Well said. Furthermore, some people like me like the hunt, whereas a friend who lives in Bangkok wants it quick and easy, he doesn't even look further than 2 km away on online dating because arranging travel would be too much hassle/delay. In Cambodia I did statistics, offering 10 USD I got 50% accepting, for 20 USD I would get 90% accepting. For Thailand I estimate 1000 THB 50% accepting, 1500 THB 90% accepting.5 points -
Pattaya eyes all-night entertainment
floridarob and 3 others reacted to reader for a topic
From Pattaya Mail The government is considering allowing entertainment venues in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) provinces to open all night to boost tourism in the region. The proposal to allow entertainment venues to open 24 hours in the provinces of Chonburi, Chachoengsao, and Rayong was accepted by the cabinet on Tuesday. Damrongkiat Phinitkan, secretary of the Entertainment and Tourism Association of Pattaya City, expressed his optimism that the plan will benefit local companies and revitalize the region’s tourism economy. According to Damrongkiat, entrepreneurs in Pattaya have expressed readiness to comply with regulations if the plan is approved. He said that bars and restaurants could remain open until late at night, while walking streets may remain open until the early hours of the morning. He also assures that if the new guidelines are followed correctly, the operation of all-night entertainment establishments will have no negative impact on local communities. The secretary also expressed his belief that, if the plan is approved, Pattaya will be able to compete with other world-class tourism destinations in Europe, South Korea, and Japan. (NNT)4 points -

Just back to Bangkok, last visit January. Glad to see no tanks in streets, yet! Hoping to meet Vinapu in due course. Tried out Tawan last night, a disappointment. Only 6 customers, and middle aged models. No show. Wandered over to Screwboys, hoping for the old days. No customers, 6 boys, fully dressed, none attractive to me, so left. Tried Freshboys, better, good show, cocks on display, and ended up offing cute Lao waiter. Very satisfactory! Only wanted 2,000 for himself for short time. Plus bar fees. Gave tip, as he was good.3 points -
So, I have had a boy I have crushed on a while. He is a no sex massage but so handsome. He messaged me to tell me his new shop and it is called District 39 Massage. I contacted them via LINE and they will not talk about sex and says not something they offer. Anyone with experience with this place? In that case I'll be glad to let you hook up with me - and I'll charge only 1000 baht. If you are particularly good, I'll discount it to 800 baht . . .1 point

If you are only 30 years old and decent looking, what do you need with money boys at all? You should be able to use the hookup apps or just pick up boys just about anywhere in Thailand and not be asked to pay them a thing. I doubt you would have any problems about using a condom and asking the boys to use a condom. Unless this is just another hoax, you should place yourself, with photos, on the apps right now. You'll have more offers than you can handle before you even go.1 point

One thing I've learned traveling in a country like Brasil...nothing good happens after midnight, like Gremlins. Any issues I've had all happened after midnight.....If I find someone I like in the Sauna, I take them back to my room and we continue drinking there or go to dinner and back to my place. Since I've adopted that strategy, zero problems 😉 Only 1 sauna in SP worth going to with rent guys, Lagoa...I used to stay in Republica area but the Airbnb's have gottel too strict not allowing guests that aren't pre-registered. I know Totally Oz stayed at the Intercontinental, which isn't cheap, but they treated his guys just the same as a guest. Heritage hotel seems not to say anything if you enter with someone as long as they don't look like a homeless person. Splitting the trip would depend on where you're flying into/out of SP has better restaurants as well....1 point -

It's only one 1.5 hours drive from BKK , Why not just pay a visit and check ? I personally prefer Pattaya : beaches ( Kho Larn beutiful island only half hour sailing), vibrant night life lots of restaurants and great shopping malls and of course many boys and cheaper than Bangkok. In general I don't like big cities because of the air pollution and traffic.1 point

was that part of the whole UK football game meeting? Or the Dubai meeting with Tony? After saying they would never join with parties from the former junta coalition they will get a good bit of blowback. Ultimately it's going to be difficult to get much done. I thought the PT candidate said they wouldn't ditch MFP. I guess we'll find out soon enough.1 point

Like the way he worded his response: will not talk about sex and says not something they offer. I read that to mean it's like going into a restaurant and asking in they can prepare something not on the menu. Although I could have easily missed it, I gave the website a quick review and I didn't see "tipping" discussed. Leads me to believe that may be between masseur and customer. Even if it's simply as advertised, I'd give it a try.1 point

