Just back to Bangkok, last visit January. Glad to see no tanks in streets, yet! Hoping to meet Vinapu in due course. Tried out Tawan last night, a disappointment. Only 6 customers, and middle aged models. No show. Wandered over to Screwboys, hoping for the old days. No customers, 6 boys, fully dressed, none attractive to me, so left. Tried Freshboys, better, good show, cocks on display, and ended up offing cute Lao waiter. Very satisfactory! Only wanted 2,000 for himself for short time. Plus bar fees. Gave tip, as he was good.5 points -
I now do both, there are two advantages in being able to bottom as well as top. First, all money boys are now potentially open to you in the bars and apps. Not many straight tops will bottom, but a large number of gay bottoms will also top if requested. Second as you get older (I shall be 70 next year), I frankly haven't the energy and libido to be able to top as often as I used to be able to do. So now when in Pattaya I will probably do two short-times a day, one as top and the other as bottom. I am happy, the money boys are happy: win win! đ5 points

I think partly it's because no one raised any objections previously with respect to the media shares. After all he's been an MP since the last election so no one cared about it when he was an ordinary MP. I suspect that he probably didn't think much about it since the company has been defunct for years and his shares are so few, etc. But I agree that I had the same thoughts. It does somewhat point out the inexperience of the party though.3 points -

Food in most restaurants remains excellent value. The set meals in Japanese places like Fuji and Yayoi particularly so. We find it hard to pay more than 7/800 bht anywhere, though neither of us are drinkers and so that makes a difference. Dinner prices in London restaurants always shock me when I'm just home from Thailand!3 points -
Even if they do wait and win big, the situation will remain exactly the same unless the Senators' role is changed. Thai democracy, sadly, is screwed for the foreseeable future.3 points

This is so stupid. All they had to do was wait a couple of days for the vote to play out. It's pretty clear that few of the Senators are going to vote for him. Everyone has already tipped their hands that PT is going to nominate the next candidate and essentially toss MFP out of the coalition. That's going to make people mad enough but using the constitution court this nakedly is just going to make it worse. I guess they're trying to make an example out of him (like they did with the predecessor party) so no one else will challenge the current order, but I think those horses have already left the barn. I am seeing more commentators suggest that MFP just needs to bide their time in the opposition and will win an overwhelming majority in the next election. But 4 years can be a long time and lots of things can happen.3 points

From The Nation Srettha ready to be next PM, suggests Pheu Thai may ditch Move Forward Srettha Thavisin, one of Pheu Thaiâs three prime ministerial candidates, suggested on Thursday that pulling out of the eight-party coalition led by the Move Forward Party could be inevitable and said he was ready to be Thailandâs next prime minister. âI am a PM candidate for Pheu Thai. I must be ready to take care of economic matters as assigned by the party,â he told reporters. A property tycoon turned politician, Srettha was also asked to comment on the possibility of âpushing Move Forward out of the coalitionâ after its PM candidate Pita Limjaroenrat failed to secure majority support from both Houses of Parliament. âThatâs simple math. You may count by yourself. Everyone knows about that,â he said, adding that it was âtoo earlyâ to conclude that Pheu Thai would nominate him for the parliamentary vote to select the next prime minister in a coalition that excluded Move Forward. Srettha said representatives from the eight coalition partners would soon discuss their next joint move. If they agree to allow Pheu Thai to nominate its candidate, the partyâs executive board would select one of its three PM candidates for the vote. At the joint parliamentary meeting on Wednesday, Pita was renominated for voting following his failed first attempt last Thursday. But most parliamentarians voted not to allow a second vote on the grounds that it was a repeated motion that should not be submitted in the same parliamentary session. Srettha said on Thursday that amending Article 112 of the Penal Code â also known as the lese majeste law â must not be a policy of a coalition led by Pheu Thai because it could prevent it from gaining votes from many MPs and senators. Political parties outside of the Move Forward-led coalition and several senators announced that they would not vote for any candidate from a party that seeks to abolish or amend the lese majeste law. Some senators argued that changes proposed by Move Forward would undermine the monarchy and national security. Srettha stressed that the eight-party coalition would âremain united until any changeâ. When asked if the coalition has done its utmost in backing Pitaâs bid to become prime minister, Srettha said: âLegally speaking, it seems to be so.â He also said that the coalition must be careful in nominating its next PM candidate as it has become a precedent that each candidate can be nominated only once during a parliamentary session.2 points

