators. He attacked two German men in October 2020, killing one 55-year-old and seriously injuring his 53-year-old partner. Prosecutors said he was motivated by religious-inspired homophobia. Prosecutors had asked for the maximum sentence with a determination of the special gravity of guilt. The defense team had argued that he should treated under the more lenient juvenile criminal law. How did the crime unfold? The men, both from the western German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, were on an e-bike holiday in Dresden. They had been together for more than eight years and hoped to move in together after their trip. The offender had just been released from juvenile detention for a 2018 conviction on promoting the Islamic State (IS) terrorist network and plotting attacks. Upon his release, he acquired two brand-new kitchen knives from a supermarket. Carrying them in his backpack, he was allegedly on a mission to "kill infidels." Half an hour later he allegedly found his targets. "Suddenly there was a blow, a complete surprise, in the back," the surviving victim told investigators. The aftermath was a blur. "I can't remember anything and, to be honest, I'm glad I don't." The offender said he was motivated by the victim's sexuality. He said the couple were committing a "grave sin" and wanted to punish them for it with death.1 point