I had the same understanding. Thinking back over several decades, though, I recall that 'twinks' in the countries I have lived in or visited most often - Japan, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore - were mostly not entirely smooth/hairless. Veyr few had hair on their chests but most had hair on their legs. Some, especially from parts of Japan, just happened to be particularly hairy on arms, legs and to a certain extent chests. I do find most of the guys I meet in Taiwan have very little body hair. To me, smooth means almost no hair anywhere. I like the more recent fashion of waxing genitals so the torso is entirely smooth. One of the most intense sexual experiences I had was with a young guy I had noticed when dining at Dick's on Soi Twilight. He worked for a bar almost directlly across the soi which had a sort of computer theme. We started by smilng at each other across the soi on several occasions. When I finally took him home, he quite literally had no hair anywhere on his body apart from the tiniest genital bush.1 point

I’ve seen YouTube shorts interview of gay lads Interviewer: are you a Twink? guy: oh no, not anymore. I’m already 25. interviewer: oh so where do you go from here? A cub? guy: (flippantly) I dunno, maybe I’ll go to Italy anyway, is twink age bound as well? 😂1 point -
I want to thank desi-scottish for posing this question, and not because I'm planning to go to Pattaya for the first time ever. I'd always thought of all twinks as being smooth. But when I reconsidered the question I began to wonder how a smooth twink differed from your--or my--average twink. So I Googled "smooth twink" and landed on a website that set me straight--metaphorically speaking. There I learned that it means with little or no body hair (I'm assuming that exceptions are made for the genitals although I'm aware that some prefer them to be clean shaven even down there). Just as I was about to move on, I read a bit more and learned that there are far more categories of men than I had ever contemplated. Of course I was familiar with twink, hunk, bear and twunk. That seemed enough for the 60+ years after I had my first nocturnal emission. But the website extended that foursome to include another 10 or so. I suppose they had a point that I'd simply overlooked. But when they introduced me to otters and wolves I decided that they'd put too much on my plate. After thinking some more about all this I decided that I'm not gay at all; I just happen to like "men". Feel free to explore further: https://pairedlife.com/dating/Gay-Men-Are-you-a-Jock-Otter-Bear-or-Wolf1 point

Unfortunately I think it also reflects somewhat badly on Khun Pita. Everyone in the elite and in politics knows exactly what happened with Thaksin's share scandal and how he could never have been Prime Minister without substantial bribes to at least some of the members of the Constitutional Court. The fact is he lied on his paperwork, he lied to the media about his shareholding and he should have been booted out of parliament. But he was also aware that his fortune would only be infinitesimally reduced to pay off the Court members. There was also more recently another parliamentarian (I'm sorry I can recall neither the name nor the party) who was disqualified for virtually the same reason. Khun Pita knew the rules and if he had really wanted to become PM, he would have had a group of his close associates go through all his past history to ensure this shares nonsense was not allowed to happen. Of course, had it not been for the shares debacle, the Constitutional Court would have found some other reason. But through his inaction he has more or less guaranteed more street demonstrations and perhaps in due course yet another army coup.1 point

I guess these Senators really don't have any incentive to vote for anyone until they get to some old general or other. I wonder if PT creates another coalition without MFP, would MFP go ahead and vote for the PT candidate just to get things moving forward, as it were.1 point

Court suspends Pita as MP
Ruthrieston reacted to fedssocr for a topic
I think partly it's because no one raised any objections previously with respect to the media shares. After all he's been an MP since the last election so no one cared about it when he was an ordinary MP. I suspect that he probably didn't think much about it since the company has been defunct for years and his shares are so few, etc. But I agree that I had the same thoughts. It does somewhat point out the inexperience of the party though.1 point -

Court suspends Pita as MP
Ruthrieston reacted to PeterRS for a topic
We all know that at least some members of the Constitutional Court are corrupt. After all, Thaksin senior held shares in his own media company but had parked them temporarily with his garener and housekeeper. He then bribed the Court which ruled 4 to 3 that he could in fact hold office. The ridiculous charge against Khun Pita shows that nothing has changed, except perhaps that Pita is not prepared to go down the corruption route. From what I read, the Senators' main concern - apart from the fact that most of them would probably find themselves out of a job - is Move Forward's policy determination to change the draconian lese majeste law. Clearly a majority of the country's electors agree, but this was certainly a red rag to a bull for the army appointed geriatrics. Although the party's stance was modified after the election win, I can't help feeling that had this modified platform been in the original manifesto it would have still satisfied the electorate and made it more difficult for current senators to object. Then again, Pita or someone in his entourage must surely have been aware that he held these media shares and that this could only result in instant disqualification whether or not the company was in fact broadcasting. After all this has had happened before. Why they were not sold prior to his submitting his eligibiliity papers is surely a mystery, but one that will I'm certain have voters out on the streets again. And if that gets ugly, just stand by and wait for the next military coup.1 point -