Court suspends Pita as MP
Ruthrieston reacted to reader for a topic
I don't believe this comes as much of a surprise to those who've been following events. From The Thai Enquirer Move Forward Party Leader, Pita Limjaroenrat, has been suspended from his duties as a Member of Parliament. The Constitutional Court made this decision in light of an ongoing investigation into his eligibility to hold office. The investigation stems from his ownership of 42,000 iTV shares. The Election Commission (EC) has stated that Pita may not meet the requirements for holding office due to his ownership of media shares, which is prohibited by the charter for political officeholders. As a result, the EC has requested the court to rule on Pitaâs eligibility in this matter. The court has given Pita a 15-day deadline to provide a statement clarifying the allegations against him. There is no verdict yet. Pita has previously argued that he holds the shares in iTV as an administrator of his fatherâs inheritance. Additionally, he claims that iTV ceased broadcasting in 2007. In June, iTV itself clarified that it is no longer involved in the media business. However, critics contend that although iTV may have stopped broadcasting, it has continued to generate income from other sectors within the media industry. Even if he is suspended, it does not mean he cannot be nominated for the position of Prime Minister. According to the charter, a Prime Minister does not have to be a Member of Parliament. [Correction] The previous version of the article erroneously stated that the decision was unanimous. However, it should be clarified that the vote was 7-2.1 point -

From The Nation The Pheu Thai Party would nominate Srettha Thavisin in the third round of the election for prime minister if Move Forward Party's PM candidate, Pita Limjaroenrat, fails to win the post in the second round on Wednesday, Pheu Thai PM candidate Paetongtarn Shinawatra said on Tuesday. She was commenting about the hypothetical scenario of Pita failing once again to secure at least 63 votes from senators or MPs outside the eight-party bloc. On Monday, all the coalition partners reaffirmed their stand to field and vote for Pita in the second round, while the coalition leader promised to step aside for the Pheu Thai to lead the coalition if he failed in his second bid to win the prime minister election. Paetongtarn said Pheu Thai would try its best to support Pita in the PM vote but if Pita fails, she would propose to a meeting of the Pheu Thai board to nominate Srettha in the next round of the PM vote after Pheu Thai becomes the coalition leader. Paetongtarn is the first PM candidate of Pheu Thai, Srettha the second and Chaikasem Nitisiri the third. âI donât want any post in the executive. All three PM candidates are willing to help with the work no matter what the position,â Paetongtarn said. She said that she was not aware of a group of Pheu Thai MPs from the northeastern provinces wanting to push her to the PM post but she admitted frankly that it would not be easy to lead the country in the current situation. âSo, I think the best choice is Srettha. He will be able to tackle the economic woes and solve various problems in no time if the Pheu Thai becomes the coalition leader. If not, Pheu Thai would still be willing to support the Move Forward-led coalition,â Paetongtarn said. She was confident that she would be able to explain the situation to the northeastern MPs.1 point

I had the same experience. I got the original Pfizer two dose and then one booster. 9 months later I picked up Covid during a convention - very light symptoms, worked from home for a few days but did not feel like I needed time off from work or to get additional rest. Felt like a mild cold. Asked my doctor if I needed another booster a few weeks ago (about a year after I got Covid) and he said nope - no need. Will reassess when winter comes in a few months.1 point

Navy to sack officer accused of ammo thefts From Bangkok Post The navy has decided to sack an officer for prolonged absence from work amid allegations that he had stolen large quantities of ammunition from a naval base in Chon Buri. The officer has been absent without leave since July 5, Royal Thai Navy spokesman Adm Pokkrong Monthatphalin said on Thursday. The navy will propose his dismissal to the Defence Ministry and seek a warrant for his arrest from the military court, he added. Sources said he was a chief petty officer second class, supervising an arsenal at the Sattahip Naval Base in Chon Buri. Adm Pokkrong said that a search at the suspectâs house on Wednesday found stolen cartridges, which proved that the officer at large had stolen rounds of ammunition from the base. It was reported earlier that the base had lost tens of thousands of M855 and M856 bullets for 5.56mm rifles and thousands of 40mm grenade launcher rounds. Adm Pokkrong said financial transactions indicated that the thefts had taken place over a long period of time. The suspect has turned off all his communication devices and is believed to be hiding in the country, the navy spokesman said.1 point

Court suspends Pita as MP
Ruthrieston reacted to PeterRS for a topic
We all know that at least some members of the Constitutional Court are corrupt. After all, Thaksin senior held shares in his own media company but had parked them temporarily with his garener and housekeeper. He then bribed the Court which ruled 4 to 3 that he could in fact hold office. The ridiculous charge against Khun Pita shows that nothing has changed, except perhaps that Pita is not prepared to go down the corruption route. From what I read, the Senators' main concern - apart from the fact that most of them would probably find themselves out of a job - is Move Forward's policy determination to change the draconian lese majeste law. Clearly a majority of the country's electors agree, but this was certainly a red rag to a bull for the army appointed geriatrics. Although the party's stance was modified after the election win, I can't help feeling that had this modified platform been in the original manifesto it would have still satisfied the electorate and made it more difficult for current senators to object. Then again, Pita or someone in his entourage must surely have been aware that he held these media shares and that this could only result in instant disqualification whether or not the company was in fact broadcasting. After all this has had happened before. Why they were not sold prior to his submitting his eligibiliity papers is surely a mystery, but one that will I'm certain have voters out on the streets again. And if that gets ugly, just stand by and wait for the next military coup.1 point -
Thailand Named Ninth-Best Retirement Destination

From Pattaya News Thailand ranked in ninth place among the best countries for retirement. This recognition comes from the International Living magazine, which publishes an annual Global Retirement Index ranking the best retirement destinations. Among the listed countries in the 2023 index, Thailand stands alongside Portugal, Mexico, Panama, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Spain, Greece, and France, and tied with Italy. Notably, Thailand is the only Asian country in this group. International Living has this to say about Thailand: âThailandâs expat appeal is that it offers an affordable cost of living yet manifests an enriched way of lifeâŚ. Probably the best deals to be had in Thailand are in real estate. Foreigners are able to buy condos very easily and there are bargains everywhereâŚ. Another enormous advantage to living in Thailand is by far the healthcare facilities.â1 point -

If you are elderly (which I am soon to be) and you need large font - an app is hardly going to be sufficient. In typical American fashion, I would file a complaint with the regulatory authority (Bank of Thailand). I wouldn't stop there either - would also send a letter of complaint to the Thai Assembly's standing committee on Finance if I did not get a satisfactory response from BoT. I have been in 24 a couple of times on each visit to Tokyo virtually since it opened. It's certainly big even though the layout and experience there is much the same as other saunas I used to go to. I'd also recommend 24 in Ueno, the second of the three 24s to be opened probably around 20 years ago. It's a smaller facility on several floors and tends to attract a more well-built and dare-I-say working class fractionally older type of crowd (late 20s to 40s I'd guess). It's also a good 15 minute walk from Ueno station. Haven't been in the original 24 close to the end of the Ginza subway line in Asakusa (not to be confused with Akasaka) and virtually at the back of the wonderful Senso-ji Temple for probably 2 decades. It was pretty run down then, on two floors and had quite a number of much older men. On the other hand, I recall also a lot of student types which struck me as odd because I cannot think of any universities being nearby. Unless the sauna has been renovated, I imagine it must be in a pretty rough condition. The faciities in 24 in Shinjuku are slightly different than as described by @hojacat. As you enter, there are the shoe lockers on the right which require you to deposit a ¼10 coin. Then you go to the ticket machine on the left of the reception desk, as you need to purchase a ticket before going further. If I recall correctly, the basic fee gives you something like 10 - 14 hours. Here also you'll pay extra for tickets to the private rooms. You then take the ticket and your shoe locker key to the reception desk which is low enough so that neither party sees the other's face. There you will be asked to give a name and handed a small basket with a large towel, long small towel and a yukata. The large towel is mostly for drying off as you are about to leave the sauna, although some patrons do use it as they walk around cruising. Several will don the yukata and walk around in that. On your way to the changing area, you will see a TV room on the left. This is purely for relaxing. The next floor has the bathing area. On one side there is a bank of low showers for washing thoroughly before proceding further. Hence the small towel! On the other side are two medium heat pools for relaxing and people watching. Many guys will be totally naked as the Japanese, unlike many in the west and in quite a few parts of Asia, have no hangups about walking around nude in such a setting. Proceeding through the washing area, you come to a much darker area. This has about 8 full sized shower cabins, some with glory holes, and some patrons will use these for sex. Also at this level is a pool with freezing cold water, a sauna, a totally dark steam room next to a room with a sling, a rainshower room and a more popular steam room with a little more light where there is often a lot of action usually involving a few guys. Most people walk around this area naked. As you leave, there is a small fast spin dryer for drying your small towel before taking it with you upstairs. This floor is closed for cleaning, I think about 6pm On the next floor up, there are the two very large dark rooms, one virtually split into two sections. Each has long mattresses running along one or more sides. One side of the right section has only bunk beds but there are more bunks spread throughout the areas. When the sauna is busy, these rooms see a lot of action, and few seem to mind if you watch, even though it's not possible to see much given that it's dark. Imaginations, though, are useful! 𤣠Bareback is unfortunately not uncommon so take your own condoms and lube. At one end there is a TV room often showing Japanese porn (sadly when I have been there with mostly chubby actors) with around 8 slightly partitioned bed areas. The next floor up also has another large dark room with mattresses and bunk beds. At the end above the TV room on the lower floor there is a smaller dark room, again with a mattress and nothing but a starlit ceiling. It's on the next floors that there is a variety of private cabins which require extra payment and keys. I have never been to one but they do seem to be popular. No one cruises up there that I have noticed. As in most Japanese society, it is important to be polite in a sauna setting. If you see someone you like and gently touch his towel or his leg, if he is not interested he will either gently move your hand away or himself move elsewhere. It's not acceptable to pursue this guy further. So just find someone else, or pop down to the bathing area to see if there are any new arrivals who interest you! You'll have fun! I honestly can't imagine any Hong Kong sauna owner changing policy in order to embrace inclusivity!! Increasing profits is much more Hong Kong! I'm keeping my options open for the moment. Having been to 7 already and being much less interested in the dance parties and overcrowded saunas and hot springs than in the Parade itself, I may give it a miss this year as I do want also to revisit Tokyo.1 point