Food in most restaurants remains excellent value. The set meals in Japanese places like Fuji and Yayoi particularly so. We find it hard to pay more than 7/800 bht anywhere, though neither of us are drinkers and so that makes a difference. Dinner prices in London restaurants always shock me when I'm just home from Thailand!1 point -
It is a disadvantage if you want to stay somewhere in the neighborhood of truth. If Manchin is only going to get in to win, then I don't think he'll get in. He'd have a very tough uphill climb and would burn a lot of bridges to try. Threating to do it might get him something. Actually doing it, not so much.1 point

More a 3rd party candidate who would hand 2024 election to Trump. Manchin would take far more votes from Dems and Independents than from the Trump core.1 point

Saturday, Hot Male beer bar quite empty at 9 but hen started filling. Few new waiters, some really meaning business. Then our delegation numbering two braved stairs to upstairs gogo. At 9.30 almost empty several boys on stage, some quite attractive. Closer to the show spectators start crowding in. So early bird gets the worm as my companion did. I had somebody else in mind, so asked to call him over. Soon enough he showed up and our quarted left mid show, each duo their own way.1 point

Saturday (Day 14) - Poker night in hotel room with 3 Laos guys with loser drinking soju shots or stripping one piece of clothing. Winner of each round wins 100 baht. I met and got to know them over the years and had offed them individually. Last December during Christmas, all 3 were working at Banana and I took them back for poker party. 6 months later, one has upgraded to Jupiter (because he is most handsome among them) while another went back to Freshboys where he first started. The youngest had gone back to Laos but came back to Bangkok to work again at Banana just a few days ago. I had their Line accounts and told them in advance the plan for the night - pick up Jupiter Laos guy first followed by Banana Laos guy then they go to Foodland Patpong to order dinner while I pick up Freshboys Laos guy. As it was early at about 8.30pm, bars were empty and mamasans were flexible. They allowed me to just turn up at bar and no need to buy drink for myself. Just pay off fee. But it was my last night of this trip and feeling generous, I tipped the mamasans. Because the 3 Laos guys haven't met each other for a while now that they are working at different bars, it was awkward for them at first when we had dinner together at Foodland Patpong but once they got warmed up, it was like old times joking and having fun. After dinner, we walked as a group back to hotel, passing by Hotmale beer bar downstairs and I said bye to the staff there and see you again in December for Christmas. In hotel room, we thankfully didn't get any complaints from hotel because of too much noise. This time round, everyone had gotten wiser at poker so no one ended up stripped down to birthday suit. After finishing the soju and winning the money I prepared for them, they left happily. I went with them down to hotel lobby. We went our separate ways. I went to Tawan to off tall dark twink with glasses whom I had seen a few days ago. Very young only 19. Thai. Horny like crazy and kept begging to fuck me. Enjoyable session. Only downer is he asked for extra for taxi.1 point -

Friday (Day 13) - Karaoke night with three Hotmale Beer Bar downstairs staff and fellow forum member. Found out that Happy Beer Garden has karaoke room at back. It charges 200 baht per hour. Manageress saw our group and knew that we would be ordering food and beer and she gave us a special rate of 500 baht for room for whole night. We didn't sing for the whole night but were there from 8pm to 1am which was 5 hours. Had to stop at 1am because some of the guys were half drunk. I think about 20 bottles of Lao beer consumed. Fellow forum member and I were pleasantly surprised by how much the guys love to sing. We found out that Myanmese and Laos music are so interesting. Most are slow and folksy in nature but there are some fast songs with guitar solos. There was one song about Pakse - which was a city in Laos and the hometown of one of the guys. There's even a gay Myanmar pop song! Fellow forum member and I saw the music video which had ladies dancing and a guy singing and we didn't know what's so gay about it but maybe it's in the lyrics, which we of course didn't understand. Overall a pleasant change from the typical night at bar.1 point -