After conquering first Japan and subsequently Thailand and Taiwan, movies in the BL genre are now popular in more homophobic South Korea. The following CNN article tells of a South Korean singer and actor Park Jae-chan who had had very limited success in the world of K-Pop. His group was only selling 1,000 copies of their latest albums during their first weeks. Then Park was approached to play a lead in a BL movie. "Semantic Error" became a huge streaming hit and was later seen by 60,000 in Seoul cinemas. Well, I don't know of such a thing as a paper application process existing anymore, Scott. As far as I know everything dealing with the Brazilian Consulates/embassies is first thru the Brazilian government portal. You need to apply (on-line) there first to obtain a protocol, and only then do you send in your passport, photos and payment to the Brazil consulate in your jurisdiction. And, the consulates affected by Senior Lula's decree have not received the go-ahead as of now to process visitor visas (vitims). That's my understanding, anyway.1 point -

With the heat presently being experienced in Spain, France, Italy and Greece, I wonder if anyone in their late 50s or early 60s would be taking a gamble that the temperatures are not going to rise significantly over the course of their retirement. In the past Portugal, which in fact is #1 on that list in the 2023 Index with Thaland at #9, has had occasional fires, but I think not many. On average its temperatures are much below those of neighbouring Spain. My only visit was in late September when the weather was extemely pleasant during the day and quite cool at night. I now know four Asians who have moved to Portugal, three to retire and one with a view to retirement. All say it's an amazing country and a good deal cheaper than most others. The financial requirements for retirement are also vastly lower than Thailand, for example. At present the first year requires a bank deposit of less than âŹ10,000 or US$11,250. Taking the annual one year payment rather than the monthly route, Thailand requires $23,400 for 5 months reducing to $11,700 for 7. But unlike in Portugal, this cannot be touched! I believe also the charge in Portugal is less for second and subsequent years. From your very first day, you are in the Schengen Zone making travel to other countries in the zone so easy. After 5 years you are entitled to become a permanent resident. That then gives you access to the free health service. There is also a vast number of towns and villages outside Lisbon and Porto where the cost of living is less. Plus the sea and beaches are never far away. And all that is before you start thinking about some of the excellent Portuguese wine!1 point -

As this holiday ends and I am writing from Tokyo, just a few last words reflecting on my first hiring holiday in Thailand: 2 weeks in Bangkok (arrived an early Monday morning, left a late Saturday evening) I tried to sample a bit of everything, the Grindr boys, a boy from every famous bar and a masseur from every famous spa, and got each day an average of 4 or 5 orgasms (which all either happened in spas or my hotels) Total spent just on boys (*) THB 131,000 So we are talking about 12 * 4.5 = 54 orgasms, which gives me an average of THB 2425. My final recommendation if for BT House Men Massage on Sutthisan Winitchai rd. They donât have the largest number of masseurs, but they seem to vet them thoroughly. I tried 2: Kla and Wit and they were both exceptional in their massage skills and in the transition into the sex. Wit was so good I hired him right away to spend the night with me, and he kept delivering. I think he is gorgeous, but mostly he really likes to top and to bottom and takes all the pleasure he can get out of it for himself, he is not just giving you an orgasm, he wants one too, and then he wants cuddles and kisses etc. BT house men spaâs line account is @BTMASSAGE https://liff.line.me/1645278921-kWRPP32q/?accountId=btmassage (*) In this cost, I am including the bar fines, the drinks for myself and the boys (which are a necessary evil to speak to them and find out if we are compatible), the payments for their short time or long time, the payments to the Grindr guys, the presents bought at the mall, the spa fees for the massages, and the âtipsâ for the masseurs. I am excluding the restaurants, the entrance fees for various activities, the hotels, the taxis, the flights.1 point -
Keep in mind that the guy was aged 81 and had underlying health conditions (diabetes, hypertension). Also, the article was published in the Global Times, which is a Chinese Communist Party mouthpiece. Any surprise that the article suggests that Chinese vaccines might be more effective against variants of the virus? (The issue with the vaccines developed in China is that there is poor transparency -- how the trials were conducted and their data/results are not fully publicised. Even the director of the Chinese CDC admitted that their vaccines aren't very effective! see https://www.bmj.com/content/373/bmj.n969)1 point

Day 5.9: Goodnight, Cambodia So you would think Iâd be set with my boy selection in Siem Reap. I brought Cambodia Boy (CB), my handsome long-time money boy friend, and his best friends Fit Khmer (FK), the cute and lean muscular spontaneous sexy guy, and Gorgeous Khmer (GK) the passionate, gorgeous and equally sexy boy, with me to Siem Reap. One would think that any or all combinations of being with these three would be enough for me. If it were just only about sex, Iâll be set. But its really more than just sex for me. Its about the experience. If it was just about sex, I would just stay home and find anonymous sex on Grindr, or once in a while get some from my BF. What I seek here is the experience. The main draw for me to come here as often as I do is the sex industry, be it as big and as brash as the one in Thailand, or the smaller, developing one in Cambodia. In the process I am blessed to meet characters like CB, and forever changed, for the better. And I am the boy who doesnât say no. I am the same way at work, thatâs why I am successful in my job. I will find a way to do everything asked of me at work. And here, the mere mention of offing someone that night, at a country that has less cut-and-dry rules with offing boys than in Thailand, makes me interested. Not horny yet. We will see. I got horny when offing that Space Hair guy in Phnom Penh, so I'm sure one whiff of a new sexy boy will start my engines. I go back to the room and take my portable battery to charge my phone. We then walk to Station Bar, going by Pub Street along the way. It rained earlier so the streets were wet and puddles have formed in the washed out areas of the sidewalk. If you pay attention, you can see how under-maintained the roads and sidewalks are in Cambodia. As the country develops, they would have to step up their efforts in maintaining the streets. Right now a lot of weaving and avoiding was done by me and the boys as we go through the streets of Siem Reap. We get to Station Bar close to 10 PM, and our seats from last night were taken. There were more customers tonight. We sit on the couches further into the bar, and thankfully they were still good seats. I plug in my phone and turn it on. I see some messages from Sareth. I reply, and tell him we are now in Station Bar. I get a response asking if the place had many customers. I reply probably about 15-20. He asks me if any of the customers were cute. I tell him the dancers and waiters were, but not sure about the others. Then a party of 6 chinese tourists, 3 pairs of couples, male and female, came in. I tell Sareth that the guys in that party were cute. He asks me to take photos. I try my best but it was too dark in the bar. The show starts and the numbers were a little bit different. Same formula of lip-syncing lady boys and guys, expertly choreographed dance numbers, all done with a lot of energy that gets everyone into it. I check out the dancers and the wait staff. I would say it was 50-50 for me. Half of them I considered hot and I could imagine sleeping with them. There was one dancer I like very much. And the waiter that was serving me my rum and coke was very very handsome. Okay, so hereâs where I grow a conscience. I am unsure of outing anyone in this bar as money boys. Its different when there are certain boys that are very popular and get discussed here in the forums (like the Tawan boys for example), but when it comes to boys that are fairly anonymous in a bar, I try to protect their identity so they wonât be harassed. I feel like this about Thailand money boys. Since Cambodia bars do not have set âoffing rulesâ like Thailand (i.e. go to a bar, buy a drink/cover, pick a boy for short time or long time, pay the bar an off fee, tip the boy for his services), I feel that not all the people in a bar do it with customers for money. Prostitution in Cambodia is illegal, but prevalent, like Thailand. But I know in Thailand, bars pay âtea moneyâ to be able to continue to subvert the law. I am not sure of the system in Cambodia, if there is any. If the bar doesnât do it, I donât want to expose any individual at a bar to be breaking the law, or be subject to unnecessary harassment. In my Phnom Penh posts, I changed my description of MilGuy enough so that he cannot be identified in Space Hair. From what I understand, the bar itself (Space Hair and others) do not sanction the offing, so just because a boy is in that bar doesn't mean he is offable. Maybe I am being overly cautious, but this is how I want things to be in my reports. Most people here are probably more comfortable in identifying the boys they off, and usually no trouble comes from it. I hope. Anyway, enough with the disclaimers. I zero in on a boy I thought would be good to off. He might be one of the dancers or one of the waiters, but lets call him Station Boy (SBoy). SBoy was busy working during the 10 PM show, and with the place semi-packed, it was hard to make anything happen. The show was similar to last nightâs, with a few songs changed. Same quality of entertainment still: the lip syncing was done expertly, the choreography professional and was expertly executed, and the talent entertaining and attractive (the boys and the ladyboys). The drinks were really good, and getting a refill was done pretty quickly. The boys were paying attention to the numbers, and were drinking pretty happily. I think they were expecting to drink a lot tonight. I pull CB aside and tell him I liked SBoy, and pointed him out to CB. CB confirms to me if I wanted to off the boy. I said maybe, just maybe talk to him to see if he was OK. CB tells FK and GK my choice. They start talking for a bit, maybe strategizing or deciding if indeed the boy was offable. The show goes on without anything happening except for the excellent show. Then it was almost 11 PM and the show ends. The boys order another round of drinks and I do the same. We talk for a bit about the numbers we saw and the songs that were sung, and just enjoy our drinks. CB set his plan into motion. He calls on a waiter that was closest to us and talks to him in Khmer. After a few exchanges, the waiter gets SBoy. After a few minutes SBoy goes to our corner and sits down next to CB. The boys talk to him for a while, and then CB introduced me to SBoy. SBoy talks to me in Khmer but the boys correct him. He asks me for my name in English and also asks me where I am from. SBoy turns to the boys and speaks to them more in Khmer. I let them do this for a while, seeing as there may be a few things they have to talk about. They laugh a few times and CB and FK mostly do the talking, with GK and SBoy listening on. CB squeezes my hand once in a while. And then CB asks SBoy some questions and SBoy replies in Khmer still. A few of these exchanges and SBoy takes out his cellphone, turns on his screen and gives it to CB. CB keys in his contacts in Line (?) and gives it back to SBoy. He nods at my direction as he leaves. I ask CB what happened. CB tells me that SBoy had to get back to work for a while, but he has CBâs contacts. He says he can join us later. He told SBoy we were going to Temple Club after this to drink some more. I ask CB if he asked SBoy about my wish to off him. CB said he wasnât sure about that yet, but he says that he has a good feeling about him. We stay in the bar for 10 more minutes until our drinks were finished. I pay up ($30 or so) and we leave the bar. We head to Pub Street and see that the street was busy like last night. We get to Temple Club and it was a little bit less packed than last night. After going around the bar, we found an actual table that was unoccupied. The table was somewhat in a corner and fairly close to the dance floor. The boys quickly descend on it and we sit down and get ready to drink some more. We get a menu and I ask the boys if they wanted to get drunk tonight. The answer was a resounding âYES!â from everyone. Jomtien boys, still want to drink. We agree on getting a pitcher of the Long Island Iced Tea, and a pitcher of Angkor beer. I canât joke around with these boys, pitchers were the only way to go. We get eight glasses, two for each boy and for each drink. CB pours me some Long Island because he knows how much I like it. FK distributed the beers to everyoneâs glasses and we all raise a glass and toast to the night, and the week. It was definitely an action packed week and now, it was almost over. It went by so fast. It was kind of hard to talk in the bar as the music was so loud. The boys were almost shouting as they tried to talk to me, and each other in Khmer. Sometimes one or all would stand up and dance to the beat. There was a moment where CB and GK were dancing to the beat, and FK and I were sitting down looking at both of them a the dance. He sits closer and puts his arm around me to pull me close. He asks me when I will go to Pattaya next. I tell him I donât know for sure, but I will let CB know. FK tells me to let him know as well. He tells me he is going to give me his Line when we get back to the hotel. He tells me he wants to see me again. He then kisses me, in Temple Club. I return it with enthusiasm. Noone seems to mind in the club, including CB. It was 12:30 PM when CB gets a call on his phone. It was SBoy, telling CB he was coming over to Temple Club. CB tells me. I almost forgot that SBoy was coming, or existed. I got up and danced with CB for a bit. GK and FK sat down to get more drinks. The beer pitcher was now empty, and the Long Island pitcher was almost done as well. We were all thirsty tonight. I tell CB to order more drinks so he gets another pitcher of beer and Long Islands, as well as more glasses for SBoy. There was another boy coming and he will be needing drinks. After a few minutes we see SBoy looking for us in the club. FK bolts and fetches him. He was wearing different, more trendy clothes. He greets everyone and sits beside me. He asks for my name again and shakes my hand. The new pitchers and glasses come and FK serves SBoy some. SBoy says something in Khmer. Everyone is sitting down to welcome the newcomer. After a few words in Khmer, the boys switch to English to include me in the conversation. Not much conversation to be had of course, because of the music. At some point the boys get up to dance in front of us. It was clear everyone had a lot to drink now. Everyone was more giggly and more playful. I was feellng a bit tipsy myself. SBoy was pleasant enough. He was very handsome, his hair styled very trendy, and his cologne smelled great and suited him. He was my type, young, tall and lean muscular. I was close to him but I wasnât really excited to be close to him. I was more interested in the fun the other boys were having. It was nice to be in the presence of a new sexy boy but somehow the three Khmer wonders were occupying my brain right now. Some more dancing, a drinking game, and multiple drinks later, it was now 1:30 AM. CB pulls me aside and asks me âWhat is happening now?â I tell him I just wanted to back to the hotel with him and his friends and call it a night. He was puzzled by this. âYou sure?â I say yes. I wasnât really feeling it. âHe can go room with you. I know.â Yes but I am OK. I think we can just go home because I have a flight tomorrow. CB says OK. He whispers some words to FK and GK. Pretty soon all the pitchers were empty and I ask for a bottled water. All night I was trying let the boys drink most of the alcohol because I didnât want to get a hangover tomorrow. Still, I had a lot to drink. I ask CB to get the bill. When SBoy goes to the toilet, I ask CB if I need to tip SBoy. He says it was up to me. I told him I will give him $5. He said it was fine. I down the whole bottled water and SBoy comes back. CB tells him, in Khmer, that we were going home. I hand him $5 and he thanks me. He asks me if I wanted him to go back to the hotel room with them. I tell him no, without hesitation. He hugs me and waves goodbye to the boys. I pay about $32 for the pitchers and water. Not quite the ending I thought the night would have. Maybe on a different night, if I was staying for another day, if I wasnât accompanied by these dynamic boys, SBoy wouldâve gone home with me and we would have had a nice time together. Right now, all I wanted was to go back to the hotel and call it a night. We get to the hotel and get our keys and head back to the room. It was past 2 AM. I had to be up by 7 AM. CB knew this and instructed the boys to shower quickly and get to bed. FK and GK shower together and CB and I donât even shower. CB and I both strip to our underwear and lay in bed. Eventually, GK emerges from the bathroom in a towel and puts on underwear and lies down on the single bed to sleep. FK then finishes and was in a towel as well. He puts on boxer briefs and sits down on our queen bed. He asks me if he can join me and CB in bed. I say sure and look at CB, who was already asleep. I try to move CB more to his side to create more room for FK, and I occupy the center of the bed. FK turns off all the lights and then slips into the other side of the bed and lays down. FK immediately hugs and spoons me. He kisses my neck and face and says âGood night.â It was a tight fit in the bed, but I was drunk and tired and didnât care. I was the meat in a Khmer sandwich. Good night Cambodia.1 point
